The SpoilerTV 2015 Episode Competition - Day 2 - Round 1: Polls 5-8

Jun 17, 2015

DAY 2! (Results from yesterday can be found here.)

The rules are as follows:
1. Two episodes go head to head for 24 hours. The episode that emerges as winner will go through to the next round.
2. Vote for your favourite episode, and tell us what you voted for.
3. Tell others about the competition! Social media is your best friend in this competition if you want your favourite episode to win.
4. Be respectful. This is a competition, but be friendly. Let's not have any abuse directed at any person, fandom or show, as we've had on occasion in the past.

The first of today's polls sees Arrow's third season finale - one of my least favourite episodes in this competition - take on Reign's penultimate second season episode, 'The Siege'. Next, Agents of SHIELD's midseason finale faces Once Upon a Time's two hour fourth season finale. The ABC fairytale show's 'Sympathy for the De Vil then goes up against Banshee's action-packed third season finale, before it's the battle of the Shondaland shows, as How to Get Away With Murder's midseason finale is facing the episode that has divided Grey's Anatomy fans - 'How to Save a Life'. There are certainly some very interesting polls going on today.

The draw:

Don’t forget to share the post; the more people vote, the more chance your episode has of winning!

Check back tomorrow for the next set of polls from round 1!

  1. HTGAWM for me today.

  2. Once x 2, HTGAWM and Reign.
That Arrow finale won't get my vote for sure.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Banshee and How to Get Away With Murder for me today.

    ReplyDelete
  4. 1.Reign-The Seige. No way i'm voting for that awful season finale of Arrow.
2.AoS-What We Become. It really was a close call.
3.OUAT-Sympathy for the De Vil.Cruella really shone in this installment!
4.Easiest choice-HTGAWM-Kill Me,Kill Me,Kill Me-What an amazing action packed episode it was.I was holding my breath the whole time!

  5. First time I can recall voting AGAINST Arrow in any competition when they are against a show I don't watch.
That episode was the WORST of the season, of the entire shows run, and arguably 1 of the 3 worst episodes of television I watched this past year.
So, for that reason, I had to begrudgingly pick Reign this round.
Also went with SHIELD, OUAT & HTGAWM

    ReplyDelete
  6. Why the heck is Arrow winning with that pathetic excuse of a finale ?

    ReplyDelete
  7. I am sure if this poll could show the average age of voters, the Arrow voters would all be under 18. Its all tween girls who read Twilight & watch Soap Operas that think it was good.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Olicity fandom in full force.LOL!

    ReplyDelete
  9. Voted for SHIELD, Banshee (even though I know that it is completely doomed) and How to Get Away With Murder.

Also, despite having never watched an episode of Reign in my life nor planning to do so, I voted for Reign out of sheer hatred for one of the worst episodes of television I've seen.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Arrow and SHIELD for me today. I didn't actually like either of the nominated Arrow episodes, but I'll just take the vote for the finale as a vote for the show in general. On the other hand, What They Become was awesome, so no problem voting for that.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Interesting how many people are voting that way in the Reign VS Starling Tree Hill episode.

    ReplyDelete
  12. This is how I voted in each one:

    1. Nothing.
    - I've dropped both Arrow & Reign

    2. Once Upon a Time.
    - AOS doesn't even come close for me.

    3. Once Upon a Time.
    - Probably my favourite episode of the series and also one I nominated so how could i not vote for it!

    4. How to get Away with Murder.
    - The nominated Grey's Anatomy episode is my least favourite of series, I thought it was horribly done. If the episode after that one was nominated though I would have voted for it since that one was one of my favourites of the series.

    ReplyDelete
  13. on the table "Outlander - The wedding" and "Orphan Black - Certain Agony On The Battlefield" might need to swap colors (isnt the winner supposed to be green-lit?).

