DAY 3! (Results from yesterday can be found here.)

The rules are as follows:
1. Two episodes go head to head for 24 hours. The episode that emerges as winner will go through to the next round.
2. Vote for your favourite episode, and tell us what you voted for.
3. Tell others about the competition! Social media is your best friend in this competition if you want your favourite episode to win.
4. Be respectful. This is a competition, but be friendly. Let's not have any abuse directed at any person, fandom or show, as we've had on occasion in the past.

The first of today's polls sees the episode that is arguably Game of Thrones' best to date, 'Hardhome', take on 'Nelson's Sparrow' from Criminal Minds. Next up, Revenge's series finale faces The Walking Dead's fifth season finale. Outlander's first season finale then goes head-to-head with The Musketeers' second season finale, before Castle's 'Reckoning' battles with The Walking Dead's action-packed fifth season premiere for a second round spot.

The draw:

Don’t forget to share the post; the more people vote, the more chance your episode has of winning!

Check back tomorrow for the next set of polls from round 1!

Sooo happy to be casting my vote for the Revenge series finale "Two Graves". This epsiode was a true masterpiece. In my opinion it was one of the best hours of television I've ever seen! Even though it was the last ever episode it was still filed with twists and turns that left us wondering what would happen next. An excellent last epsiode for this beautiful television series. Crossing my fingers it will be able to beat the walking dead! Revengers Assemble!! And Vote!

  8. Nothing for me today, although every show up there other than Castle and Revenge is a show I've watched but eventually dropped.

  9. Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead

  10. Poll 2: Voted for Revenge, it was more memorable than the finale of The Walking Dead.
    Poll 3: Outlander by default
Poll 5: The Walking Dead by default

  11. All around probably the weakest episode in the season. Didn't like how either development happened and how they concluded the individual arcs.

  12. Conquer & No Sanctuary!

  13. No Sanctuary was an amazing episode and Conquer was really good.

  19. Voted, Revenge, Castle and Criminal Minds

  20. My votes:

    1. Game of Thrones - Hardhome (IMO, the BEST action sequence of any TV series this season plus I loved Jon's wonderful and persuasive speech to the Wildlings, but he paid dearly for that correct decision...POOR baby!!!) : (

    2. N/A

    3. Outlander - To Ransom a Man's Soul (This was my most difficult 1st round vote. Goodness knows, I adore The Musketeers, but this episode of Outlander was gutsy, disturbing, loyal to the source material, and showed the power of love to overcome horrendous things. For all that, it earns my vote.)

    4. Castle - Reckoning (This episode shows that the Castle writers are as equally adept at crafting dramatic episodes as humorous ones plus IMO, Nathan Fillion gave his BEST performance of the season in "Reckoning".)

  21. Game of Thrones - Hardhome
    The Walking Dead - Conquer
The Musketeers - Trial and Punishment
The Walking Dead - No Sanctuary

    ReplyDelete
  22. Game of Thrones - Hardhome, The Walking Dead - Conquer, Outlander - To Randsom a Man's Soul, and The Walking Dead - No Sanctuary for me today.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Revenge- Two Graves! I know it is losing but for me it is the winner

    ReplyDelete
  24. Just voted for Game of Thrones as I haven't seen the rest. Need to catch up on The Walking Dead and start Outlander.

  25. Spoiler TV chose the wrong Criminal Minds episode to vote on.. You should have given us " Mr. Scratch."

Although it may have not been my favorite episode of the season I sure did love it. The only thing I didn't like was how quickly everything need something I blame ABC for not giving more episodes to have a proper ending. Personally I loved the individual arcs. In the end Louise realized Victoria was evil and betrayed her, Margaux teamed up with Nolan to take down white gold, and Emily and Jack got married. And of course Nolan and his revenge school! Personally I loved the epsiode but it's ok that's you didn't;)

    ReplyDelete
  28. It was poorly layered. There was so much more space to end this story than with the silly Victoria is dead/alive arc.
I hated Louise and Margaux switching sides so easily and insignificant, espwcially them who were all about loyalty.
And no matter how much I shipped Emily and Jack, that writing was so lazy and forced.
    Yeah I'm noylt a fan.

    ReplyDelete
  29. We didn't chose ANY episode. All the episode were chosen by fans.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Against the walking dead threes no way it will win.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I voted for Revenge because it ended exactly the way that i wanted it to

    ReplyDelete
  32. Anything thats put up against The Walking Dead or Game of Thrones will obviously loose.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Not true.

Last year TWD lost to Bones and Agents of Shield

and GOT lost to The Mentalist :)

    ReplyDelete
  34. i mean most of the time :)

    ReplyDelete
  35. :) Neither TWD or GOT have ever won the episode cup

    ReplyDelete
  36. Nothing definite about anything in this competition, I'd say. Absolutely anything could happen.

