What about Reign/JTV?
ReplyDeleteLoT 16? and The100 13! I wanted more eps for The100. First they make us wait so long and now this!
ReplyDeleteEverything else is pretty much the ordinary.
Wanted 16 for 100. It worked so well this year. They were able to tell a much grander story.
ReplyDeleteCan iZombie and crazy ex get a back 9 order
ReplyDeleteI thought Izombie would get 22 episodes because it's a Pocedural way to pull a fast one on me CW.
ReplyDeleteWe don't know their counts yet.
ReplyDeleteWhat about reign???
ReplyDeleteI prefer this to a bunch of filler episodes because 22 episode seasons are filled with them.
ReplyDeleteI agree but 16 would be perfect again.
ReplyDeleteNoo I wanted more for The 100! 16 was great last year!
ReplyDeleteWhoa so now LoT has 16 episodes, cool. I still want a 23-episode season but still
ReplyDeleteWhen did a midseason show get a full season on CW or any network for that matter?
ReplyDeleteI'm even surprised that we are getting 16 and not 13.
It hasn't premiered yet but the 5th season of New Girl is meant to be a full season and it starts midseason (January).
ReplyDeleteThey've mentioned it could still get a back 9 order. I doubt it though due to space.
ReplyDeleteOkay NG it has 4 seasons under its belt but LoT is a freshman show.
ReplyDeleteThey need to dump Crazy Ex Girlfriend, up The 100 to a full 23 eps and iZombie to a full 23 eps. And they might as well knock Vampire Diaries down to 13 eps or less.
ReplyDeleteThis isn't particularly surprising. The most episodes going to the biggest hits - Arrow, The Flash and the crazy enduring Supernatural (although I'm not sure why the extra episode, really) - and LoT getting a longer mid-season order; the stable-but-lower shows (iZombie, The 100) getting the 13 episode order; The Originals getting a full season so they get to syndication the next season; and the riskier choice of the fall, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, only getting a 13 episode order. All of it is pretty logical, and nothing really stands out as a shock. We'll see what they do with JtV and Reign, but overall, nothing huge here.
ReplyDeleteI wish The 100 had gotten a bigger episode order, because the closer we get to syndication the better the chances are for the show to keep going (although I don't suppose 45 would be a huge improvement over 42), but it does keep the chances of the show dropping in the ratings a little more contained, and is probably a better deal quality-wise. I'll take whatever I can get at this point.
I can't see Reign or Crazy Ex-Girlfriend doing well at all so I think they'd both be gone by mid season (possibly Reign coming back in the Summer like BatB Season 2).
ReplyDeleteI think that leaves enough space to up iZombie to a full season and maybe pair it on Fridays with The 100. It would be risky but I think they're the two who'd have the best chance of carrying a Friday. Then they might shift some stuff around Mid Season to fit Containment and LoT in.
So izombie is limited? Looks like it.
ReplyDeleteDamn! 13 for The 100 feels a bit short :/, 16 was perfect
What about Jane, Reign and BATB ? When will we know about them ?
ReplyDeleteSame here, 16 felt amazing
ReplyDeleteBatb is almost sure to get another 13
ReplyDeleteThey've mentioned that iZombie S2 has an option for a back 9. I doubt it'll get it though due to schedule space.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.spoilertv.com/2015/06/izombie-season-finale-post-mortems-on.html
The extra episode for Supernatural is probably due to syndication. They already have multiple syndication deals in the US, Canada and other countries. So the more episodes they can squeeze out, the more they can get back from those deals (even if its just 1 extra episode a season, it all adds up).
ReplyDeleteAccording to Rob Thomas, iZombie actually does have an option for a possible back 9.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.spoilertv.com/2015/06/izombie-season-finale-post-mortems-on.html
Is it a full order of 22 or 13 with a possible back 9?
13 with a possible back 9.
I hope they aren't going to rush through their storylines. Don't get me wrong, I liked season 2's pace, but some storylines and characters didn't get the attention they deserved imo. Chances of that happening again with a 13-episode season 3 are high.
ReplyDeleteMy thought exactly though it still could get a back 9 and just be moved to a different time slot.
ReplyDeleteThese episode counts are perfect.
ReplyDeleteLoving that The Originals and The Vampire Diaries, Arrow, The Flash, and Supernatural got 23, Legends got 16, and iZombie, The 100, Containment, and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend got 13.
Only Reign, Jane the Virgin, and Beauty and the Beast to go.
The Originals and Vampire Diaries got 22 not 23.
