Thanks to everyone who sent this in.
From creator/executive producer Tim Kring, who imagined NBC's original critically-acclaimed 2006 "Heroes" series, comes "Heroes Reborn," an epic 13-episode event series that chronicles the lives of ordinary people who discover they possess extraordinary abilities.
A year ago, a terrorist attack in Odessa, Texas, left the city decimated. Blamed for the tragic event, those with extraordinary abilities are in hiding or on the run from those with nefarious motives.
Two such vigilantes include Luke (Zachary Levi, "Chuck") and Joanne (Judith Shekoni, "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2"), who are seeking to avenge a tragic loss.
Noah Bennet, aka H.R.G. (Jack Coleman, "Heroes"), has gone off the grid but conspiracy theorist Quentin Frady (Henry Zebrowski, "A to Z") finds him and opens his eyes to the truth behind the Odessa tragedy.
While in hiding, some are discovering their newfound skills. Awkward teen Tommy (Robbie Kay, "Once Upon a Time") just wants to be normal and win the girl of his dreams, Emily (Gatlin Green, "Criminal Minds"), but normalcy is virtually impossible after learning of a new ability that terrifies him. Coming from a very sheltered upbringing, a bold and ethereal teenager, Malina (Danika Yarosh, "Shameless"), has been told she is destined for greatness. In Tokyo, a quiet and unique young woman, Miko (Kiki Sukezane, "Death Yankee 3"), is trying to track down her missing father while hiding an extraordinary secret that will make her a force to be reckoned with. Elsewhere, a different type of hero is emerging through former soldier Carlos (Ryan Guzman, "The Boy Next Door").
Meanwhile, Erica (Rya Kihlstedt, "Masters of Sex"), the head of the highly successful tech conglomerate Renautas, has an agenda of her own.
For better or for worse, some are fated to cross paths with assorted heroes of the past, including Hiro Nakamura (Masi Oka), Matt Parkman (Greg Grunberg), Mohinder Suresh (Sendhil Ramamurthy) and the Haitian (Jimmy Jean-Louis), among others. Yet, together, their ultimate destiny is nothing less than saving the world and mankind.
Joining Kring are executive producers James Middleton ("Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles") and Peter Elkoff ("Sons of Anarchy"). "Heroes Reborn" is produced by Imperative Entertainment, in association with Universal Television.

Nice !!!
ReplyDeleteNiceeeeeee, finally a damn trailer. NBC sure took their sweet time. This didn't reveal much (or anything at all lol) about the story, but left me excited enough. I am very much looking forward. And please gods of television, make it so that the only Hiro we see is the awesome future Hiro and not the annoying present day Hiro, pleeease
ReplyDeleteThx for uploading a region free version.
ReplyDeleteLooks really good and intense! I like the cast so I'll give it a chance.
Looks good but after S3-4 I don't know if people really want it back
ReplyDeleteHiro alone could be enough to drive me away from this, I really hope it's good.
ReplyDeleteCan I watch this without watching the original series?
ReplyDeleteFINALLY!
ReplyDeleteI asked myself the same thing. I watched a bunch of eps from the Original but without connection, out of order etc. I'll give it a try and see if I can follow.
ReplyDeleteCool! Looks like that teaser fit right in! Surprising!
ReplyDeleteNow THIS is what i'm talking about!!! Hell yeah!! Seeing HRG with the gun made me GAH! And Hiro looks the shit!! He looks so badass! You can tell shit has happened to him! And damn Ryan is one sexy man.
ReplyDeleteNo. I think it's very important that you watch it.
ReplyDeleteIt's a continuation so no
ReplyDeleteYou should watch the series. It's imperative that you do.
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed we only get the badass future Hiro and not the present day Hiro.
ReplyDeleteAwesome. Let's hope that the series lives up to this
ReplyDeleteSeries synopsis added above. Please refresh.
ReplyDeleteThe synopsis has even more of an epic feel than the trailer, at least to me. I am pumped now, bring it on.