    ReplyDelete
  37. It does not really matter though :) Revenge was popular here and had a satisfactory season finale. I think that is the most important. And i am Glad it ended on such a high note and not on a bad note. I Would have preferred a very dark finale and i Would have written one as well but i shed many tears which means that it was great.

I Would have let emily die because it is supposed to show the audience that revenge is a bad path and no one should ever do so many bad things and then get a happy ending

  38. Game of Thrones
    The Walking Dead
    The Walking Dead

For the first time it looks like my favourites might move on to the next round. Yay!

    ReplyDelete
  39. The Walking Dead is Life!

    ReplyDelete
  40. Only Outlander for me today.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Only Castle for me today...and probably Outlander when I watch that episode!

    ReplyDelete
  42. so true, to me revenge managed to make the series finale pretty satisfying. Which made it easier for me to let go of the show. I do agree with u about it having a darker ending expect for killing of Emily, I think her ending up completely alone and living with the repercussions of her actions would've made a good ending too. :)

    ReplyDelete
  43. That is very true. However, it is over. People seemed to have liked the finale, myself included, and finales mostly end up not being very good. I am very happy that revenge can still go put on a high note. Now i am ready for a New tv season with fresh New shows and a year where i do not get spoiled, lol

    ReplyDelete
  44. Only Outlander for me. I badly need to catch up on Revenge... eventually, but Outlander, esp. this episode, is outstanding, nothing can top that. Sam Heughan was simply amazing.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Finally, a poll I can vote in! Game of Thrones, Revenge, Outlander (sorry Musketeers!), and nothing.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Me too! I'm definitely going to try out a lot new shows this season

    ReplyDelete
  47. - Game of Thrones on the first easily since I am not a regular CM wather and I love GOT
    - Revenge on the second for sentimental reasons on what is a tie for me
    - Outlander on the third
    - Easily No Sanctuary on the third, one of my favorite episodes ever

    ReplyDelete
  48. I'm on the losing side of all but one poll. Criminal Minds, Revenge, Outlander, Castle. I missed round 2

I loved the Victoria is dead/alive arc. When I saw that building explode I thought she was truly gone and for her not to be but rather her mother to be dead? That in my opinion is genius writing and I loved it. Yes Louise switching sides was annoying but she desperately craved attention and when Nolan stopped giving it to her she switched. When she realized Victoria was alive she knew she had to do what was right because Emily had helped her against her family and she knew she wanted to repay her for that. Margaux was filled with rage over Daniels death and
therefore for half of season 4 was filled with rage. By the end of the
season she saw the error in her ways and decided that she needed to help catch the dangerous White Gold. After losing her baby she didn't want any more loss. I agree with you about the Jack/Emily. Since the beginning I wanted Nolan and Emily to date because they would have been great together. However because I knew they were like siblings I knew it would never happen. I was very pleased with the beautiful Nemily moment before Ems got married and I loved to see Nolan walking her down on the aisle once again! I'm not sure what you didn't like about the writing I thought it was pretty good. And boy oh boy did I love the flashback where Emily got Victoria's heart. That was a perfect conclusion to the show because in the end even after Victoria was dead, she would always still be there with Emily. And of course I loved Nolan and how Emily set him up to help others achieve revenge that was great!

I guess it just shows you how two different people can perceive one episode in such different ways.

  50. This is another day where I have only seen one of the episodes, The Musketeers. So far so good in voting. Here's hoping it doesn't get too hard later.

  56. Got, TWD, Outlander

    ReplyDelete
  57. Why does it appear that a vote from my IP Adress has already been intercepted?

    ReplyDelete
  58. If you've already voted from your IP address you can't vote again.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I knew CM was gonna lose. The Ben Savage flashbacks alone saved that episode for me, and made it memorable.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Personally, my vote was for Lockdown.

    ReplyDelete
  61. This is Rome should win. Phenomenal Suits episode.

    ReplyDelete
  62. I can't speak for Suits, but I personally can't see it beating that GoT episode. Thrones really delivered that week with a superb instalment. Still, potential surprises are what excites me about these competitions and I won't rule anything out.

    ReplyDelete
  63. I mean, I think 'Litt the Hell Up' and 'We're Done' were better episodes, but This is Rome is the top rated episode on IMDB, and seems to be popular amongst fans. The only reason I don't like it as much is because a bad thing happens to one of my favourite characters. It's still exceptionally well done. Really not a fan of GOT, but that's just my opinion. It'll probably win anyway, but that's just my 2 cents.

    ReplyDelete
  64. But I didn't.. I've only voted for days 1, 2, 4 and now 5

    ReplyDelete
  65. Hmm. Very strange. Must have been a temporary glitch in the system. If it happens again let me know.

    ReplyDelete
  66. The Walking Dead - Conquer & No Sanctuary

    ReplyDelete
  67. Probably. I will, thanks!
