    I think it's about time that both of them stop walking away from each other before coming to a resolution! It's like they are taking turns walking away from each other...first episodes where Stefan was walking away from her and now it's Caroline!!! Please both of you admit you want to be together DAMN IT and make out😉😉😉😉😘😘😘 Boy likes girl! Girl likes boy! Then make love.....arggh don't patience I WILL SAY THIS AGAIN CAN NOT WAIT FOR THE LAST TWO EPISODES HOPE IT WOULD BE EPIC FOR STEROLINE!!

    Lets hope he does do it. Im not sure Stefan is doing this for Damon's benefit. He just dosnt want to be left alone. I dont know that its exactly selfish, but by the same token.. its kinda like how Damon was originally turned. Stefan verbaled him into drinking the blood and making the change. In a weird way it makes sense that Stefan again is now trying to convince him not to drink the blood and make the change to human.

    I truly hope Damon does take it. Even if Elena does leave him, Id like to see what Human Damon is like. The show does still have enough Vampires on it (Stefan,Caroline, Enzo).

    I still remember his speech to the girl from the Car about desparetly missing being human. Id love to see them reference that.

    I'm pretty sure it's some of both motivations. But I don't get "when things get out you'll have to move on". How would anybody know they had been vampires, assuming they're no longer in Mystic Falls? I think there's some crucial dialog missing here.

    Personally, I don't want Damon to become human again. First of all, it would destroy the entire "this is the story of two vampire brothers" premise. Secondly, being human would change Damon into a different character and I don't find that acceptable - I like Damon "just the way he is", bad parts along with the good. That's why I find him so fascinating - that combination of dark vs. light. We all have that combination but in Damon's case (and Stefan's too) the dark is the interesting part, because he's a fictional vampire.

    That being said, I think you are the first person besides myself to bring up that incredible scene from Season 2 - one of the most dramatic scenes of the entire series and probably Ian's best. No groundwork was EVER layed to justify Damon saying later on that he couldn't imagine anything more miserable than being human, once the Cure became known. When you're as drunk as he was you speak the truth because your inhibitions are lowered. But Bruce F. has said it: if the writers ignore it, it never happened. I may not want Damon to turn human but such an unexplained about-face really bothers me!

    I have to disagree with Stefan. The brothers have lived apart for over 50 years, and Damon has been on his own the entire time. And if you ask me being a vampire has already been his own personal hell. As to Not having any friends - may be Elena, Jo and Alaric can all leave MF together, it would give Elena/ Damon the friend/family support they need to start their lives together.


    We know Elena is going to leave MF so Seriously - who does Damon really have without Elena? Lily - mother who has betrayed him and admitted she does not love him. Enzo - they have had NO interaction almost the entire S6 and fans are to believe Damon would give up Enzo for Elena (not likely). Matt/Tyler - Nope. Caroline - Definitely NOT. Bonnie - She can always be a phone call away. Liz is gone and Alaric is leaving those 2 individuals where Damon's trusted friends. So it basically Comes Down to Stefan - Now it is Damon's turn to choose - Stefan or Elena?


    Damon deserves to be happy and I have not seen since S1 where vampirsm has made him happy.

    Agree - Stefan spent more time with Lexi than his own brother during their vampire lives. Damon has helped Stefan accept who he is, tried to help him control his ripper side, went looking for him when Silas had him drowning, and just recently got his humanity turned back on. S7 should be about - Stefan /Enzo saving MF from those crazy vamp./witches AND Stefan helping his mother. Lily has basically written Damon off. Stefan needs to let Damon go and let him be happy for once.

    I never thought of that - great analogy regarding Stefan asking Damon to be a vampire with him all over again - but truly life as a vampire has not been all fun and games for Damon. I think Damon still believe he does not deserve Happiness for all the Bad things he has done. If Stefan was a supportive brother he would prove to him that he does deserve happiness.

    Her name was Jessica. And they did reference that, Before, after Jessica, especially last night. And he clearly stated he did not want to be human.

    Yeah, no, I'm completely against your idea. There is no "let's hope he does." YOU can hope, but there is no "we" on this. I do not share your theory. 110% against It. And that's a final answer.

    To be correct, Damon did not look for Stefan when he was drowning cause of Silas. If it wasn't for Elena wacky dreams of Stefan than they wouldn't figure it out that he was practically drowning and then got his brain fried

    He wasn't looking for him because Stefan moved out to have some space away from Damon and Elena. So he and Elena just decided to give him space. And when they did want to look after him, probably Caroline shut them down with an "absolutely not" just like she did with Elena in the season 5 premiere.
    Hold on a sec, I wonder how Caroline didn't figure out...Wasn't she like besties with Stefan back then...?o_O

    True Stefan forced Damon to turn but then Damon turn around and begin torturing Stefan. These two brother practically torture each other back and forth. When Stefan was "sober" from being a ripper, back in the days who got him to drink human again? Damon promise Stefan a lifetime of misery and he did give it to him. Damon himself isn't a ripper but he did killed many innocent people. When Elena choose Damon, Stefan let it go and moved on. If he really wanted Elena he would have fight for her but he didn't he let her go so his brother could be happy. He is now caring more for Caroline and feelings for her not Elena though she's like his first love.


