It’s been barely 48 hours since the CW passed on the Tales from the Darkside reboot, and I hear there are multiple outlets that have reached out to inquire about the project. I hear the list of the interested parties, none of which has seen the pilot yet, include cable networks Syfy, MTV, VH1 and possibly streaming service Hulu.
A remake of the 1980s horror/fantasy/thriller anthology series, Tales From The Darkside, starring Kris Lemche, hails from writer Joe Hill, producers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci and CBS TV Studios. With its anthology format, the project was considered a risky proposition for the CW but the pilot was well received and was in contention at the network.
