In a competitive situation, I hear Hulu has landed Myst, a drama series based on the classic 1990s video game, with a script-to-series commitment. The project hails from Legendary Television, The Amazing Spider-Man and Sinister Six producer Matt Tolmach and Divergent writer Evan Daugherty.
Written by Daugherty, Myst blends elements of science fiction and fantasy. It will explore the origins of the island of Myst from the game where a man wakes up on a mystery island with absolutely no idea who he is, where is, or how he got there.

11:01 - New Girl - Season 4 Finale - Post Mortem
Do you know how you're going to navigate the lack of Zooey?
Jess gets sequestered on a jury. The idea behind it was to be able to do those pastel courtroom sketches, so you could still see her in the jury. It's a little weird, but we're having fun with it. It's a way to have all of the guys check in with her. They watch the news reports on the trial. And they show being set in L.A., this is a city where celebrities get into trouble and juries really do get sequestered.
Any nerves about going so long without your title character?
Without the New Girl? [laughs] The first episode without her is actually called "No Girl." I think in the first or second season, it would have been hard, but now it feels like this creative opportunity to learn more about the other characters. And it's a little bit of a challenge. People are going to be asking, "How are they going to pull this off?" I'm kind of asking that question of myself. I directed the first episode without Zooey, that's the last one we shot this year, and it's really funny. It's a guys' episode. It's an opportunity to stretch ourselves... or it will be a total disaster, and then she'll come back.
The show barely touched on Nick and Jess' breakup this season. Was it important for you to revisit it in the finale?
It was tough at the beginning of season four, because we didn't want to do anything about their breakup or either of them being bummed. We wanted to go away from that, reboot the show a little bit and invest in what else was going on in their lives. The finale was our way of saying that all of this has been going on, we just haven't done episodes about it. They've been struggling with this throughout the year but keeping it under wraps. This is the moment where it came to the surface. To me, it's not a cliffhanger. There's nothing looming over their heads. It's just an organic acknowledgment that this is a complicated relatonship. It's not clear yet, and it's not over yet. That's where I wanted to be going into season five.

C. THOMAS HOWELL AND HENRY ROLLINS SET TO GUEST STAR IN ABC FAMILY’S NEW PROCEDURAL SERIES “STITCHERS”
Burbank, CA (May 4, 2015)– C. Thomas Howell (“Criminal Minds,” “Southland”) and Henry Rollins (“Sons of Anarchy”) will guest star in ABC Family’s new procedural drama “Stitchers.”
Howell will guest star in a recurring role as Daniel, a mysterious person Kirsten (series star Emma Ishta) knew long ago. Rollins will play Barbiero, a security expert who has worked with Maggie (series star Salli Richardson-Whitfield) in the past and is now pushed to extreme measures. He is lethal when he needs to be and practical when the situation calls for some clear thought. Both Rollins and Howell will appear later in the season.
“Stitchers” follows Kirsten, a young woman recruited into a covert government agency to be ‘stitched’ into the minds of the recently deceased, using their memories to investigate murders and decipher mysteries that otherwise would have gone to the grave. “Stitchers” premieres Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at 9:00PM ET/PT on ABC Family.
“Stitchers” is executive-produced by Jeffrey Alan Schechter (“Overruled!”), Jonathan Baruch and Rob Wolken. The series stars Emma Ishta as Kirsten Clark, Kyle Harris (“Carrie Diaries”) as Cameron Goodkin, Ritesh Rajan (upcoming “Jungle Book” feature) as Linus Ahluwalia, Salli Richardson-Whitfield (“Eureka,” “I Am Legend”) as Maggie Baptiste, and Allison Scagliotti (“Warehouse 13”) as Camille Engelson.

Happy Debbie Allen is taking over as excutive producer and director for next season of greys anatomy
ReplyDeleteI didn't know Debbie Allen was also involved with Empire.
ReplyDeleteDebbie Allen as executive producer for Grey's Anatomy. Yay!! I was not a huge fan of the empire finale she directed. It felt like too much was happening. But I like her period and am happy for her.
ReplyDeleteI guess that means we won't be seeing much of Catherine on Grey's Anatomy.
ReplyDeleteThis seems like the upcoming CW schedule for a couple of weeks. I'm not really sure about the iZombie repeats on May 28 and June 4, but May 21 is a sure thing.
ReplyDeleteIf this post shows up twice, I'm sorry. I've posted one with a wrong image so no idea if it got removed properly. Hopefully it did.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, this seems like the upcoming CW schedule now that they've delayed the BATB premiere? I'm not so sure about the May 28 and June 4 iZombie airings, but I know May 21 is there for sure...
