See?? Now THAT'S how you apologize to someone once you get your humanity back....ELENA! And she really does NOT need to be apologizing to you. She's just a bigger person that's all. And what??? "I've wanted to become human the day I became a vampire" Could that be more bullshit??? Unbelievable. Ugh. Caroline you were deeply missed.
LOL Elena is the MAIN character of the show ! even if she go caroline will NEVER be the female lead, so if you don't care avout elena storyline just don't watch the show anymore
Why?There are much more interesting characters for me to watch-Caroline,Bonnie,Damon.Elena's SL is coming to an close and Caroline WILL take the centre stage. If you can't deal with this fact, that's not my problem.
I know. I thought Elena was okay being immortal cause she could be with Damon forever. Remember when Stefan gave her the cure in season 4 finale and she turned it down. She finally accepted being a vampire until out of the blue when Jo got pregnant. smh
I am not going to watch season 7 like a lot a people and for me it's a shame that julie plec continue the show without the MAIN character ! i hope season 7 will be a FLOP and Caroline will never be the centre stage like elena and she will appear in just 17 épisodes next season !
So will the rest of the cast except Paul & Ian(As per Julie's tweet). It's the SL that matters.Matt was in as many episodes as any others,i don't remember him having any major arc this season,so number of episodes doesn't really matter. For me,I have always had a problem that show placed too much emphasis on Delena romance melodrama rather than the main SL and individual character development. So,for me,Elena leaving is a gift. As for the ratings,Season 7 is most probably going to be it's final season,so it doesn't matter how bad it does.Creatively speaking,it won't suffer a bit.Too bad you don't feel the same way!
I cringe at the slightest mention of Elena "always wanting to become human". Downright out of the blue and basically contradicting season 4 finale and therefore season 5 as a whole...They had a full season to find a way to write Elena off and this is what they come up with? Yeah, no...not buying it...not liking it... And Caroline's back...Ok i guess.
I get that Elena might still want to be human at her core, because her rejection of the cure in S4 was about not putting the town at risk from the hunters, she actually said that wanted it but couldn't take it. Her main goal all season was to take that damn cure. I got the feeling that she resigned herself to staying a vamp, rather than choosing it, and Damon was a large part of her acceptance. Elena was selfless in giving it to Stefan, because she had Damon, and Stefan had lost everything else at that point. I believe if there had been more than one cure, she would've taken it for sure. However, where the story falls apart is that it wasn't mentioned at all in S5.or S6. We never got one sentence from Elena lamenting her human status, in fact we saw the opposite, which is why it feels so out of nowhere to hear this right now, not mention forced, but hey!
She wanted to be human for all of Season 4 - she hated being a vampire then but didn't seem to mind it in Season 5/6, so I wish they had just cured her back at the end of Season4 instead of now.
I wouldn't have wanted her t be killed off. I still don't. But for them to do this, it's completely unbelievable. Nothing, As far as Elena's exit is concerned, makes sense. Nothing. It's all very contrived for her SL. And iI knew that the moment Bonnie brought that cure back then two days later announcing her exit. Smh.
At this point, iI just want her to say her "epic goodbyes" to everyone and get the hell out of MF. I have other characters to worry about. You want that "Apple pie life" so badly, then you go start it somewhere else.
I get that deep down Elena always wanted to be human again. What I don't get is why Damon would not only let this happen, but also take away his power to protect her. His whole reason for being is to keep Elena alive. So she's now a human doppelgänger. Target for all supernaturals. I hope Stefan explores this in his convincing Damon to stay vamp. As much as I want delena to stay together, was this the way to do it? Stefan has a point...,
From what you said you love Elena and hate Caroline, but I can't figure out why you're angry at Julie Plec. Maybe you should be angry at Nina Dobrev for leaving? The fact is that there would be no Season 7 if The CW hadn't renewed TVD, no matter what Julie wanted. The network showed faith in the show going forward without Elena. The show is not called "Elena's Diaries", and it's very rare that a show can't survive if one actor leaves. There are plenty of other talented people still with the show, and I'm sorry you're going to miss Season 7. It may be the last season, but it just might be the best one.
When Klaus finds out Elena is human again, he can make more hybrids of his own and have his own army to protect HOPE. LOL They are gonna have to think of someway to keep Elena safe.
What? Are you kidding me?? No she did not. Everybody else, especially Stefan wanted her to go back to being human. SHE was upset that no one was accepting her for her vampire self EXCEPT DAMON. Her only issue was the feeding b/c of the SB. Once she was able to feed from blood bags, she had no problem adjusting to vamperism. She missed being human, yes, but she never talked about it on a constant level. Everybody else did. Jeremy wanted to kill her, Stefan couldn't accept her, Matt felt guilty about her turning, She was scolded by Bonnie and Caroline, it was Total chaos everywhere she looked. She embraced her vamperism with Damon, she had fun, and she felt good about herself. AND she said her self she "NEVER felt more alive." Do you not remember all this?? It was when the cure was introduced and they went looking for it, did she think of turning human. BUT she wanted to do it with Damon, then she found out there was only one and she didn't want to take it. She felt she didn't deserve it or w/e and She gave it to Stefan. He gave it back to her and she shoved it down Katherine's throat.
