Thanks for compiling Robert
ReplyDeleteAmazing show.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome!
ReplyDeleteIt's currently my favorite show on TV, tied with Game of Thrones.
ReplyDeleteGood review, I dont have problems with any of your choices. Here's to an awesome season 2 and many more memorable moments.
ReplyDeleteYou honestly write the best articles Robert, I love this! Amazing going back reliving these moments. Oh man I'm still balling my eyes out at that final scene you've put there!! You should totally do a similar one for Game of Thrones when it finishes airing ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks! Although, I haven't really wrote anything ;) All of these were chosen by fans. The scenes from 1.16 and 1.14 were chosen by me, my two favorite scenes from the first season.
ReplyDeleteSince hardly any TV is on I doubt a lot of the team will have moments, or enough, to do a regular most memorable moments article, so I probably will do one for Game of Thrones.
Love all of these and more. Love the whole beautiful show!
ReplyDeleteI do as well. It's become my favorite show. Well, joint favorite, but still. It's really impressed me and the books also are a great read.
ReplyDeleteWOW Robert amazing work ...thanks ...good memories of the first season. I really enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteexcellent list. The scene just before they exchange vows is number one for me. Everything about that scene (the lighting, the music, I loved the dress) just made me go all sappy. Another honorable metion is the scene between Claire and Jack Randall - at the fort just before Dougal comes in to get her. It's an incredily long sequence....and not once did I look away from the screne. Frequently when I'm watching TV I'm on my computer or reading a book.....I was riveted.
ReplyDeleteLove this! Btw the song that Claire sings is called "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy"!
ReplyDeleteGreat season, great actors, I definitely love this show, my favorite !!! season 2 will not come as fast!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Someone sent me the moment, but I didn't know what it was called. I was trying to find it, but had no luck. Now I can change it.
ReplyDeleteThanks! Although, the people who submitted the moments deserve the praise, they chose them. The only ones which were my picks were the ones for 1.16 & 1.14. I loved them scenes.
ReplyDeleteIt's been a fantastic first season, absolutely breathtaking. Every episode has been amazing. I hope it comes before 2016, I don't think I can wait that long.
ReplyDeleteI could have included many more moments, but I think I would be here all day listing honorable mentions if I did that ;)
ReplyDeleteThe season as a whole has had so many wonderful moments, some heartbreaking, some horrifying, everything has added to the season to make it, for me, one of the best seasons of any show I have seen.
All great scenes. I missed The Wedding
ReplyDeleteAnd can we discuss collecting bribe money to get them to run the entire season without a multi-month break?
ReplyDeleteThat was very annoying, but I think they only planned to do 8 originally for the first season and also STARZ's scheduling didn't allow 16 in a row. They only air one show at a time.
ReplyDeleteFor season 2, I have been told they plan to do less than 16, probably 12-13 episodes. I'm not sure whether they'd split it or not, again. It's likely to come out in Spring as before that doesn't seem possible given how long it takes to film/the other returning shows.
All great moments & love them all. Thanks Robert.
ReplyDeleteI would lobby for them broadcasting it like an American Daytime soap (except weekly) but I try to avoid losing bets. Bummed by the shorter order. I hope that that's driven by Ron Moore's determination of how many episodes he needs to tell Dragonfly in Amber's story and not some Starz exec's arbitrary decleration.
ReplyDeleteMy wish list for season one was that we'd gotten at least another ep at Lallybroch (so we could spend more time with Claire settling in and becoming a country doctor. [there's that moment in the book where she gives the mother of a boy with epilepsy a talisman to comfort her. I thought it was lovely evidence that she'd learned something from her trials in Crainsmiur.]) and maybe an extra ep at Castle Leoch (I felt like we didn't get enough of Jamie and Claire becoming friends - before the wedding). Just a wish list. I though Ron Moore did a fabulous job of translating the story to film.
Great list and you're absolutely right...so many more!
ReplyDeleteMy three are 'burn' related...
When Jamie tells Claire by the burn, "well, I guess you're coming with me". Ok, if I must.
When Jamie is touching the brown curls on the back Claire's neck describing it 'like ripples in the burn'. Need I say more?
Lastly, the first big argument between these two next to the burn after the rescue at Fort William, unforgettable...Sam and Cait knocked my socks off!
These three scenes I will watch/ have watched repeatedly. Love to love everything Outlander.
Would love a GOT list too! Thanks Robert!
I will watch season 1 again and again till season 2
