Southland star Shawn Hatosy has booked a recurring role on AMC’s The Walking Dead companion series, Fear The Walking Dead, which has a two-season pickup. Set in Los Angeles (and shot in Vancouver and LA), Fear The Walking Dead focuses on new characters and storylines. Hatosy, repped by Paradigm and MGMT Entertainment, will play a well-intentioned but out of his element military man with a soulful disposition. He recently nabbed a Critics’ Choice Award nomination for his role in Southland and also had a lead role in CBS pilot For Justice. His film credits include John Q, Alpha Dogs, Anywhere But Here, The Faculty, In And Out, The Cooler, and Outside Providence, among others. He recently starred in Neil Labute’s Reasons To Be Pretty at the Geffen Playhouse

The cast is becoming huge, i can see many deaths in S1
ReplyDeleteRecurring as in he won't survive for long. We know how it goes in the Walking Dead universe.
ReplyDeleteThat being said, Shawn Hatosy was amazing in Southland and is extremely underrated as an actor. Some network needs to cast him as a lead.
Agreed. And that's not a bad thing. A concept like this probably works best with an almost new cast each season. That way, the concept won't get old.
ReplyDeleteNot really. Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride were both only recurring actors in Season 1 of The Walking Dead, and yet they managed to live past 90% of the original cast.