Idk what show you were watching, but she never hated being a vampire. She had trouble in the beginning, b/c of everything that was going on around her, but she embraced her vamperism early on. And dealt with it. And she was completely fine 100% by season 5. Sooo there was no "she didn't seem to mind" NO she didn't mind at all. She was completely comfortable in her own skin and sure as hell wasn't thinking about being human.
IMO Elena offered the cure to Stefan because he was the one who had the worst time being a vampire. Not to be nice, or unselfish, and NEVER out of guilt for falling in love with Damon. Elena felt he should have it because it was so hard for him to control his blood lust and when he couldn't he suffered terribly. I remember very well that before Klaus intended to sacrifice Elena she told Stefan she didn't want to be a vampire. But after she actually became one she adjusted once she could drink from blood bags. She never said she liked or disliked it until Nina decided to leave. To hear her say she wanted to become human since Day 1 is absolutely unbelievable. TPTB must think we all have dementia and don't remember the past 5 1/2 seasons.
Yes, Yes, Yes to everything you said! BTW, Elena offered the cure to Stefan because he suffered so much trying to control his blood lust so she felt he needed it the most. And also I think because Damon had made it plain he didn't want to be human again, which was really weird because he desperately wanted to in Season 2! But there was only one dose back then so I thought he only said it because he wanted Elena to have the chance to take it if she wanted it. She obviously didn't. I think Bruce F said, if the writers don't remember it, it never happened. That's the way I feel watching Elena say she always wanted to be human again!
Oh, and how come you're not avoiding us? Not that I'm not glad to read your comments!
Easy, girl! Actually you may have seen my comments saying I think Elena should die. Not to be mean, but because I don't want the show holding out hope she might return at some point. Closure, you know? She's gone and now they have to pick up the pieces. But I doubt she'll die because maybe TPTB want to leave things open-ended in case Nina would agree to return in the series finale. I'll believe that when I see it! Nina back on the TVD set after all that's gone before? Don't think so. And all this twisting the truth of the past is killing me too.
I too don't want to see Caroline as the lead even if Elena is gone. but I think I'm gonna wait until the finale before I decide whether I'm going to watch next season
THIS^^ OMG! YES!!!! WTF! I don't understand how some are trying to justify Elena's words right now. Yes she never wanted to be a vampire when she was human, BUT that was BEFORE she became one! Once she became one, she had fun, and she definitely wasn't thinking about going back to being human. Missed it sure, when everyone kept bringing up the cure, in season 4. Before the end of season 4 she was good. I'll say middle towards the end she was good. What Elena is saying right now is so OFF THE CHARTS, UNBELIEVABLY RIDICULOUS, that it makes no sense whatsoever, I can't believe people are trying to twist this to fit what she's saying right now. And it's SO CLEAR that she's saying all this because Nina is exiting the show. If she wasn't leaving the show i guarentee, I'd bet my life on it, that this wouldn't be an issue right now. THIS SHOULDN'T BE AN ISSUE NOW, this is all bullshit!!
I know, but it does make sense that with Damon gone that Elena would feel that way about vampirism. I think I might of even fangirled about that line at the time, that she could only envision forever, if it was with Damon. As it stands at the moment, she only took the cure because Damon promised to take it with her, before that, she refused it again.
I totally Agree, not just klaus but anyone trying to get to klaus. And imagine how many enemies Damons made over the years? Part of Stefan's picture given to Damon next episode, I'd bet, is going to revolve around having to move around a lot to protect them.
I left for a bit, but i'I'm here now. I just read your comment up top and agreed with everything you just freaking said. Smh Yeah I remember why she gave it to Stefan. (I read that up top too). Damon wanted to be human in season 2. (That's what his whole conversation was about with Elena in season 4) But he got over it. I think the only reason at the time he truly missed being human was because of Rose. She got to him, and he missed it. But as time went on, (with all the crap they dealt with) he didn't want that anymore. I never felt that he said what he said so that Elena could take it. Or have the chance to take it. Because at the time they didn't even know that there was only on cure. When she proposed that to him. I always felt that during that time, Damon genuinely did not want to become human.
If you're waiting for Sara, she'll be back. She's not avoiding. But i'm not gonna get into it with her, i'm not in the mood for her, and we barely agree. So when she comes back, you have fun with that.
Exactly, she never said she liked or didn't like it, so really we can't know for sure. But thinking back to even her happiest moments, for example in 4.08 when she drank a blood bag for the 1st time. Yes, she was excited that she didn't have to drink from people and loved her little dance a thon with the girls, it doesn't mean that those good moments Made up for what she lost, it just means she was finding the good parts and accepting who she now was and couldn't change. Or maybe she was ok with it, we don't know she never said from that point on, except to talk about being human with Damon in 4.13. If she didn't want to be human again, why talk about it at all? I can't give an example from s5 cause let's face it,, I didn't understand most of s5, but again, little indication that she loved vamperism.
As for giving the cure to Stefan, it was a gesture of good faith out of guilt and wanting to save the day. It was not nessessity that Stefan be human at that point, he was starting to get his blood lust in control and his humanity was never more in check at that point. If anything, Elena was having a much worse time at that point and would have benefited from it more. She gave it to him, I think, out onligation, because he had a hard time with vamperism and would really benefit from having it. Not that it was a bad move considering Stefan's ripper side, but doesn't prove Elena didn't want it.
