Thanks to ODA and others for sending this in.
Note: Nothing official has yet been announced.
Garber, who plays one half of Firestorm as Dr. Stein, let the details fly in an interview with BroadwayWorld.com.
It's also reported a 3-minute teaser will be released May 14th at the CW's Upfronts presentation.
Yeah, I think it's going to be a very fun ride. I really honestly can't tell you much about it except it is completely new and it will involve a lot of interesting people. No. We haven't filmed any of it yet - but, it is going straight to series. We start filming in August and it will be on in January. Yes, it will be on the CW.

wOw! January already. I just hope it will be a story on its own and not mess to much with Arrow and Flash.
ReplyDeleteThis is gonna be awesome I hope.
ReplyDeleteWouldn't surprise me if it's true. I know that when it was first announced there was talk that it would be aired in one of the hiatus periods.
ReplyDeleteThat makes sense considering how many of their current shows they renewed already. I wonder if their programing strategy will be to give short (13 episode) seasons to some of their shows. That could actually be a good thing. It means they don't have to write as many, if any filler episodes.
ReplyDeleteOkay, all I care about is that the 100 gets a fall spot. there is no way I can wait until next year to watch it again
ReplyDeleteno please don't let it be an anthology
ReplyDeleteWho mentioned anthology?
ReplyDeleteI think it is very unlikely it happens, there is no room.
ReplyDeleteYes, January is much better than March
ReplyDeletedamn! there is no way I will make it to wait until next year
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping both The100 and Reign show of some episodes in fall and then translate to summer, a 1 year withdrawal would be way to much.
ReplyDeleteTrue. I cannot talk for reign because I do not watch it but the 100 needs a fall spot
ReplyDeleteI'm intrigued to see how many eps it will have. If it's early January I could see 16 ep happening.
ReplyDeleteMaybe they find a way to shove it on Fridays midseason, just maybe... But I think summer 2016 is the more likely option
ReplyDeleteThat would be great
ReplyDelete:( it is seriously the best show on the CW! it deserves so much better
ReplyDelete"it is completely new" gives me hopes for the alt reality! Shouldn't be too long until we know for sure
ReplyDeleteYeah, I'm expecting it'll either go spring or summer, depending on how the fall shows pan out. If one or two of them flop and gets bumped to Fridays or they burn the episodes out early (granted, neither is particularly likely on The CW, but the Messengers happened, so), or if they actually do make TVD and/or TO and/or Reign into half seasons and keep iZombie as a shortened season show, then we'll get it in the spring. Otherwise, summer.
ReplyDeleteI'm still really bummed about it, because waiting possibly over a year for your show sucks, but if does the same kind of numbers in the summer as it did in the fall, we're a lot more likely to get a season four. So that's an upside.
still not hyped for this as the characters are unappealing to me, but I'll see how the pilot goes.
ReplyDeleteODA and others? How many people submitted that scoop exactly? Lol
ReplyDeleteIf they start filming in August then that means Ray could be in the first 2 episodes of season 4 :(
I prefer year breaks myself, if only so less breaks in between.
ReplyDeleteI like Rip Hunter and Hawkgirl. Atom doesn't really interest me.
ReplyDeleteKoky he is leaving. Let him leave with style. ;-)
ReplyDeletethey can barely write for him in Arrow.
ReplyDeleteI can deal with a summer show, but that are 9 months or so. But end now in may/march for the 100/ and start in June is way to far away.
ReplyDeleteThey write for him to much, just his is obnoxious most of the time, at least for me.
ReplyDeleteyeh, it's mostly the flash/arrow carachters going I dislike, but the others idk much about them so it could still be good. The one I like from the arrow universe is Sarah and it might not be her though it still could be.
ReplyDeleteTo quote the wise Cisco Ramon "Yeah, nope. That's not gonna happen."
ReplyDeletewell isn't a "story on its own" an anthology?
ReplyDeletei still don't get why Cisco said that in Tuesday's episode
ReplyDeleteDid you see that operating system? It was so complicated there was no way he could figure it out before Eobard arrives.
ReplyDeleteI thought he said that because the technology behind Gideons' OS was far too advanced for him.
