The SpoilerTV 2015 Episode Competition - Day 15 - Quarter-Finals

Jun 30, 2015

DAY 15! (Results from yesterday can be found here.)

Hey all,

First of all, apologies for the delay between Day 14's polls closing and today's polls going live. Unfortunately I cannot schedule in these polls when I don't yet know half of the competitors. There will be another slight delay (albeit hopefully much shorter) between the quarter-finals ending and the semi-finals ending, and likewise with the semi-finals to the final. Please be patient during this short time - I will be working as quickly as I can.

I've said time and again that this competition - much like every other competition run on SpoilerTV - is completely unpredictable. That was clear yesterday as Agent Carter's 'Snafu' took out Arrow's much loved episode 'The Fallen'. Suffice it to say, I was left stunned that the Arrow fanbase had been beaten this early in the competition, by a competitor that I had considered to be a perhaps very outside contender at best for the competition. Now? Who knows. Anything can happen in these polls, and it's up to the fans to keep spreading the word on social media to get as many fellow fans as possible to vote. With only three days left, and eight competitors remaining, I can see all seven remaining polls going right down to the final minutes, so it's essential that you get the word out if you want your episode to win. Your vote could be the difference.

Four seeds remain - one in each quarter-final, which is pretty nice. Six shows still stand; all six have large, loyal fanbases. This is set to be dramatic.

The rules are as follows:
1. Two episodes go head to head for 24 hours. The episode that emerges as winner will go through to the next round.
2. Vote for your favourite episode, and tell us what you voted for.
3. Tell others about the competition! Social media is your best friend in this competition if you want your favourite episode to win.
4. Be respectful. This is a competition, but be friendly. Let's not have any abuse directed at any person, fandom or show, as we've had on occasion in the past.

Before we head into the quarter-finals themselves, please vote in this poll regarding the results for the final of the competition. This poll will remain open for around 48 hours and will be reposted in tomorrow's semi-final post.

The draw:

Don’t forget to share the post; the more people vote, the more chance your episode has of winning!

Check back tomorrow for the semi-finals!

  1. Person of interest x 2

  2. Person of Interest twice. I'd have probably abstained from the last poll but since Agent Carter beat Arrow yesterday, it's got the edge for me so I've voted for it. But, if The 100 wins, I will be quite happy.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Just left rooting for The 100 now :)

    ReplyDelete
  4. Just Person of Interest - YHWH. It was brilliant and is the best season finale of POI.

    ReplyDelete
  5. There's also If-Then-Else!

    ReplyDelete
  6. Well, this is going to be really hard for POI this round. Outlander and Castle have great fanbases. Hopefully at least one of our episodes will make it!

    ReplyDelete
  7. This quarter finals is going to be intense, I'm already biting my nails in anticipation lol:
Person of Interest - YHWH and If-Then-Else.
The 100 - Blood Must Have Blood Part 2

    ReplyDelete
  8. POI / POI / I was torn between The 100 and Agent Carter, but I'm gonna go with Carter.

    ReplyDelete
  9. I loved AC's Snafu but The100 had that gamechanger which really changed the show for forever.
I voted for Arrow just to keep it in the game. We can't do this competition without an Arrowverse show.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Person of Interest x2

    ReplyDelete
  11. Twice Person of Interest, I simply love both episodes. Also voting for The 100 but not participating on the Arrow - Outlander one. I didn't really like Arrow's finale but since I don't watch Outlander, I abstain from that one

    ReplyDelete
  12. Person of Interest x2! Go get it, POI, you incredible show, you!

Voted for Person of Interest twice today! Happy day!

    ReplyDelete
  14. If-Then-Else and YHWH no shocker on the home front.

    ReplyDelete
  15. If-Then-Else and YHWH no shocker on the home front here.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Big fan of both Agent Carter and the 100 but I chose the 100. However, I'll be fine with whoever wins.
As for POI/Outlander, well... I quite enjoyed Outlander but it's nowhere near my level of adoration for POI, so that choice was easy. And since I don't watch Castle...