Nooo, I've never wanted that for her. I've never hated Elena, she's pissed me off A LOT, but as far as her being killed off, that's something I never wanted. I'm actually very upset that Nina's leaving. Or I Was. But i accepted it, ya know? I was more upset about the way she went about revealing it more than anything else. But there were things I wanted to see happen for her in season 7. I WANT her to return in season 7. At least for the series finale. She does that, i get my closure, her dying, to fit her exit, i wouldn't like that at all. I'd be seriously pissed about that. But the way things are going now, every scene she has, everything that comes out of her mouth, i just can't. I just want it to be over. I want her to go. I NEED her to go, before she keeps making it worse. Last week was the first time i was truly able to enjoy her since she got her memories taken away. And it was the first time i was able to enjoy her since Nina announced her exit. I'd love to keep enjoying her til she left, but the way TPTB, are going about it...i don't think I can.
I hear you. But Damon's scene in "The Descent" in Season 2 made such a huge impression on me (maybe because I've watched it so many times I've lost count?) because I felt it was from his heart, not just a temporary feeling because of Rose. When people are really smashed they tend to tell the truth because their inhibitions are lowered: "I have a secret. A big secret and I've never told anyone. What's the point? It's not going to make me good. It's not going to make me want to adopt a puppy...the point is Jessica, I'm not human. And I miss it every single day". Maybe if the wording had been different...but as it stands I'll never be able to get past that. I'm really curious what words the writers are going to put in his mouth in these last two episodes.
Actually, the first time Elena drank from a blood bag she threw up - all that siring stuff, remember? But I know you meant that once Damon told her she could drink from a blood bag, she could, and she was good with that. And it's true that vampirism has a bad side as well as good. It wasn't until the Cure came into play in Season 4, and then was dragged out again this season because TPTB decided it would be a good way to lead up to Nina's exit, that she thought about becoming human because it seemed a real possibility.
But I'm sticking with my original reason for Elena offering the cure to Stefan. Even when he's not actively being a Ripper it's still inside him and always will be. You agree with me at the end of your comment, anyway. And if, as you say, Elena's offering the cure to Stefan didn't prove she didn't actually want it for herself, then I have to say it didn't prove she did want it, either.
Who would even want to envision "forever" if you weren't with the one you love to give that "forever" meaning? She didn't want to take the cure because she didn't want to lose Damon. Damon was afraid if she took the cure HE would lose HER. This is giving me a headache. I feel as though the same thoughts are being repeated over and over again with different words. I agree Elena wants Damon. Even I want Damon. But it's questionable, knowing TVD and the fact that Nina won't be around next season, or probably ever, whether she'll get him. What's your guess?
I get it. I just mean that I want it to be a good season, for the fans. Otherwise it sounds like "it doesn't matter what we do, we've been renewed". And having the same writers doesn't exactly make me feel good. Their creativity has left a lot to be desired at times
I'm not expecting any magical ratings spikes either. The fan backlash after Nina's exit might even lower the ratings, but not for long, hopefully. New and fresher story lines would breathe new life into the show (pun intended). That's what I want - desperately. If TVD has to go out after season 7, I want it to be with a bang, not a whimper.
I feel bad that you wanted things to happen for Elena in Season 7 and so you wanted her to return for that season! Oh Nina, do you have any idea what you've doing to us? I hate to agree, but I also feel I want things to be over. I've never felt that way about a TVD season before, and there have been a lot of good things in this season. Maybe the writers will stun us with a finale we could not possibly have envisioned and that will feel good and right. Maybe there's a saint to pray to for that, because I think only divine intervention is going to pull this ending off without my screaming at the TV.
I actually feel some pity - but not much - for the writers who have to produce this crap. They don't have free rein over what they can write, they have to follow a path that's already been set out for them. They have to get to a certain predetermined ending. And you're totally right - most of the words we're hearing would never have been written unless Nina was leaving. But even she has no control over the scripts so I can't blame them on her. What we're getting has no basis in what we know to be reality because we have been watching this show for almost 6 freaking years and we REMEMBER WHAT HAPPENED during those years!
"I also feel I want things to be over. I've never felt that way about a TVD season before." Neither have I. Not when it came to a season. I've never wanted to get to a season finale so badly in this series as this is still my favorite show.
I don't mean her death. I mean her presence altogether. He had this feeling over time. And after he had to get rid of her, that's when he finally let it out. But it was temporary. I'm sorry you don't see it or can't get past it. I hope you haven't been waiting all this time for him to bring that back up again? If you have...wow. I feel bad for you. = (
Vampires are supposedly still the people they were before they were turned, only more so. Remember the oft-repeated "Everything is heightened"? And those hidden tendencies the human had come out in the open (Damon the serial killer, Stefan the Ripper) because it's easier to say there are no longer any rules that have to be followed. Elena, when she kept her humanity on, wasn't a bad person/vampire. But I agree that she seemed different to me too; who wouldn't change in some ways after such a major change in their life? This is even more obvious now that she's human again.
I'm also glad to have "Vampire Barbie" back. As a human she was shallow, although she could be endearing at times; as a vampire she straightened out and became a far better and more mature person than she was as a human. When she turned her humanity off she was manic, and like nails scraping on a chalkboard. Please don't ever go there again, Caro; I couldn't take much more of you like that.
