“Best Time Ever with Neil Patrick Harris” Begins Sept 15; #1 Reality Show “The Voice” and Hot New Drama “Blindspot” Premiere Sept. 21; “Heroes Reborn” Finds Its New Powers Sept. 24, the Same Day “The Player” Makes Its Debut; and “Chicago Med” Opens Up Its Doors Nov. 10

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. — June 22, 2015 — NBC has announced premiere dates for its fall schedule, which includes the return of the #1 broadcast program “Sunday Night Football,” the #1 reality series “The Voice,” new live series “Best Time Ever with Neil Patrick Harris,” new dramas “Blindspot,” “Heroes Reborn” and “Chicago Med,” and new comedy “People Are Talking.”

“Sunday Night Football” begins on Thursday, Sept. 10 when the Super Bowl champion New England Patriots host the Pittsburgh Steelers (8:30 p.m. ET/5:30 p.m. PT). Three days later on Sept. 13, “Sunday Night Football” travels to Dallas as the Cowboys play their NFC East rivals the New York Giants (8:20 p.m. ET/5:20 p.m. PT). The game will be preceded by the season premiere of “Football Night in America” (7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT).

The premiere of the new live alternative series “Best Time Ever with Neil Patrick Harris” will air Tuesday, Sept. 15 at 10 p.m. following the Tuesday season finale of “America’s Got Talent.” Based on the hugely popular U.K. show “Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway,” “Best Time Ever” will feature comedy sketches, musical numbers, mini game shows, hidden camera pranks on celebrities and appearances by A-list stars.

The Emmy Award-winning musical competition series “The Voice,” with coaches Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Pharrell Williams and Gwen Stefani, begins its ninth season Monday, Sept. 21 (8-10 p.m.).

“The Voice” will be followed by the heart-racing new Greg Berlanti-produced drama “Blindspot” (10-11 p.m.), which stars Jaimie Alexander as a beautiful Jane Doe who is discovered naked in Times Square, completely covered in mysterious, intricate tattoos with no memory of who she is or how she got there.

Wednesday, Sept. 23 marks the return of dramas “The Mysteries of Laura” (8-9 p.m.) and a special two-hour “Law & Order: SVU” (9-11 p.m.), which begins its 17thseason on NBC.

Two drama series premiere and the hit series “The Blacklist” return on Thursday, Sept. 24. The highly anticipated “Heroes Reborn” (8-9 p.m.), from creator Tim Kring, continues the superheroes saga that began with the 2006 breakout series. The third season of “The Blacklist, starring Emmy Award winner James Spader, returns to its 9 p.m. timeslot. “The Blacklist,” when including live-plus-7 data, was the most-watched drama on Thursdays last season.

“The Player” (10-11 p.m.), starring Wesley Snipes, is a Las Vegas-set action-packed thriller about a former military operative turned security expert who is drawn into a high-stakes game where an organization of wealthy individuals gamble on his ability to stop some of the biggest crimes imaginable from playing out.

From iconic Emmy Award-winning producer Dick Wolf, the third season of “Chicago P.D.” debuts Wednesday, Sept. 30 (10-11 p.m.).

Live episodes of “Undateable” will begin Friday, Oct. 9 with a special hourlong telecast (8-9 p.m.). NBC’s new comedy “People Are Talking,” about two diverse couples who analyze and obsess about everything, will launch a week later, Friday, Oct. 16 (8:30-9 p.m.). The fifth season of Friday night staple “Grimm” begins Oct. 30 (9-10 p.m.).

The fourth season of “Chicago Fire” debuts Tuesday, Oct. 13 and will air 10-11 p.m.

“Chicago Med,” the newest Windy City drama from Wolf, will make its series premiere Tuesday, Nov. 10 at 10 p.m. before shifting to 9 p.m. the following week.