    ReplyDelete
  14. Oops lol. Thanks for spotting. Fixed now

    ReplyDelete
  15. Reign -- Once Upon a Time -- Once Upon a Time - How To Get Away With Murder :-)

    ReplyDelete
  16. Poll 1: Arrow by default
Poll 2: Agents of SHIELD, mainly because of this: https://31.media.tumblr.com/0b7739a98ea8895fa9d1e9c809200d41/tumblr_inline_ngd4oyDi311rgmhe8.gif
Poll 3: Once upon a Time By default
Poll 4: HTGAWM by default. There's no way in hell I'm voting for that goddamn awful Grey's Anatomy episode.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Because fans of CW shows vote for their shows no matter what. I remeber a Poll whith the question "Which show did improve in its second season" or something like that. And obviously the majority of viewers think that The 100 improved in its second season. That would be one exolanation. the other would be that the fans just want to see it win a polll no matter if it makes sense or not.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Don't really care enough about any of these to vote. I did vote of AoS just because I like that show better then Once.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Agents of SHIELD

    ReplyDelete
  20. I did not know you watched HTGAWM.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I'm kind of disappointed, though not surprised, with most of the winners of the first day. Let's hope for something better today:

Arrow - Not even a choice really. It was an awesome finale.
Agents of Shield - I would vote any episode of AoS over Once anyway and this was one of the best.
Banshee - A brilliant episode and a much stronger show than Once.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Thank you!!!! I totally agree. The worst episode of arrow and the worst episode of the entire year for me

    ReplyDelete
  23. Was Arrow really that bad? I almost want to watch it to see for myself now lol

    ReplyDelete
  24. I was going to say the same

    ReplyDelete
  25. Great that you watch HTGAWM!

    ReplyDelete
  26. The finale was horrible! No cliffhanger, instead it was a soapy dumb ending!!! I do not understand how it even made it and i do not understand thr people who voted for it

    ReplyDelete
  27. Tomorrow it is Revenge's turn :)

    ReplyDelete
  28. I loved the finale. It kinda redeemed season 3 for me. And before anyone says anything it wasn't only because of the Oliver/Felicity stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Arrow - My Name is Oliver Queen
Agents if SHIELD - What They Become
Banshee - We All Pay Eventually
How to Get Away with Murder - Kill Me, Kill Me, Kill Me

    ReplyDelete
  30. Not even the worst Arrow episode in the competition for me, lol

    ReplyDelete
  31. That is not even what i disliked. That fight between the two was so lame even non Action shows have more epic fighting scenes. In addition, there was no cliffhanger and i was bored. Of course you are an arrow Fan and i respect your opinion

    ReplyDelete
  32. So you did not like that episode either?

    ReplyDelete
  33. If it was up against No Sanctuary as opposed to Conquer, I'd say that would be a close battle. But since the reaction from the finale was pretty mixed from what I remember, I think Revenge should take it easily.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I Would love it but i think TWD will win. And i Would Not be mad or so because i am sure it was awesome as well

    ReplyDelete
  35. I voted for both OUAT and HTGAWM ;)

    ReplyDelete
  36. Banshee really does. I didn't think that finale was the best of the season, or even better than last season's finale, but it was still spectacular and doesn't deserve to be destroyed as it is. But then I suppose that's the consequence of airing on Cinemax.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I just looked at the ending on youtube, was it that scene in the car? Because wow I never thought Arrow would do anything like that, it felt like a teen soap. Plus that line "I'm happy" from Stephen was so badly delivered :P

    ReplyDelete
  38. Screw Shonda. HTGAWM and both OUaT's.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I'm not a fan of cliffhangers so for me that was a big plus. The lack of cliffhanger was because it was the end of the Arrow chapter. Now he is going to be Green Arrow. But even if there was no big cliffhanger, there were several stories left unresolved. Oliver/Diggle friendship, DD and HIVE, Malcolm as Ra's, Felicity now owns the company, Thea joined the team and Ray getting blown up. Some major stuff happened. Sure the fight was a little disappointing but overall the finale was great.

    ReplyDelete
  40. None of the above

    ReplyDelete
  41. Sighs as predicted all my faves went out yesterday, today just voting for Agents of SHIELD.

    ReplyDelete
  42. "the Arrow voters would all be under 18." So apparently I'm ageing backwards. Good to know.

