  1. As I officially finished the 100 yesterday I can now comment, yay.

Raven is pretty under-appreciated, there is always more need for Raven. Monty as well. Maybe I just like the techies. And Wick! More Wick in S3 please.

Indra as well, she is amazing, I want more of her back-story and I hope she will mentor Octavia again and we can have Lincoln/Octavia/Indra teaming up.

  2. Well it was Finn, but as he came to an unfortunate end, I think I'd have to go with Monty

  3. Octavia needs more screen time. She's a kick butt warrior with common sense and that needs to be celebrated more. Monty is always being overshadowed by the totally overrated Jasper. Wick seems to have some valuable skills so I expect him to make the inner circle in season 3. Lincoln, being the best tie to the grounders and their back story, really needs to be made better use of. He has information that the viewers should already be privvy to. We have been shortchanged on the grounder story for too long. Indra is in a similar state. She could be an even more powerful character so I hope she gets more screen time next season too. Not on the list, I would say Kane. He had an important role in season 1 and while he still has a big job, he got shafted for screen time in season 2. Being the only person advocating for peace these days, he has to take Finn's place as the voice of decency in the camp. Here's hoping his role is expanded.

Vote - Octavia and other (Kane)

  4. I don't think any are underappreciated, just underused, Monty, Jasper, Raven, Wick & Miller come to mind.

  5. I voted Monty, because I think he gets the least screentime among main characters. I'd love to learn more about his past and I'd love to see him more and being more important. He's such a cute and lovely character. Also, Finn was always under-appreciated.

  6. From the whole cast I would say Bellamy but from the list above I would defs say Raven.

  7. Raven & Octavia.

  8. This is hard to answer. They're all appreciated, there just isn't enough of most onscreen. They all have skills everyone respects and has need for.

We need more screen time for:
    Kane
    Octavia
    Lincoln
    Wick
    Monty
    Jackson

    Less:
    Jasper

  9. I would love to learn more about Indra and Lincoln's childhood! At one moment I thought that she might be his mother.

  10. I need to know what "underappreciated" means in this context? Not enough screen time? Not enough love from the audience?
If it's the first one, I think Monty (by far) and Raven.
But if it's the second one, I'd switch Raven for Murphy

  11. Needs more screen time: Monty, Kane, Lincoln, Abby and Indra.

Most underappreciated by the audience (unjustly, IMO): Abby and Indra.

  12. Kane. In my humble opinion.

  13. I just really need them to finally give Monty his own freaking story line. He's been such a background character and is still very beloved by the fandom. I am still bitter that they didn't give part of Jasper's arc to him. He was just their tech support and I hope they do more with him in S3.

Then Raven has been pretty ignored in S2. At the beginning she had something but in the second half of the season she was just kind of.... there.

Honorable mention to Lincoln, who I think is a great character, but his addiction arc was kind of resolved... quickly. I really want him and Clarke to share more scenes, too.

  14. I voted for the two that I want more screen time for, Octavia and Lincoln. Both characters are brilliantly portrayed and don't get enough screen time or appreciation. Well in my opinion anyway.

  15. Raven and Monty for me. raven has been benched (character development wise) since the first season. it's time for her to kick ass. as well as monty. while the cast is already pretty diverse, we need a strong asian lead in the show. and yes, i know bellamy is half asian (half filipino/australian)

Clarke, Bellamy, Octavia, Jasper, Murphy and Lincoln has all progressed faster than the 2.

among the elders, i think they are all pretty good on character development. i love all of them especially indra. i wonder if she'll be back though. we don't know where clarke is going or if the grounders will still be in it. probably if clarke goes to polis.