    ReplyDelete
  17. Person of Interest YHWH and If-Then-Else.
C'mon POI, i would like to see YHWH vs If-Then-Else in the finale!

  18. Goodbye Revenge, ∞x∞June 29, 2015 at 10:12 PM

I voted to not see the results of the final! I think it would be more fun for it to be suspenseful!

    ReplyDelete
  19. Arrow and Castle. Haven't seen both the 100 and Agent Carter's episodes yet so I can't choose one.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Agent Carter gets my enthusiastic vote and then Outlander - The Wedding.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Oh this is gonna be exciting. I'm rooting hard for POI!

    ReplyDelete
  22. My sentiments exactly! It would be a lot more fun that way while also keeping everyone on their toes during the finals haha.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Just The 100! I guess there will be some close battles today, although it currently seems that Castle and Outlander fans haven't woken up yet.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Arrow, Person of Interest x 2, and The 100.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I miss Martine. I mean, I hated her but it was so fun to hate her. She was great in If-Then-Else; I wanted so badly for Shaw to shoot her at least once!

    ReplyDelete
  26. Dedicating my votes this round to the Machine.

    ReplyDelete
  27. one of my favorite POI villains, the Blonde Typhoon as i called her. The perfect foil for Root and Shaw.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I'm pretty Shaw it already is exciting. :P

    ReplyDelete
  29. A moment of silence of silence for the blonde typhoon.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Arrow - I don't care what people thought of this episode. I loved "My NAME is Oliver Queen" It's the little things that make me happy.
    N/A

The 100 even though it wasn't my favorite episode or AC, Peggy and Jarvis. What to do.

    ReplyDelete
  31. later this year in the fall

    ReplyDelete
  32. Oh okay. Then i will watch it!

    ReplyDelete
  33. September/October. Seasons 1-3 already on UK Netflix, if you do that sort of thing...

    ReplyDelete
  34. This one is going to be tight. I've chosen and I went with my love of all things Agent Carter over my love of The 100 and not so much love of the finale.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Ok cool! I will Start soon. Do the have many scenes like the one above?

    ReplyDelete
  36. show has a lot of amazing moments.

    ReplyDelete
  37. What, highly emotional scenes or brilliantly crafted ones? There are lots of the latter, and quite a few of the former.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I will be sad when this competition is over

    ReplyDelete
  39. I see what you did there :D

    ReplyDelete
  40. In terms of music, there are many more great examples like that one.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Character Cup shortly after, and then the Favourite Series Competition after that. Then the season starts again :)

    ReplyDelete
  42. Outlander and the 100 for me

    ReplyDelete
  43. YES! You won't be disappointed. Seasons 1 and 2 are great but the real deal for me was season 3, and then of course season 4. Some episodes are outstanding and breath-taking and I guarantee you, you will cry.

    ReplyDelete
  44. season 3 shocked me, season 4 made me move POI to all time favorite. won't regret it.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Totally agree. Actually season 1 was a bit too procedural for me but still better than most of the other shows out there. Season 2 was great and season 3 and 4 blew my mind.

    ReplyDelete
  46. I knew the show would get better and better. I always had faith in everyone working on POI. Season 3 did have the game changing event.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I'll watch it soon. Not as soon as next week, but soon. So tell me what you think of the ride!
I watched when it premiered until episode 5, then dropped it. People have told me it gets amazing, so I'm willing to give it a second chance.

    ReplyDelete
  48. You won't regret it. Absolutely become the best show on network tv (well - if you ask me, as someone who is yet to watch Hannibal). Catching up two years ago was the best choice I could have made, and it has become a bit of an obsession now lol.

    ReplyDelete
  49. to love poi you have to be down for the slow burn type of story. second half of season 2, all of season 3 and 4 are the best on tv.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Yay! It does start out slow, but it gets so much better (and so soon too - episode 7 is the first really terrific episode).

    ReplyDelete
  51. Don't make me want to watch It now because i have no time!!! ;) i am Really excited

    ReplyDelete
  52. It's a tough choice between Hannibal and POI. Both are definitely the top 2 on Network.

    ReplyDelete
  53. You won't regret it. It's unlike any tv show. It's unique.

