I get people enjoying a couple but hell, I can't help myself but feel that Arrow might be a lot better if that fandom wouldn't have gotten under the producers skin (not saying that what I'm saying is objective, I'm incredibly biased and pretty much hurt at what I percieve Arrow has turned because of it, I hope you can accept this :) really tired of fighting)

ReplyDeleteThe romance is a part of the superhero story. MG has already said that. Look to any superhero story and there is almost always a romance. It doesn't have to be all the time but it is always a facet.

ReplyDeleteObviously, the romantic plot is essential for literally every story. However it's a subplot that shouldn't be featured too prominently. Wich is exactly my problem with the writing for that particular couple on Arrow. The romantic plot is too much of a focal point.

ReplyDeleteI too I'm tired of fighting, but I disagree immensely in what Arrow has become. But moving on. Looking forward to seeing how Hive, Ra's al Ghul, will fit into this season.

ReplyDeleteI agree to a point. I think they could easily pull back from it this season. They can be together without it being a constant plot point. Logically you could have the episode and then at the end the two could leave the "lair" together. On the other hand I think people want it all taken out and if there is any mention of a romance they get angry.
ReplyDeleteNot sure how many titles but "Into the H.I.V.E" or "Going Darhk" they can squash out?
ReplyDeleteSame, I'm pretty sure that the grudge Ra's and Damien held over the years is going to come in focus, with Damien probably trying to join forces with new-Ra's.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see Thea in a Speedy costume fit for her, plus I'm kinda excited to see the new GA costume. Plus I'm kinda hoping for Malcolm to get a Ra's fighting uniform
I wouldn't mind the romance being given a scene or two from time to time. However it held dominance over this season and the way that happened doesn't call for repeating (to me).
ReplyDeleteIn fact, I'm hoping for them to be together and never over-acting on their romantic needs. A kiss, smile, wink or two are fine but no minute long meaningfull takes
I'm pumped for the new outfit for Oliver. I'd like the hat at least as a joke choice but that wouldn't happen. Doesn't Malcolm already have one from 3x23?

ReplyDeleteDepends on how you view how the season will start. I always imagined that the start of the season will show Ollie not being able to truly quit and messing up thugs wherever he and Felicity went, but with a change of attitude, i.e. becoming closer to the Green Arrow identity.

ReplyDeleteI doubt that the hat will be seen at any point, I guess the hood is the only aspect that actually will stay. Probably he'll go sleeveless.
ReplyDeleteYeah but that one doesn't allow for much movement. To tell the truth I'm still waiting for the classic Merlyn suit to show up (two quivers on the left and right side, all black leather suit, not as stretched as the LOA costume)
With Ra's you mean the old one or the new one?
I mean the new Ra's. Still I'd love a easter egg with the hat. Apparently for Thea though she'll have a cape and everything- basically resembling Mia's costume. Also curious as to Diggle's outfit.

we will probably get the title at comic con last year was July 8 Maybe we will get casting news on new character soon as the last two years were June 14 so this year is a bit late. We probably got some kind of season 4 synosis which was july 10 at comic con as well

ReplyDeleteHe didnt quit. His Arrow personna is dead. Unless people see him strolling around in the LOA garb he has no hero/vigilante personna at this point.
ReplyDeleteYeah that is the tude he needs so if we get the guy that wants this n doesn't fee like it's a burden placed on him, then yeah he is definitely closer to becoming Greenie. Lol I still think he won't be ready at least not in S4's premiere but I could see him showing signs sometime around or after Nov. sweeps.