ReplyDeleteOMG! IT'S GONNA BE F*CKING AWESOME! :D
ReplyDeleteHIROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I hope this is as good as it looks
ReplyDeleteIs that Hiro in the end, OMG if he is he looks so different and badass.
ReplyDeleteGreat trailer, I am watching this for sure.
ReplyDeleteDamn, I am sop excited. And that original theme at the ends gets me so nostalgic. Hope this is good and can get multiple seasons.
ReplyDelete"Yet, together, their ultimate destiny is nothing less than saving the world and mankind."
ReplyDeleteThat made me think of, "Save the cheerleader, Save the world." Gah!!! This is gonna be so awesome, i'm so excited. The closer we get the more i'm just...wow! It's coming back this is great. Sigh, i want Quinto to make an appearance sooooo badly.
Same here!! I watched it three times! I've got this big cheesy grin on my face. = D
ReplyDeleteYup, that's Hiro.
ReplyDeleteHoly shit, this might actually be as good as the original S1!! I'm stoked!
ReplyDeleteOkay, I am glad that we got some footage, but I wish they had released the promo the showed at the upfronts, which is longer and also has scene with Micah.
ReplyDeleteSame here, lol
ReplyDeleteI'm sure we'll see a little more from SDCC!
ReplyDeletelol nice!
ReplyDeleteI don't remember there being much of future Hiro but then again I wasn't paying attention for bits of season 2 and most of season 3 and haven't even seen the majority of season 4 :P I just remember getting annoyed every time he had a scene cos I'd have to actually look at the screen and pay attention to see the subtitles lol, I still wasn't fond of the character though. The promo didn't give much away so I still I've no idea what to expect.
ReplyDeleteNo matter what, it will always be "Save the cheerleader, save the world."
ReplyDeleteRead the synopsis, the tells us a bit more about the show.
ReplyDeleteWe'll get it soon. And i'm sooo looking for Micah. It's gonna be so weird to hear his voice (that's if he'll have lines in the promo) surpassed puberity and all that. oh god! Anyone else feel old with the thought of that? lol
ReplyDeleteI hope you were able to catch up?
ReplyDeleteI want Quinto, Milo and Ali, but sadly we won't be getting them.
ReplyDeleteLooks and sounds awesome. Can't wait to see the new additions and the old heroes!
ReplyDeleteI know. I always intended. But currently Nip/Tuck in on my to do list. I watched a lot of episodes but never in continuity.
ReplyDeleteI will try to check Heroes out. I watched a bunch of episodes but also out of order and never from begging till end and it only has 4 seasons. Nothing a sleepless week can't do.
Finally.It's about time!
ReplyDeleteFor Ali it would be impossible for her to come back. Milo, i believe he's put it behind him. Quinto, otoh, I definitely think he'd make some type of appearance. I have hope for that.
ReplyDeleteLooks like the sword wielding cheerleader can save herself, lol
ReplyDeleteYou could but i wouldn't recommend it. They introduced new characters throughout the seasons and new storylines with the characters, so it would be a difficult to follow.especially if they do plan on a continuation. That being said i doubt they will pick up where they left off because by that time the show sucked big time.Canceled and rightly so..
ReplyDeleteI have but things can translate very differently from paper to screen.
ReplyDeleteAlways!
ReplyDeleteI saw Micah last year in some show and couldn't believe how mature and grown he's become!
ReplyDeleteI would like to see original Hiro. I liked him very much. Not every character has to be "badass" in the common sense. Original Hiro was brave and badass in his own way. I like such characters maybe even more then strait out badass ones.
ReplyDeleteCannot Wait!!! Finally a trailer! I've watched it 10 times now! SO EXCITED!!!
ReplyDeleteThat kid is so talented. It bothered me that he took a very long break from entertainment. But he did what he had to do and i'm glad he's back. I've seen his pictures of him being "all growed up" (I say in my Chuckie Finster voice). I remember saying, awwwwwwwww look at him!!! Now i just need to see him perform after all these years. I bet he's still got it.