    ReplyDelete
  54. This post is my go-to post when someone is interested in watching POI:

    http://blood-inthefields.tumblr.com/post/121928837431/person-of-interest-fan-videos-masterpost

It's a masterpost of fanmade videos. Now if you check them out, beware of spoilers!

    ReplyDelete
  55. I can do slow burn, it usually pays off greatly. Ask Fringe, started off with an entertaining but really outstanding first season and by episode 35 it became one of the best things arounds. It seems POI follows the same track, so I'm willing to get back on it!

    ReplyDelete
  56. When Hannibal goes in a couple of months time POI will be unrivalled ;)

    ReplyDelete
  57. That Just the Beginning trailer is absolutely the best thing I've ever seen.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Hannibal better be saved by a streaming service.

    ReplyDelete
  59. If there are spoilers, then I'll stay away from it. All I know is Amy Acker is becoming a regular and someone (won't say who to avoid spoilers) will die.
Since Amy Acker did such an amazing job on Angel, knowing she is going to be on POI is a bonus to watching it

    ReplyDelete
  60. All this love for POI in this competition just boggles my mind even more as to why CBS is holding off S5 till midseason and reducing the episode order from 15 to 13. AND possibly being the final season of the show. CBS are idiots. The POI fandom is incredible.

    ReplyDelete
  61. its often said nolan used the procedural stuff of the first season to get on the air so he could do what he really wanted to do and thats what comes in the later seasons. it makes since because cbs isn't know for shows like this one.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Do you know who Acker's character is? Hope not, you'll enjoy season 1 more if you don't know.

    ReplyDelete
  63. its all about money and playing favorites. Amazing Show, wrong network.

    ReplyDelete
  64. I remember the interview, I saw it in the showrunners documentaries. He and his crew wanted to make it serialized but were crippled by CBS. In the end they managed to win over CBS and start doing serialized stuff little by little and the show became much better.

I really came to like the crew of POI in that documentray

    ReplyDelete
  65. So does POI after season 5.

    ReplyDelete
  66. I know her name but that is all

    ReplyDelete
  67. Just her name, no details beyond that

    ReplyDelete
  68. OH MY GOD episode 7 YES. That was the episode that made me go OOOOOH and after that, I knew I'd be hooked to this show.

    ReplyDelete
  69. I was hooked from the first trailer. I knew I was going to love the show.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Exciting! I'm nominating Root! Best character on TV right now.

    ReplyDelete
  71. "Veni, vidi, vici." Awesome. Truly awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  72. They are all amazing. Forever grateful for the great work they all do. The continuity is on point. The dialogue is great, sometimes dark, sometimes funny. Makes you reflect on things. And episodes like The Devil's Share or If-Then-Else were so well-directed they deserve awards.

    ReplyDelete
  73. That's on Netflix, right? Been meaning to watch that for ages.

    ReplyDelete
  74. https://youtu.be/6Nxux7KGZkg

I will watch POI definitely, but you must watch the 100 as well. Amazing Show!

    ReplyDelete
  75. That's great!
Lately there's been quite some unique shows out there, is good to know there are more of those :).
Among The 100, GoT, Daredevil and The Affair (all of them vastly different and unique), I'm itching to get yet another show that is completely different from anything else! God, these are such great times to be a TV fan :D

    ReplyDelete
  76. Here's one you can watch, since it's a trailer of season 1:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z0jlDfqYXjE

    ReplyDelete
  77. I agree completely; while I haven't seen POI, I can say that from what I have seen, The 100's second season is completely stellar. By far my favorite season of the 2014-2015 season, even beyond my favorites GoT, Daredevil and The Affair on the drama front.

    ReplyDelete
  78. It also needs a bigger audience! I love the 100 and am really excited for POI

    ReplyDelete
  79. I downloaded it so I don't really know xD.
It's pretty good, and it doesn't go over the 90 minute mark so it doesn't take too much of your time. It's very interesting.

