  5. Released early? O_O

There's still quiet on the end of the usual suspects who cater to TV audiences internationally. Now, only problem is figuring out how to be patient.

  6. Yup, it's pretty great how it happened actually. There was a premiere event party in NYC with all the OITNB stars and Uzo Aduba asked the Netflix CEO if he could release S3 about 6 hours early. He said yes and practically the whole internet blew up haha. Already on episode 5 and the show is better than ever! S3 is awesome. https://instagram.com/p/3z3qtZHXHb/

  8. The early release meant I got to watch episode 1 before work, now I have a horrible wait for the rest! Good opening episode, once again Poussey broke my heart and god poor Ruiz at the end with her baby. Bennett’s motherboard joke was so awkward, bonding with family ha.

  9. That whole scene with Ruiz being told by her boyfriend Yadriel that he and their daughter weren't going to come back to Litchfield anymore definitely made my heart hurt for her. We don't know much about her but we do see a lot of her so it made for a very emotional scene when she went up in a fit of rage and couldn't do anything about it as they walked away :( I loved their little interactions a lot last season so I hope this isn't the last of them.

As for Bennett, oh god that motherboard joke had me rolling. You could just sense the awkwardness coming from the Diaz family and the whole time Caputo was standing right behind him and he had no clue and just kept a huge smile on his face before he turned around. I just love that guy haha. Also loved the scene between Sophia and her son and her giving tips on how to get girls. More Sophia is the best.

  10. I hope Ruiz gets a happy ending! This is what I love about the show, how even minor inmates get moments to shine and their stories can have a real impact.

Seriously I thought it was a pretty good joke! But yeah so awkward.

Laverne Cox said Sophia is getting more to do this season and I hope she gets to bond more with her son.

  11. Watched the first 2 last night before bed. Fantastic episodes, I liked that they're a bit lighter already than season two was. Piper got on my nerves a bit, honestly, but it was great to see everyone again. I'm excited for what's coming up.

  12. Shit!!!! Episode 1: minute: 7
Alex turns around: "I'll take it!!!"
    SHIT!!!

  13. I think those were fakes. They listed 14 episodes for the season when the order has always been for 13.

    ReplyDelete
  14. That was such a great moment!

    ReplyDelete
  15. Is the number of episodes 14 or 13?? Wikipedia states 13 but a lot of articles have been saying 14? Can anyone please clear this up?

  16. The book funeral in episode 3 was hilarious.

  17. My whole viewing plan/schedule got upended. Sister has come to visit along with her kids for the weekend and those little demons just wouldn't leave me in peace ( I grumble, but I secretly enjoy the time spent with them). Anyways, finally got around to seeing the first episode just now.

    SPOILERS AHEAD:

    Episode 1 Reactions:

Whole episode was light and it was so nice to see all the old familiar faces again. And then the final minutes were such a gut punch what with Pennsatucky crying over her aborted kids (loved that Big Boo was there for her), all the visiting kids having to see their mothers lying on the ground and Maria's partner telling her that he won't bring their daughter anymore. Maria's reaction to that made me tear up.

Red finally got to know that there was something wrong with the family shop - considering the fact that Piper lied to her (n S2)and said that business was great, this should be a hard moment for Red. What will she do now? She wanted to give up the contraband business in the prison and was actually looking forward to her future release.

Nikki is tempting fate and now that the tunnel has been blocked by Red, there is even more chance of her falling off the wagon in a huge way.

  18. Watching episode 4... It's Piper's birthday and i've got only one thing to say:
    DEAR ... GOD!!!!
    hahahaha that was awesome!

  21. Just finished binge watching the whole season. Waiting for the rest of you to catch up. :)

  22. Just finished this season. it was pretty amazing, but there are many big questions like: "What happend to Alex?" "Is Stella gonna appear in season 4?" "Wtf was in Pipers mind when she did that to Stella?"

    ReplyDelete
  23. letting us wait an entire year to see if Alex is alive is way too mean

  24. I love the fact that Piper is devolving so much. Cal jokingly called her Walter White Ink but towards the end we could see her inner Heisenberg come out to play. It made me giddy. The show isn't afraid to drag her through the muck and I love it all the more for it.

I was pretty unimpressed early on in the season with way too much focus on Alex/Piper but the moment their story lines diverged they both became interesting. Piper with her business and Alex with her very real fears about Kubra's reach.