ReplyDeleteGo take down that time-slot, Heroes! Having Blacklist on right after is going to be a pretty big win-win for NBC.
ReplyDeleteLooks amazing... so excited for this show :D
ReplyDeletelove your Captain Caveman icon....where's son?? Tisk tisk. = p
ReplyDeleteThey are saving that for Comic Con I bet.
ReplyDeleteIt is likely Kick Ass and they don't want to waste it now and then everyone at Comic Con has already seen it before they even attend. They want to show it at SDCC and blow the fans minds then milk all the free press right to big ratings.
Hold on we have waited this long only 18 more days and we will have it.
id say maybe season 1 because the rest should be forgotten.
ReplyDeletethey would be stupid to tie this to the previous incarnations stories because I doubt most people would sit through post season 1 again.
ReplyDeleteIt will be F*KING AWESOME!!!
ReplyDeleteFirst I thought it is future Hiro.. :D but not, it is present-Hiro
ReplyDeleteI will certainly give it a try and google the stuff I don't understand. ^_^
ReplyDeleteJust so my Thursdays would get a bit busier.
For People asking I think if anything you guys should watch Season 1 at least. Season 1 was great then it all went downhill after the whole Writer's Strike, Its up to you but Season 1 is a must to watch the other seasons is up for you to watch. This trailer is great and it has me looking forward to the new season hopefully it can recapture that Season 1 feel.
ReplyDeleteThat heroes theme is glorious!
ReplyDeleteI say it shouldn't matter. I've already watched the series when it originally aired. I know what went down. This is a continuation of the series, those who have NOT watched the series, need to watch it. And not just after season 1. A lot went on in the series with the characters, with all the SL, and i've no doubt that with this series, they won't bring up half if not more of what went on in the series. It doesn't matter if it's "to be forgotten," those who have not watched the series, need to make their own interpretation of it. They can't "forget" (or have the option of forgetting) something they've never seen. It would be incredibly stupid for those to watch this series, and never actually watched the series from whih this series is continuing from. They'd be so lost. And i think this "dark future" we're getting will take place because of the events in season 4, and the events before it. So with that said...those who haven't watched it, NEED to watch, and they need to make their own interpretation of the show, before this series starts.
ReplyDeleteAgree to disagree then ;)
ReplyDeleteYes please do, watch from beginning to end, and make up your own mind about the series. All the seasons are important and if you're going to start this series, it's best you know everything that came before it, since this is a continuation. There's no sense going half way, you'd be lost. It's like starting a new book, reading page 1, skipping to the last page, and saying, "ok i'm done, time for the second book in the series." umm no, read the whole book. But you have time, so continue on with Nip/Tuck..and wasn't i the one who told you of Nip/Tuck?? Pretty sure i did, no?
ReplyDeleteThis looks promising, I just hope it delivers. After seeing S3 (and the S4 finale) I need to believe that this show can go back to the great first season and even improve on it. This promo is the first step, now we need for the show to deliver a great season and we are all set
ReplyDeleteSure.:-) I just wanted to show some love for original Hiro after your dismissal of him.;-)
ReplyDeleteI understand why people would like him, he was just not my cup of tea! But I am glad you did. I think one of the best things about the original Heroes was actually the diversity of characters they had, everyone could find someone that they liked
ReplyDeleteI totally agree about the diversity of the original Heroes' characters (and cast). I hope Heroes Reborn will be similar in that regard.
ReplyDeleteFuture Hiro appeared a bit in season 1 actually l dont remember him much after too
ReplyDeleteI would say. They wouldn't bring back the series if they were just targeting fans of the original series, they want to bring in new people too, like yourself, who may not have the time to catch up and watch all of the prior. All important stuff from the original series will most likely be explained. Though just for sheer entertainment, watch the original episodes :)
ReplyDeleteYes. Otherwise this series is already dead.