ReplyDeleteI hope if it's still Sarah that maybe they can make her a metahuman. I also want Rip Hunter to appear on the Flash.
ReplyDeleteWhere were you last night? You missed the party in the Flash comic preview thread.
ReplyDeleteI thought it was a team up show. Tales from the Darkside was the anthology show not this.
ReplyDeleteWhich makes you wonder how Barry was able (will be able?) to create it?
ReplyDeleteLoL! We'll send him right to Opal City. ^^
ReplyDeleteHmmmm! No clue, I saw the pic and was bored. Was it fun?
ReplyDeleteI discussed with someone something but no clue what.
He can go to the moon for all I care just as long as he stays away from Starling City and Central City lol
ReplyDeleteYeah we had so much fun, go read it.
ReplyDeleteNo, an anthology is when they reset their story and characters.
ReplyDeleteWhen I say a story on is own I mean a big bad on their own not messing with the other shows.
I just gonna bake a pie and will see what mess U maid without me.
ReplyDeleteP.S. I must be carefully one of my comments was erased yesterday. ^^
Wow out of all there pilots you'd think they'd be pushing this out as quickly as possible for the fall
ReplyDeleteOh Spin what did you do?
ReplyDeleteI can see it being a time-slot filler for flash and arrow, and both flash and arrow will go on break until March, for the final batch of episodes.
ReplyDeleteBut then that would mean either Arrow and Flash air more episodes until christmas, with between 10 -12 instead of nine, or both shows get a reduced order to 20 episodes, so the spin-off can fill its slot.
But then if they did reduce the order, then supernatural would be the only CW show to get the 23 episode order, not that its important.
So if Sara is in the spin-off, it gives time for her supposed return to be explored in early season 4 of Arrow for at least the first 5 episodes.
ReplyDeleteoh because it's because it premieres next year?
ReplyDeleteahh! ok yeah that'd be cool, but still want crossovers, who WOULD be Season 1's Big Bad?
ReplyDeleteohhh! ok thank you! i thought it was because Gideon's a female AI that it was female anatomy LOL
ReplyDeleteFor some reason, I don't care much about this show right now. Maybe that will change once we get the promo.
ReplyDeleteExactly. Since when is Barry a computer scientist?
ReplyDeleteThursdays at 8PM after Thursday Night Football completes, that's the timeslot I think they should give this show.
ReplyDeleteBut it doesn't deliver the ratings and in the end, to the CW, the ratings are what matter and what would be used to determine their schedule.
ReplyDeleteODA and others. I do feel special *blushes* LoL. So looks like we will see CL return only during first few episodes of season 4 Arrow. I don't want to wait that much time to know. I hope we get some idea during upfronts.
ReplyDeleteI have no idea. I mean I know one of his powers is fast learning but he doesn't retain the knowledge for too long, certainly not long enough to invent an AI!
ReplyDeleteYes. If shes in the spin-off, of course she has to appear on Arrow first before it. Too many loose ends to tie up, and you got Nyssa aswell, whom could be recurring on this show, or just for flashbacks.
ReplyDeleteBut we still have no clue about Sara's role, for all we know she could still be dead haha and only be in flashbacks for Nyssa's character.
Me too. I hope so as-well, I'm hoping/assuming that CL is in the season 3 final of Arrow, even a cameo. Otherwise her return is spoiled in the upfront preview, unless shes omitted and returns in the first episode of season 4, which would be one year/season since she died.
ReplyDeleteMG has confirmed on tumblr we won't see CL any more this season on Arrow. So maybe we will have to wait till season 4. We will get some news during upfronts.
ReplyDeleteaww okay thanks. Guess it will be in season 4. The first episode could also bring her back exactly a year after her first year death anniversary for timing lol
ReplyDeleteGuess we shall see at upfronts.
Technically he said she was done with all her episodes, could mean that she already filmed all her scenes not that we saw all of them.
ReplyDeleteSo we might see her in the finale. Yay!!!! I was disappointed thinking I have to wait till season 4. MG and his twisty words.