  1. Can't wait for Chicago med

  2. Chicago Med is pretty late. What will they air in the 9 pm time slot until then? The Voice double episodes?

    ReplyDelete
  3. Blindspot 3 full months away from the premier. Don't worry gurl, I know Ur suffering cause I didn't saw the pilot but that will change.
Also Chicago Med is on my to do list and it's good that it comes later so I can get in my fall rhythm. Will be easier to add it to my watchlist.

  4. I am looking Forward to Blindspot

    ReplyDelete
  5. Wasn't Chicago Fire suppose to premiere in November? Not that I am complaining

    ReplyDelete
  6. Heroes reborn will be up against the scandal premiere

    ReplyDelete
  7. Scandal airs at 9 though, doesn't it?

    ReplyDelete
  8. What was the player again? It's going to crumble against HTGAWM on premiere night

    ReplyDelete
  9. 8 episodes ordered of Best Time Ever.

    ReplyDelete
  10. The Voice usually hits lows by time Nov comes around, why not launch Med earlier?
Why premiere PD a week later

    ReplyDelete
  11. Will Blindspot match a 3.5? ( TBL S2 premiere in that slot last year)

    ReplyDelete
  12. I doubt that, but you never know.

    ReplyDelete
  13. That's at 10 pm though. Med is at 9 pm and starts in November, so until then it's likely there will be two-hour editions of The Voice.

    ReplyDelete
  14. You're right. I apparently can't read, lol. As you were.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I don't think so either given TV is likely to further decline
    I think more like a 2.7

    ReplyDelete
  16. I don't think so. The Voice is not as strong now as it was back then. It might break a 3, but I wouldn't be surprised if it premieres in the mid to high 2s.

    ReplyDelete
  17. TV premiere 3.3-3.5
    Blindspot- 2.5-2.7

    ReplyDelete
  18. Blindspot is my only Monday show and I'm really looking forward to it.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Fox and the CW are the only one that has not released fall schedule yet....

    ReplyDelete
  20. It's really the only new network show I plan to watch.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I agree with that.

    ReplyDelete
  22. So excited that Chicago Fire is coming back in October instead of November.

    ReplyDelete
  23. When will it go fractional again? I say it premieres to about a 1.2 and in four/five episodes it goes fractional. If it's really lucky, it can avoic sub 1s.

    ReplyDelete
  24. It's an drams/action series around a security specialist in Vegas. It stars Wesley Snipes and Philip Winchester (Stonebridge from Strike Back)
I hope it's good because I love action and both PW and WS are good action stars.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Pretty soon lol.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I have a whole list I'm going to try but as far as Network TV, this one and The Player are my two main ones.

    ReplyDelete
  27. The Voice does amazing through the blind auditions but when it goes live, the numbers drop. I have never understood that.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Scripted Show Predictions

    Blindspot-2.6
    Chicago Fire- 2.2
    Chicago Med-2.1
    TMoL-1.1
    SVU-1.7
    PD-1.7
    Heroes- 2.0
    The Blacklist-1.9
    The Player- 1.6
    Grimm-1.3
    Undateable-1.2
    People are Talking-.9

    ReplyDelete
  29. Thanks! I like Snipes but never heard of the other guy lol

    ReplyDelete
  30. The Player looks horrible to me. I'll possibly give some other shows a chance, but they will probably be cancelled so what's the point.

    ReplyDelete
  31. True but every season declined further

    ReplyDelete
  32. Blindspot is the only NBC show I'll be watching.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Hannibal cancelled!!

    ReplyDelete
  34. I think these are pretty good indications of NBC's premiere ratings. I think Heroes might go a bit higher than a 2.0 (say mid 2s). You are also pretty optimistic for The Player, but I think it might do better than Allegiance (which had a 1.1 out of a 2.4 Blacklist). Other than that, People Are Talking seems ridiculously low, but maybe that won't be far from the truth.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Really? Amazon will save it

    ReplyDelete
  36. Yep, TVLine just posted it.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Well, don't make me break out Youtube! He's also been on Fringe, 24:LAD and Camelot. He's very good at action.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Oh yeah, as all shows do. I just don't get how they drop so much once they start the live shows.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Who was he on 24? Don't remember him

    ReplyDelete
  40. I like the premise and the stars so I'll give it at least 3 episodes and hope for the best.

