Each day we will pick one submitted poll at random to post on the site.
I think it's supposed to mean, if you could write the schedule for one or more of the networks based on the pickups/renewals/cancellations so far, what would it be? I don't know if it's asking what you think would be the best way to get numbers up, or the one where your favorite shows all get great slots and the ones you don't like get stuck on Fridays, or if it's an either/or situation.
Or possibly it means "fantasy" in a broader sense, in which case, say hello to the new Monday night line-up on the CW - BtVS, followed by Veronica Mars, followed by The 100. It's badass blondes night!
I think it's asking what your ideal schedule is for any network using current shows, I think your supposed to ignore ratings. Like JTV and The 100 wouldn't go well together but if you liked both shows back to back you could have that as a lineup on The CW.
An ideal CW schedule for me would be (I'm not counting the five days as strong or as weak for the network, I'm just giving 5 duets that I would love to see):
1. Tales from the Dark Side/Supernatural
2. Arrow/Legends of Tomorrow
3. Flash/iZombie
4. The Originals/Cheerleader Death Squad
5. Arrow new spin-off (A.R.G.U.S related)/Supernatural spin-off (Hunters origins related or John Winchester)
Put then on any day and it would be fine by me. I would watch all 10.
I hate schedules with a passion, but here's a list of guarantees: - ABC continuing their Thursdays #TGIT lineup. - NBC and Fox continuing to have no bloody idea at all thanks to a lack decent shows and brains up top - CBS altering their schedule as little as possible
M - Voice - Game of Silence T - Voice - Superstore - Telenovela - Chicago Fire W - NPH Show - Undateable (Live) - Crowded - Chicago PD T - Law and Order SVU - Blacklist - Blindspot F - Heroes Reborn - Grimm - Dateline
Can launch Fridays later, so Heroes could slide in to replace a DOA show if necessary (then they have Mysteries of Laura on the bench that could come in Fridays)
I personally think CBS will change something on every night of the week. TBBT returns to Mondays, PoI moves away from Tuesdays, Criminal Minds either slides an hour later or the spinoff will premiere at 10 pm, Elementary moves away from Thursdays, either The Amazing Race is moved from Fridays or H50 is cancelled and lastly a (close to) syndication show moves into Sundays 10 pm slot.
Also You, Me and The End of the World will probably get the Fall Friday slot since it got the name change and it wouldnt get it if it isnt going to fall.
It's a limited series, so once the order is complete it would leave a hole on Thursdays and I don't see them wanted to risk the Blacklist Island situation happening again. Also, Heroes was originally for summer, so not that high profile in my opinion.
mon 8 - The Muppets (25 episodes from october 5th to april 25th) mon 8 30 - Dr. Ken (25 episodes from october 5th to april 25th) mon 9 - Black-ish (25 episodes from october 5th to april 25th) mon 9 30 - Fresh of the Boat (25 episodes from october 5th to april 25th)

CBS:
mon 8 - NCIS mon 9 - NCIS: New Orleans + NCIS: LA
tue 8 - The Big Bang Theory tue 8 30 - The Odd Couple + Mike & Molly tue 9 - Two Broke Girls tue 9 30 - Mom
wed 8 - The Good Wife + Person of Interest wed 9 - Blue Bloods + Rush Hour
This is crazy. Maybe this is how you would do it, but no way they're gonna do this. ABC: Where's Dancing with the stars? You don't have 10 pm shows. HTGAWM at Sunday?Too much for Friday. Modern family definitely stays at 9pm. CBS: Too much NCIS for one night. No way Tuesday comedy block is happening. I like that you put TGW & POI, but on Wednesday? CW: BATB is airing during the summer, maybe Reign too. 44 episodes for Crazy Ex-Girlfriend?
IDK if this counts, but I was really happy when The Flash and Supernatural were on the same night. Those are my two tv addictions and I loved having them (and the hot eye candy!) back to back. I would love if the CW paired them again
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I hate these types of "polls" and it's not really even a poll, it's an essay question.
ReplyDeleteI'm not exactly sure what this "poll" is asking.

you know what i really want? for ratings not to matter in renewal decisions
ReplyDeleteremember ARGUS is tied to the Suicide Squad and they took the Suicide Squad off the DC TV Universe so there won't ever be that
ReplyDeleteI don't have a full schedule but there are some line-ups I'd love (only including current shows)
ReplyDeleteOn ABC:
OUAT, GA & HTGAWM
S&L, AOS & AC
On CBS:
TBBT, 2BG, Scorpion & Limitless
Under the Dome, Extant, Zoo
On FOX:
Scream Queens, Lucifer, Sleepy Hollow
The Frankenstein Code, Minority Report
On NBC:
Emerald City, Game of Silence
On CW:
Cordon, The 100
I hate schedules with a passion, but here's a list of guarantees:
ReplyDelete- ABC continuing their Thursdays #TGIT lineup.
- NBC and Fox continuing to have no bloody idea at all thanks to a lack decent shows and brains up top
- CBS altering their schedule as little as possible
NBC:
ReplyDeleteM - Voice - Game of Silence
T - Voice - Superstore - Telenovela - Chicago Fire
W - NPH Show - Undateable (Live) - Crowded - Chicago PD

