Apologies if anything below sounds muddled or misspelled, but these 40 + minutes moved me so much. Thanks from the bottom of my heart to Graeme Manson for this episode! (Please save Delphine though)

The score during the scene between Shay and Cosima was great. I need a soundtrack for Season 3 now (I still love that score during the end of 3.06)

What a stunning scene between Helena and Mark, truly moving, the score and the way they lay their helps on the ground was wonderful. "We had a purpose just like you.”
My heart broke, Mrs S’ mom put Sarah and S together, “I couldn’t expect any forgiveness, she’s your blood too, a little piece of me, all I had left of my foul life to give.” This episode is full of wonderful writing and such lovely performances.
Ahhh, Delphine!! Thank god she shot him, Neolution freaks me out. James Frain was brilliant smashing that guys face (his name escapes me).
My heart broke again, what a selfless act Delphine, letting Cosima be with Shay “Be good to her.” :(
I never knew how much I needed a Clone Club Dinner scene but that was the perfect thing! :) I loved all the toasts at the dinner table so much :) Beth R.I.P. and too Kira’s little face :) Hahaha, “Bull-cookie”!!

OH MY GOD NO!!!! DELPHINE!!!! I had such a bad feeling something was happening but I never expected her to get shot (Please don’t be dead, please!!). The slight alterations in the score made me nervous during this scene.
KIRA! The cinematography in this scene touches my heart, the overhead shot of mother and daughter lying on the cold, white snow is beautiful.
Now begins the long wait for Season 4 :(

Thought it was a really great episode. Clunky in places, but overall a satisfying experience. Loved the Helena-Jesse reunion scene and the Helena-Rudy fight scene. Also, it's nice how they find room for a scene with all the clones...dance party last season, dinner party this season.

ReplyDeleteUmm, I can't remember but they kinda did (not directly). Sarah did say there "was a few of us missing though", I guess that's her way of including Paul too. There was more of an emphasis on Clones and Beth :) Can't wait to rewatch it too!
So it all comes full circle...all comes back to those Neolution freaks...
ReplyDeleteBy the way I knew it was Duncan's wife/Rachel's mother from the very moment she was on the other end of the phone with Nealon back in 3.08. How the hell did she get Charlotte there?! Is Marion in on it too? Please tell me she's not, I wanted to believe she's the only good person in all this.
LOL @ Ferdinand's reaction to his guard being with Neolutionists, "that makes us BFFS", LMAO.
Awwh, and that ending with Kira was perfect. So was the dinner party, finally all the sestras together at last; with all the family no less. And Kendall will be staying in Iceland, I guess! And as Allie said - I hope that from now on they'll all be together, 'cause this season they were all in different places, Sarah had a hard time being the glue hat keeps them together, ha. Thank God Helena finishes the season on a positive note.
I bawled like a baby during that Cophine goodbye kiss...So, any theories as to who shot her?! Was it Shay? And what did that mean, what she said "what would happen to her?" or sth along those lines - I guess she meant Cosima and that makes me think it was Shay...Which is also a cheap way out on the writers' part to have her shot like that...Because she was supposed to be leaving, left Shay the card, which I assume she'll give to Cos...and even if she didn't wise up outside Bubbles as to what that kiss meant, she'll piece things together then...And conveniently no one will be looking for our dear Delhpine, ugh.
I have grown to like Ferdinand so much in the finale...whereas I have an utter feeling I'll dislike Rachel's mom...Behind that smile hides pure evil. Coady had her moments and despite all her wrongdoings I warmed up to her, she cared about her boys...And Mrs Duncan seems to be even crazier than Ethan and only has her awful agenda in her mind, ugh. And eww - that part with Nealon's worm was disgusting. Worse than the tail actually, lol. THAT WAS EPIC.
How the hell am I supposed to wait almost a year after a finale like that?! It was perfect from start to end, had its suspense-moments, had joyous, family moments and heartbreaking ones as well.
I guess I'll have to sign off from the Internet for a long time after this, won't I?
I cried. I cried so many times. This finale was above and beyond my favorite finale from the show thus far. Phenomenal. I'm feeling so many different emotions right now, but all I know is that I'm so satisfied with how Graeme Manson and John Fawcett closed out the season.

Awww her and Jesse reuniting after all that she's been through <3 I really want to see more of their relationship because Helena deserves so much happiness in her life. Also pairing up Donnie/Helena was absolutely brilliant. It has been so hilarious and so adorable watching these two interact. Kudos! Badass fight sequence with Rudy! I was cheering so hard.
And the return of Neolution is finally upon us! I knew that they were the 3rd faction and the big bad in all of this and it would bring all of this full circle. And they have returned in a big way with them infiltrating and maneuvering every single player in this experiment. Sneaky little neolutionists! Can't wait to see how our Clone Club deals with them next season.
I know Delphine has been very polarizing among the fans this season but I'm glad she went out in a heroic way with just apologizing to Shay for what she did to her and giving her Cosima's tag number if she ever finds out the truth about the clones. I, for one, was fascinated with her character evolution this season (just not all the Cosima/Delphine angst) and I'm really going to miss Evelyne Brochu a lot (if Delphine really is dead). It would totally be shocking if Scott was the one that pulled the trigger but you never know with this show....
Susan Duncan is alive!! and Charlotte is with her and is going to be Rachel's daughter? Where is Marian is all of this?! Did the Neolutionists kill her so they could take Charlotte? So many questions that have me even more excited for season 4. Also, badass bionic eye Rachel has!
The dinner party with everyone at Bubbles was so lovely. And yay Alison won school trustee! Take that, Marci Coates! Also loved everyone toasting to Beth in her honor <3
Sarah reuniting with her monkey, Kira made me all teary eyed :') I loved how this season closed out on a happy note, a nice change from the previous seasons. And with that, now the cruel and long wait for season 4 begins! Till next time Clone Club :)

ReplyDeleteScott is an interesting idea. My first thought was it was Shay as the shooter so Delphine's initial distrust turned out to be valid. I definitely think it was someone close to Cosima based on what Delphine said.
ReplyDeleteI was actually expecting Jesse to not remember Helena and say, 'So, miss, you need a tow?'. I'm glad I was wrong. I liked how he seemed so impressed and in awe of her... So funny and cute.
ReplyDeleteTake note networks, producers, and writers that this season of Orphan Black is how you do a 3rd season.............write it down and remember it! This might have been the "best" finale of the series (except for one part) and the season of "Sistra Helena", IMO.