  17. Monty. All the otehrs receive enough love.

  18. Under- appreciated by audience: Jasper (from list), Abby and Jaha off the list. Just from what I've seen these three are probably the least popular characters, but I think this season especially both Jaha & Jasper were given interesting storylines that seemed to always get hate from fans. Clarke's my favorite character so I myself found Abby to be frustrating at times, but Paige Turco is just too good to not be appreciated plus.. as annoying as it was, if Abby wasn't concerned for Clarke I would be even more concerned on her parenting haha. In terms of development I was most disappointed with Bellamy,Raven, and Monty this season. There wasn't any clear arc for any of them except maybe Raven (and I've always had a hard time connecting with her) and even I was disappointed with her storyline. More screentime I would say for Lincoln & Kane. They both had important stories this season, but I feel like we barely saw it. I am more than fine with Clarke,Octavia,&Bellamy being the only characters in every episode and I understand contracting dictates who's in what but I think in general the show needs to develop more of their main cast before recurring and guest characters for next season. Just a better balance.

  19. I don't hate Jasper. I just find him uninteresting. I'd much rather have had Mount Weather from Miller's point of view and I did hate him in S1.
Totally agree with you on developing the main cast. They have a lot of potential.

  20. I mean yeah I understand if someone just doesn't like the way a characters written or something, but with what Devon was given I thought he did great. I love Miller, but who knows about Jarod's acting chops(he isn't even a regular) or Chris's for that matter.. That's obviously just speculation and we don't really know because they aren't given a lot of screentime, but maybe Jasper's storyline took off because Devon is the better actor. I don't know lol. Either way.. they could've balanced Mt.Weather a little better a long with some things at camp jaha. I'm pretty hopeful for s3 though with Clarke obviously having her own arc early on that leaves up less interaction with her & the others. And more for the others back at camp.. or so i think haha.

  21. Murphy.
I don't understand the standard of this because I think Octavia is appreciated enough.

  22. Kane, I think he grew so much as a character, he's now one of my favorites !

  23. Going by the series regulars, the obvious is Monty. Because I still do a double take when I see Christopher Larkin's name appear in the credits. I'm struggling to recall any point where he was essential to a storyline.
I would also say Octavia, in some ways. While I think she's had a brilliant journey across the two seasons, I feel like a lot of her development was slightly rushed and occurred off screen. I feel like more could have been shown in regards to her actual training with Indra and the other Grounders. She had some great moments proving herself, and when she took out those guards in the finale it was pretty kickass, but we barely saw any of her training. And being accepted as a Grounder only to be rejected would have carried more weight if we'd seen more of her bonding with Indra. She's still had a great development, and enough was shown for these moments to not feel completely out of the blue. But I feel like there was a lot of missed opportunities, where her involvement with the grounders is concerned. But she's nowhere near Monty level of under-appreciation, so I can't be too mad about it.

  24. So, Miller isn't listed as an option despite playing a significant role in the Mt. Weather plot in season 2, but Wick is when he's been in like 4 episodes?
Also, why are Octavia, Jasper and Murphy even on there when they've had huge story arcs and character development in at least one season and have been constantly praised by the writers? They aren't underappreciated in any sense of the word.

  25. I have to disagree about Octavia. For me, I could even have less of her. Yes, she's a warrior but she has identity issues. One moment she wants to be one of the grounders, the next she says her loyalties lie with the sky people. She needs to make up her damn mind about it. Also, yeah, she's pretty fast to criticize Clarke's actions and ideas, but never has any suggestions of her own how things should be done. Unlike her brother who completely understood why Clarke did what she did, even if he didn't like it. I would say Octavia is a little overrated.

Of course the most overrated one for me is Lexa, but that's not what this poll is about (hey, maybe we should have one about overrated ones as well?)

Completely agree about Monty, but Kane wins it for me. He's the most reasonable guy out there, a perfect balance between Jaha, Abby and Clarke. Can't wait to see more of him in season 3, I'm also very curious about his new relationship with Bellamy.

So I voted Other - Marcus Kane.

Raven under-appreciated? I would say she's the third most celebrated character after Clarke and Bellamy.

  26. Monty I haven't seen a lot of him and raven she is bad-ass smart and strong I need more of her too