Yeah, but I said the writers - excluding Caroline Dries - not TPTB. The writers are captive to TPTB if they want to work. But yeah, let's just get it over so we can (hopefully) move on to better story lines.
Thank you, you're so sweet! It's OK, don't feel bad for me. It's a TV show after all! It's just that I have felt so strongly about it for so long. Rose told Damon she missed being human and I thought that brought it all up again for him. After all, Stefan had to force him to turn and I thought he might really miss being human, in his heart of hearts. Whatever, at least right or wrong it's my own perception, not an idea that's being shoved down my throat like Elena wanting to be human since day 1!
Yeah, it's really a shame that we feel forced into thinking this way. TVD has been and still is my favorite show, too. I live in its world each week. I know it's not real, but it's meaningful to me.
Elena never wanted to be a vampire. She just started to enjoy it because she didn't think there was anything she could do about it.. she made the best of it and tried to be positiv. Just because you're okay with something doesn't mean you wouldn't change it if you had the chance
I feel the same way about that scene!! It's my favorite Damon (without Elena) scene ever and I watched it a million times Because of that scene I always thought Damon really misses being human but. he was just not telling anyone about it. And when he said "I used to miss being human but now I can't think of anything more miserable on earth" to Elena after she asked him to take the cure with her I thought it was only because he was scared Elena's feeling were because of the sirebond. I believed he was scared if he admitted the fact that he misses being human and takes the cure with Elena, Human-Elena would run back to Stefan and he would be left alone.. without the option to turn his humanity off. But now I'm not so sure about that.. now it seems like he always loved being a vampire more than he missed being a human..
So Caroline apologizes to Elena for what to said to her when her humanity was off but when Elena got her humanity back on in season 4 she couldn't even say i'm sorry to Caroline for everything she did to her when her humanity, so what if Caroline hurt poor Elena's feelings, Elena tried to kill Caroline and Bonnie when her humanity was off. Elena owes Caroline a long over due apology but I doubt she'll get it. Now that Elena's human again how she at least acknowledges how selfish she was when she vampire before she leaves.
Elena gave it to Stefan because it was so difficult for him to control his blood lust, and when he couldn't he suffered terribly from guilt. Ripper, remember? She told him of everyone, it was hardest for him to be a vampire. Ironic really, because he originally embraced it and pushed Damon into turning too.
Because she thought he needed it more. If I would have something I want but a friend of mine might wants it too I would offer it to my friend first too. Other than that .. back then she had no idea it was possible to share the cure with Damon. Plus she thought Damon wouldn't want to take it anyway. So she choose Damon over being human which didn't mean she doesn't want to be human. She just thought she can't have it both ways.
Well whether Damon loves being a vampire or not, thanks for telling me you love that scene as much as I do! It's my favorite Damon scene too and I think it was Ian's most difficult but greatest performance.
Yeah sorry, I meant successfully drank from a blood bag. I think your Stefan points are very valid, and I'm not sure I don't agree with you, in some ways we're both right. In the finale of s4 she was extremely messed up, i don't think she had a clue what she was doing or what her motives were, she clearly had many motives. Yes, at that point her most immediate thoughts were of fear, esp guilt and survival, but I know at least in the back of her mind she always worried about Stefan's ripper side as did everyone else. at least part of her motives became clear when she said "the only person worse than being a vampire than me is you"-I'm sure she was implying his ripper side. Giving Stefan the cure, I still agree he's the one that should have had the cure, I think she made a good move there. But it was a dumb time to make any big move, including choosing Damon, she was too messed up to make any life altering decisions.
Like everyone else, i think recycling this storyline was lazy, sloppy and has too many holes. But I guess it does the job-gives Elena a reason to leave and leave the season on a good cliffhanger. So adequite, ok, but after 6 seasons I hoped for better.
Not a great time to be cruel to Elena, but I Absolutely agree. human or vamp, she felt like everything was about her. But what's worse, I don't think she knew that. More often then not, I think she felt like she was helping a friend or the world, but in the end, it just felt like another selfish act that revolved around her. At least as a vamp, she had the strength and esteem to protect herself and someone else didn't always have to risk their life. Did any of her plans ever actually work? Reason and logic, not always her strong suit.
I agree to some degree, and I think you have some good points, but I think you're only seeing one side of it. Yes, Elena accepted and embraced vampirism over time, Damon I think was mostly responsible for this. Damon made her enjoy vampirism more, it doesn't mean she would have preferred not to get used to it. And, she didn't have to be a vamp for Damon to make her feel alive, she would have felt the same about him as a vamp or a human. Only difference is, for many reasons, she didn't give him a chance until vampirism, eventually though, even as a human I think her feelings would still have grown, and she would have been forced to deal with those feelings. And yes, Elena didn't talk about wanting to be human in s4, but joined the fight for the cure stronger than anyone, actions spoke louder than words. Yes, at the end of s4 she gave the cure away, only for Stefan's sake not because she didn't want it. S5 I will agree she embraced vampirism a bit more mostly because she was with Damon. But embracing something doesn't mean you'd be happier on the other side, it just means you don't have a choice but to accept it. She had no way of becoming human, so why talk about it, just make the most of what you have.