    ReplyDelete
  41. What?! I'm not surprised but I am, if that makes sense. I didn't think they'd do it I guess.

  42. @TVMoJoe: NBC's @BestTimeEver with
@ActuallyNPH is getting a new timeslot: It will air Tuesdays at 10 on 9/15 & 9/22, then shift to 8 p.m. on 9/29

    ReplyDelete
  43. @TVMoJoe: #TheVoice Tuesday show will air from 9-11 p.m. on 9/29 and 10/16. It will then move to 9 p.m. Tuesdays on Oct. 13 as lead-in to #ChicagoFire

  44. He was Colonel Shaw, a political advisor for President Heller. He was in several episodes, not a lot.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Interesting. I don't think it will do better than The Voice though.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Oh ok I think I know who he is now but very minor role lol

    ReplyDelete
  47. CF & Med + The Blacklist. Cant wait!

    ReplyDelete
  48. I think the overall night will do better though since the voice will do better at 9 and it will be able to boost the Chicago show that follows it. And NPH is supposed to be family friendly so 8pm always made more sense imo,

    ReplyDelete
  49. Scandal is airing at 9 and Heroes at 8.

    ReplyDelete
  50. First two weeks:
The Voice + The Voice + NPH
Next 4 weeks: NPH + The Voice + Fire

Next week: NPH + The Voice + Med
Then on: The Voice + Med + Fire

    ReplyDelete
  51. Damn! That's a long wait for Chicago Med.I hope it's worth the wait.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I wasn't aware you watched the Chicago franchise as well. I think you beat me in the number of shows you watch ahah, which makes me happy actually!

    ReplyDelete
  53. I love Chicago Fire.I watched CPD for 10 episodes then gave up.
I watch more than 50 shows. No one watches that much television.Your number?

    ReplyDelete
  54. Me as well lol but we are sick, sick people

    ReplyDelete
  55. I have to think about these in greater detail, but on first look they sound reasonable! My adjustments would be SVU higher (it always goes up when there is no CBS procedurals on the horizon and it will go up against Survivor/Big Brother), Grimm a tad higher maybee, and probably Undateable a tad lower. I would also down the Player. And I would inch Heroes up.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Hahaha...We certainly are!

    ReplyDelete
  57. 40 is actually a very conservative estimate for me. I use podesign tv calendar (a MUST, I highly recommend it) and it currently says I watch way more than that lol. But be aware of my fan excuse bingo: 1) I watch a lot of comedies so those should count as half and 2) Some of this stuff are summer shows so they aren't all airing at the same time

    ReplyDelete
  58. Alright Heroes and Blindspot!

    ReplyDelete
  59. I use pogdesign, as well, and of the 523 shows they list I have 411 checked off. I love followmy.tv a lot, it tells you your "time wasted" and has basically every show ever. I love the rating and comments system. Pogdesign has most major ones in their calendar but not every single one I watch. But I like the calendar set up and the ability to 'check off' episodes as you watch. Only way I'm able to stay organized with my tv shows is with those two sites.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Heroes and The Blacklist agains Shondaland in the same day. That will be fun to watch the day after when the ratings come.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Oh great, Blindspot starts so soon and the Blacklist, too! I also watch Chicago PD, and will give Chicago Med a try :-)

    ReplyDelete
  62. First time since SVU.02 started that I'm not looking forward to a new season. S16 was just lousy, focused way too much time on the Benoah drama and with Amaro gone I just don't have high hopes for S17 which makes me super sad as SVU has been my #1 show for a couple of years now :(
