Search for another home but play it safe. There is no guarantee at all of getting another season on CBS or elsewhere, to play hardball and leave it on a cliffhanger which may never get resolved is unfair to the fans. WB and Bad Robot should be actively seeking a new home ASAP really, find out if anyone would be interested.
Polls are taking a nose dive. I submitted two polls awhile ago now about the worst actors/actresses on tv and they still haven't come up. The divisiveness and arguements would be awesome.
We won't get a full season 5 and I'd be ok with it if there was any chance for another season on CBS or somewhere else. Season 6 could also be 13 episodes, that should be enough to wrap up the storyline and to maybe bring Shaw back. Really miss that little firecracker! I never wanted this show to go on forever, but only 13 more episodes would suck.

There's many people that are extremely interested in what the people in charge ARE going to do about next season's POI and beyond, so this can be an interesting discussion.
Two full seasons. I believe that there are more stories to tell than just Samaritan. Even with Samaritan, they can tell two full seasons worth of stories from there alone.
Considering that it's the network deciding the fate of POI and not the showrunner's, their only option is to make the most of the 13 episodes that they were given and hope for the best. I'm a huge fan of this show and the showrunner's have stated that they would continue on for several seasons. Clearly the network people are not as confident or they would have given a full season order.
I just hope that if the network chooses to cancel POI after these measly 13 episodes, that they give them enough time to close out the series properly. It's damn hard for shows to get picked up on another network once they are cancelled and having a huge cliffhanger ending would piss me off to no end. Considering that the ratings aren't the greatest and POI is a bubble show, most networks wouldn't even give it a second glance.
Here's hoping that the upcoming season continues to be strong and that we get to see Shaw again. I think I'll be heartbroken if Sarah Shahi doesn't come back to play just a little.

Full season and another one. As much as i would to say that the producer would be moronic to be believe cbs would ever give them that. Ratings just dont justify it. Take the 13 episodes and make it a damn good finale. That is simply all they can do
Full Order Season 5. Short Order Season 6. And Maybe a Person of Interest: The Movie. Directed by Christopher Nolan or Johnathan Nolan since it's really his creation. Written by Johnathan Nolan and Greg Plageman. Movie Length: 2 hours 30 minutes.
It seems fairly clear that CBS does not intend to give POI a full 22 episode season ever again. Just be happy with the 13 episodes and hope that Nolan can wrap it up successfully. I predict POI will follow the exact same path that The Mentalist did...midseason replacement then cancellation.
I don't understand why we can't have more - yes, I'm being greedy, but NCIS and the likes are on Season 12 and it's the same stuff, rehashed - over and over. There is something a little more unique about POI and I personally feel that it's just getting warmed up. Okay, some people might say that season four wasn't great to start with and killing off Carter seems to have taken away some of the show's pizazz and oomph, but there are plenty of other characters that can be brought in to prop up the perceived weaknesses that are making people turn over. That combined with a better time-slot would help to get rating back to where they deserve to be. I think there are many stories left to run on this show and personally, I'd prefer to watch this than pretty much anything else on TV. I know it's the last thing left to watch on CBS right now and I simply cannot take another reality show...yawn!
I submitted a poll once last year, it didn't pop up for 6 weeks... by the time they posted it the relevance of it had simmered off. So its not just your poll that's taking its time getting posted.

Why not two short seasons?

ReplyDeleteAt most, try to get a few extra episodes. Anything more is delusional and will screw over fans royally. Use this as a chance to end it properly.