ReplyDeleteI remember during SDCC Andrew (I think) said that they had her contracted for 5 episodes, then they backtracked and said 3. So we have episodes 1,2, 11 (voice) and 13. That leaves one more episode. And didn't they say we will find out about how she's going to be in the spinoff by May? I'm guessing during the season finale of either Arrow or Flash.
ReplyDeleteOr they might reveal it during upfronts which is also in May. But given Arrow's pattern of shocking us we will most probably see Sara during the finale. It will be weird to see Sara coming back on The Flash rather than on Arrow. If CL is playing Sara I want her return on Arrow itself.
ReplyDeleteDeadline confirmed in its Pilot Buzz column today that a 3-minute presentation is in the works and it's already a lock for next season, although without a formal announcement yet. More or less, it's a sure thing now.
ReplyDeleteI don't remember the wording exactly but I think it implied that we will see it on the show. If they did go through with the Flashpoint story then we might see her on the Flash.
ReplyDeleteI was one of the others who submitted it haha
ReplyDeleteYeah makes no sense for her to appear on Flash first, would be better if its an Arrow episode first, with references to the flash story.
ReplyDeleteSo now we know the identity of 1 of the others. The plot thickens lol
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't make sense for her to come back at all lol
ReplyDeleteI accepted she died, because her death and mentions are brought up so much more than Moira or Tommy, even during season 1. But if shes back, I'll be a little happy, but accepted her death over time.
ReplyDeleteHer story being told in flashbacks through Nyssa, in a Nyssa centric episode, would of worked anyways if she stayed dead.
and when you get screeners, lucky
ReplyDeleteI think it will air on Fridays after ANTM ends..
ReplyDeleteHas it been confirmed that ANTM will move back to Fridays in October? It's gonna spend much of its upcoming season back on Wednesdays for two straight months.
ReplyDeleteI'd rather she be resurrected or say she never died at all on Arrow than showing her coming back via Flashpoint on Flash. The problem with Sara existing after Flashpoint is it will be a new timeline where Sara never died. Then Laurel will have had no motivation to become BC. I hope whatever stuff they are pulling out of their magic hat it happens on Arrow.
ReplyDelete*cough* Oracle*cough* LOL
ReplyDeleteI'd love to see Slade Wilson as Season 1's Big Bad on Legends of Tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteNot surprising at all.I cannot wait to see that 3 min trailer/presentation!
ReplyDeleteCool. One question about Arrow does anyone know how many seasons Arrow is planned for? 6?
ReplyDeleteAs many as the ratings are good enough to keep, don't be surprised if it runs for like 8-10 seasons.
ReplyDeleteThey originally mentioned a 5 year plan tied to the flashbacks. The cast I believe are currently contracted for 6 seasons. If we get more then that will depend on ratings.
ReplyDeleteAccording to deadline, the strongest CW fall pilots are Cordon and Tales from The Darkside, that leads me to believe their schedule will be:
ReplyDeleteMON: Cordon/The Originals
TUE: The Flash / Tales from The Darkside
WED: Arrow/ Supernatural
THU: The Vampire Diaries / iZombie
FRI: Jane The Virgin/ ANTM
It allows them to premiere two new dramas and Tales from The Darkside would be Legends of Tomorrow placeholder until midseason.
Slade?! really, although he's already been a Big Bad on Arrow
ReplyDeletewhat's ANTM?
ReplyDeleteHmm...well that's smart i suppose.
ReplyDeleteAmerica's Next Top Model
ReplyDeleteIdc about it either.
ReplyDeleteok. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteAmerica's Next top Model.
ReplyDeleteWill this season have guys again?
ReplyDeleteI think the low rated shows, JTV, Reign should do 13-16 episodes like the 100.
ReplyDeleteI think despite having their own 'story' what goes down in "The Flash" season finale will affect "Arrow" and "Legends of Tomorrow" ( at least I hope so ) tying them together forever.
ReplyDeleteI see time traveling Rip Hunter appearing in all three shows as the go between the three different universes / timelines.
I thought it was already confirmed it would be 13 episodes.
ReplyDeleteWith time traveling and stuff the 3 shows will always be connected. I even assume that there will be a crossover event to introduce the characters around eps 3-4 which will be the starting point for the show.
