Go, POI!
ReplyDeleteThanks again to everyone who participated, I enjoyed running this. Until next year...
ReplyDeleteAlso congrats to all POI fans for taking 6(!) out of 13 awards, Outlander for 2 and the rest of the winners aswell.
ReplyDeleteLooks like Person of Interest won all it could.
ReplyDeleteYeah, why don't you just cancel it CBS? /s
Awesome! Go POI!
ReplyDeleteSo PoI takes them all. I just don't get how PoI is a sci-fi drama? 0.o I don't watch the show but didn't thought it was about that.
ReplyDeleteThanks for running the polls and awards Babar. Great stuff.
ReplyDeleteNice to see so much love for Person of Interest!
Artificial Intelligence :)
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised we managed to snag as many awards as we did, well done PoI fans.
ReplyDeleteNot a single thing I voted for won. A couple things I nominated did, though, and I got a couple runner ups, so that's something.
ReplyDeleteKinda can't believe that on this site, The 100 got one second runner-up, no first runner-ups and no wins. Were all those fans asleep or on no tech vacations or something? I expected something of a blow-out for all their nominated categories.
Two sparring artificial intelligences sounds pretty sci-fi to me.
ReplyDeleteHell yes POI! This show deserves all the awards. All of them.
ReplyDeletePerson of Interest rules all.
ReplyDeleteThanks for running Babar (and for the plug of the episode comp ;) )
You are welcome :)
ReplyDeleteAham, they have that too! Good for them. ^_^
ReplyDeleteI don't watch but didn't thought they anything sci-fi related in their stories.
Pleasantly surprised Galavant got new comedy but that is the only winner I care for but that is usually the case with Spoiler TV polls anyway for me.
ReplyDeleteDamn, nothing I voted for won :/ The 100, The Librarians and Zooey at least made the top 3 :)
ReplyDeleteThe number votes The 100 got in it's 2 categories are hugely different, Jason tweeted out a link to the one with higher number tho.
Thanks for running this :) It was fun participating even if nothing I voted for won!
Person of Interest FTW
ReplyDeleteArrow, seriously?!?!? The third season was so bad. The 100 deserved that Spot IMO
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Person of interest! It is not a ratings hit, but a Fan favorite
ReplyDeleteI am really really really looking forward to the episode cup!!
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome :)
ReplyDeleteSurprised POI beat Outlander; Outlander has been getting so many votes lately that I was sure it would slay. Good for POI!
ReplyDeleteI wish The 100 would have won a category though :/
Great, thank you Babar! :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats to all the winners. Many of them are even my choices ;) Yay, Person of Interest!
I love Person of Interest. Awesome POI.
ReplyDeleteAbout time we see POI up there!
ReplyDeleteThanks for putting this together Babar!
Six from six that it was eligible for, I believe? That's unbelievably impressive.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear it :)
ReplyDeletePOI is a sci-fi/fantasy show? I didn't know that. I thought it was just the typical cop procedural and never had any interest in it, knowing this I may pick the show up now.
ReplyDeleteIt used to be mostly procedural at first but the seeds were there and flourished by the end of Season 2. If you can't stand procedurals, there are catch-up guides online that filter out the episodes that basically are irrelevant to the overall story (while others might have plot points or flashbacks as character insight) :)
ReplyDeletePlease do! The first season is indeed pretty procedural, with the number-of-the-week thing going on, but all of the episodes, or almost, bring a new piece to the puzzle via flashbacks. POI uses flashbacks perfectly and they are never boring!
ReplyDeleteOh god, three episodes. That will be incredibly hard. I already know which three episodes i will submit
ReplyDeleteYep, I've been struggling for the past couple of weeks to decide on mine.
ReplyDeleteMake sure to check the site on Monday when nominations open :)
i'm not gonna lie, i'm really disappointed ;(
ReplyDeletenone of my shows made it lol
It doesn't get more sci-fi than an AI communicating directly with human beings to tell them where to aim with their gun.
ReplyDeleteSee that CBS? There's a lot of love for POI.
ReplyDeleteIt pretty much started that way although it was always a little bit more than that, It didn't appeal to me at first either but in season 3 the procedural elements took a step aside and the writers tried a more serialized approach. A change for the better in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteExactly.
ReplyDeleteAlso, The Big Bang Theory took all 3 it could.
I can only see 5, not 6. What am I missing?