I am the worst speculator on the planet, lol, but my best guess is some kind of time travel to the future or AU for protection, but who the heck knows, right? Anyway, what matters to me is that Damon (finally) knows just how much Elena loves him and wants him, whether or not she is human, vampire or space alien, which is why the next couple of episodes will be tragic, and painful to watch for DE fans.
TYLER. And i just watched it. And they've always cared for Alaric, and Alaric for them. But they haven't had scenes together since the beginning of this season, so i like seeing them together in this clip.
I do! Especially when those are two completely different names altogether not a misspell!...Idc about the wedding too much. I just can't get on board with Jo. It's not even that really, (kinda is) i'm just really annoyed that her father is walking her down the aisle.
My issue with writing English is that in Serbian the rule "Spell like it sounds." And Taylor-Tyler is similar in some ways. I occasionally write nonsense just cause they sound the same.
I like JO. I think this day she just wants to be a normal girl whose father takes her down the aisle. Without any drama, any questions.
Two different sounds! Two different names. Definitely two different spellings. It doesn't even have to do with your English. It's the fact that you've been watching this show for 6 years, you'd think you know their names and how to spell it by now. So the whole "I write nonsense just cause they sound the same" is a poor excuse. It really is. And i'm don't just mean you, i just mean in general. I'm not picking on you either. But seriously, til this day i don't understand the fans that do that. It makes them look dumb. You post as Spindae...I'm not gonna call you Cindy....that's not your name. And that's not how you spell it. My name is Shannon, i don't wish to be called Sharon. If someone's calling me Sharon, i'm going to correct them. It's about respect and just plain common sense. Understand now? I mean you spell every other character's name correctly. Tyler should be no different. Especially after 6 years. When you're a big fan of the show. It just doesn't make sense.
I guess i could agree with that. But i still don't feel it's that simple.
It wasn't really an excuse. I hate when I misspell or write something wrong, but it happens without even realizing. I know how his name is spelled and do it right in 99% of the time, but sometimes it just happens. The issue is I mostly don't even realize it while prove reading.
I'm interested to see how the episode will pace and how much of Defan drama we'll get, how much time the wedding will take and how much Kairetics they will show.
Ok, idr all of what you said, but i'm happy for you? LOL Don't remind me either. I think i blocked it out. I was listening to you definitely, but i might've blocked it out unknowingly. Sometimes if i feel a fan's theories are too good, i kinda erase it so i can, stay surprised with the show. Somewhat. ya know? And YOU specifically like to dig into every nook and cranny trying to predict every piece of the episode. So when you go into theory mode (when we don't talk directly) i have to scroll away from your comments. lol
I used to do the exact same thing. Still do, but it gets boring to me to be right about every little thing. Some things i just want to see what happens. So with that said, my only theory i hadfor tonight's episode was about Steroline. I didn't read the article that was posted yesterday and i'm not going to. But i do know that i was right about my theory. And i'm DYING to see it on screen.
That i get. It's the same with me correcting you or anybody else for that matter. I can't not correct you. A lot of times, idk i'm doing it, until someone says something. (I do it to my friends all the time, and believe it or not they've become better spellers b/c of me) I rarely let it pass, but it has to be something small that i can let pass by. It's my writer's persona combined with my OCD. It's just the way it is.
I want to see more of Kai. I want the boys to be back on time before the wedding is over. I definitely need my steroline scene to be EPIC! (You have no idea how patient i'm trying to be about that). I think the Defan scenes will be in the beginning of the episode.
Damn, i still can't believe Nina is leaving, it's still bothering me. And i just thought about it only b/c i'm thinking about the promo and Damon's human life dreams. Sigh. = (
I don't mind U correcting me. I'm immune to that, doesn't affect me at all, especially not from U. I hope we see a lot of Kai and his buddies this week, they need to tune up the story. Nina leaving will be heartbreaking. I'm not a huge Elena fan but she gave a lot of herself to the show and delivered some impressive moments. I have no clue how the show will look be without her, but I'll miss her. The Steroline scene needs to be highly profound and epic.
Well wait now. I recall the most rescent one at least I think the most rescent one. God knows which one U are reffering to. Where did U read the big reveal?
I don't know. Probably not, if it was a cliffhanger than yes. But as I know she is leaving, I look forward to the emotional colapse and heartbreaking scenes, how isn't the issue there.
Aww that's so sweet. Usually my friends call that my "pain in the ass quality" Which they can take, but they know me in person so it's different. Aww, you can take my pain in the ass-ism. LOL Thank you.
I want more Kai, and more Kai and Bonnie scenes. I felt seriously jipped the last time, and now that we've seen him last week, it seems he's back to his old self, which i would love immensely!!
I've never hated Elena (but she's pissed me off plenty especially this season), i adore Nina. But i'm livid! (Mostly at Nina.) There were things i wanted to see for Elena in season 7. I'm definitely upset that my OTP is going to be over, and ohh yeahh, she's the main freaking character. smh HOWEVER, there's a lot of things i'm looking forward to in season 7 that don't include Elena either. I don't watch the show for her, i watch it for everybody. (well some of everybody) I think the show will be fine w/o her, but it's still a big loss.