ReplyDeleteBut still I hope the show will have it's own focus and develop its story individually from Flarrow.
oh
ReplyDeleteIdk. I don't watch that series. Lol I just no the name, Tyra, and crazy women That go through "model boot camp" in order to be models. That's as far as my knowledge goes with that show.
ReplyDeleteThey wanted a male winner last season that they made Lenox, the last girl with the most potential to be model get cut before the final 3.
ReplyDeleteThe only official thing we know about it is that it's a midseason show. But not sure about that either.
ReplyDeleteOnly 12 more days until we get are first 'sneak peek' with the 3-minute teaser shown at the Upfronts !!!!
ReplyDeletehttp://www.spoilertv.com/2015/04/arrowflash-spin-off-potential-title-and.html
ReplyDelete"John Wesley Shipp referred to the Arrow/Flash Spin-Off as "Legends" and said that it will have 13 episodes."
I think either "Cordon", "Dead People", or "Cheerleader Death Squad" will appear in Oct and run until the middle of Jan then "Legends of Tomorrow" will take it's place come mid January.
ReplyDeleteNot really official. Can't count it as confirmation. ^_^
ReplyDeleteGotcha. But it most likely is though right ?
ReplyDelete13-16 most likely.
ReplyDeleteRather see Vandal Savage. It would be a great way to justify Hunter's time travel and he's a great villain.
ReplyDeleteJane does well with 22.
ReplyDeletean anthology can basically be described as a new storyline each episode with new characters and only similar themes. This however won't be an anthology
ReplyDeleteHe would be perfect for Arrow now as a baddie, since immortality is clearly a thing he could show up there.
ReplyDeleteI'd rather have OMAC (cashing in on Age of Ultron a bit like they did with ATOM/Iron Man) as a baddie, hunting down and assimiliating meta humans
I'm about 50% interested because Arthur Darvill and Caity Lotz.
ReplyDeleteThe biggest thing I am worried about is how much Ray Palmer will be involved. Is he the main character? If he is I don't think I'll be able to stick with it.
Omac wouldn't really be cashing in then, but if that's happening that's work since Palmer's suit is based on Omac.
ReplyDeleteWell Darhk seems to be our immortal going forward.
ReplyDeleteit would, a semi-evil machine going up against a team of superheroes?
ReplyDeleteDoubt that Darhk is immortal, since next season is supposed to deal with HIVE and Darhk already has ties to them in the comics I guess that his version of the League will be more military style
ReplyDeleteHe's at least 160. He's immortal.
ReplyDeletePerhaps Gideons creation is a way to introduce parallel universes? I don't believe it was ever mentioned what Barry's job was in the flashpoint universe, but a computer scientist would make sense.
ReplyDeletePerhaps an alternate universe Barry creates Gideon. So when he accidentally crosses over (or causes Flashpoint to happen) he is able to bring her back with him.
That's similar. Not cashing in.
ReplyDeleteOr season. If it were like American horror story.
ReplyDeleteis it confirmed that it's not an anthology?
ReplyDeleteYes.
ReplyDeleteso i can relax in knowing that it's a real series with seasons of the SAME characters, not DIFFERENT characters?
ReplyDeleteI'm really hoping for tech, like Yashida in Wolverine. Maybe the pit gave him youth for a while but recently he started aging quickly, that way they could get a reliable older actor for the part (plus I'm hoping that he's Felicitys father, if he's over 160 it'd add to her Mary Sue level so I'm against that)
ReplyDeleteTrue, that'd be an interesting concept though for a superhero series. Each season focusing on a new team
ReplyDeleteYou know what I mean with cashing in on something. Like Arrow did cash in on the success the Dark Knight trilogy had by copying its style.
ReplyDeleteCashing in isn't bad, it's actually giving material a chance to get better
Given its past history, I don't think CW will schedule two DC-superhero shows on the same night other than for a special event. It's highly possible that TVD will lose its cushy spot since it no longer is one of CWs elite shows. There's also the CBS/Supergirl factor and where it will be slotted, since it's probably considered to be an 8:00 show and also a given that WB will not allow any of their properties to go head-to-head on rival nets. The five DC shows this season (other than Flash/iZombie) are/were all on different nights. That will be difficult to maintain with the growing number of shows, But avoiding head-to-head timeslots remains doable.
