    HOLY CRAP!!! Okay this looks like one of the most promising fantasy series Syfy has ever had that wasn't an import. It looks very high quality, and if the effects for all the episodes are as good as the pilot (I'm assuming all this footage is from it) it will be a real treat indeed. But I'm liking the apparent tone, the effects as I said, and I think I'm gonna like the cast. This show looks so goddamn cool I can't wait.

    The books aren't bad and it might help to read them before hand. I actually found the main character sort of dull and wished they had fleshed out some of the other characters a little more. From the trailer it looks like they might be making at least one adjustment, which I wonder about. They are a pretty easy read so it won't take much of a time investment if you decide to read them
