I think defiance is making the same mistakes as shows such as Revolution. Killing off to many main characters to quickly as they did with the McCawley family. Introducing 2 threats at the same time creating chaotic story lines to follow. Trying to shove to much into each episode instead of concentrating on continuity. Unless this season begins to tie the story lines together soon I see the show losing viewers rapidly.
I don't think it's a mistake killing off the McCrawley family. We don't know if there are two threats, we know of one. We have the VC and the Omaks, we know the VC are cruel and unforgiving however we only know about the Omaks from old tales. I think ultimately the Omaks will need to feed once they wake up but they'll feed on the VC solving the problem of the VC. The Omaks don't seem to be all evil as they've been made out the only thing constant in their history is that they have a mass feeding.
Considering how much the ratings have dropped and the most of comments on social media, you are in the minority. Defiance will be on the bubble at the end of this season unless something drastic happens to bring back viewers.
When you say social media, are you talking about facebook...The ratings dropped last year and the reason for it was the poor story telling. I did not enjoy season 2 as much as the first and the third season has started off strongly and is so far continuing.
Social media as in public forums, blogs, the gaming community as well as FB and twitter. The ratings have consistently dropped since the first episode in the first season.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
That's not a sneak peek for episode 5, it's for episode 4....
ReplyDeleteAh sorry about that. Syfy must have mislabeled it
ReplyDeleteNp, you got me excited for a moment there. lol
