    What if Liz is the one who caused the fire that killed her dad/parents?
    Maybe she got scared by whatever Red was doing and ended up causing a fire (nocking sth over or whatever), so SHE is the one who killed her father/parents, but only because she got scared by Red.
    Red feels guilty because his actions ended up causing a little girl to be responsible for her father's/parent's death(s). THAT is one of the reasons he won't tell her what happened. So that she won't blame herself (and Red) for the death.