I think that's how they got out. Someone said they had read the finale script and sent 3-4 spoilers to a number of users on tumblr (I think a lot of them were Klaroline shippers) so that's where they came from.
I'll have a dozen of PitA qualities but they don't come over while writing(at least I hope they don't) so I can't judge others. Can't wait to see Bonnie's face when Kai appeares in front of her. I need a bunch of their scenes, can't wait for her to take him apart. Stelena was my OTP, but Julie screwed me over when Elena jumped Damon's bones. I don't feel Elena as the lead for quite some time. She occasionally takes center stage but overall noup. Probably since S04 ended she isn't prominent for me. I'll miss her doppelgangers, especially Katarina. I could've seen her have some intriguing stories in S07 but I can imagine the season without her, especially if they introduce intriguing characters like Kai.
Good point but as Debbie pointed out, Damon has made enemies and I imagine Elena has too. Her and Jeremy are responsible for killing 1000's of vampires. She is not a vampire hunter as Jeremy is. She would be vulnerable.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
hmmmmm
ReplyDeleteOhhh so tough! Every scene feels like pushing for closure!
ReplyDeleteI like having my control freak sweetheart Caroline back! Always on top of her game.
Elena was surprisingly correct at the end there. She is way way down on Caroline's list of apologies that need to be made.
ReplyDeleteI think they are people a little higher.
ReplyDeleteYay,our beloved Caroline is Back!I could care less about Elena.
ReplyDeleteSee?? Now THAT'S how you apologize to someone once you get your humanity back....ELENA! And she really does NOT need to be apologizing to you. She's just a bigger person that's all. And what??? "I've wanted to become human the day I became a vampire" Could that be more bullshit??? Unbelievable. Ugh. Caroline you were deeply missed.
ReplyDeleteLOL Elena is the MAIN character of the show ! even if she go caroline will NEVER be the female lead, so if you don't care avout elena storyline just don't watch the show anymore
ReplyDeleteWhy?There are much more interesting characters for me to watch-Caroline,Bonnie,Damon.Elena's SL is coming to an close and Caroline WILL take the centre stage. If you can't deal with this fact, that's not my problem.
ReplyDeleteI know. I thought Elena was okay being immortal cause she could be with Damon forever. Remember when Stefan gave her the cure in season 4 finale and she turned it down. She finally accepted being a vampire until out of the blue when Jo got pregnant. smh
ReplyDeleteI am not going to watch season 7 like a lot a people and for me it's a shame that julie plec continue the show without the MAIN character ! i hope season 7 will be a FLOP and Caroline will never be the centre stage like elena and she will appear in just 17 épisodes next season !
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking Jo was made pregnant so that it props the SL of Elena wanting to be a human all of a sudden.
ReplyDeleteSo will the rest of the cast except Paul & Ian(As per Julie's tweet). It's the SL that matters.Matt was in as many episodes as any others,i don't remember him having any major arc this season,so number of episodes doesn't really matter.
ReplyDeleteFor me,I have always had a problem that show placed too much emphasis on Delena romance melodrama rather than the main SL and individual character development.
ReplyDeleteAnd Caroline's back...Ok i guess.
ps. Nina's heels though.xD
Not a popular response, but I can
ReplyDeleteI get that Elena might still want to be human at her core, because her rejection of the cure in S4 was about not putting the town at risk from the hunters, she actually said that wanted it but couldn't take it. Her main goal all season was to take that damn cure.
ReplyDeleteI got the feeling that she resigned herself to staying a vamp, rather than choosing it, and Damon was a large part of her acceptance.
They should have had just Elena killed off. Idk it would have been more believing than this imo.
ReplyDeleteShe wanted to be human for all of Season 4 - she hated being a vampire then but didn't seem to mind it in Season 5/6, so I wish they had just cured her back at the end of Season4 instead of now.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't have wanted her t be killed off. I still don't. But for them to do this, it's completely unbelievable. Nothing, As far as Elena's exit is concerned, makes sense. Nothing. It's all very contrived for her SL. And iI knew that the moment Bonnie brought that cure back then two days later announcing her exit. Smh.
ReplyDeleteAt this point, iI just want her to say her "epic goodbyes" to everyone and get the hell out of MF.
ReplyDeleteAs much as I want delena to stay together, was this the way to do it?
ReplyDeleteBut we don't want Season 7 to be bad, right? It does matter, especially if it's the final season.
ReplyDeleteWhen Klaus finds out Elena is human again, he can make more hybrids of his own and have his own army to protect HOPE. LOL They are gonna have to think of someway to keep Elena safe.
ReplyDeleteWhat?
ReplyDeleteIdk what show you were watching, but she never hated being a vampire.
ReplyDeleteI remember very well that before Klaus intended to sacrifice Elena she told Stefan she didn't want to be a vampire.
ReplyDeleteOh, and how come you're not avoiding us? Not that I'm not glad to read your comments!
Easy, girl! Actually you may have seen my comments saying I think Elena should die. Not to be mean, but because I don't want the show holding out hope she might return at some point. Closure, you know? She's gone and now they have to pick up the pieces. But I doubt she'll die because maybe TPTB want to leave things open-ended in case Nina would agree to return in the series finale. I'll believe that when I see it! Nina back on the TVD set after all that's gone before? Don't think so. And all this twisting the truth of the past is killing me too.