ReplyDeleteYay. Finally something that makes me sure that I'll atleast stick through the 13 episodes.
ReplyDeleteok promo and interesting synopsis.... but will definitely be on a "sample and see" basis for me
ReplyDeleteBetter not be i want a longer one, this still felt like a teaser honestly.
ReplyDeleteAWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HRG, HIRO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Even if i hate Hiro that still looks awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A tragedy in Odessa, Claire's town, what the hell happened?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteConsidering we're in a Dark Future it seems very likely that it WILL be Future Hiro which now it's Present Day Hiro LOL. Do you think the show is set in 2015? It doesn't like like it's the net century or something.
ReplyDeleteHang tight.
ReplyDeleteComic Con is coming July 9th - 12th. We will all have seen it by Monday July 13th.
I haven't watched the first series but this promo looks awesome. Can I jump in without watching the first Heroes?
ReplyDeleteThe only that's saving it it's that it's Future Hiro who is actually a badass. Also it seems like as much Dark Futures the Heroes stopped before they were always destined to lose and live in a Dark Future. I mean look at Hiro, he's not the "YATA!" saying, glasses wearing idiot, he's the time-traveling badass we'd seen in every Dark Futute, it seems like the show lives in a hopeless world and i'm sad about that.
ReplyDeleteAre you positive it's an ACTUAL trailer with the cast talking and giving us a story instead of clips of random characters?
ReplyDeleteIf there was no original cast in it, it'd certainly be easier. But the crux is the world found out about them from a STUPID mistake one of the original Heroes made and now thy're living in a Dark Future.
ReplyDeleteHe'd been in every Dark Future episode remember?
ReplyDeleteLOL, even i can admit that is one good-looking male
ReplyDeleteI don't know anything about it but what has been posted here by those who saw it at the Upfronts.
ReplyDeleteIt's like hearing the Terminator theme. Eve if they ruined the story with that IDIOTIC twist by turning John Connor is the villain of the story.
ReplyDeleteCool
ReplyDeleteSame here, especially since it's Future Hiro though technically now it's Present Day Hiro LOL
ReplyDeletehttp://www.spoilertv.com/2015/05/latest-from-nbc-upfronts-presentation.html
ReplyDeleteOverall, the main takeaway from the trailer is how dark it is. We quickly get the idea that after the reveal of super powered people at the end of the fourth and final season of the original series, things went sour very quickly for them. Referred to several times as “EVOs”, it seems they were met with fear and hostility, and one character declares, “They’re all gone. They're hiding or dead.”
We see imagery of several of the characters from the original series (who are not returning, as far as we know, to Heroes Reborn), including case files for some of them and more direct, ominous images for others – including a picture of Mohinder marked “EVO Terrorist” and a picture of Claire Bennet included on a memorial, seemingly indicating that she was killed at some point.
Thanks for the explanation. Season 1 is on Netflix, maybe if I have time I'll check at least that.
ReplyDeleteI remember that now, but i hope it's a longer one.
ReplyDeleteThose Comic Con trailers are normally like 4 or 5 or 6 minutes long.
ReplyDeleteWow, that's all you remember? LOL that was his first appearance on the show, the rest were when Future Peter blew up New York and when Sylar took on Nathan's face after he died. Heroes always win, it's the way it's supposed to be, even The 100 has heroes: Clarke, Bellamy, FINN was a HERO, he never lost his innocence and he sacrificed himself for it!!! GOD I MISS HIM!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWell let's hope so! LOL
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome, Season 1 shows most of the characters you'll see here, and it also has Dark Future episode so you'll get the feel of what this season will be like.
ReplyDeleteLol I don't remember any of that :/ I really just stopped paying attention! I don't consider anyone on The 100 a hero or a villain, it's one of the main reasons I love it.