    ReplyDelete
  43. In whole competition there's only one show I will vote for and most likely it will lose. Same old same old.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I didn't even doubt:
    Arrow
    Agents of SHIELD
    Once Upon A Time
How To Get Away With Murder

    ReplyDelete
  45. Lets say it wasn't what we all expected. It felt forced and messy for me but it all depends on what you look for the series.
It probably wasn't that bad but when a show was so amazing the level drop feels harder and bigger.
I'm a huge Arrow fan and I usually suggarcoat things when they aren't that good but the finale felt just off. It felt like I wasn't watching the same show.

    ReplyDelete
  46. How do we vote? Through the comment section?

    1) Arrow
    2) SHIELD
    3) OUAT
    4) HTGAWM

    ReplyDelete
  47. No. You have to click on the title.

    ReplyDelete
  48. We have so much in commen! I hated the fallen as well! Hated is being too generous actually

    ReplyDelete
  49. By far the worst episode they've ever done

    ReplyDelete
  50. Why?
    Those were bad episodes..

    ReplyDelete
  51. How were they bad?

    ReplyDelete
  52. Why does arrow have 75% ?! That is frustrating!

    ReplyDelete
  53. " I am happy" the cheesiest line on TV that i have watched

    ReplyDelete
  54. Apparently im also under 18...

    ReplyDelete
  55. It was a good episode. It gets hate because as a finale they expected a huge cliffhanger, something that didnt happen. But for an overall weak season, this was a good episode.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Only one episode from one show is in the competition which I watch. Rest is so meh for me.

    ReplyDelete
  57. In my opinion, they weren't that good - I don't like them doing filler material in season finales, it's would have been fine if it were a reguilar episode. Cruella is not an important character and her episode was a waste of time. 4B wasn't good at all.
If I had to choose episode from this season, I would have chosen Rocky Road, The Apprentice, Breaking Glass, Smash the Mirror, Fall and Heroes ans Villains. Those were much better episodes in a much better arc.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Because obviously a lot of people liked it. You can only vote once so clearly a lot of people voted. I understand that you hated it and I respect that but other people didn't and they have the right to vote for what they like.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I voted for Arrow (if only because I haven't seen Reign, was not a huge fan of My Name is Oliver Queen - sorry, Reign fans!), Banshee, How to get Away With Murder and Agents of SHIELD.

I have a feeling that Banshee won't win because it's not as popular as OUAT (which I really need to catch up on), but ah well.

    ReplyDelete
  60. More than the cold or the bee jokes on the Flash?

    ReplyDelete
  61. Banshee and AoS for me.
I'm in the group that's disappointed with Arrow this last season, so no vote for that one this time.

    ReplyDelete
  62. So you're upset not because people are voting but because they liked the episode?

    ReplyDelete
  63. I am not upset. I just cannot completely understand how people liked the episode but okay. It does not really matter

    ReplyDelete
  64. I Would hope for revenge to win since it is the last time it will be in this competition

    ReplyDelete
  65. *Groans in agony*

Or the constant boomerang references from Captain Boomerang.

    ReplyDelete
  66. I don't have cinemax and I have only ever seen the Pilot, but it's on my ever expanding list of things I would like to watch/catch up on one of these years. I hear so many good things about it from the people who watch it! :)

    ReplyDelete
  67. Arrow, Agents of SHIELD, and How to Get Away With Murder for me.

    ReplyDelete
  68. I caught up with it in about three days over Christmas and I'm so glad I did. One of the most superb shows on tv.

    ReplyDelete
  69. You know what line really irks me? "Run, Barry. Run!"
Every time someone says it I roll my eyes. And they used it A LOT!

    ReplyDelete
  70. It's so bad. I almost feel like they were trying to do their own "You have failed this city" and themselves failed the city.

    ReplyDelete
  71. actually I'm 27 and I'm an olicity shipper and I hate soap opera and twilight. so STOP always offend us. YOU are the real baby here.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Just wanna pop in and say thanks for running this Bradley!

