There's was so much to love about this week's episode of Beauty and the Beast but of course there were a few things that ruffled my feathers as well. I tried to keep the picks as general as possible so don't you fret, if you haven't seen the episode yet, there's nothing too spoilery. So come on in see what I loved, what I liked and what I scratched my head over.
The Highlights
5. Vincent and JT brotp bonding time.
4. Interesting super-human of the week.
3. JT became a bit of a self-rescuing princess.
2. JTnT brought their A game.
1. JT defending Tess' honor.
The Lowlights
5. An unnecessary death
4. JT and Vincent came across like a couple of neckbeards in some parts of this episode.
3. Heather is back on track to becoming the screw up of the Chandler sisters.
2. We finally get to meet Tess family and they're all total meat heads.
1. The blatant, rampant, sexist, misogynistic dialog that tried to cloak itself in science.
I thought this was a pretty good episode. But of course you'll have to wait until Thursday to read my full thoughts about this episode so be sure to come back then. Please be sure to sound off in the comments about what YOU liked, loved and loathed!
You know I love for reading...
I especially liked your precise description of Lowlight. nr 1.
ReplyDeleteI really loved this episode :suspense, action and comedy ! I think that the action scenes and special effects look much better this season. Zach Appelman was great hope that he will be there for more than one episode ! I laughed so hard at several scenes ! Jay is so good in this funny scenes !
ReplyDeleteI very much would like to add in The Highlights without spoiling much of course is the scene between Heather, Vincent and Cat while the latter was driving. I thought that scene really deserved to get a mention. Connected with this, I think Vincent and Heather's surprise 'colloquial' was hilarious. All in all this was such a fun and at the same time 'on the edge' kind of episode. Enjoyed it throughout!
ReplyDeleteYeah, that was a fun scene, it's definitely mentioned in the review. Thanks for stopping by. I hope to see a comment from you on the full review.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I was like you do your demo is mostly females, right? It was like such an ugly caricature.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, I liked Appelman too! Kill Your Darlings was great. He'll probably pop on another CW show in the fall or winter.
ReplyDeleteWell i loved Heather in all her moments, i don't know why you didn't. I want Appelman with Heather LOL.
ReplyDeleteReally interested to see how you'll address lowlight number 1. Especially since you used words like "blatant" and "rampant".
ReplyDeletelove the vincent faces during the moving scene :)
ReplyDeleteMILKY ROAR FTW!
ReplyDeleteI've come to terms with the fact that S1 characters and girl-power are gone with S1 writers.
ReplyDeleteBrad Kern and his bunch of S2 dinosaurs are still living among us. Amen
what about her fiancé??? So far we know almost nothing about him? May be he will turn out to be also connected to those "extraordinary" people/experiments!!
ReplyDeleteI did but I'd rather save my Heather thoughts for the full review.
ReplyDeleteOkay
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing you haven't seen the episode yet?
ReplyDeleteI did, repeatedly, but I thought he might still make an appearance, sometime later.
