The rules are as follows:
1. Two episodes go head to head for 24 hours. The episode that emerges as winner will go through to the next round.
2. Vote for your favourite episode, and tell us what you voted for.

Starting us off today is The 100's midseason finale, 'Spacewalker' taking on Revenge's 'Abduction'. Next up, Castle's seventh season finale faces 'Face the Nation' from CBS freshman Madam Secretary. Nina Dobrev's final episode of The Vampire Diaries, the sixth season finale 'I'm Thinking of You All the While' is up against Hawaii Five-0's 100th episode, before it's the battle of the series finales as swan songs from Parenthood and Parks and Recreation go head-to-head.

ReplyDelete2) Nothing - Never watched Castle or Madam Secretary.
3) The Vampire Diaries "I'm Thinking of You All the While - Should have been the penultimate episode imo instead of the finale but still a good episode.
4) Nothing - Never watched Parenthood or Parks and Rec.
The 100 and Parks and Rec today. Both fantastic episodes of fantastic series, so they're pretty easy picks.

ReplyDeleteRevenge "Abduction"- easily one of my favorite episodes of the season! So much action in this episode which ended in an amazing fighting scene which led to the demise of Malcolm Black! Beautiful epsiode! Hope it wins!
Madam Secretary for my second vote- Lobed this series and especially this episode. Looking forward to season 2!

Parks and Rec- Even though i did watch both Eps Parks and Rec was easily the better epsiode and much harder for me to say good bye too! Parks had some great laughs in the epsiode!

I had to go with abduction, Revenge because it is thr very last time revenge will be here. Spacewalker was amazing though!
ReplyDelete- On the first one, I cannot vote one way or the other. Spacewalker probably is the better episode but as far as favorite goes from the two, I do not know since Abduction is one of my favorite Revenge episodes ever, while Spacewalker is one of my favorite The 100 episodes ever. Spacewalker will easily win anyway, but I am abstaining.
ReplyDelete- Madam Secretary on the second one easily, I've given up on Castle and I like Madam Secretary and feel it is quite underrated
- I have yet to finish this season of The Vampire Diaries so H50 by default, which had an amazing 100th episode.
- I haven't seen either of the two on the forth poll.
I just had to vote for revenge because first of all it will lose anyway and it is thr last time. I agree that the 100 was the better episode though

ReplyDeleteBelieve me, the 100's spacewalker was brilliant! There are more the 100 Fans in addition to that than there are revenge fans. But you know what, it was excellent episode of revenge. That is all that matters

ReplyDeleteSpacewalker may be my favorite episode of the whole 2014-2015 TV season. It was gritty, intense, and emotionally overwhelming.

ReplyDeleteIt might not especially since it's Saturday,but it is going against the 2nd highest rated The 100 episode on iMDb. Spacewalker was a pivotal episode in he series and forced the protagnist to go deeper into a moral grey area than she had ever been before. It was intense and emotionally devastating for the characters. For me it is the best episode of the season and the 2nd best of the series. It was a huge gamechanger.
ReplyDeleteThe 100 (Spacewalker was an excellent episode, the best of the season) and Madam Secretary. I am surprised MS made the competition seeing as it isn't one of the big popular shows. It surprised me that NCIS didn't make it while Madam Secretary did. Oh well, MS is gonna losa anyway.

I did this exact same thing on the comments of another site in March, except it was just shiws not episodes and the rankings were based off of ratings. Parks & Rec won, it should be interesting to see if it wins this one too.

ReplyDeleteSpacewalker was a terrific midseason finale, possibly even better than the S2 main finale.
One Last Ride will go down as one of my all time favourite series finales, concluding one of the best final seasons in recent memory.

ReplyDeleteYes. As someone who watches some other CW shows and even loves some of them, i can tell you that the 100 is vastly differen. It does not feel like a cw show.
ReplyDeleteGreat! I am glad to hear it. be aware however that even though i liked the first episodes very much already, they are widely considered the worst ones. Make sure to watch at least 6 episodes before deciding. And then Season 2 is superior to Season 1, which also helps.

ReplyDeleteThe first 5 episodes are average but it gets better from episode 6.Season 2 was basically flawless according to majority.But until you try it for yourself,you'll never be convinced of it's quality no matter how much someone praises it.It's the same situation with POI for me.Everyone praises it so much,i'm actually wary to give it a try for the fear of ending up disappointed coz the initial episodes are procedural.

2. Castle - Hollander's Woods (I really liked the way Madam Secretary's "Face the Nation" dealt with Elizabeth's PTSD, but my vote goes to Castle. This episode gave the viewers new insight into Rick and pointed Kate down a potential new career path plus that final scene could have been a lovely series finale; although, I'm happy that it wasn't the show's end.)
3. Hawaii Five-0 - Ina Paha (This was a fantastic way to mark the series' 100th episode. IMO, Alex O' Loughlin gave one of his BEST performances to date and viewers saw the end of Wo Fat. I also got a kick out of watching the role reversal of Steve and Danny in the flashback. *chuckles*)
