Undateable - Season 3 - Would Consist Entirely of Live Episodes

I hear NBC is in discussions with the producers of the multi-camera sophomore comedy about doing a third season consisting entirely of live episodes, as many as 22 of them.

  2. That would be so interesting!
I think the cast is absolutely perfect to do live shows!!

  3. Would implies that it will happen if renewed.

  4. Gross. I hate live episodes. Always, always have.

  5. No... I would not watch that. That live episode was painful and only gets a pass the one time.

This sounds like a problem waiting to happen.
1 or 2 Live episodes sure, but with 22 they're risking a big mistake happening live.

  7. Perhaps that is a part of the fun?

  8. Yup.
I get them making a deal where they do one Live hour per season, but a whole season? That's a disaster waiting to happen. A lot of what went down last week was just awkward funny... not funny funny and that will get old fast!

  9. I meant that the live thing might not happen since that are still in discussions with the producers.

  10. Yes plz. I want this to happen. It would be so much fun.

  11. That's actually a really good idea. Their live episode was the best episode of the season.

  12. Damn imagine if there's a wardrobe malfunction or someone curses lol. Omg i need to watch this show now lol.

  13. Maybe once a month? 22 seems unsustainable!

  14. Omg I was just thinking that the whole series should be live, though it basically means it would be too expensive to keep otherwise

  15. That's likely the thought process of it. The anything can happen angle is addictive.

  16. That would be kind of crazy if it happened, but definitely different.

  17. Agreed. Of the series also. This show worked in a live format.

  18. WTAF?? That would be so crazy, but also so amazing!

  19. It should say 'Could'.

  20. Poor actors. It's like learning a play every single week. It's not going to be easy. And tbh I don't think it's gonna work or that it is even possible; I would rather have like 2-4 live episodes every season...

  21. Variety is reporting Undateable is renewed for season 3.

  22. 22 means a full season with 22 episodes ou 11 episodes each coast?

  23. How was the live episode the other night?

I've never watched Undateable -- the promos always look really corny and kind of unfunny. Despite that, I'm a fan of most of the cast members. I keep contemplating adding it to my list of shows to watch.

  24. Or a big Question Mark at the end of the headline.

  25. This could be fantastic.

  26. Tbh I watched a couple of S1 eps and liked it, but not enough. Then when Bridgit Mendler was cast I decided to watch S2, which I liked just a little better (her character wasn't that good at the start either.,.) but then the live episode came and it was GREAT. I hope the quality keeps rising...

  27. Would I be able to fully enjoy the live episodes without the context of the full series? I'm tempted to pull it up on VOD.

  28. Didn't watch the show, but couple of days ago I saw it live on Periscope.

I think you can just jump right in. There's not really much of a ongoing storyline. Watch both versions cause they are slightly different.