    ReplyDelete
  73. Yeah, that's my pick, too. Looks like that one's doing really well so far-I was a little surprised to see that "Grey's Anatomy" episode in the list. On the one hand, I get why, 'cause it WAS a notable episode, but on the other hand...well...considering the reason why it's so notable... Should be interesting to see how that plays out.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Couldn't they at least think of something original? When I hear it I immediately think of Forrest Gump.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Ha! I've never thought of it like that before.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Thanks, happy to do it as always. Hope you're enjoying it so far :)

    ReplyDelete
  77. It's the main reason why it bothers me so much lol

    ReplyDelete
  78. The episode competition and the pitch nominations= excellence! I love this site

    ReplyDelete
  79. Lol, there are quite a few reasons that it bothers me. That will become one next season now that you've mentioned it, lol

    ReplyDelete
  80. Always happy to help hahahaha

    ReplyDelete
  81. It's funny how all the olicity haters say we are all teenagers (I'm actually 27 and I don't know ONE olicity shipper who is under twenty and I know many olicity shipper cause I'm on every social network basically) but still they vote for reign even if they never watched reign just because we have to lose. So.. who is the real baby? you should watch yourself before judging other people.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Oh thanks, that didn't appear because I usually see the news on SpoilerTV+ not on the main site.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Yeah, that's a pain. It is something we're looking into fixing though so hopefully soon you'll be able to vote from there :)

  84. Goodbye Revenge, ∞x∞June 16, 2015 at 8:11 PM

So it looks like Revenge is going to be up against the walking dead. What has my life come to:(

    ReplyDelete
  85. Goodbye Revenge, ∞x∞June 16, 2015 at 8:11 PM

I voted for Once, Once and HTGAWM!

    ReplyDelete
  86. I voted for reign because IMO arrow does not deserve to win! I thought that was their worst episode ever let alone the worst episode I watched on television this year. The finale was completely underwhelming and i found myself being bored. If the end had been at least, then i Would be fine but no. The arrow writers listened to the fans and did what many of them wanted (good writers would never do this!!). It was soapy and cheesy. Arrow is an Action show, not a Romantic drama. You have to accept that as well. It may just be me and a few others who think this way but still. Arrow season 1 and 2 were fantastic. Unfortunately, season 3 was terrible

    ReplyDelete
  87. It's kinda flattering to be called a teenager. My birthday is approaching and I was feeling a little old lol

    ReplyDelete
  88. Bradley said it could still win ;) I saw you wrote a nomination for revenge as well for the pitch thing. So did I :)

    ReplyDelete
  89. Arrow will compete against daredevil. That should be interesting.

May i ask how the paring is decided here?

    ReplyDelete
  90. Ahhh okay. Thx for the explanation :) what was your absolute favorite episode this tv season?

    ReplyDelete
  91. I don't care if you didn't like Arrow. did you ever watched Reign? if so, do what you want. But I don't vote for episodes I didn't watch just because I hate the other episode because that's something a kid would do. I hated that GA's episode but I didn't vote for HTGAWM because I've never watched an HTGAWM episode.

    ReplyDelete
  92. POI's If-Then-Else was my favourite. Banshee's Tribal, Better Call Saul's Five-O and Game of Thrones' Hardhome right up there too.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Well maybe i should not have voted. Actually, I will change my vote and will not vote at all. I agree that that is not correct

    ReplyDelete
  94. Very interesting :) I have yet to watch hardhome. But i have not been spoiled which is a miracle. I better watch it soon though

    ReplyDelete
  95. I'll just be voting or "My Name is Oliver Queen".

    Freaking phenomenal season finale.

    ReplyDelete
  96. I'm a man, reaching thirty and I loved the finale.

It's people who know nothing about Green Arrow and just call this "The Olicity Show" that would like to say asinine remarks as you just did.

    Good job.

    ReplyDelete
  97. My votes:

    1. Reign - The Siege
    2. Once Upon a Time - Operation Mongoose
    3. Once Upon a Time - Sympathy for the De Vil
    4. N/A

    ReplyDelete
  98. We don't hate Olicity. I would never call myself a hater, I'm even a fan of the paring but the way they forced their interaction in the finale took so much of the finale and made it average at best, in my opinion.
But still as someone called you a teenager/baby you are calling them hater. Don't think that is okay either.

    ReplyDelete
  99. Worst excuses I've ever heard.

Do people just enjoy making zero sense?