ReplyDeleteMakes sense. Reign's episode count wont really affect anything as its on Friday and they can basically move it to summer if they need to free up space as its ratings are so low anyway it is unlikly to be affected. iZombie and T100 of Friday at mid season would work leaving Tuesday 9pm for Legends and msot likely Monday 8pm for Containment.
ReplyDeleteFigures its 2 best shows only have 13 eps each. I wanted The 100 to have 16 again and iZombie with 16 would be great as well, don't need a full 22 .
ReplyDeleteSo the episode order is officially.......would be nice to get casting news next....
ReplyDeleteI know. Typo. Thanks for the correction.
ReplyDeleteAny idea when you'll know Reign/JtV/BatB's episode count Dark ?
ReplyDeleteKinda sad about The 100 getting only 13 episodes. We have to wait almost a year for season 3 and the reduce the episode order as well?
ReplyDeleteThere is no way this can happen unless the CW pushes back the premieres of Legends of Tomorrow, The 100, or Containment ... and ... that's not going to happen.
ReplyDeleteOnly way it might work is if either Reign gets 13/16 episodes and iZombie moves to Friday's for the final nine or iZombie will take a 13 week break and then the back nine episodes will run over the summer.
With such a huge cast and new recurring characters bound to appear it will be a really tight thing development wise.
ReplyDeleteBut I have faith in the writers to do a great season again and the cancellation Bear to feed on someone else.
Yeah, I think so too. But I trust the writers as well. I really hope we can get a fourth season and maybe more.
ReplyDeleteSupernatural - 23 episodes
ReplyDeleteThe show probably makes too much money for the network to order less episodes. It's likely that they think "Why change the format that's been working?" despite the ratings dropping last season.
In my opinion, they need a new approach to writing the show. They can't hit the balance between monster-of-the-week stories and mytharc episodes like they did before Thus, I think they should start carrying the mytharc forward in every episode. Not make it as serialized as LOST was but they should still have a clear story throughout the whole season.
The show should still have monster-of-the-week episodes because they are very much liked by the fans and from what I understand, desirable to the network. But moving towards a more serialized format could allow the story to be tighter and more engaging to the viewers.
It's already been said that the fans are very loyal to Supernatural so I think they could handle the main story not taking breaks during the season and they would actually welcome the show having no "filler" episodes.
I am really sad that iZombie did not get full order
ReplyDelete13 episodes for The 100 is enough, but i would prefer 16 again
I was really hoping TVD would get final 13 episodes season but that's not happening.
I am also very happy LoT got 16 episodes, it will probably start in January and we won't have to wait until March or so
I think it's likely that both Reign and JTV will have shorter episode orders of 13~ episodes which makes everything fit. They haven't mentioned anything about CEG having a back 9 option yet either.
ReplyDeleteJTV will still be eligible for all the awards since it airs during Fall.
Reign will have 57+ episodes and just need a final short set to reach syndication numbers (on the lower end).
Then we could get something like this for midseason:
Monday:
Containment
Supernatural
Tuesday:
The Flash
iZombie OR Legends Of Tomorrow
Wednesday:
Arrow
iZombie OR Legends Of Tomorrow
Thursday:
The Vampire Diaries
The Originals
Friday:
The 100
Probably. Nearly every new fall show has the option of a back 9 order, exept for shows that have already been announced as having a limited run. I don't think Crazy Ex-Girlfriend has been announced as limited. iZombie is like Scandal, the first season airs at midseason and the second in the fall with an initial 13-episode order that could be expanded to 22.
ReplyDeleteit is 13 - confirmed
ReplyDeletebatb confirmed already as 13
ReplyDeleteSorry for your disappointment in the number of shows ordered for iZombie. Your favorite I guess, going by your user name. Not a good sign for that show. But then, we can't always get what we want.
ReplyDeleteI'm also sorry you found it necessary to wish that TVD would have a "final 13 episodes season". Of course, you're entitled to your opinion. But I am getting what I want: TVD will have a 22 episode season, as it should IMHO. I had no doubt that it would but having it made "official" is a really nice birthday present for me. And if they do this season right there will be a Season 8 too.
Damn, 16 was so perfect for The 100. I guess I can live with 13 though.
ReplyDeleteYes Marc said that but I really don't know how they think to pull that off, especially with them putting the show on this hellatus. I wouldn't be opposed towards summer if the show didn't ended so early this season(15 months waiting is way to much). During summer the expectations are lower and with the loyla fanbase and less competition The100 could maybe even score better.
