I've been waiting for Complications for almost a year now. It seems like a fun idea if they do it right. Maybe this Jason O'Mara show will stick. He hasn't had the best luck so far.
Tried to keep an open mind during the Mr. Robot trailer but still no interest. Slater is another guy just waiting for the right TV project to come along. I don't think this is it.
Although Complications looks interesting, I don't see how this is going to go multiple seasons. Is this going to be a short season 8-13 eps or the full network 20+ eps?
I had to google Judy Greer as I was unfamiliar with her name or works. But yes, Ms Glau has an unfortunate reputation. I am surprised that she hasn't been picked up by one of the many superhero shows that are popping up all over the place.
She does and I completely agree about the superhero shows. I think that networks take it a challenge to be the first to employ this actor in the long term (after all George Clooney was a showkiller at one point), but it rarely happens.
So basically Complications for all intents and purposes pushed Satisfaction to the Fall. I saw that they barely started production of Satisfaction a month ago and only have a handful of episodes in the can.
Mr Robot, its always hard to get hacking right, Hollywood hacking is over so cheesy and add in conspiracy theories and its a tough combination but this doesn't look too bad.
Late to the party but: - Complications: I really like Jason O'Mara and it is sad that he can't seem to find the right vehicle (I still miss the underrated Terra Nova), but this show is not for me. I don't really have the patience for gang and mob stuff, not my cup of tea at all - Mr. Robot: On a first glance, it doesn't look bad but it also doesn't look like something for which I would risk getting invested and then cancelled. My track record with USA has been bad lately, I only like Suits from what's left over there, so I am not sure. I will check ratings and then maybe I will watch it. It could be good if done well.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

Looking forward to both shows.
ReplyDeleteMr Robot- most anticipated new summer show for me.
ReplyDeleteComplications- Like Brice F, been waiting for this for a while.
Complications looks really good. I'll give it a chance.

ReplyDeletePretty sure season 1 is 10 episodes. Suits is the only current USA drama doing more than 13 episodes with 16 episode seasons.
ReplyDeleteThe same people who cast Summer Glau or Judy Greer in anything. If you see her anywhere, it's gone in 13 episode.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the response. I stopped watching USA shows as like Psych, White Collar and Royal Pains after the 1st seasons as they sucked.

ReplyDeleteMr. ROBOT looks good.
ReplyDeleteWhere's Colony?
ReplyDeleteAccording to the Deadline live blog of the USA upfront, they showed a trailer for Colony. Air date to be determined.
ReplyDeleteArrow broke the Summer Glau curse :P
ReplyDeleteUmm, was Summer on Arrow? Don't think that's broken. Also on Firefly, & yes, technically cancelled but still a fan favorite show.
ReplyDeleteOh nice, thanks!
ReplyDeleteI'd almost forgotten about Complications. Looks like it could be interesting.
ReplyDeleteStill can't muster up any interest for Mr.Robot. I think I should call it a total pass and just not even bother.

ReplyDeleteNever really cared for Complications, even though I like both Jessica Szohr and Jason O'Mara, but it's now definitely on my watchlist! Great promo!
ReplyDeleteWell Complications is aptly named!