    ReplyDelete
  100. Once, Once, and HTGAWM.

    ReplyDelete
  101. Go into the episode, or rather this entire season, knowing this it's the end of the Arrow identity and you will appreciate the season as a whole far more. What happens with Oliver leaving is a parallel to the flashback's finale as they will both likely be on their way to Coast City.

And Oliver needed to finally let his emotions known to become Green Arrow, who carries is emotions on his sleeve....for three seasons, we haven't gotten this yet and if it takes Ollie to be with a woman for him to finally let his other emotions known than just anger and rage, then why not? It's not a "soap" ending as much as it's an ending that's pivotal in this universe for Ollie's maturation into Green Arrow.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Me neither. Learn something new every day!

    ReplyDelete
  103. I forgot you watched HTGAWM!

    ReplyDelete
  104. I gather than viewers in general can't really take happy endings. I mean, look at the backlash for TDKR....people can't seem to take happy endings in CBM/CBTV.

    ReplyDelete
  105. Yes, that last scene is soapy, much too soapy, kind of out of place (and I love this show), but... I don't know if someone already asked about or if one of TPTB denied it... what if that last scene is a dream?

    ReplyDelete
  106. My wife made me :) It's pretty good to be fair

    ReplyDelete
  107. I had already considered the show to be mediocre when I started it but when they started to drag out the storyline in season 2 and introducing more romance among other things I let the show go. I certainly wouldn't like it now.

    ReplyDelete
  108. Nothing wrong with romance. Comic books have always had the best romantic stories I have ever read.

    ReplyDelete
  109. If-Then-Else and Five-0 are some of favorites as well. Amazing episodes.

    ReplyDelete
  110. There is if I don't like it personally, not that I always do, just most of the time.

    ReplyDelete
  111. 1) Nothing- Horrible Arrow finale vs the show I dont watch
    2) Nothing(because both)- Did the best episodes of both shows this season have to go against each other, ugh, I just cant vote.
    3) OUAT- Cruella was awesome here also dont watch Banshee.
4)How to Get Away With Murder by default- watch Greys but that was a horrible episode.

    ReplyDelete
  112. the haters are jealous of a brilliant episode I take it over many so called better shows

    ReplyDelete
  113. What did you like about it?

    ReplyDelete
  114. it superior to Fast enough with BArry responsible for destroying the world

    ReplyDelete
  115. When i see clips, it seems like it Consists only of fighting scenes. However, I am sure it Has some great serial storylines. I was thinking about watching it but it is too violent for me. I can take game of thrones but at one point, it is too much for me

    ReplyDelete
  116. The story is superb but the fighting and the sex is hugely important to the story, which puts a lot of people off I think. It really is worth watching.

    ReplyDelete
  117. HTGAWM for sure..... I'm not even a bitter fan because Derek is gone, but that Grey's episode was quite poor and definitely not one of their best of the season.

    ReplyDelete
  118. Barry's not going to destroy the world though, lol. Sure, he may be partly blamed for the singularity as is everyone who allied with Barry and knew this would happen as well as Reverse-Flash himself, but Barry will save the day.

I liked "Fast Enough" too, but I do agree that MNIOQ was the superior season finale between the two.

    ReplyDelete
  119. Yeah. There are people like me who can take a lot of violence (Game of thrones) but to me it is too violent. I am pretty sure it is amazing though

    ReplyDelete
  120. - The closure to Oliver's identity crisis. This season was a a must after last season choosing to be a hero and not a killer, but with doing so, he has slowly shed what makes him Oliver Queen and S3 more than ever almost ripped away who Ollie is, but by leaving him as The Arrow, he has become a killer again and that's what started last season, or even the first season really. To question whether you can be a hero or a killer is laying the foundation that you can still be a killer and when Ollie chose to be The Arrow and aligned himself with the League of Assassins, he became a killer once more. The Arrow had its flaws from the beginning ever since Ollie wanted to change 'The Hood' identity into something else when he needed to evolve, not just change identities or what have you. The story of the League of Assassins needed to happen since they name each member a certain identity and tarnishing their past, which is what we needed to see this seasons. What has happened to Ollie now at the end of it all is him finally evolving and not just changing identities. He's a different Oliver Queen and he's no longer The Arrow. I was also a fan of Oliver Queen/Ra's al Ghul round two. It paralleled their first encounter back in "The Climb" and I didn't mind Ollie killing Ra's al Ghul for many reasons because to me, it made sense to the scenario and it has now given Malcolm Merlyn a very juicy story next season.

