Not feeling safe in London, Vanessa (Eva Green) and Ethan (Josh Hartnett) flee to the Cut-Wife’s cottage on the lonely moors. While there, Vanessa and Ethan settle into a domestic life as they draw closer together until a figure from her dark past resurfaces. Meanwhile back in London, Lyle (Simon Russell Beale) and Frankenstein (Harry Treadaway) uncover even more disturbing information from the Verbis Diablo relics. We soon discover that Lily (Billie Piper) isn’t what she appears to be.

ReplyDeleteExactly. Also they confirmed he is "lupus dei" and that he is supposed to protect her or at least fight for her soul. Ethan represents the good side (God) in her life.
ReplyDeleteALERT!!! ALERT!!!! There is a strange individual running on the streets and crying hysterically. Do not, I repeat, do not approach. Do not call the funny farm. Just leave him/her/it be. This state of euphoria? will soon pass. The episodes after this one will make sure of that.

ReplyDeleteIt doesn't even matter anymore, she's into Frankenstein and Ethan is into Vanessa. So if there's something that'll come between Ethan and Vanessa, it's the devil and the witches since they know he's Vanessa's protector. OR it's about something else, but probably not something related to past lovers, from what Eva and Josh said in interviews, it's all about these two and no one else. I guess we'll see =)

ReplyDeleteI don't think the situation will change, Josh was asked about Vanessa and Brona and he said what he feels for Vanessa this season is much stronger than what he's felt for a long time, and that he cared about Brona but his love for Vanessa was different, so if he finds out, his feelings for Vanessa will not go away. Plus, Brona/Lily moved on as well. So yeah, I don't think something will change, imo of course.
ReplyDeleteThe moors seem like a perfect place for him to wolf out. I think he will end up killing most of the witches actually. And I'm not very worried about Brona now as Vanessa seems to be his women now.

ReplyDeleteYeah, but he's supposed to transform next week as well, and it makes me wonder if Vanessa will see him during his change? I mean, the "I'm here to accept you" kinda foreshadows that, and I also wonder if werewolf!Ethan would attack her, because these two have a special connection and he was basically sent by God to protect her so I wonder if the werewolf inside of him would attack her or act differently?
ReplyDeleteI think it's likely they live in the same house now. Ethan can't help that he wolfs out and causes collateral damage. Him and Vanessa have both killed people but not on purpose. Plus he will be chained so she may see him when she returns from Dorians party.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of Dorian's party, Ethan is supposed to go to the party as well, there was a spoiler before the season starts where TV Guide said 3 waltzes were created for the show, and one of them was for Ethan and Vanessa, and since it's a party, I guess that scene will be this week. So I wonder if Ethan's transformation will not happen another day? Maybe the following day? I don't know how they'll deal with the lycanthropy's subject on the show, but maybe he'll have some effects one day before? Y'know, like a warning that it's happening? And I guess he changes at the full moon?
ReplyDeleteAnd I agree, I totally can see this happening, the "I'm here to accept you" makes me believe that she'll see him as the wolfman and she'll not be afraid of him.
A Ethan/Vanessa dance?? Hmmm that will be interesting he is her protector/lover then. I actually think he is over Brona but he will be upset no doubt or people could be making more out of it then will happen. Given a werewolf's superhuman strength I suspect he will just shred the witches. They can overcome normal humans but a werewolf is known for its strength and savagry.
ReplyDeleteIf he knows, I think the fact that Vanessa didn't recognised her was on purpose, I think the creator decided to let them live their own lives now, Lily with the creature and Frankenstein, and Ethan with Vanessa and the whole gang. But the season is not over yet, so I guess he still can see her before the season ends (Vanessa will probably see Dorian at the party as well), but one thing is for sure, seeing her will not alter his feelings for Vanessa, that's for sure.
ReplyDeleteI also think the Madam maybe killed by Ethan. I suspect her plan will start falling apart once Ethan mauls several of her witches.
ReplyDeleteShe said it herself, Ethan worries her because he's Vanessa's protector, so I guess she'll try to get rid of him. But I honestly think it's Vanessa herself who's gonna kill her, Ethan will probably kill the other witches.
ReplyDeleteHmmm I wonder how that will happen? I do think they will do the deed at the cottage though and I suspect it won't turn out badly unlike with Dorian who has sex with everything and everyone.
ReplyDeleteI think they won't actually, we know how FAST people have sex on this show, the only one who didn't are Ethan and Vanessa, I think there's a reason, there's something "special" between these two and I think them having sex will be a big deal for the plot, ugh I don't know how to explain it, I think the fact they didn't had sex yet is because them having sex will provoke something, good or bad I don't know, but it'll do something, Eva said in multiple interviews that Ethan and Vanessa will be afraid of their desire for each other because they're afraid it's going to destroy them, so yeah, I think there's a reason why they don't have sex yet, it'll probably happen in the season finale.

ReplyDelete"Draw closer together" is already exciting enough. But for me the "domestic life" is what makes me squee!!! Based on the promo pics Vanessa and Ethan will be on the moors for a while. How will they get information about the progress the rest of the gang is making?
ReplyDeleteI certainly want to see how things pan out them. Before Lily was completely dependent on Victor and I think that made him feel good and wanted. What happens when she wants to go out on her own and explore? I'm afraid, based on Victor's jealousy on Sunday, that he may slip deeper into his drug use. I think it was the episode when John first met Lily, the two men where arguing and you could clearly see the track marks on both this arms.
ReplyDeleteExactly, though Ethan would find Brona alive, he would ask explanations to Victor and maybe would fight with Caliban, but Brona is just an undead, and Ethan already just live and breath by Vanessa. Ethan is deeply in love with her, is pure madness. He would die for protect her and he desires her, i hope this can to be the most epic episode for my beloved Ethanessa.
ReplyDeleteThe only woman whom he loves is Vanessa, all the stuff of Brona/Ethan never had much sense for me, but i recognize love ok, but it´s done. What Ethan feels by Vanessa is more strong that himself. And i´m not an impossible romantic, i hate the couples who live in CheesyLand, but i´m realistic, In S1 Ethan liked Vanessa, but he did not can have any with her, in S2 he finally can make his dream real. When he find to Brona Victor will have problems and much more Caliban, Ethan will fight with him, some spoiler i have read by everywhere.
ReplyDeleteMaybe then is not your serie favourite. If you don´t care the two main roles...the show is from Vanessa Ives, the rest of characters are interested as the hell, i can see that, but the soul of this series are Ethan & Vanessa´s fate.