ReplyDeleteI can't see the %/numbers when I click on the links :/
ReplyDeleteYep i dont see the percentage either
ReplyDeleteIn your face, CBS
ReplyDeleteCan see it but only the % for the polls I voted for ;)
ReplyDeleteWow, what a clean sweep for PoI, big cheers! I wish this enthusiasm would show in next season's numbers. (Though obviously fans like me has already been stuck in front of the tv on Tuesday nights anyhow.)
ReplyDeleteI'm very happy with Outlander's good run too, this show is a rare example when the adaptation is even better than the source book.
Surprised that Castle was so much behind of PoI at each category - previously the winner was a done deal if the show or Stana were on any list. (Not true: "if Supnat, BatB, Castle and/or their leads were on the list" would be more precise.)
This!
ReplyDeleteYay for POI!!
ReplyDeletenone of the other polls are showing % beside favorite new drama not sure if you have same thing
ReplyDeleteFor me the only ones showing % are crime drama (POI 44%, Castle 21%, Blacklist 10%) fav drama actress (Amy 51%, Emily 17%, Stana 16%) fav drama actor (Michael 37% stephen 20%, Sam 20%)
ReplyDeleteI really surprised me POI won in all that categories. I didn't even know it has that many fans on spoilertv.
ReplyDeleteWow, way to go, Person of Interest fans!
ReplyDeleteThrilled to see Outlander up there so many times; I can't sing enough praises for the show and I'm glad other people agree!
The only real surprise is not seeing Daredevil win any. I was certain many people were voting for it!
Go POI !!! And a finger to you, CBS!
ReplyDeletePOI ftw !
ReplyDeleteTry to cancel THAT!
Woah, we're done?
ReplyDeleteI thought there was more voting to be done, haha. Still, I voted for some of the winners. Yay!
- Favorite Network Comedy was an easy choice for me, so good job TBBT!
- Favorite Network Drama isn't surprising since POI is a phenomenal series, but really surprised Arrow is a runner-up and not The Flash.
- And TOTALLY surprised The Flash didn't win for New Network Drama.
- New Comedy and Favorite Cable Comedy winners don't surprise me either. Galavant was just perfection, imo, and Yahoo! Screen seems like a great home for Community.
- I have to find out what's so special about Outlander since it beat out GoT for Favorite Cable Drama. Maybe I should finally check it out now.
- An obvious win for Crime Drama for POI, but didn't think it'd win for Sci-Fi/Fantasy, either. Again, thought the latter would be a prime win for The Flash.
- And as for the respective wins for the actors and actresses, I voted for the same people expect for Favorite Actor in a Drama...Emerson just feels too much like Linus at times in POI, but glad that Amell was the 1st runner-up.
I love that arrow manage to runner up behind POI....but if you look at the polls it not even close
ReplyDeletePOI on Fire, amazing show.
ReplyDeleteSame here, but it's nothing new.
ReplyDeletePOI Kicked so much #ss
ReplyDeleteThey should have waited this poll before cancelling Forever ... :p
ReplyDeleteI'm glad and not surprised for POI .
I love the show how did that jim cavizel not get an award. He not get an award.
ReplyDeleteSo how did that finch guy and the lassie get an award but that mr reese guy is the good man giy he is amazing he should have got an award like
ReplyDeleteIf I'd known about this poll I would have voted. My favs came in second. That's OK.
ReplyDeleteHi

It's changed a LOT since its first season. Total trojan horse - Nolan & company disguised it as a procedural so they could sneak in a brilliant commentary on the dangers of artificial intelligence and human complacency. With awesome shootouts and a dog named Bear.
ReplyDeletelol wut ? Lassie ?
ReplyDeleteIt was the #22nd most watched network show last season with an average of 12.1 million viewers. The only reason it's in danger is because CBS doesn't own it and can't make money on reruns.
ReplyDeleteI like Jim too, maybe a staff member will tell you how far he was from the top 6 actors . tbh even tho Jim is good actor, I think it will be always about Emerson&Acker, they're just phenomenal actors ;)
ReplyDeleteDelw
ReplyDeleteFavorite TV Drama Actor
ReplyDeleteMichael Emerson 37%
Stephen Amell 20%
wow congratulations Person of Interest, Amy and Michael. Well deserved.
ReplyDeleteIf you guys haven't watched the show go check it. The Machine is watching you.
Congrats also to the
other shows and actors who won. :)

Favorite New Comedy - ABC
alright glad to see Forever win!!! no we just need another network to pick it up for season 2!!!