    - Black Canary has fully become Black Canary. She has had extra training from Nyssa and now has the 'Canary Cry'. To me, Laurel has finally deserved the mantle and with the possibly that her and Thea will now be allies together, those two powerful women can now train together and get better because of each other as they could really need each other next season which brings my other point...

    - Thea Queen as Speedy. This season had to deal with a lot of character growth and development and not just Ollie's, which expanded over the last three seasons while Thea, after two mediocre seasons of her just being there and not doing anything, a lot has happened with her and now she's one of the "main guys" that go out at night. Nor longer will she just be someone that runs a nightclub.

    ReplyDelete
  121. Sure, if you don't like it personally, but when you have read romance in comic book that beats out any novel or what have you, you tend to not mind any kind of romance between Ollie and Felicity, and I don't.

    ReplyDelete
  122. That's the thing, they are not haters. They are fans of the show, which is why I'm surprised they hated the episode enough to call it the worst episode of the season, the series in TV this season. I can understand them finding it underwhelming or disappointing but hating it that much!

    ReplyDelete
  123. Nothing for this round - don't watch any of the shows!

    ReplyDelete
  124. Goodbye Revenge, ∞x∞June 16, 2015 at 10:47 PM

I voted for both Ouat episodes! Ouat is easily stronger than AoS and I've never seen Banshee

    ReplyDelete
  125. Goodbye Revenge, ∞x∞June 16, 2015 at 10:48 PM

    Revenge?

    ReplyDelete
  126. Goodbye Revenge, ∞x∞June 16, 2015 at 10:49 PM

    Please tell me it's Revenge!!

    ReplyDelete
  127. What's wrong with happy ending? And the ending wasn't that "soapy". People are acting like Arrow did an unforgivable act by making Oliver and Felicity drive off together. I know Arrow is an action show, that's why I loved it in the first place. But that doesn't mean the show is not allowed to have romantic stories! The comic books are filled with romantic stories, didn't see anyone complaining. Didn't see anyone complain when Oliver and Diggle have a brothery scenes or when Oliver and Thea share scenes. I didn't even see people complaining about the Thea/Roy scenes in 3x22, which were nothing but fillers for the shippers. Why the double standards with Oliver and Felicity. And why shouldn't the hero be in love? Why should the show be 42 minutes of people punching each other. If I'm not emotionally invested in these characters and their relationships with their family, friends and the people they love then why am I rooting for them? Why do I care about them or whether they win or lose?

    ReplyDelete
  128. Goodbye Revenge, ∞x∞June 16, 2015 at 10:51 PM

Was Revenge's "Two Graves" a top 8 seed?

    ReplyDelete
  129. No. Top 8 seeds are denoted in bold in the draw.

    Oh Dang it:(

    ReplyDelete
  131. I didn't think it was soapy. And it didn't feel out of place to me. Maybe because Oliver is my favourite and hearing him say that he's happy made me happy as well. It was a breath of fresh air after the miseryfest that was season 3.
    No, it's not a dream.

    ReplyDelete
  132. But as I said, it's hard people to take in happy endings. Hard truth when you even read comments saying "Bruce Wayne shouldn't have gotten a happy ending!" or "Ollie shouldn't have driven off into the sunset!". They're not look at the bigger picture of Bruce leaving the "keys" to John Blake or Ollie leaving the city is safe hands with Black Canary, Speedy, possibly Diggle and at that time, Atom(before he shrunk and god knows what else happened to him).

It's a double-standard, really, and a complicated one at that because as you mentioned, no one fussed about Roy getting a happy ending. Maybe it comes down to the ending of something,so it can be viewed as a true happy ending but this was specific to the nature of Ollie becoming Green Arrow, which is a head scratcher when people don't realize this. Something drastic as Ollie taking some time off was necessary for a decision to be made to become Green Arrow after three years of being something entirely different.