ReplyDeleteI easily can see Supergirl on Thursday at 8 and LOT at 9 on Mon or Thur. ABC's Grey's Anatomy isn't the powerhouse it once was, and putting Supergirl there avoids Scandal and Murder.
And where does TBBT go? Back to mondays permanently?
ReplyDeleteCW concern about not creating a third male skewing night is not about other comic shows, they put Flash on the same night as SHIELD. It's avoiding football.
That's why they didn't put Flash on monday nights, not because of Gotham. Meanwhile, their female shows avoid something that does not overlap with them (football) but take every counterprogramming hit possible (DWTS, The Voice, ABC's TGIT).
Supergirl's best possibility is on wednesdays at 9 after Survivor. Arrow is one hour earlier and CBS is stronger than CW, also, it gets a young skewing lead in, not a procedural watched by people in their 60s.
She's not even a sue. The closest character to a sue in this show was Malcolm. Then his plans started failing.
ReplyDeleteAnd his age doesn't affect her. A sue is a flawless, perfect character.
ReplyDeleteSo she can't easily solve any issue with hacking a few things, is a flawless person and loved by everyone without any negative aspects to her personality?
ReplyDeleteTrue (he was a Gary Stu though) but actually was refreshing to see the villain win for a change
It would affect her sue status in terms of the classic Darth Vader way
ReplyDeleteNo.
ReplyDeleteShe's a Hollywood hacker with numerous insecurities, and emotional crap. Whose failed on this show, hell her plan on 3x20 and it's utter shirty ness speaks to her not being idealized.
ReplyDeleteNo Mac. She's not a sue. Ra's might be, Eobard Thawne potentially. But Felicity no.
ReplyDeleteShe has yet to show one negative side to her character. A Mary Sue can fail obviously.
ReplyDeleteAgree to disagree, the Mary Sue test says otherwise
ReplyDeleteRa's predecessor was destroying Alexandria, Egypt with Cholera in 1609 so Ra's 2.0 / 3.0 / 4.0 would have had to have been by his side to be chosen over Dark as the new Head of the Demon. Also it wouldn't make since for Ra's 2.0 to be giving up his throne after say 50 years well Ra's was around for 300.
ReplyDeleteI'd say Ra's 2.0 is at least 300 years old.
The said he stole water from the pit when he escaped.
ReplyDeleteHas Ra's real name been mentioned on Arrow so far ?
ReplyDeleteIn the comics it's Zift Al Boul right ?
So it wasn't our Barry who created it. Very plausible. But does that mean she knows the future of both timelines?
ReplyDeleteShe might, being technology she could remember things. Part of me wants to see Felicity meet Gideon though.
ReplyDeleteThat would be epic. What if she helped Barry create Gideon? Eobard did say that he "foresaw" great things from her. What if helping Barry create Gideon is one of them? That means our Barry did create Gideon.
ReplyDeleteI feel like Felicity has some other destiny. Potentially related to Oracle (thus the 'foresaw' hint) since Barbara Gordon apparently isn't going to be Oracle in Blackbirds.
ReplyDeleteI hope in season four Ra's Immortal father Sensei, daughter Talia and son Dusan are added to the Al Boul / Al Ghul bloodline and become Arrow's own 'Immortal' family like the Mikaelson of TVD / TO are.
ReplyDeleteOkay, I may be totally off base here, but I'm wondering if Barry even created Gideon. I don't know why, but after Barry realized that Wells had been watching all of them, I started thinking that Wells programmed or told Gideon to tell him that. I don't know. It's just a thought I had. You know my brain. It never shuts off. lol
ReplyDeleteI think Sara will appear in some form in the finale but the reveal of her alive is episode 22 of arrow where Ra's give Nyssa "shocking" news
ReplyDeleteWeren't there some problems with making her Oracle and that's why they changed the name of episode 5?