ReplyDeleteI think Joy was talking rating-wise, because creatively won't change since the same writers are in it.
ReplyDeleteBut remember, that was written after they knew Nina was leaving. They've been working up this vampire/human conflict since 6x01.
ReplyDeleteI too don't want to see Caroline as the lead even if Elena is gone.
ReplyDeletebut I think I'm gonna wait until the finale before I decide whether I'm going to watch next season
THIS^^ OMG! YES!!!!
ReplyDeleteOf course i don't want it to do bad, that's given.I'm just saying,at this point,i'm not expecting any magical spike after Nina's exit-That's all!
ReplyDeleteI don't know. if the cure to vampirism is in her blood that might not be possible
ReplyDeleteI know, but it does make sense that with Damon gone that Elena would feel that way about vampirism. I think I might of even fangirled about that line at the time, that she could only envision forever, if it was with Damon.
ReplyDeleteAs it stands at the moment, she only took the cure because Damon promised to take it with her, before that, she refused it again.
I totally Agree, not just klaus but anyone trying to get to klaus. And imagine how many enemies Damons made over the years? Part of Stefan's picture given to Damon next episode, I'd bet, is going to revolve around having to move around a lot to protect them.
ReplyDeleteI left for a bit, but i'I'm here now.
ReplyDeleteIf you're waiting for Sara, she'll be back.
ReplyDeleteAs for giving the cure to Stefan, it was a gesture of good faith out of guilt and wanting to save the day.
ReplyDeleteI hear you.
ReplyDeleteActually, the first time Elena drank from a blood bag she threw up - all that siring stuff, remember? But I know you meant that once Damon told her she could drink from a blood bag, she could, and she was good with that. And it's true that vampirism has a bad side as well as good. It wasn't until the Cure came into play in Season 4, and then was dragged out again this season because TPTB decided it would be a good way to lead up to Nina's exit, that she thought about becoming human because it seemed a real possibility.
ReplyDeleteBut I'm sticking with my original reason for Elena offering the cure to Stefan.
ReplyDeleteI get it. I just mean that I want it to be a good season, for the fans. Otherwise it sounds like "it doesn't matter what we do, we've been renewed". And having the same writers doesn't exactly make me feel good. Their creativity has left a lot to be desired at times
ReplyDeleteI'm not expecting any magical ratings spikes either. The fan backlash after Nina's exit might even lower the ratings, but not for long, hopefully. New and fresher story lines would breathe new life into the show (pun intended). That's what I want - desperately. If TVD has to go out after season 7, I want it to be with a bang, not a whimper.
ReplyDeleteI feel bad that you wanted things to happen for Elena in Season 7 and so you wanted her to return for that season! Oh Nina, do you have any idea what you've doing to us?
ReplyDeleteI hate to agree, but I also feel I want things to be over.
ReplyDeleteI don't feel pity for shit. TPTB know exactly what they're doing. And I don't feel remorse for any of them. I just want it over.
ReplyDelete"I also feel I want things to be over. I've never felt that way about a TVD season before." Neither have I. Not when it came to a season. I've never wanted to get to a season finale so badly in this series as this is still my favorite show.
ReplyDeleteI don't mean her death. = (
ReplyDeleteVampires are supposedly still the people they were before they were turned, only more so.
ReplyDeleteI'm also glad to have "Vampire Barbie" back.
ReplyDeleteThank you, you're so sweet!
ReplyDeleteYeah, it's really a shame that we feel forced into thinking this way. TVD has been and still is my favorite show, too. I live in its world each week. I know it's not real, but it's meaningful to me.
ReplyDeleteSame. I understand completely.
ReplyDeleteno Elena you haven't wanted to be human in YEARS, so this IDIOTIC storyline is JUST because Nina Dobrev is leaving the show
ReplyDeleteElena never wanted to be a vampire. She just started to enjoy it because she didn't think there was anything she could do about it.. she made the best of it and tried to be positiv. Just because you're okay with something doesn't mean you wouldn't change it if you had the chance
ReplyDeleteI feel the same way about that scene!!
ReplyDeleteSo Caroline apologizes to Elena for what to said to her when her humanity was off but when Elena got her humanity back on in season 4 she couldn't even say i'm sorry to Caroline for everything she did to her when her humanity, so what if Caroline hurt poor Elena's feelings, Elena tried to kill Caroline and Bonnie when her humanity was off. Elena owes Caroline a long over due apology but I doubt she'll get it. Now that Elena's human again how she at least acknowledges how selfish she was when she vampire before she leaves.
ReplyDeleteThen why did she give the cure to Stefan?
ReplyDeleteElena gave it to Stefan because it was so difficult for him to control his blood lust, and when he couldn't he suffered terribly from guilt. Ripper, remember? She told him of everyone, it was hardest for him to be a vampire. Ironic really, because he originally embraced it and pushed Damon into turning too.
ReplyDeleteBecause she thought he needed it more.
ReplyDeleteWell whether Damon loves being a vampire or not, thanks for telling me you love that scene as much as I do! It's my favorite Damon scene too and I think it was Ian's most difficult but greatest performance.
ReplyDelete<3
ReplyDeleteYeah sorry, I meant successfully drank from a blood bag.
ReplyDeleteLike everyone else, i think recycling this storyline was lazy, sloppy and has too many holes.