The most featured shows are: Buffy/Angel from Wheadon, POI, Fringe (a bit), LOST, House of Lies, The Good Wife, and those are just the ones I remember on the top of my head. There's a lot of shows covered.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Sounds like what Fringe did. Well, it's another Bad Robot production so, I guess it was meant to be :)

    ReplyDelete
  81. It does look very interesting. I will get to it eventually (once I get through the ridiculous amount of other show's episodes I need to watch, lol)

    ReplyDelete
  82. Looks like some of these are going to go down to the wire. My picks Outlander: The Wedding, POI YHWH, POI- If Then Else , and Agent Carter.

    ReplyDelete
  83. I already watch The 100 ;)

Same as for POI, it took me a few episodes to truly appreciate the show. Now I love it. Not as much as POI (I don't love anything as much as I love POI) but it's still a great show!

    ReplyDelete
  84. It's all because CBS doesn't own the show, thus they can't make money out of it. POI actually had pretty good ratings.

    ReplyDelete
  85. The way it works out is pretty clever, as a parallel for Finch and Reese drawing more attention over time, and for the Machine's evolution.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Yup, the final scene of episode 7 was the moment that made me realize that this show was NOT fucking around whatsoever. Elias is one of the most ruthless and fascinating characters around. Enrico Colantoni is phenomenal in the role. Also, that soundtrack!! POI has the best soundtrack of any show. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LPeAi_X8cLg

    ReplyDelete
  87. Person Of Interest's If-Then-Else was truly a television masterpiece. I can't remember getting totally blown away by a tv show since BrBa ended. I envy those who gets to watch the episode for the first time.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Episode 4 sealed the deal for me. 'Cura te Ipsum' - great episode which threw up a lot of questions about morality and revenge.

    ReplyDelete
  89. I also like that despite the division between Bellarke/Clarke and Clarke/Lexa shippers, everyone seems to agree that Lincoln/Octavia are A+ and need to stay together.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Root gets a lot of love, I'm so happy! But I wish people didn't forget about Shaw, who is such an underrated character. The writers are doing a great job at portraying her and her sociopathic tendencies.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Looks like I only have The 100 left in the competition so my vote goes there.Special episode. Clearly I need to start POI at some point... I love Michael Emerson & I'm pretty sure Paige Turco guests right?!

    ReplyDelete
  92. She does indeed appear at points.

    ReplyDelete
  93. This scene gives me chills and goosebumps, and it's been over 6 MONTHS. But watching your favorite character get gunned down in front of you while the woman who loves her watches helplessly, in slow-motion, with an awesome soundtrack, to end an already wonderful episode will do that to you.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Voted for #Outlander To Ransom a Man's Soul & #Outlanter The Wedding.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Ugh why'd you have to post this scene! Very emotional. I always knew Clarke was going to end up having to kill everyone. It was obvious if you think about it. But the act in in itself & the performances by everyone really elevated the episode. People always complain how it was obvious or you know .. no battle. But I thought it was brave storytelling by the writers to do the opposite and have a very emotional&cathartic finale that will have definite trauma for everyone going into s3.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Arrow losing now........if it is gone I won't vote anymore

    ReplyDelete
  97. I'll never forget about Shaw and her steak. Nolan said they had a "killer story line" for Shaw. I'm looking forward. Too bad they won't have a full season to tell the story. :(

    ReplyDelete
  98. I see what you did there with the name :D

    ReplyDelete
  99. I'd never seen that one before. Awesome!

    ReplyDelete
  100. She does. I love her character. Wish we'd see her more often.

    ReplyDelete
  101. Same. I probably won't have anything left to vote for anyway. It's sad the amount of hate Arrow is getting lately. There are people who vote for the other show not because they like it, but to make Arrow lose.

    ReplyDelete
  102. We all love Amy Acker and Root, but who else loves Sarah Shahi and Shaw? Look at that smile!

    ReplyDelete
  103. Of course my votes go to Person of Interest and Person of Interest!!! FTW!

I'd love if for once the final vote was kept from us until the competition was closed. But it seems most people doesn't have the patience,oh well....

