The Following - Episode 3.14 & 3.15 (Season Finale) - Promotional Photos *Updated*
6 May 2015
The FollowingUpdate: 13:13 FOX have just contacted us and admit they have made an error, and that the photos should read "Season" and NOT "Series" finale.
Update: 11:53 We've emailed FOX for clarification. As soon as we hear back we'll update you all.
Note: This is the episode description attached to the photos on the Fox Press Site. They seem to be referring to this as the Series Finale.
"THE FOLLOWING: Max (Jessica Stroup) is in pursuit of a suspect, in the special two-hour "Dead or Alive/The Reckoning" Series Finale episode of THE FOLLOWING airing Monday, May 18 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. ©2015 Fox Broadcasting Co. CR: Giovanni Rufino/FOX"
My guess is they have quietly cancelled it. They don't often make mistakes like that.
ReplyDeleteAll the other returning shows have "Season Finale" in their finale photo posts.
Wow.. this is out of the blue. I know it hadnt rated all that well since Season 1, but hmm... does seem like it COULD happen. There is no way the show will get any closure to it.
ReplyDeleteYep, the ratings have been pretty low and the sort of thing FOX would do quietly ;)
ReplyDeleteI mean really? Just like that? They could have announced it sooner.
ReplyDeleteSo it got cancelled.......NOOOOOOOOOO!!!
ReplyDeleteJust like that? This sucks And this season is killing me. I have fallen behind on this season but i still really adore the show. Although predictable, this is very sad. I thought it still had a small shot
ReplyDeleteThey could have at least done this sooner to give the writers the opportunity to wrap everything up. Mike isn't in any of these so I'm guessing he's dead by the finale, another blow.
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure they would have let the writers personally rather than finding out like this :)
ReplyDeleteThere is still a chance, albeit a slim one, that this is simply a mistake, but it does seem unlikely.
ReplyDeleteThis is depressing.
ReplyDeleteThere's been a few interviews from showrunners and cast members that make it sound as if they wrote a season finale, not a series finale. As of yesterday, one of the EPs said they were still waiting to hear from Fox what their fate was and the show wrapped filming 2 weeks ago.
ReplyDeleteIs there an expression yet for when FOX cancels a show? If not there should be.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the little bit of hope ;)
ReplyDeleteIn any case, we should know for sure today. Last year I believe FOX wrapped everything renewal/ cancel wise on Wednesday. Unless the Bones cast negotiation or the Mindy licensee fee triggering holds them up, I would expect the same behavior. That, and I am quite looking forward to some movement on the renewal and cancellation front anyway ;)
In that case... ouch :(
ReplyDeleteWow, at least ABC had the decency to officially announce Revenge was cancelled.
ReplyDeleteMaybe they were planning to wait until the Upfronts next week to make a public announcement?
ReplyDeleteYay! Its not officially cancelled yet. I thought it might be an error. Heres still hoping it gets renewed.
ReplyDeleteWe have a reprieve.

ReplyDeleteWHATT!It's not cancelled!
Yessss!!!
good news. i love the show. i cant wait to see what will happen with hardy/Joe dinamic
ReplyDeleteSounds like a cover up to me, how could someone make such a mistake?
ReplyDeleteYep, I think the same.
ReplyDeleteDead or alive? Max trying to find mike? I hope he doesn't die. He's the only reason I still watch the show.
ReplyDeleteno photo about Mike...why?
