08:11 - MOVIES: Disney Animation's Zootopia - Ginnifer Goodwin Joins Cast with Jason Bateman
Once Upon a Time star Ginnifer Goodwin has joined Jason Bateman to voice star in Walt Disney Animation’s Zootopia.
The project is being directed by Byron Howard (Tangled) andRich Moore (Wreck-it Ralph) and co-directed by Jared Hess. It has a March 4, 2016 release date.
The script, by Bush, is set in a modern mammal metropolis comprised of neighborhoods such as ritzy Sahara Square and frigid Tundratown.
Goodwin will voice a bunny named Judy Hopps (get it?), a by-the-book metermaid with dreams of being a police officer. But being the first bunny on the force is not within reach so when a mystery is discovered, Hopps forges an unlikely friendship with a fast-talking scam-artist fox (Bateman) to solve it. Together they will upend the predator-prey preconceptions that permeate this metropolis.

07:33 - Robbers - Crime Drama Starring Tim McGraw In Works At TNT From Timberman/Beverly
Tim McGraw is set to topline and executive produce Robbers, a drama project, which has landed at TNT in a competitive situation. Based on Christopher Cook’s 2000 debut novel, Robbers hails from Sony Pictures TV, Sarah Timberman and Carl Beverly’s Timberman/Beverly and Michael Dinner. Cook and Dinner are writing the adaptation, with Dinner set to direct.
Described as being in the literary-noir tradition of Cormac McCarthy’s No Country For Old Men, Robbers tells the story of a cop, two “running buddies” on a crime spree across Texas, and the girl who becomes the complication in a very unique love triangle. Everyone has a story. Everyone is a mystery. McGraw would play one of the two drifters, Ray Bob, described as being worst of the worst. McGraw, Dinner, Beverly and Timberman executive produce.
The style of Cook’s Robbers is said to be be evocative of Elmore Leonard, a fitting comparison as the new project reunites key auspices behind the FX drama Justified, based on a Leonard short story — executive producer/director Dinner, exec producers Timberman and Beverly and studio SonyTV.

Yay Ginny :)
ReplyDeleteA bunny and a fox teaming up to solve a crime, I'm actually really looking forward to that!
ReplyDeletesoooo excited for major crimes!! sharon raydor ftw! :D
ReplyDelete- Amy looks hella pissed in that picture. Her rivalry with Karen should be fun. Amy's utter revulsion when she touched her arm was some great physical comedy.
ReplyDelete- Rosie is obviously gonna live. Right? Right?!
Some interesting stuff seems to be happening on Young & Hungry. I'm hoping Gabi is the one who breaks it off with Cooper, because he lied to her, and not because of Josh or because of something Josh does.
ReplyDeleteAmerican Odyssey is picking up. They should focus on action and the conspiracy and put the "character" moments and angst aside. They bring the show down.
Zootopia sounds fun!
VEEP is gonna sooooo good tonight! I think with Karens addiction, Amy (easily the most qualified, and capable one in the staff) will be done with being sidelined and going under-and-un-appreciated and take for granted all the time. I predict she quits on Selina and asks Dan to get her in Prucell. Or she and Dan start their own "consulting" firm....which would be AWESOME!
Tim McGraw is a surprisingly GREAT actor, so even though love triangles tend to be a turn off for me, I'll keep an eye out for Robbers because of him alone.