ReplyDelete"...knock Vampire Diaries down to 13 eps or less." Ouch, that wasn't nice.
ReplyDeleteOh wait, I forgot. You always say things like that about TVD. Sorry, it's on to a full Season 7 and if they play their cards right, a Season 8.
I feel bad for finishing the 100 now. If I knew S3 would have gotten 13 episodes I wouldn't have watched it. I love it don't get me wrong but shorted order is one step toward cancellation. I hate watching stuff open ended. Thanks CW ./. I doubt there'll be no cliffhanger.
ReplyDeleteThese days, 10-16 episodes is the new normal and I like it. It keeps the shows tight and fast paced.
ReplyDeleteIf they really want it to break out like Breaking Bad did they need to put S2 on Netflix ASAP and they should promote it a hell of a lot. Its really the best way a show can gain momentum these days.
ReplyDeleteSo Reign is supposed to air on Fridays in summer or what?
ReplyDeleteSee here
ReplyDeletehttp://www.spoilertv.com/2015/05/the-spoilertv-primetime-201516-full.html
LOL is right. TVD forever! Well, not forever. Even I wouldn't ask for that. The younger cast - all three of them - still look pretty much like college age to me. But my darling Ian needs Botox (which I doubt he'd get because he's so into natural living) and I'm sure Paul knows he doesn't look 17 by any stretch of the imagination. LOL But still, who cares? They still look good to me! So a Season 8 would be nice.
ReplyDeleteIt would have been really awesome if The 100 got 16 eps again but I'll take what I can get. It's bad enough that The CW has pushed it to midseason. And I would have loved 22 eps for iZombie since I just can't get enough of it but I'm fine with 13.
ReplyDeleteAh. That makes sense. I was wondering - I mean, it's doing well by CW standards, but there didn't seem to be a reason to produce an extra episode when it's hitting a more .6-.7 stride. Thanks for clarifying.
ReplyDeletehope you are right.
ReplyDeleteI am happy for you. Season 6 was big improvement over that catastrophic Season 5 so if they won't slip back to the Season 5 quality, i am fine with it getting more episodes. I hope the show will get more interesting now that Elena's gone, i just hope they won't be mentioning her and crying over her i every single episode
ReplyDeleteJane?
ReplyDeleteNo idea, sorry. As soon as we do we post them.
ReplyDeleteRight? I knew TVD would get a full season, why wouldn't they?? Smh
ReplyDeleteCalling it. Crazy won't even make it to episode 13 before announcing cancellation. Lol.
ReplyDeleteKnew TVD would get a full season. Duh. As for SPN...it better be a GOOD 23 episodes, gawddd.
I know it was supposed to air in fall, but they didn't announce its episode order, so I thought they've moved it.
ReplyDeleteIf they hold on the quality of Season 6(Still waiting for those Heretics casting),why not Season 8?I'm sure they'll get one-whether shortened or full, that depends on Season 7 rating.
ReplyDeleteExactly. Many of them said LoT will replace TVD in Jan.Ridiculous!
ReplyDeleteI thought one of the crew said they got a full season order of 22 episodes.I heard it the other day on TVBTN.I just need to find which crew member said it.
ReplyDeleteRolls eyes.
ReplyDeleteHey, will you be checking out Damien? I think I'm adding that to my list. I didn't realize at first that it'd be based on the movies, or a continuation of the movies? I'm not sure, I've only seen one promo for it, but I said, Hell yeah! Lol
ReplyDeleteThat's not my type of show at all.
ReplyDeleteWith the 100, since it's very serialised, a lower episode count is better so there's no filler and a rich story. That being said, i hope they have enough episodes to tell the whole story
ReplyDeleteYou never know! From watching the trailers and stuff, I kind of like Crazy Ex lol. The musical parts is ehhh but I hear there won't be too much of it. Imo, CW needs lighter stuff along with Jane. There's too much superhero/supernatural/doom&gloom.
ReplyDeleteJeremy Carver isn't a good enough storyteller to think up a mytharc that can be carried a full season. He can barely sustain a mytharc that covers half a season lol
ReplyDeleteSeason 2 will be on netflix this September. That's at least 4 months before season 3 appears. Hopefully it's enough
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed JTV gets 22 eps again!
ReplyDeleteI'm not going to be surprised if the 3 mid-season shows out perform a few fall shows, even if it's closer to Spring.
ReplyDeleteAndrew Krisberg (EP) said they were doing 13 at first. Then Victor Gaber said 15, now we're at 16. Who knows, maybe it can rise.