  133. I'm really happy that, the games have begun, Thanks Bradley for all the hard work you're doing, now on with the business my votes go to, OUPAT, and HTGAWM!!!

    ReplyDelete
  134. Lol, glad she did it is a great show:)

  135. Damn, this year is more brutal than ever for me, I have multiple episodes going against each other!
    - The Siege was actually my favorite episode of the second half of Reign's horrible season and possibly one of my very favorites from the season as a whole. However, I am still going with My Name is Oliver Queen here, which although flawed, was still more enjoyable for me in the context of the seasons of both shows
    - This OUAT vs. Shield one sucks. I am picking What They Become which was one of my all time favorite episodes of the show though. I really liked the season finale of OUAT too but I prefered this one.
    - Sympathy for the De Vil. I don't watch Banshee but this episode is one of my all time favorite OUAT episodes so easy one
    - I don't have a problem with How to Save a Life as most people do and the truth is that, for better or worse, it is an iconic episode now, but I am easily picking Kill Me, Kill Me, Kill Me here, one of my favorite episodes of the year too.

    ReplyDelete
  136. Apparently because enough people liked it.

    ReplyDelete
  137. It was flawed, but in my humble opinion not nearly as awful as some people around here are making it out to be. Expectations for the finale and all play a big role in the feeling I think.

Then again, I don't pretend to be unbiased when it comes to some of my shows and Arrow falls into that category.

    ReplyDelete
  138. I am kind of disapointed that you out of all people are going with comments as these. I understand that you no longer like Arrow as much and that you didn't like the finale but after all you endured this past year over at TVBTN and such I wouldn't expect bash for the sake of bash from you to be very honest. What is the point? Clearly enough people liked the episode enough to vote for it. And I don't really know how you can say it is fair or not without having even watched the opponent episode.

    ReplyDelete
  139. Well i already pulled back my vote hours ago. In the end, I decided not to vote at all. There was just no way i could nominate that episode. IMO (!!!!!!) It was just not good at all. And clearly i am not the only one if you go through this chat. Not everyone can always like everything. And i have learnt this over the past couple few months.

    ReplyDelete
  140. Easy peasy today since I've only seen one episode and I thought H2GAwM's Kill Me, Kill Me, Kill Me was one of its better episodes in a show of great episodes. I'm rooting for it to take its section of the bracket although if it does I will have a hard time choosing between it and The Flash.

    ReplyDelete
  141. I voted for The 100 in that poll because it was by far the most improved returning show for me this year. All my other returning shows went backwards in quality, some so much that I wish they had been cancelled last year (Sleepy Hollow, looking at you especially). The 100 had a fantastic first season and then improved on it a hundred fold in season 2. If one of my returning shows had gone in a positive direction it might have been close but The 100 simply was the best returning show and the most improved returning show for me...by a universe.

  142. Plenty of people vote against something they hated. It's just like a sports contest. My family roots for the Cardinals and whoever the Yankees are playing. It doesn't matter who they play. We root against the Yankees. This is no different. People are free to speak with their vote AGAINST something as much as they are free to speak with their vote FOR something. Personally I didn't watch either of them but I'm now voting against Arrow because I hate when people are called out for not liking something on a show by their own fandom.

    ReplyDelete
  143. You should vote the way you feel and not feel pressured by either side. Your vote, your choice.

    ReplyDelete
  144. I find that very interesting because if I allow more than one character in a show for the Character Cup this year (I haven't decided yet), then they will all definitely meet in the first round.

    ReplyDelete
  145. Dahne, when does the Character Cup start? I don't want to miss it

    ReplyDelete
  146. It starts in July. I'm hoping to do nominations the last week of June though. If you have any TV Talk Topic suggestions though, I am taking those now so I won't be searching for ideas at the end.

    ReplyDelete
  147. Thanks, looking forward to it, and I'll start racking my brain now:)

    ReplyDelete
  148. Just HTGAWM for me. I am still deciding whether or not to vote for that Arrow finale.

    ReplyDelete
  149. I was contemplating doing something like that but it was taking me way too much time and I felt that I was rigging the draw too much.