    ReplyDelete
  104. I would much rather be able to continue to follow the results live. There have been so polls in which the twists and turns the race takes makes it so much more fun to watch. In addition, I legitimately think it would change the outcome. I think The Walking Dead would have taken out Outlander last week for instance had Outlander fans not realized their show was in need of votes (Then again, it could have been that TWD would have never come massively to begin with). So I would really prefer them open.

    Today's votes:
    - Arrow on the first. I like Outlander but that episode is not even one of my favorites to be honest. I also tend to prefer mostly every single episode of the second half of the season to those of the first half. Arrow was not a perfect finale and it was my least favorite finale out of those 3, but I still like it more.
    - Person of Interest on the second. To Ransom a Man's Soul is an episode I actually love but it has to be the Person of Interest finale here, But this is truly an upset and I almost didn't vote at all
    - Easily Person of Interest on the third by default (dropped Castle at the end of last season)
    - I love you Agent Carter and I really promise that I wish I could support you in this competition more than I have been doing and I am really happy you made it through here, but it has to be The 100 here, I just can't bring myself not to support it here.

    ReplyDelete
  105. Outlander, Outlander, Person of Interest, and Agent Carter!

    ReplyDelete
  106. After you finish Game of Thrones!

    ReplyDelete
  107. The momentum from Agent Carter is shocking me

    ReplyDelete
  108. I'm astounded. I seriously underestimated it at the start of the competition.

    ReplyDelete
  109. It turns out you still have a horse in the race after all, Dahne! Who knew Agent Carter would bring you this far!

    ReplyDelete
  110. Amy Acker should be nominated for an outstanding supporting actress in a drama series this year, in my opinion. I was so stunned with that episode

    ReplyDelete
  111. I definitely think so to. It really killed me that poll

    ReplyDelete
  112. mochof webkru. :)

    ReplyDelete
  113. I love all of Zurik's videos. They are all spectacular. I also really like the Shoot vids from Nialies. Great stuff!

    ReplyDelete
  114. Amy Acker was always good on the show but what she did on Season 4 was something else entirely. She was exceptional, it was pure brilliance. It will be a sad day for television when the Emmy nominations are announced and she is left out, it will really be unfair.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Agent Carter only for me

    ReplyDelete
  116. He was very precise when he said it ;)

    ReplyDelete
  117. I have been having major The 100 withdraws lately. I have convinced my sister to watch it and she has gone completely addicted to it but she keeps calling me saying "I can't believe they did that and that". It makes me relieve the whole thing. I miss it a lot, I with it would come back already

    ReplyDelete
  118. I am shocked and absolutely thrilled. Maybe more people will spread the word about Agent Carter.

    ReplyDelete
  119. To me it's not about the patience but I find it fun to see things being reversed. I like keep coming back to the thread and seeing the results swapped from what they were before, all the back and forth is part of the excitement for me!

    ReplyDelete
  120. I think everyone did. And it only had 1 episode nominated!

    ReplyDelete
  121. Little firecracker, got to love Shaw......

    ReplyDelete
  122. Yes, I actually agree with that. I went with the 100 finale but it was an excruciating poll and choice for me and part of me is very happy with the agent carter momentum. I will be happy (and sad lol) regardless of the outcome of that poll, which is actually not a bad position to be at.

    ReplyDelete
  123. I love it because one moment she's all adorable and giggly and then next thing you know, she'll have you in a chokehold in 0.3 seconds. Such a badass.

    ReplyDelete
  124. I think that is because they are both equally great as themselves or as a couple and because they further the plot in a way most relationships on TV do not. Without Lincoln getting infatuated with Octavia, they could not have created ties to the grounder culture as smoothly. It took them from hostiles to temporary allies and made the grounder story so much richer.

    ReplyDelete
  125. I just rewatched Relevance last night. Still great, and I love the dynamic Shaw had with Cole.

    ReplyDelete
  126. Lucky. I am not a fan of The 100 finale. If this had been any other episode (except the killer ape one) I would be voting for The 100 over Agent Carter and unhappy at having to choose. If AC goes, so do I for the competition, but The 100 will be one of the ones I will be rooting for in the Favorite Show competition.