ReplyDeleteIt needs to be summer IMO, summer is a time that people catch up on shows.
ReplyDeleteIt is probably some stupid licensing reason, like they can't add it to a streaming service until x months after its aired. I mean it is on Netflix Canada already. I was surprised but happy that AOS S2 hit Netflix last week. Now is the time for people to catch up.
ReplyDelete3 eps more doesn't mean anything when U got such a huge cast to feature and give everyone proper development. Last year I would say there were no fillers and I hope this year there won't be either.
ReplyDeleteDoubt they'll go past 16, that would be really huge. With 16 eps and starting mid January they would air without a break till the finales week. So I don't think they will move pass that.
ReplyDeleteWell LoT should break that pattern! LOL
ReplyDeletehttp://bit.ly/1B8U5yi It would have been really awesome if The 100 got 16 eps again but I'll take what I can get. It's bad enough that The CW has pushed it to midseason. And I would have loved 22 eps for iZombie since I just can't get enough of it but I'm fine with 13.
ReplyDeleteI didn't even know AoS S2 had been added. That's great. Maybe they'll get new viewers.
ReplyDeleteA "test" does not count for 5 episodes.
ReplyDeleteLighter stuff, yeah, but that's what iZombie and JTV is for. And of course they're going to put musical parts in it, regardless of what they said, it's a musical series. This show won't make it past first season. The force is strong on this one. Your hopes shouldn't be too high. You want to be optimistic about it, go ahead, but don't lose yourself in the clouds. It'll be a long drop when it all goes to hell. lol
ReplyDeleteYou weren't a fan of the movies huh?
ReplyDeleteYeah I saw it on a SHIELD Twitter I follow and I think its great doing it so early.
ReplyDeleteI think S08 is a done deal, and than JP will add another spin off to the franchise. She won't give up on that for sure.
ReplyDeleteI don't think they are going to have two superhero shows in one night...but I could be wrong. I could see Legends going on Monday's in place of Crazy Ex-girlfriend so it will be MTW DC show @ 8. And Containment going either on Friday and The 100 on Tuesday's after Flash or switched...
ReplyDeletei doubt they'll do that with reign & Jane,Janes their critical darling so I don't see it getting less than a full season & Reign is a season from syndication and on Fri.I think The 100 ends up in summer or airs in April after one of Containment/Legrnds finishes
ReplyDeleteBatB s3&4 are confirmed to be 13 episodes
ReplyDeleteOnly 13 for the 100? First they put it in the mid-season schedule and then we only get 13 episodes?
ReplyDeleteWhat about Reign& Jane?Weird they're not included .I guessed The 100 would go back to 13 but nobody belved me.I think Jane got a full season( its their critical hit)& suspect Reign did too.I see The 100 airing in summer since WLIIA will wind up on Fri at midseason replacing ANTzm.
ReplyDeleteThe 100 will air mid season as it says up there
ReplyDeleteMaybe, maybe not.S3 of BatB said midseason but it's airing in summer. There not gonna have room for The 100 in season-Jane will get a full season,I suspect Reign did too,wLIIA returns to Fri at midsessin & Legrnds,Contsinment will replace IZombie,SPN( SPN moves)
ReplyDeleteI think the majority of us knew it would be 13-16 episodes and it is just fine by me. Their pacing is so good, you get quality vs quantity.
ReplyDeleteYeah,I know but I remember telling someone that it getting to syndication in five season would require assuming it got 16 episodes s2 on and I said it wouldn't & they were like"why wouldn't it?"
ReplyDeleteWhat the hell - The 100 with only 13 episodes?!?!?!?!?!?! They should have given the legends of tomorrow only 13 and 16 to The 100!!!!!
ReplyDeleteNew Girl is a special case though. It has 4 seasons under it's belt, and a midseason move means they can accommodate more to Deschanel's maternity leave. Meaning she'd miss one or two episodes tops, as opposed to the originally planned 4 episodes she was supposed to be absent for. It's very unlikely a freshman show would ever receive a 22 episode order for midseason.
ReplyDeleteThat what everyone said about Batzb,Reign, zhoD,Jane and yet...
ReplyDeleteLegrnds would pair horribly with Jane
ReplyDeleteReign is a season from syndication,CW seems to favor it & a cast member said it got a full season
ReplyDeleteSucks that the 100 has only 13, I thought 16 was the perfect number. But I will take what I can get.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, it should probably be noted that iZombie and Crazy can get a backorder.