    ReplyDelete
  150. I see you were one of them.

    ReplyDelete
  151. Of course for some people it might be true. But it never reflects in the polls. Obviously everyone thinks like you (according to the poll) while the overall opinions are the exact opposite.

    ReplyDelete
  152. Am I alone in thinking that people tend to really overanalyze these polls and people's reasons for voting why they do? Debated and discussion over our choices is all well and good, of course, but ultimately we need to remember that this is all in fun. Yes, fans often do tend to be biased towards the shows they love-this is not exactly a new thing. It's an entertaining poll to keep fans occupied over summer hiatus, we don't need to analyze or judge people's choices to death.

    ReplyDelete
  153. Penny Dreadful. I don't watch Revenge.

    ReplyDelete
  154. Just Banshee for me today.
All four of my favourites lost yesterday and Banshee will loose today swell. How do we get more people to watch this fantastic show?

    ReplyDelete
  155. We send Burton round to their houses for a "chat"

    ReplyDelete
  156. I made a little list of ideas. Do you want them in email?

    ReplyDelete
  157. I discovered it a few days ago in the USDP for the fight sequences. Many people were sharing videos and recommending it, so I saw a few videos and downloaded all the seasons and so far it is amazing! I'm at the end of season 1 :D

    ReplyDelete
  158. Glad to have a new fan. S2 and S3 are even better than S1 imho :)

    ReplyDelete
  159. The show totally deserves it, a few episodes in and I was like "Why the hell I haven't watch it sooner?". But the good thing is that now I can binge watch it :D

    ReplyDelete
  160. Enjoy it! It is one of the few shows that get´s better with every season.

    ReplyDelete
  161. Ha!! You made me laugh!! :-)

    ReplyDelete
  162. Actually all of The 100 fans that I have heard from think that season 2 was an improvement over season 1. I'm sure there are people who didn't but the people on STV seems to think so.

    ReplyDelete
  163. As you have read I didn't "analyze" anything. I mentioned something I noticed many times.

    ReplyDelete
  164. Goodbye Revenge, ∞x∞June 17, 2015 at 2:06 PM

    Ah I see

    ReplyDelete
  165. My sentiments exactly with Banshee. I really wish more people watched it.

    ReplyDelete
  166. It's going on my CatchUp-List once it finishes its run but there are already 50+ other shows on there, so it might be a while until I get around to actually watching it.

    ReplyDelete
  167. I do too. I found it by the comments/articles here. Hopefully, others will catch on too.

    ReplyDelete
  168. AoS and Banshee.

    ReplyDelete
  169. Yay for The Musketeers getting through the first round this year, though I am sad it was against such an amazing Banshee episode.

Just the OUaT finale and Banshee today for me.

    ReplyDelete
  170. There have been a few people on the site who have started watching after seeing it mentioned so much in Quote/Scene of the Week and the Daily Polls. Hopefully they spread the word too. It's such a well constructed show, with amazing talent on it, it truly deserves more recognition.

    ReplyDelete
  171. My favourite shows will never stand a chance of winning in the competitions on the site, but that isn't the point as far as I'm concerned. It's a great way of looking back over the last year of television and discussing the best episodes with other people. The site is all about meeting and communicating with other fans.

    ReplyDelete
  172. One of who? I can't be "one of them" when you horrible excuses, or what you'd like to call "reasons" is false. People have never just voted for a CW show just because. It's silly and sound like something one like yourself would like to think just because any show you have probably voted for never got as many votes as you wanted.

    ReplyDelete
  173. Don't worry about me. My show won every category it was nominated in a few weeks ago.

And why so defensive if you're not "one of them"?

    ReplyDelete
  174. Answering you is now "defensive". Easy there. If anyone comments you, you think they're being defensive.

Also, I think I must "worry" about you since you like to make excuses for why a CW show leads a poll. Can take the hard truth I guess.

    ReplyDelete
  175. LMAO!! What hard truth??????

    ReplyDelete
  176. Now THAT reply surely sounds defense. All capitalized 'lmao'. I corrected your asinine remark and you can't take it.

    How cute.