    He wanted to show Damon what its like being human after Damon has practically been living his whole life as a vampire over 100+ years. Damon seen the good side of human now Stefan is showing the bad side of being a human. Damon is use to being a vampire and now if he's human would he be truly happy even with the "love of his life" beside him. If you're a vampire for so long and all sudden decided to turn human again what would it be? Damon knows for sure he can't turn off his humanity whenever he pleases, he has to endure the real pain and emotions like the rest of humans. Once you take the cure you cannot become vampire again as Katherine tries to turn back but failed. So this is a risk Damon has to take. Stefan probably has some motives but he's trying to let Damon know the pros and cons. Pro is he get to grow old with Elena and have a family, Con he is going to endure every emotions without turning it off, and he was a vampire so once you get hurt sick or at the verge of death you cannot come back. Can he adjust being human again? Elena has no problem since she hasn't being a vampire for that long compare to Damon so her adjusting to life again is no problem but will Damon will?


    I'm not siding with anybody on here but you need to stand at Stefan standpoint as he tries to protect his brother from making the wrong mistake and regretting it. Everybody is screaming Damon deserve his happiness, yes he does but have you ever stop to think, was this a spur of the moment that Damon wanted to be human to be with Elena? Was it his desire all along to be human again? If Damon want happiness he can have it as a vampire, he almost had it when he was somewhat with Rose but she got killed. It is your own choice to have happiness on your own whether or not your human or vampire. That doesn't change.

    Damon got Liz & her sheriff's involved to search for him. He is the one who had them start searching the quarry. The bottom line - once Damon realized something was wrong he started to take action.

    Disagree - While Damon told Stefan he would give him a life-time of misery as a vampire - Damon is the one who has been truly miserable. Last time Damon was smiling, having fun and happy, prior to Elena was when he was human. A young man growing up in the south with his brother. Damon & Stefan had a strong family bond especially since their father was so cruel but all that was broken when Stefan forced Damon to turn. Damon became a monster and was miserable until he met Elena and found true love for the first time in his life. Like Andie once told Damon - "Love Changes You", So yes, I can see Damon becoming human and being a great husband, father and friend because he has unconditional Love for the first time in his life. Deep down all Damon ever wanted was to have a life time of being truly loved (human or vampire)

    Throughout so far in the seasons beside the recent ones Damon was portray that he rather chose living a vampire life compare to being human. Why did the cure appear first he didn't have desire to claim it like how Stefan admitted he wanted to be human again? From my view throughout so far beside when Damon was with Elena he wanted to stay as a vampire. Even though "love changes you" which it did to him he has to risk it all. Before Elena met both brothers, her life was normal, simple and she was drag into this whole supernatural world that she didn't ask for and didn't ask to have doppelgangers. I feel like the writers are trying to write in a way to make Damon see a different view so he can "let Elena" go beside killing her off the show. Since they promise her exit is a good one



    As for the brothers their bond was broken but then deep down they always protect each other no matter what. How each one would sacrifice themselves for each other exactly like how Dean and Sam would. Though they take the dangerous route to show how much they care for each other, they still love each other no matter what. Stefan is trying to let Damon see the other side of the story a negative one that once you take the cure there is no going back. Its selfish of him but he's trying to protect his brother from making the mistake.



    To me a 30 second trailer do no justice to what is happening, maybe Stefan show him both the good and the bad side of being human but the trailer was shorten to make Stefan the bad one throughout the whole thing. But then we all know since both brothers sign on for season 7 and not nina the writers gotta end the season with one of their probably creative ending for her

    Exactly, and we will see exactly how alone Damon will be when Caroline is back on the scene and Stefan won't care less about him, and will resume sanctimonious pontificating about how terrible and selfish Damon is. Can't wait!
    Why is no one letting Damon make his own choice about his life? I know, because it's Damon, and choices are only important when they are someone elses.
    Damon has only ever wanted one thing in his life, and that is truly reciprocated love. He has that with Elena. Of course he would trade his vampirism for a life with Elena, he has lived long enough without it/her to know how life as vampire is without her, and he doesn't want it.
    Stefan is projecting the worse case scenarios in Damons mind, and that is just mean. Yet again Stefan is underestimating his brother, and has him failing at the first hurdle. Way to go Stef.

    Agree - it makes you wonder if Stefan has been paying attention at all to how his Damon had grown / changed. I also think Damon was waiting for Stefan to become a functioning vampire so he would no longer have to worry about him and that has happened - It is time for Stefan to let Damon go

    so basically I'm the only one who thinks it's OOC for damon to take the cure.. good to know.. everyones forgotten Damon's words to Rebekka in Season 4 where he states how its preferable to be a vamp than a human ?? not ringing any bells ? Damon grew into himself as a vampire... he LIKES being a vampire.. him giving it all up for a girl is just...NOT HIM ! like enzo said, no one changes that much. N yes, it may sound romantic now but 10 yrs from now, he will HATE it. he's been a vampire for over 160 yrs, he will not make a good human ! !


    NO damon ! DO NOT TAKE THAT CURE ! just face the facts - u n elena want different things. Move on buddy !

    And his bottle of Bourbon,, don't forget that friend. Human or Vampire,, Damon can't live without it. He would have just become a miserable drunk and died of liver failure or some other disease. So he can Man -up and thank his baby brother for saving what was left of his miserable life.
    Kat was involved in all of this also,, so Stefan cannot and should not accept all the blame,, even though I don't like the way he went about it. Besides things are really going to heat up now,, with Stefan being Mommy's favorite and Enzo being something more. I'm sure Damon will be blowing a gasket or two even 3 in S7 Especially if they plan on reverting him back to the character in S1 &2. This maybe a different season,, hopefully Steroline is not included with this.:))
    Mattie's & Alaric has been lost in the background of this show.. Have you noticed?

    Damon being human? He would totally have to go to the Gym to work out b/c he no longer has his Vamp strength or speed. And with his cocky attitude and smart mouth? He's be dead in a week. lolol
    No,, human Damon would be miserable and the show would completely tank over night. Sorry:/