I said that about Reign... I said that about Jane... I am not saying that again lol.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure it will-it's their critical darling, cheap to produce, and stable in ratings and it's ratings weren't great but weren't awful either
ReplyDeleteiZombie has an option for a back 9, it isn't limited.
ReplyDeleteWhich cast member said it got a full season? I was looking for indication of that.
ReplyDeleteTV Line has confirmed now she will only miss 1 episode by the way.
ReplyDeleteI think it probably means some deaths are coming. Damn!
ReplyDeleteYes. That's been confirmed for Izombie by the creator. Crazy I haven't ready anything but I haven't ready anything saying the otherwise and since that's the standard for freshman shows I don't see why we should assume otherwise.
ReplyDeleteNot surprised about iZom6ie. They clearly believe Legends of Tomorrow skulls get The Flash's lead out.
ReplyDeleteWhere is Jane? It has to be 22
Legrnds will do better than the 100s though
ReplyDeleteGreat to hear! Thanks
ReplyDeleteI'm very pleased with the 100 having 13... really not complaining at all. I can't complain about rushed storyline too much when one of the main reasons I love the show is the pace. Plus I trust the writers they've been doing this for a couple seasons now & know the characters so I'm not worried. Also, the second season was insane and awesome and I'd argue that there were absolutely no filler episodes completely when compared to other shows, but there were certain filler subplots within certain episodes. Without that, I'm thinking season 3 could even rise above season 2.. Can't wait!
ReplyDeleteI'm getting p****d at people who want to cut TVDs Season 7 in half!
ReplyDeleteBTW, this is off-topic but - I remember you said you liked the American "Being Human", but not the British show. This Sunday "Poldark" will be on PBS, starring Aiden Turner. HE is the reason I liked the British show because underneath that messy, dirty, scruffy vampire exterior he had charisma and I knew there was more to him. I knew he could be sexy, smoldering and swoon-worthy - just a few of the adjectives being used to describe him in Poldark.. At last! You know I'll be watching.
Joy Hakder might Rember,he's looking for that link.I also remember hearing the production company said so too from someone here
ReplyDeleteLegends are only starting so they should have gotten the shorter order and besides 2 shows of DC comics are enough for the CW
ReplyDeleteHonestly they are a bit overdue. I like all of the characters but it seems really unlikely that none of them died during the MW arc.
ReplyDeleteI like the show for straight approach and that it doesn't back down so heads need to role.
Reign?
ReplyDeleteI think they will do 22 or else they would have just aired the 13 in the summer. But a confirmation would be nice
ReplyDeleteReign?
ReplyDeleteTrue but still,The 100 s not close to syndication and Legrnds will do better/have better retention
ReplyDeleteYes The 100 with 13 Episodes
ReplyDeleteBatB is 13-s3&4 are confirmed to be 13,Jane I'm sure got a full season( its CWs critical darling)& Reign is a season away from syndication,Pkus I hear a cast member Pkus the Candaian production company said it got 22.Its weird they're not included.Maybe at Juky Dummer TCAs?
ReplyDeleteI think so too.I think that's why it's on in fall and Czw wants a mix if scripted & unscripted/reality on Fri and despite its bad ratings,Czw seems to support it unlike some other sophomore/third season shows that also underperformed.
ReplyDeleteLol I can't believe peoplmactually thought it would get a reduced season!!!
ReplyDeleteI think killing of Finn was big enough of a punch to represent the losses of war in our side. And they killed of Maya in the finale. Honestly, I feel that had they killed of other characters in the episodes between Finn's death and the finale, it wouldn't have added much. It would be hard to top the significance of Finn's death so they wouldn't really add much I feel. They would be doing them just for the sake of doing them. I am kind of glad they avoid that trap.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree but no one dying during the final battle was a bit too "unrealistic". We'll have to wait and see how next season is going o break down.
ReplyDeleteWLIA will take a spot on Fri and I doubt they pair male skewing Containment with female skewing Jane.I see Fladh & Arrow bring leadin for Legrnds & Contsinment,IZombie not getting a backorder,Girlfriend not a backorder, Jane moving an hour earlier and SPN moving to Mon and The 100 airing in summer WLIIA taking over for Top Midel.
ReplyDeleteLOT- with 16 episodes it has to timeshare with either Crazy Ex GF (with JTV moving to 8pm so it would not have to air against Gotham/Supergirl) or with iZombie.
ReplyDeleteContainment-13 episodes
the 100-13 episodes. The CW can have one of those shows timeshare with either iZombie or Crazy Ex Gf, with the other show going to Friday, which would likely be the 100.