Thoughts:
- Rachel out of the frying pan and into the fire..............maybe.
- from maternal and fraternal clone lines to cybernetics (Rachel's new eye) and parasites/symbiotes ( Dr. Nealon's mouth/throat worm was very strigoi - like). This series is a fine mix of drama, action, thrills, sci - fi, and a pinch of horror (when Helena is on the loose, lol).
- Susan Duncan alive and Neolutionist agenda mean what for "Clone Club" (season 4)?
- Helena will/should be having a "baby" next season..............boy or girl, "Clone Club" fandom?
- where was Jessie during the dinner?
Now the "horror" of waiting for next season...............DAMMIT! 4 ORPHAN CLONE CLUB, I will remain Nobody!!!
How long did you watch the clone dinner before it hit you that the same person played most of the people in the room? It didn't hit me until almost the end.

The scene with Helena and Rudy summarizes the true tragedy surrounding the Castor boys, because like Helena, they were born in a world of violence, denied their humanity, and trained as weapons to be used by others -- never even had a chance. Mark was fortunate to escape and I'm looking forward to see what he brings to the table later.
So glad to have Jesse back!
I'm not the warmest Delphine's fan in the world. I have to admit it. We lost two recurring characters that I couldn't bring myself to love . Of course, this will be a huge heartache to Cosima. I'm sorry for her.

ReplyDeleteSo many lovely moments - The Jesse and Helena reunion, I wasn't expecting that! The dinner scene was perfect, I preferred it over the dance scene from S2. All the Beth mentions aww. Even Helena laying on the ground as Rudy died made me emotional. Sarah/Kira reunion, so sweet.

As soon as Kendall mentioned Susan being corrupted by the Neologists I knew she would be back! I hope Rachel can somehow get through to her mum.

ReplyDeleteThis episode was great but about Delphine. I believed she knew she was poisoned by whatever was in the mouth of that crazed Doctor. She knew she only had one day left to live so she tried to set things right then had herself killed so she would not suffer the effects of the poison.

Watched 310, then immediately watched 309 and 310 again. Counting the days till DVD of season 3 is released. Best Show On Television :)
ReplyDeleteIt's about time that Helena had a good finale, so happy for her and Jesse Towing ;) I just hope that he is what he appears to be, I like the character and actor a lot. It's rare that you will find me behind a ship in any show, but this one I approve of whole heartily, so far.
ReplyDeleteI just want our clones to be happy and when they are, I am. I'm really glad Jesse was so nice, I was afraid he wasn't going to be as kind as he was to Helena (just because this show has taught me to be very cautious about other new characters).

I know this is a sci-fi show, but this theory is silly...That is definitely not what happened, and is actually less likely than the fact that she will in fact die from the shot...Which I hope won't happen still.

ReplyDeleteGreat Season finale! My guess as for Delphine's shooter is evil Ferdinand, and as for "What will happen to her" think she meant Coady. Ferdinand didn't kill her on the spot, so she has to be with him and was taking her to Dyad.
ReplyDeleteI just looooved bad-ass French Fatal Hellphine, just loved her, she looked gorgeous, wore incredible cloths and her revengy mood was awesome! Hellphine just made me drop my jaw from the very 1st ep of S3 when she shoved her thumb on Rachel's eye, unfreekingbelievable.
Unfortunately her new job and choices made her be all alone, heart broken and mistrusted by everyone.
And yet she went to apologize to Shay, to tell her she would not get on the way and to be good to Cosima ... who does that? Delphine all love for Cosima, damn, that just bring tears all over again.
And that good bye kiss ... so wish Cosima had stopped her and made her come in to the dinner.
I think Delphine is really gone :( but also that Shaysima would be cursed for ever. How could Cosima possibly stay with Shay after she gets the card and knows exactly what it means and who it is from? Delphine's ultimate sacrifice and blessing. Damn!!!
Wouldn't it be great if Delphine came back for Cosima? As Cos came back for her??? Yeah, well, wishful thinking, that ain't happening.
The rest of the episode was so amazing as well, I still cannot believe how these brilliant writers can pack so much, in so little time!
Loved Donnie's surprise to Helena, absolutely adored Helena's weird innocence, humor, spontaneity and her bravery and confidence when she needs to fight crazy Rudy.
Mrs. S at the dinner complementing Alison, and concerned is Sarah was ok, and not letting Donnie pour wine to Helena... really the mother hen.
Sarah's reunion with Kira was priceless, "almost" made me forget I was in shock and screaming for Delphine. Much Moly.
Loooved the season, and the characters. Just don't know how we are going to wait for 10 long months!
The one thing I did miss this season was the super hot steamy sex scene, I was hooked since ep1 S1, with the story line and the sex scene with Sarah and Paul sealed the deal. S2 we had BDP and Rachel and S3 ... only the sweet Shaysima scene.
Hope we get a super hot sex scene with Sarah/Cal or Helena/Jesse in S4.