ReplyDeleteI think so too!!
ReplyDeleteI agree to some degree, and I think you have some good points, but I think you're only seeing one side of it.
ReplyDeleteI am the worst speculator on the planet, lol, but my best guess is some kind of time travel to the future or AU for protection, but who the heck knows, right?
ReplyDeleteAnyway, what matters to me is that Damon (finally) knows just how much Elena loves him and wants him, whether or not she is human, vampire or space alien, which is why the next couple of episodes will be tragic, and painful to watch for DE fans.
this is so boring.. Ric and Jo's wedding...
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet 2nd sneak peak!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for them to sing: "Here comes the Psycho and all of his Heretics."
I can't see number 2! I gotta go search. = (
ReplyDeleteIt's sweet! A bit random, don't know when Taylor and Matt started care for Alaric but it's sweet overall.
ReplyDeleteTYLER. And i just watched it. And they've always cared for Alaric, and Alaric for them. But they haven't had scenes together since the beginning of this season, so i like seeing them together in this clip.
ReplyDeleteLike anyone cares how his name is spelled.
ReplyDeleteI'll watch in about 12. Need my beauty sleep to watch the beautiful wedding. ^^
The finale spoiler has leaked unfortunately.SMH :(
ReplyDeleteI do! Especially when those are two completely different names altogether not a misspell!...Idc about the wedding too much. I just can't get on board with Jo. It's not even that really, (kinda is) i'm just really annoyed that her father is walking her down the aisle.
ReplyDeleteKeep it to yourself.
ReplyDeleteEveryone knows it but i definitely won't share it here.
ReplyDeleteI sure don't! Totally in the dark. So thanks for not spoiling it here. Besides me, there are a few on here that want to be surprised with the finale.
ReplyDeleteMy issue with writing English is that in Serbian the rule "Spell like it sounds." And Taylor-Tyler is similar in some ways. I occasionally write nonsense just cause they sound the same.
ReplyDeleteI like JO. I think this day she just wants to be a normal girl whose father takes her down the aisle. Without any drama, any questions.
BTW,i'm so proud i predicted everything correctly. Can't wait for the wedding!
ReplyDeleteCan't Matt/Tyler send Caroline back a text saying, "I'm not doing anything for you - you tried to kill me".
ReplyDeleteAhem!! Where can I find it?
ReplyDeletePlease don't,be surprised.
ReplyDeleteTwo different sounds!
ReplyDeleteI guess i could agree with that. But i still don't feel it's that simple.
Okay then. I will not go searching. :)
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't really an excuse. I hate when I misspell or write something wrong, but it happens without even realizing.
ReplyDeleteI know how his name is spelled and do it right in 99% of the time, but sometimes it just happens.
So when you go into theory mode (when we don't talk directly) i have to scroll away from your comments. lol
ReplyDeleteI used to do the exact same thing.
ReplyDeleteI want to see more of Kai.
Sigh. = (
Ohhh That storyline??? Holly molly! Not that I didn't like Ur theory but I wanted something different.
ReplyDeleteIn my defense,i only do this for one show among all the 50 shows i watch-TVD.Every other show,i don't like to speculate and just sit back and enjoy!
ReplyDeleteNot that one,The other countless predictions i made.LOL!
ReplyDeleteThe ones that have been all over tumblr for weeks? I've seen those.
ReplyDeleteI don't mind U correcting me. I'm immune to that, doesn't affect me at all, especially not from U.
ReplyDeleteI hope we see a lot of Kai and his buddies this week, they need to tune up the story.
ReplyDeleteI wan't to know !!! tell me where i can find this spoiler about the final pleaaase
ReplyDeleteNot revealing it.Don't you want to be surprised?
ReplyDeleteI don't visit tumblr but those must be it.
ReplyDeletei wan't to know too please ! i don't care about bein surprised
ReplyDeleteI don't know. Probably not, if it was a cliffhanger than yes. But as I know she is leaving, I look forward to the emotional colapse and heartbreaking scenes, how isn't the issue there.
ReplyDeleteI cannot spoil the finale for the sake of one.I'm sorry.
ReplyDeleteAww that's so sweet. Usually my friends call that my "pain in the ass quality" Which they can take, but they know me in person so it's different. Aww, you can take my pain in the ass-ism. LOL Thank you.
ReplyDeleteI want more Kai, and more Kai and Bonnie scenes.
Is it a good end for Elena or not ? She is my fav character so i wan't to know that
ReplyDeleteI think that's how they got out. Someone said they had read the finale script and sent 3-4 spoilers to a number of users on tumblr (I think a lot of them were Klaroline shippers) so that's where they came from.
ReplyDeleteI get that completely. TVD definitely does have that effect on its' fans, speaking from extreme personal experience.
ReplyDeletetell me what happen to elena in the final
ReplyDeleteI'll have a dozen of PitA qualities but they don't come over while writing(at least I hope they don't) so I can't judge others.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see Bonnie's face when Kai appeares in front of her.
NO,it's not looking good IMO.
ReplyDeleteGood point but as Debbie pointed out, Damon has made enemies and I imagine Elena has too. Her and Jeremy are responsible for killing 1000's of vampires. She is not a vampire hunter as Jeremy is. She would be vulnerable.