The other option, and I think the better option would be for Containment to air on Thursdays at 9pm while the Originals takes a 13 week break, and the Originals would air a split schedule like many of the ABC show. In that scenario, the 100 would air 9pm on Mondays with JTV sliding down to 8pm when Crazy Ex GF ends.
That is ridiculous,VD does better than The 100& IZombie, why make them long but the show that does better and getting more episodes for syndication shirt? The 100 showrunner wants short seasons too,Pkus both IZombie & the 100 fell to new lows in their season finales while VD didn't-it rose.
ReplyDeleteI don't think it would have added anything to the finale actually. In fact, it would actually have cheapen's Clarke's final grief scene as it would have been mixed with her grief over whoever it was that she lost. We needed her grief to come from her own actions and not from losing someone imo. And it is not like they ended up in pure battle one against the other to make it unrealistic... They were all going to be killed so Clarke and Bellamy had to kill everyone, that was exactly the point. There wasn't a physical battle per se.
ReplyDeleteiZombie has the option of a full order. Just depends on how the first few episodes do. If they come back up to 0.7-0.8 (Fall is always higher than Spring for CW) then it is a real possibility.
ReplyDeleteThis"I heard CW was having trouble being able to put Jane on Netflix too due to a licensing thing
ReplyDeleteMaybe,Msybe not-even if it does well CW has four shows for midseason to get on the schedule-Kegrnds,Contsinment,The 100( which I suspect will air in summer)& WL( will be on Fri).Fall is higher rated than spring, but for most shows, spring ratings become fall ratings meaning IZombies 0.5-0.6 could likley be its norm in fall,
ReplyDeleteIf Reign and JTV both get 22 episodes I think JTV may be moved to fridays at 9 midseason after ANTM ends. That way they'll have space for everything else unless iZombie gets a back 9.
ReplyDeleteShe lightly said once that she thought about doing a spin-off with Alaric & Enzo once the franchise ends for good last year.Who knows?
ReplyDeleteWorst case scenario-It completes 13 episodes on air and then ends for good.I don't see CW pulling it off-air mid-way TBH.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry.There's absolutely no reason they won't.
ReplyDeleteLoT will most likely get 1.2-1.3's regularly whereas The 100 0.7 at best.Business wise, this decision is more profitable. No wonder CW went for this episode order.
ReplyDeleteI don't worry about JP finding her way to be CW's Shonda. She'll pull off something.
ReplyDeleteI'm so spoiler eager, I need something about VD and Arrow ASAP
Same here
ReplyDeleteWLIIA will take a midseason spot on Fri
ReplyDeleteYou sure will be getting some once TVD start shooting mid-july.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait. ^_^
ReplyDeleteBut there were plenty battles before and The100 in MW survived it to easily.
ReplyDeleteOverall it is not a bad thing that they didn't kill and I agree maybe in thosr last episodes there wasn't space for a kill and would feel a bit to much. But overall they should work on lowering the survival rate.
I feel that you one year from now we won't be saying so though, so don't worry. I worry much for Abbie, I kind of think she has outlived her role. But I hope to be wrong, Paige Turco is awesome to watch and I love the character.
ReplyDeleteI have a feeling they are going to be summer shows, I know BatB is for sure
ReplyDeleteOnly the higher ratings shows get the added episodes apparently. I watch this show and some of the others, IMO 22 or 23 eps is overdone and redundant. I like the shorter seasoned shows, better storylines, less filler or set up episodes. Also, easier to catch up to if new viewer on Netflix. I would never start watching a show with Too many eps and too many seasons
ReplyDeleteLol. Got a feeling S03 will out do all what we have seen before.
ReplyDeleteThink Abbie is safe as long as she can provide development for Clark and after surviving last year, this year she should be okay. And I love her. I was so proAbbie last season and I hope she'll get enough screen time in S03
I'm more interested in BatB although they have already started filming S4. The others I kinda already knew they were going that route
ReplyDeleteOk Great! Thanks
ReplyDeleteS3&4 of BatB were confirmed to be 13 episodes
ReplyDeleteIZombie creator/showrunner said it has the option of one but with the schedule full,I'd be suprised if it got one.Girkfriend hasn't been said either way but for chedule space,I'd be suprised if it got one
ReplyDeleteIts such a shame, both shows would hugely benefit from being on Netflix.
ReplyDeleteWell we don't know the episode count for Jane...maybe it will only have 13 as well...
