Sounds Interesing.
ReplyDeleteFirst to say STV first broke those news on Reign casting calls! Kudos to U guys.
ReplyDeleteINTERESTING ARROW CASTING CALL! A women connected to Moira with her daughters. My head is spinning. So could it be Sandra Hawks mom or Nyssa's mom?? Or Carol Ferris's mom?
Arrow: Are we supposed to know the daughter? We haven't even met the mother!
ReplyDeleteTeen Wolf: Awesome. I love Parrish.
Actually it says "daughter".
ReplyDeleteYeah I edited my comment after reading it again. Was a bit over excited and misread the paragraph. ^_^
ReplyDeleteWhat if .... Moira had a twin sister ( played by Susanna Thompson ) named Patricia aka Patty and they have been estranged for 6 / 8 years and she final returns to Starling City after learning of her sisters death.
ReplyDeleteI'm totally guessing that this new character on Arrow is the mother of Oliver's baby mama!! What was her name again?
ReplyDeleteSandra Hawke. She is one of my guesses for the daughter as well.
ReplyDeleteThey are casting the role, you get that.
ReplyDeleteAh yes, thank you!
ReplyDeleteYes. Doesn't' mean they can't/couldn't change things about the character if they heard a better idea. I for one would love to have Susanna back on the show as Moira's estranged twin Patty.
ReplyDeleteUr welcome.
ReplyDeleteFemale is her 50s - 60s, some of those actresses do not look like they are in their 50s-60s...
ReplyDeleteThat isn't a tiny change and with the script for 4x01 ready and the character story layed down I don't think they would do that. But here is to hoping, I love Suzana as well but don't see this happening.
ReplyDeleteAccording to the article the mother is a close friend to Moira, Oliver and Thea, and she is a peer to Moira. Sandra was a random girl that Moira didn't know and hired a PI to investigate her. Plus Moira offered her money to leave. So I don't think she's related to Sandra.
ReplyDeleteGood point, good point... In which case Hawkgirl would be my next guess since I heard they're going to be introducing the new characters from Legends of Tomorrow into the pre-existing shows... I guess we'll just have to wait and see!!
ReplyDeleteMe either ... but ... a fan of Arrow and Susanna a fan can hope.
ReplyDeleteActually it is not that big of a change. A family friend changes to a family member and they stop casting and rehire Susanna ... everything else about her running for mayor and having a daughter of her own ( Oliver and Thea's cousin ) stays the same.
I know ... but just wishful thinking as characters get changed around all the time.
ReplyDeleteMeg Foster is 67
Finola Hughes is 54
Elizabeth Mitchell is 45
Claudia Black is 42
Sarah Michelle Gellar is 38 ( she could play Patty's daughter to Meg Foster's mom )
I would like for them to be casting Moira's sister (Catherine Hicks would be the perfect casting), but recycling Susanna wouldn't feel right. At least not for me.
ReplyDeleteAlsp if they have really planned out the season and character interactions, every change would matter especially give the main characters 2 relatives.
If not Moira's twin then I would go with Fay ( JulijjjjParrish - V )
ReplyDeleteHow awesome would it be if 'Patty' was actually code for Melisande, her daughter was Talia, and the whole mayor/ Queen family friend thing is a fake casting call ?
ReplyDeleteI'd pick Meg ( Hera/Josephine ) Foster and Maggie ( Nikita ) Q for these roles.
A mayoral candidate?
ReplyDelete1.) Arrow has the worst luck of keeping their mayors alive.
2.) Will this series ever have Ollie run for mayor?

ReplyDeletehttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_City_(comics)
Maggie sawyer? She a batman character no way arrow would be able to get her as it likely Gotham will cast her in a future season
ReplyDeleteIn the link I posted it says Maggie was born in Star City and began her career there.
ReplyDeleteDo you thinks Aiden's comeback will be a just one episode thing (like it was part of a Lydia's hallucination of Banshee) or he's back for real?
ReplyDeleteShe's a Mayor she's gone-zo, all Mayors everywhere have died on TV shows LOL
ReplyDeleteThe former
ReplyDeleteI really like your idea. I would love to see Susanna Thompson back on the series.
ReplyDeleteThanks. Me too.
ReplyDeleteI like theory that they could be connected to Frank Chen from S1. He conspired with Moira to kill Malcolm. He was also part of the Undertaking and was friends with Moira & Robert. They also mentioned the daughter Angela, who was raped and almost killed in the Glades.
ReplyDeleteYou know I actually thought of that possibility. It would be a great parallel. Frank helped Malcolm destroy the Glades while his wife is willing to do anything to save the city. I like this theory a lot.
ReplyDeleteI know everybody first thought was a connection to baby Mama but for me it just doesnt make any sense because this casting call implies a closer relationship with Oliver/Thea. Also her own tragedy might be a reason why she didnt appear after Moiras death.
ReplyDeleteI didn't think she was related to baby mama at all. The description doesn't fit with what we know about her.
ReplyDeleteExactly. I think the comment about knowing the daughter before was what made people think connection to Baby Mama. And with MG saying no to Connor Hawke in S4 i wouldnt be surprised if there is a twist with Baby Mama.
ReplyDeleteMarc is very sneaky. He said before that Connor and Sandra won't be in season 4, then he just answered a question that the show will never address Connor Hawke. I'm thinking that won't be Oliver's son's name.
ReplyDeleteBut it said that she was a close friend to Moira and Oliver. I know the show abandoned realism but having immortals with past lives is a bit too much.
ReplyDeleteI mean have we ever heard the womans name? Because i cant remember? I think everybody just assumes its Sandra.
ReplyDeleteNo. They specifically never mentioned her name. Everyone just assumed because that's her name in the comic books.
ReplyDeleteI am actually expecting the kid to turn out a girl. It would be hilarious due to pre-island Oliver and his relationship with women.
ReplyDeleteOUCH! He treated women like dirt only to be a father to a little girl. That's some cruel karma. I don't want that. He's been through a lot. He's more than paid for what he did.
ReplyDeleteyeah but protective Oliver with his daughter would be amazing.
ReplyDeleteTrue, which is why the shipper in me wants him to have that girl with Felicity.
ReplyDeleteI would speculate the long term plan is for Oliver to eventually run for mayor as per comic canon. So I guess that's why they keep on bringing in "mayors" or mayoral candidates all the time.
ReplyDeleteI think having Ollie run might be the end game.. and the reason why the keep on killing mayors off the way they do.
ReplyDeleteInteresting theory. You think the end of the series will see Ollie doing good as both Green Arrow and as Oliver Queen as the mayor?
ReplyDeleteI think he might realise that vigilantism might not be the only way for him to make a difference and so he decides to run. And I think the show could very well end with him winning the election... and fade to black!
ReplyDeleteI love that idea for sure. I had always thought a great way to end Arrow would be to end after the five year flashbacks with Ollie leaving "Purgatory" in the flashbacks then Ollie dying in present day after sacrificing his life, to symbolize him finally moving on to the afterlife, but I do like your idea for sure. Him finally doing something good as Oliver Queen that we really haven't seen at all yet for three seasons.
ReplyDeleteI don't mean that Mayors just die here on Arrow, i actually mean in EVERY show i've seen, there hasn't been a Mayor that has lived on any show i've seen.