Completely agree with you on the fact that the show is even more interesting and enriched when it focuses on and fleshes out the secondary and tertiary characters. There were so many flashbacks for different characters and smart focus on a lot of others that led us to develop empathy for them.

I loved Flaca a lot this season. She was a stupid kid who made a mistake and here she was in prison with aspirations to do better than continue working in the kitchen.

Pennsatucky's character development has been gold. Absolute gold. She made me cry.

  25. If Piper is Walter White, I'm scared she is going to take some impressionable young inmate and make them her Jesse Pinkman! No it is really fun seeing her like this, I guess how she reacts to whatever Alex's fate is will really show us how far she has gone or not.

Honestly every time we get a flashback for a character we haven't had yet I just sit back and smile and now with a bunch of new women joining we shall no doubt get some more interesting and diverse characters.

Flaca has always been one of my favourite minor characters because the whole being Hispanic and being an emo/goth is not something you see a lot but her backstory really got to me. She made a stupid mistake, she wasn't even selling real drugs like a lot of the women! It seems very unfair.

Pennsatucky really got to me, I haven't watched S1 for a while but it will be odd rewatching it and seeing the character back then and how she is now.

  26. Not as good as season 2, and the lake scene I see they are ending on a happy note, because season 4 with the pack of new prisoners is going to be alot.

But next season, I think yogo jones, anita and Brook will get flashbacks. Only ones who haven't had any episodes yet. So many people in the cast, probably forgot someone.

Cant wait for Judy King next season in prison.

  27. It started a bit shaky for me - especially the Alex & Piper stuff. But I really enjoyed the season as a whole. I thought they did a good job of balancing the cast, and making things a bit lighter than season 2. I think I enjoyed this season a bit more overall. I loved the panty-selling storyline, it was so strange and had a lot of hilarious moments. I like how it included Piper's brother.

The Gloria / Sophia story was really interesting, too. I like both characters and could see both sides of it. It was sad to watch Sophia get treated that way by the other inmates near the end, but her leaving with dignity was great. I'm excited to see where that story goes.

I wouldn't mind Alex being killed off, honestly. I'm not really looking forward to more back-and-forth with her and Piper. I think Piper is more interesting when interacting with other characters and different groups in the prison.

Uzo Aduba continues to be AMAZING as Suzanne. Even her funny scenes are touching because she's just so childish and cute. I loved her moment with Taystee bonding over V's death, and her moment with Poussey when they talked about their fight last season.

It was an amazing season. Just finished watching yesterday and i loved it.

Think i liked S2 a little bit more. Maybe it's because the big bad en S2 was a prisoner which is far more interesting than a big bad ass corporation.
That storyline was unexpected, but i'm fine with it. Red getting back to the Kitchen was perfect and about time!
Piper has gone wild, and much darker than before. Wonder if that makes somehow her original sentence longer.

What happened to Nicky! Does anyone know why was she only in like 3 episodes?
And what about Bennet? Does his new show "How to get away with murder" might've something to do with him abandoning Daya and his child?

Alex better survive, i like her. Glad we got to see more of Boo "Carrie Black" this season, She's phenomenal, and her backstory was really sad.

  29. Just started today and watched the first 3 eps. Think I'll go to ep 6 tonight.
The first 2 episodes were so strong.
Episode 1, brilliant idea to use Mother's day and move the story further along. Sophia and her son were so well set up. The moments between them really strong. On spot.
But honestly when that alarm started ringing in the final moments and all the inmates had to lay down, I teared up. So emotional, and the kids screaming what's happening. Heartbreaking.

Episode 2 was great as well. So many stories, but it wasn't too much to handle, the flow and pace was really nice. Again using Bed Bugs to push the story further along was a great idea. I was shocked that prison is planned to be closed. I assume Season3 will span over those 2 months.
Pornstache's mother appearing and Bennett's backstory was really well told. Love the Gwen Stefani Music video. SO FUNNY: I'm intrigued to see if he'll step up and adopt the baby himself.
I was glad the Alex-Piper wasn't dragged too long and them sexing it up was hot.

    Episode 3.
I was so happy we got Nicky's backstory, especially after the flashback with her mom in ep 1, but it was a bit underwhelming. The final scene with Nicky's mom was good a real reflection of her problems. The last 5 minutes really pulled it out, with Red, Pam and Lorna and Nicky continuing her path downwards.
Berdie Rogers is a great addition to the cast. Really like her interaction with all the inmates.
Jo Caputo fighting for the prison is neat, lets see how it'll play out.

Will come back and comment as I progress