ReplyDeleteI'll be annoyed if Reign gets 20 something episodes with 0.3 ratings. It got lower ratings than The 100, so why would The 100 be reduced and not Reign?
ReplyDeleteThat said, The 100 only received more episodes because it was moved to fall, so this isn't shocking. Season 2 would have been 13 episodes as well if it had stayed on in the midseason.
No way their critical darling and one if their cheapest shows to produce gets 13 especially if gets a Emmy non next month
ReplyDeleteSeason was of The 100 was only 13 episodes. I agree though 16 should have went to The 100 instead. Especially because it could be their last season.
ReplyDeleteBecause Reign is a season from syndication and The 100 isn't.Also,The 100 showrunner said he wants 13-16 episode seasons
ReplyDeleteThe quality was better when it only had 13 episode and LOT can definitely pull 1s rating vs other shows except for The Flash.
ReplyDeleteLol I never said that about those shows. And my powers are different. They work. = p
ReplyDeleteI'm not everyone, and I personally never said that about those shows. Also, I never said it would get "pulled" before it's run. I said it would announce cancellation and that's not as rare as you think. It happens pretty often. Sooo, with that said. It won't make it past first season. If it doesn't get cancelled, you can say, "I told you so". Until then, I'll stick to what I said.
ReplyDeleteWe already know Reign and JtV are set to air when Crazy Ex-Girlfriend/The Flash/iZombie/Arrow/Supernatural/The Originals/TVD return in September/October.
ReplyDeleteThe 13 episodes has more to do with it being placed in the mid-season. I suspect the main reason it was 16 last year was because the show needed enough episodes to straddle fall and winter with a mini-hiatus. And the showrunner has always been very vocal about wanting a lower episode count. Quality over quantity. Also, it automatically makes it cheaper than other shows when considering a renewal.
ReplyDeleteWhereas LoT is getting 16 episodes because the network would love to give it a full 23 off the bat but the showrunners needed time to develop the series and there wasn't any room on the network's fall schedule.
iZombie does 0.7/0.6, the same of TVD lol.
ReplyDeleteHmmm ... still a mystery where LOT will be slotted. I still don't see it going on Mondays @8 opposite Supergirl and Gotham. I certainly can see one or both of the Thursday shows moving to Fridays if the ratings keep slipping and having LOT move into the 8pm slot there.
ReplyDeleteOh I didn't know that. To be honest they should hold WLIIA till summer, it does better there anyways.
ReplyDeleteI didn't say you were everyone, just that majority said the same thing about Reign,Jane,HoD,BatB.That Dosent happen often with CW.We'll see I guess won't we?I don't this attitude that just cause a show isn't someone's cup of tea, they assume no one Wesley will like and it'll be cancelled.
ReplyDeleteYes but look at the overall season avarege-VD is higher
ReplyDeleteTVD is on its 7th season. iZombie on its 1st. Ratings will only fall from here onward. TVD was a flagship show that iZombie can only dream to achieve. Internationally, TVD still does well.
ReplyDeleteAccording to series finale
ReplyDeletevD 0.72
iZombie 0.65
Well,it does well ( at times 0.5 ) in season,is cheap and they want a mix of reality & scripted on Fri plus it has 22 episode seasons so that rules out summer.Pedowitz announced it would be back at midseason when releasing next seasons schedule,
ReplyDeletewell given that iZombie is 13 episodes LOT will most likely go Tuesday 9pm no?
ReplyDeleteReign is closer to syndication and it will only air on Friday or during summer. Being annoyed about it seems a bit petty and redundant.
ReplyDeleteI seriously doubt they'll break up Vampire Thurs plus On Fri Reign might've gotten a full season and WLIIA returns in midseason. Its more likley IZombie,Girlfriend don't get back orders and Legrnds goes Fladh,Contsinment post Arrow& SPN moves to Mon.They won't likley put make skewing Kegrnds on their female skewing night with female skewing Jane either
ReplyDeleteOpiZmbie has the option of a backorders though.I doubt it'll get it and agree that Kegrnds goes post Fladh.
ReplyDeleteI guess DC's Legends of Tomorrow will run for 16 weeks straight.
ReplyDeleteYeo
ReplyDeleteMay I ask why you are always speaking out against the 100? Have you seen the show before & disliked it? I'm genuinely curious..