ReplyDeleteWhat would he gain from that? To give them a false sense of security?
ReplyDeleteWe need to do something about your theories and scenarios. This is getting out of hand lol
I believe officially they can do everything but actually use the name Oracle.
ReplyDeleteLOL. And I don't know, maybe. But like I said, it's just a thought.
ReplyDeleteI know this is off topic but how come they won't do a Spiderman TV show
ReplyDeleteI've always wondered that, too. Maybe it's too expensive. I don't know.
ReplyDeleteThat does not seem to track much with Gideon protecting them and all. But then Wells was still one step ahead so who knows.
ReplyDeleteI would not mind the cw trying the aos/agent carter/aos they pulled this year.
ReplyDeleteTBBT can move just about anywhere on the schedule and hold its audience. It should be in the 9:00 hour anyway.
ReplyDeleteCW (or rather WB) will not put a *DC* comicbook show on the same night as another *DC* comicbook show. However, it wants to establish anchors for each night and currently it only has them on Tuesday and Wednesday. It isn't concerned with when a Marvel product airs. Thursday at 8 is really the best slot from CW's viewpoint but it depends on where Supergirl lands.
We'll see where CBS schedules Supergirl. An 8:00 slot makes the most sense, and CBS won't be looking to a CW show as a lead-in even if it owns half of the network. But it definitely won't be opposite any of the CW shows, because WB will squash that. Sunday is an option for CBS that CW doesn't have, but then you have the NFL overrun problem during football season to deal with.
TftD getting The Flash lead-in? I don't see that happening.
ReplyDeleteYep, I still haven't warmed up to Ray.
ReplyDeleteI can't for summer 2016 to watch it as some people some to be thinking. I'll gladly take The 100 premiering in midseason over that.
ReplyDeleteReign absolutely does not deserve to be in the fall with those consistent 0.3s.
ReplyDeleteIt's the only male skewing pilot they have.
ReplyDeleteThen in case it flops, Legends of Tomorrow takes it.
I don't know, I'd like to see HIVE as the big bad on every show, maybe each one with someone taking the front, like Damien Dahrk on Arrow and someone else on the Flash, but in the end the same organization.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I know my theory doesn't really work, but Wells being one step ahead of them is what made me think of it.
ReplyDeleteOMAC would be nice, and would set up the appearance of Checkmate and Maxwell Lord, how's quite a big bad, he's ruthless, control minds, and kills a superhero in the comics.
ReplyDeleteIsn't TftD a 13 episode series like the 100?
ReplyDeleteIMO, Spider-Man on TV works better as an animated series than an actual live-action show.
ReplyDeleteReally the insecurities over Sara in season 2? The shitty judgement in 2x09, 3x11, 3x20 and countless other times. The anger and clouding her judgement mid-season 3. She's no sue she just doesn't have the f*cked up background of Oliver, Sara or Laurel.
ReplyDeleteRight except she's not.
ReplyDeleteThat's not happening. The villain for four is Darhk and HIVE.
ReplyDeleteWhat if CBS puts supergirl at 8 on a tuesday or wednesday opposite flash or arrow, then CW would probaly move that show to another night.
ReplyDeleteYour words on lost on me. I'm sorry, no offense but idc. It's really not my cup of tea. Great for the man, i guess? yeah? = /
ReplyDeleteHoD hit a bunch of 0,2s and got a winter spot. I could see Reign get one after ANTM ends. It starts earlier this year and should end tillmind november.
ReplyDeleteI knlw it doesn't deserves one but still wouldn't be okay for us to wait 12-13 months for new eps.
what? then who's Oracle in Blackbirds? all this time i thought it WAS Barbara Gordon
ReplyDeleteApparently she is just Barbara Gordon, ex-batgirl. She hasn't taken up the Oracle name apparently.
ReplyDeleteUnlikely since 1) CBS owns a stake of CW and 2) WB wouldn't allow two of its DC superhero properties to go head-to-head. CBS has as much interest in seeing CW succeed as WB.
ReplyDeleteI think The 100 will air after Arrow again on Wednesdays and then Legends of Tomorrow will take its place when it ends in mid-season.
ReplyDelete