ReplyDeletemore than likely as this appears to be pretty different from the original..all you need to know is that people have abilities..some use them for good and some for bad..that was the main premise of the first..now your caught up :)..enjoy
ReplyDeleteI've been waiting so long for this..Heroes was one of my all time favorite shows when it was released..I even stuck with them during the seasons where the writing was lets say, all over the place..love this show and if its anything like the first it will be pretty decent...
ReplyDeleteLOL! You're right! future Hiro is now present present Hiro! I wonder is we'll get another future Hiro? or if he'll be the gloomy one we met or just an older version of his annoying self?
ReplyDeleteYou can say, it was crap on toast LOL
ReplyDeletehahaha, even I admit it wasnt the best(by far)...but I stayed true
ReplyDeleteWell it could still be set in 2015 but a different 2015. Like, it is possible that with the heroes becoming public the world changed a lot during the last few years up to a point in which our 2015 isn't the same as the one on the show, do you know what I mean?
ReplyDeleteMe too!
ReplyDeleteSave the Thursday, Save the Season
ReplyDeleteomg this looks freaking awesomeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
ReplyDeleteIf i'm wrong then cool but fr now that scene with Future Hiro looks a used footage from the original show. It looks like the train Future Hiro first came to Peter so the just pulled a fast one on us except obviously for the new viewers so still no new footage of Future Hiro.
ReplyDeleteWell, this actually looks quite interesting!
ReplyDeleteWhy would it be impossible for Ali to come back? Personal reasons or is she like Milo and Hayden in just not wanting to come back?
ReplyDeleteI REALLY looked at the scene and i'm ALMOST positive that it's re-used footage from the Heroes pilot, of when Future Hiro went to tell Peter to save Claire "You look different without the scar" and he gave the famous line "Save the Cheerleader, Save the World". So they actually pulled a fast one on the Heroes watchers alums, the new watchers who see the promo would never be the wiser because it's new to them.
ReplyDeleteIt is reused from S1 (though not the pilot, the scene you mention isn't from that episode). However, they are not trying to 'pull a fast one'. Masi Oka has only just started filming this past week or so, but Hiro is in the thing so they wanted him in the promo - so they used old footage. The fact that they chose future Hiro can't be a coincidence though, so it seems reasonable to suggest that that's the version of the character we will see in Reborn.
ReplyDeleteYes, I still love it.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah i just remember that it's not from the pilot, yeah it's already been confirmed that the Hiro we're going to see is Future Hiro.
ReplyDeleteI think so. It's supposed to attract new viewers I guess. Otherwise people would turn off the TV pretty fast because they don't understand a single thing that is going on. The only problem I see is, when the old characters return you don't really know their history. It's the question what role they are playing in the new show.
ReplyDeleteNo, it hasn't been confirmed at all. It was merely mentioned by those who saw the upfronts trailer that it was future Hiro who appeared (as he does in this promo) - but there's been no official confirmation. However, as I said, it seems reasonable to suggest that it WILL be future Hiro, given that they chose to show that version in the promo(s).
ReplyDeleteIt wont be difficult to follow, we'll just get certain references here and there than newcomers wouldn't. They want this be accessible to everyone though. They're well aware that a lot of people didn't stick with it. But I would definitely watch the first season at least.
ReplyDeleteIt looks good... I'll 100% give it that... but knowing this show, I think I might setting myself up for disappointment...
ReplyDeleteThe first season was excellent! And as i said he could but i think going into this show without knowing the characters and their backstory would be a shame. I couldn't imagine seeing Hiro,Noah and Mohinder with fresh eyes, not knowing anything about them and what experiences they went through.I think knowing these characters past adds a richness that for many will be lacking,,,,,,
ReplyDeleteSave the cheerleader. save the world!
Considering how the show got irreparably damaged, coming at this with fresh eyes is the greatest gift ever.
ReplyDeleteI'm going with real-time time-jump so it's been 5 years since Claire exposed the evolved humans, so it's conceivable that Hiro's changed into that Warrior Hiro we always saw in the Dark Future episodes they had right?
ReplyDeleteAhah! "greatest gift ever" that's true!
ReplyDelete