ReplyDeleteI seen a little of it and don't like nor dislike it.Im just not one of its fanboys/fan girls that can't admit it's not doing that great behind Arrow.Im also not so much speaking out against it as staying facts that it's further from syndication than Reign, that the showrunner Dosent want full seasons, and that it only did a tiny bit better than Reign this 2014-3015 season.Im also annoyed by its fans saying they'll be annoyed if Reign got a full season while it didn't or one of them saying they hoped Girlfriend flops so it could come back sooner,or begging everyone to watch & saying its the gratese show just like Beasties with Batzb and that annoyed everyone..
ReplyDeleteLike it or not. Ratings are still low to be desired. It's episode count doesn't give it a fighting chance for renewal especially against Reign.
ReplyDeleteNow n owhere did I speak out about like saying" I hate the 100 ,I hope it gets cancelled " or anything like that.I don't care about it one way or the other excepot it's ratings,
ReplyDeleteLegends is probably gonna double T100 in ratings and they'll want to give it a full season next season.
ReplyDeleteYou forgot Reign: 2 episodes. Lol. How low do we think it could go?
ReplyDeleteSurprised The Flash doesn't have like 30.
Because Reign is produced by CBS on a network where almost nothing is. As such, they've been trying to get it to syndication. Don't know why that applies for such a low-rated shows, who would want it?
ReplyDeleteThis show's trailer got 6 million views on youtube. Flash got 15 million back then. It's facebook page also have lots of likes. Ratings wise it can get Flash like ratings or better since it has characters from both Arrow and Flash Internationally, it can sell well. Tribune deal is expiring this 2016, the 100's 0.5 ratings will most likely drive Tribune away from renewing the deal. A show pulling 1s can definitely help.
ReplyDeleteAccording to a couple posters here and tvbtn citing a cast member and the Candain production compsny say it got a full season. Its on itpn the fall when everyone predicted it would go to summer so a full season is a real possibility.Omabin and I think if it isn't a full season,it would've moved to summer.Secibd, network days of 30 episodes a season was over 15 years ago,
ReplyDeleteYeah, it was a little bit of a joke considering The CW's situation. But anyways, I'm looking forward to seeing Reign's 0.2s and People Are Talking's 0.5s in the fall. Last Man Standing will look like a monster.
ReplyDeleteWe will soon as as end of June or intro July, the shows start filming
ReplyDeleteI was just curious!
ReplyDeleteI'm not yelling at you or anything
ReplyDeleteI hope so. I would love the 100 to get S4 & beyond. I hope Arrow will get 6 seasons with Lauliver endgame but doubt... :( Can't wait for LOT. Yes 23 episodes are exspensive agree. Praying OUAT gets S6 I need it like air! Same for Chicago Fire S5 & The Blacklist S4 i NEED my Lizzington drug.
ReplyDeleteAccording to take Five Productions( the Candain production company that co produces Reign),"Reign was green light for a 22 episode third season in Jan"
ReplyDeleteI know haha and I was honestly just curious.. I do understand what you mean though.. I am obviously a very big fan of the show & don't think the ratings reflect the quality in the slightest... but its always going to be in danger and I don't think the viewership will increase. I honestly have no idea where the CW/ Pedowitz's head is at but I know the 100 is one of the least favored show on the network & I mean I don't have all the numbers in front of me or at the top of my head, but despite probably lower average demo then some, it's clear its not on a rapid decline as others. Also the whole syndication thing is irrelevant for the 100 because of not only the episode orders, but the type of show. There are many other shows that reach syndication, but it doesn't actually happen. So who knows if TO or Reign even would. Thats risk and reward I suppose the CW is going to take.
ReplyDeleteThanks for that, already knew about S3 as its on air right now and eps titles have been released, but did not know of S4 ep number. Just know it's started filming.
ReplyDeleteThanks again for info
Ok, thanks
ReplyDelete100, Containment, and Reign have to go somewhere at mid-season also. I'm guessing Containment to Tuesdays @9 and 100 in its old slot on Wednesdays. And WB/CW seems to like to spread out it's superhero shows and only stack them on special occasions — which is why I don't think CW which is WB-controlled will purposely schedule one of its superhero shows opposite another superhero it produces, even if the other show is on another network. So I doubt LOT will land on Mondays @8.
ReplyDeletei forgot about SN. This is all a good problem for CW to have, too many shows and not enough slots. Might be time for them to start treating Fridays seriously, or expand to three hours on some of the earlier nights.
According to Tske 5 Productions on Feb 10,2025,Re" Reign was green lit for a 22 episode third season in Jan"
ReplyDeleteThe Candain Production confirmed in Feb 10 that" Reign was green lit for a 22 episode spthird season".