    ReplyDelete
  127. Yes, I know you are not a fan of the 100 finale although you are a big fan of the 100! In this particular case, it actually suited you better since it made your life easier

    ReplyDelete
  128. Easy choices remaining:

    Person of Interest x2
    Arrow
    The 100

    ReplyDelete
  129. In a summer of tough poll choices (especially as we hit August), I will be very grateful for what was very easy voting for me this entire contest.

    ReplyDelete
  130. Person of Interest and Person of Interest :D

    ReplyDelete
  131. I love her. She's my favorite POI lady, after Carter.

    ReplyDelete
  132. Shaw is perfect. I love her so much!

    ReplyDelete
  133. Love that compact persian sociopath.

    ReplyDelete
  134. I didn't have it that easy! But I guess that is a consequence when you watch a lot of TV as I am aware I did this season

    ReplyDelete
  135. Why it is a much better show than the 100.

    ReplyDelete
  136. Yes, it is exciting but it could be done without having the votes show. You would still be able to tell how close it is by the graft, the only thing missing would be the numbers. It could even be where Bradley could post the difference between the two,how many votes one is winning as the last few hours count down... Just something different and it might add even more excitement. Who knows, worth a try.

Patience wasn't the most appropriate/best word to use.

    ReplyDelete
  137. Why that is a very boring show?

    ReplyDelete
  138. So far neither fanbase has responded but it is very early in the voting.

    ReplyDelete
  139. Agent Carter is a much superior show!

    ReplyDelete
  140. Both episodes of Outlander plus The 100 for me today.

    ReplyDelete
  141. Both POIs and Arrow.

    ReplyDelete
  142. Well I suppose so yeah but then we would still have the exact same information as we have now, no? I mean, I don't mind that idea you are saying of the graphs showing how close or so they are but at the end of the day, then revealing the votes wouldn't really change or add much at all, in my opinion.

    ReplyDelete
  143. Hm... depends... for me it's quite the opposite to boring...

    ReplyDelete
  144. To you maybe. For me it's one of the most entertaining and thrilling shows I watch.

    ReplyDelete
  145. Outlander - The Wedding.
Outlander - To Ransom a Man's Soul (Chosen by coin flip)
The 100 - Blood must have blood part 2

    ReplyDelete
  146. The gap isn't large and they can totally catch up. I hope they don't, of course :P

    ReplyDelete
  147. Person Of Interest and Agent Carter (still impressed it went that far, I've nominated it and even I underestimated it xD).

  148. Hardest choice to make...

Person of interest x2. (YHWH and If-then-else)

  149. Castle and Agent Carter.

  150. Arrow. Can't vote the others.

  151. Finally, The 100 fandom is awake and Outlander/POI gap is closing... so far so good. :) I'll check back in a few hours... Nighty night everyone!

    ReplyDelete
  152. In order, Outlander, POI, POI and The 100 (sorry Agent Carter, next time).

    ReplyDelete
  153. Looks like this is it for me, voted Agent Carter, and Castle not looking good:(

    ReplyDelete
  154. Never could get into the 100 so that's why I voted agent Carter

    ReplyDelete
  155. Like seeing the voting totals as it goes along.

Voted for Outlander. Best show on television in every category. I especially love that it knows a strong female lead doesn't mean a weak male lead.

The gap is closing. I'm getting the word out.

  156. My votes:

I voted "Yes - Show them to me!" on that poll.

    1. Outlander - The Wedding (Sorry to Arrow)
    2. Outlander - To Ransom a Man's Soul (Sorry to Person of Interest)
    3. Castle - Hollander's Woods (Sorry to Person of Interest again)
    4. Agent Carter - Snafu

  157. arrow getting destroyed badly! I don't believe 2000 votes are all outlanders fan just hate arrow and hope it loses......we all know arrow is the best show on tv

    ReplyDelete
  158. nAh everything i liked it's gone now.

    ReplyDelete
  159. Person of Interest x2 & The 100

    ReplyDelete
  160. Nah, I won't go that far. Outlander has a very huge, and I mean HUGE, and passionate, online fandom, built over the last 20 plus years the books exist. Just compare the number of votes both episodes got. Almost equal. So no, no "hate votes" against Arrow.