F - Heroes Reborn - Grimm - Dateline

ReplyDeleteHowever, the other two are likely to happen.
This thing is not nearly as much fun as a poll IMO :-(
ReplyDeleteWhat do you think NBC will do ?
ReplyDeleteI'd like to see:
Monday
8pm: The Voice/ Apprentice/ Endgame
10pm: Endgame/ Heartbreaker/ Endgame
Tuesday:
8pm: The Voice

9:30pm: Superstore
10pm: Shades of Blue/ Chicago Med
Wednesday:

10pm: Dateline
Telenovela and Apocalypse Slough changed names to Hot & Bothered and You, Me and The End of the World respectively.
ReplyDeleteIs this fantasy schedule should be for one day or the whole and should be what I would like to be or the best one for the network?
ReplyDeleteMy fantasy schedule for The CW is:
ReplyDeleteM - Crazy Ex-Girfriend, JTV
T - The Flash, The 100,
W - Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow
T - TVD, The Originals
F - Supernatural, iZombie
Mid-season: New Show replacing The 100, Reign replacing iZombie
Summer: BATB, Hart of Dixie,
FOX

ReplyDeleteWow, Hot & Bothered is just a terrible name change.
ReplyDeleteAlso You, Me and The End of the World will probably get the Fall Friday slot since it got the name change and it wouldnt get it if it isnt going to fall.
ReplyDeleteJust hoping that they won't move NCIS:LA to friday, just seems like killer for the show.
ReplyDeleteNo way they launch a high profile show such as Heroes Reborn on Fridays. I am betting on it being used to better Thursdays.
ReplyDeleteBabar, NBC has released a bunch of pics for the new shows.
ReplyDeleteYes, I saw the submission. Should be live on the site in about a minute.
ReplyDeleteFall schedule predictions.
ReplyDeleteWhen do we actually find out the schedulings? btw so happy agent carter, aos, and ouat got renewed :D
ReplyDeleteIt's a limited series, so once the order is complete it would leave a hole on Thursdays and I don't see them wanted to risk the Blacklist Island situation happening again. Also, Heroes was originally for summer, so not that high profile in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteWe should have NBC schedule in 1 hour
ReplyDeleteA netflix type of schedule....
ReplyDeleteI just wish The Messengers was on every other night except for Friday
ReplyDeleteAnd then it was moved to fall, because it is too high profile for summer.
ReplyDeleteNBC: Today
ReplyDeleteThe rest: the day of their upfronts.
Or... it was moved because it wasn't ready in time.
ReplyDeleteThey started production in early April so it could have easily been ready for June/July.
ReplyDeleteLegends of Tommorow are going to air in mid-season.
ReplyDeleteJust any schedule is fine. I'm just curious to see
ReplyDeleteI've had this schedule for NBC for a long time and considering the pilots I chose on the schedule got ordered, I am sticking by it:

Friday - Jane the Virgin, The Originals (or Supernatural)
crazy
Mid-season - Legends of Tommorow (on Tuesday 9PM, Cordon to replace The 100)
Summer - Reign
Your Friday could very well rate higher than your Monday and Thursday
ReplyDeleteI don't think so (and I don't hope so either!). The show has been moved this past season and CBS usually doesn't move one show two seasons in a row.
ReplyDeleteABC

ReplyDeleteWelcome to why they're awesome.

This is crazy. Maybe this is how you would do it, but no way they're gonna do this.
ReplyDeleteABC: Where's Dancing with the stars? You don't have 10 pm shows. HTGAWM at Sunday?Too much for Friday. Modern family definitely stays at 9pm.
CBS: Too much NCIS for one night. No way Tuesday comedy block is happening. I like that you put TGW & POI, but on Wednesday?
CW: BATB is airing during the summer, maybe Reign too. 44 episodes for Crazy Ex-Girlfriend?
I was less focusing on the actual timeslots but a way to get more episodes out of each season.
ReplyDeleteCrazy Ex-Girlfriend: double episodes (half hour comedy)
More episodes = less quality.
ReplyDeleteIDK if this counts, but I was really happy when The Flash and Supernatural were on the same night. Those are my two tv addictions and I loved having them (and the hot eye candy!) back to back. I would love if the CW paired them again
ReplyDeleteIt's really stupid poll.
ReplyDelete