    ReplyDelete
  161. Voted Outlander and The 100.

    ReplyDelete
  162. Person of interest twice
    Agent Carter.

    ReplyDelete
  163. Outlander, can´t choose, Castle, none...

    ReplyDelete
  164. I think it is great....I wasn't even around in previous rounds because I was on vacation, so I am very pleased that Agent Carter even managed to beat out The Flash.

    ReplyDelete
  165. Those outlander episodes are really good, too, so they got my votes.

    ReplyDelete
  166. I wouldn't bet on it. I wasn't convinced by the show either, I eventually did caught up and stick around and it was good for a while...and then I dropped it again. I guess it really depends on how much you like the main characters. I liked the side characters always better.

    ReplyDelete
  167. It's up against Outlander and not just any episode, but "The Wedding", one of the most important episodes in the show. I don't think it has anything to do with hatred considering that Outlander is the show which pushed Castle, the "win it all" show for multiple years, off it's throne last year.
Plus, The Flash was taken out by Agent Carter last round, and there is not hate against The Flash going around, is it?

    ReplyDelete
  168. I guess because the ratings were not that good, but I think a lot of people have caught up with the show by now. It will be interesting to see how it does when it comes back from hiatus.

    ReplyDelete
  169. Ratings don't typically correlate well with online popularity though. Some clear examples:
    - the two highest rated broadcast shows of the season, Empire and The Big Bang Theory, had no nominated episodes for the competition
    - Outlander and The 100 are two of the most popular shows on STV I believe and those have fractional, often 0.5 or lower ratings
    - The Walking Dead is not winning the competition - it was already eliminated - and no show comes close to its level of ratings
    - Person of Interest is probably taking it home and it was left out of CBS fall schedule and is probably getting canceled at the end of next season

I would love for Agent Carter to experience a severe increase in ratings next year but in reality I am not optimistic at all

    ReplyDelete
  170. And my two favourite episodes are pitted against each other.. I really, really loved 'Blood Must Have Bloot Part 2', but my vote went to 'Snafu'

    ReplyDelete
  171. Great summary.

I always like to use NCIS as an example over the years. 20 Million+ live viewers and barely a single nomination.

    ReplyDelete
  172. Yeah that one serves as a good example as well. To be honest, I am more surprised with the way some particular shows are popular online. Castle is probably the biggest example of that. It is a procedural and and old skewing show, two things that tend to mean little online presence, yet it is immensely popular online. It is not even at its peak now, but there was a time in here in which you could not beat Castle in any poll. I guess it is due to the shipping aspect of it all.

    ReplyDelete
  173. Agent Carter or The 100. Whom to vote for. Hmm...

    ReplyDelete
  174. The weird thing is that your vote could actually make the difference, they are insanely close!

    ReplyDelete
  175. Snafu will win! I mean I hope so.
Never thought Agent Carter would get this far.

    ReplyDelete
  176. Agent Carter like many other shows in this competition has a very dedicated fanbase, I haven't checked the Tumblr tags but for other polls like the Eonline Save One Show poll the fandom really rallied together. Still I am surprised to see it beat Arrow!

    Outlander (2x)
    POI
    Agent Carter

  178. Person Of Interest and The 100 for me.

    ReplyDelete
  179. How much time left before the poll closes? *glances nervously at Outlander's 41% compared to POI's 51%*

    ReplyDelete
  180. Just over 4.5 hrs to go. Closes at 22:00 GMT

    ReplyDelete
  181. I'll make sure to put in a countdown clock for the semis later today and the final tomorrow :)

    ReplyDelete
  182. I hadn't really noticed how big/dedicated the fanbase is. But as you say, it's still surprising to see it beat Arrow.

    ReplyDelete
  183. Anyway, if you hover over the episode titles once you're seeing results, you can see the total number of votes. 1.6k votes difference ;)

    ReplyDelete
  184. Don't you mean 6.5 hours?

    ReplyDelete
  185. Arrow (I dont watch Outlander), POI 2x and The 100