ReplyDeleteYEAHHHH Person of Interest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! <3
ReplyDeleteTalk about a clean sweep. Real happy for my favorite show!
ReplyDeleteBut in honesty, the one with "Crime Drama" makes little sense, as that was not one of its strong suits this year. It wasn't terrible, but not worth writing home about either.
But the other 4.... I would've accepted nothing less!
Person of interest wins big! LOL. I just wish OUAT won something.
ReplyDeleteGo Person of Interest! That show doesn't seem to get enough love. Glad it did here, even if it's just a "silly internet poll".
ReplyDeleteCongrats to all the winners! But I'm disappointed that neither Sam Heughan nor Caitriona Balfe won. It's just not right because both are the best actors TV has to offer in their categories right now. Looks like the Olicity (Oliver & Felicity) fans cheated again (we've had this happen before, in different polls on different sites). I've never even heard of the actor who won in Best Drama category (I don't watch POI, not of interest to me, sorry)
ReplyDeleteBut... I'm really proud that Outlander outnumbered Game of Thrones.
Yeah Galavant! :D
ReplyDeleteAgent Carter beat out The Flash? Wow...that's kind of surprising.
ReplyDeleteand a crap load of shot kneecaps.
ReplyDeleteWell... You see, Reese is a good guy, really. But that's just it. Nothing outstanding. Just simple good guy.
ReplyDeleteLooks like the POI fandom was out in force this year. Well done to them! I really don't think it should have been in the Sci-Fi/Fantasy category, but what the hell.
ReplyDeleteAs much as I love POI, I am to say the least, quite curious where this sudden outpouring for the show is coming from. They are doing exceptionally well in my May Madness event right now as well.... BUT, I don't see any referrals to the site from fan boards or twitter or anywhere.
ReplyDeleteKinda thinking Finch is real & has managed to hack all these awards. Very out of left field dominance this year IMO. It might explain how the show was nominated for sci-fi lol.
Also, yay for Galavant.
Also, yay for Community (although I wanted Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt to win)
Thanks again for running them guys.
Forever beat The Flash?!?Shocking!
ReplyDeleteHappy to see POI,Outlander winning major awards. So deserving!
The Poll links should now show correctly the %/votes. There was a bug that was causing them not to display for everyone. This has been fixed.
ReplyDeleteHa, yep, the Machine has been voting for Finch ;)
ReplyDeleteWe had a lot of referrals from Facebook groups who were very active promoting the polls as well as pushing for a longer season and renewal. Seems the POI have grouped together well.
Thanks, interesting to see it by Network. Normally CW shows do a lot better historically.
ReplyDeleteI guess there is still hope for CBS since you didn't give them the ole double finger, lol!
ReplyDeleteNot all procedurals are created equal! :)
ReplyDeletePlease do check it out but make sure you watch from the beginning,it is well worth it. For all the reasons MT, Bluebomb, and everyone else mentioned.
Kaley Cuoco????!!!HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA....No comments for this one. I've always wanted to watch Person Of Interest, it seems very interesting. I'll give it a try!!!
ReplyDeleteFunny on forever being #1 yet cancelled, wow did they get that one wrong.
ReplyDeleteWow great shows and actors, I am so happy about Galavant..loved that series and surprised to see it coming back.
ReplyDeleteI think STV polls are better because it is only ONE VOTE.
ReplyDeleteI think they are definitely run better yes, some of the other polls on like EOnline just encourage block voting. But for me my personal tastes are usually out of sync with the most popular shows on the site.
ReplyDeleteWow, that must be some kind of record: not a single show I currently watch.
ReplyDeleteWay to go POI....well deserved!!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Person Of Interest, deserves it!!
ReplyDeleteWow, only two of my votes actually won. (TBBT and Jim P.) Other than that, my votes were either first or second runner up. I'm not too upset about it, they still got in there, so I'm good.
ReplyDeleteThank you for running it!
ReplyDeleteT'was fun!
ReplyDeleteHaha, yeah I voted on some categories with the assumption Arrow & SPN were going to win it anyways, so if they were my fave in the category I just went for 2nd fave.
ReplyDeleteYes, Outlander! Favorite new show.
ReplyDeleteCBS need to see this page, they need to wake up and smell the disaster they are about to unleash when they decided to possibly on order 13 episodes for Season 5 of POI and not return this amazing show until January, are they barking mad? And what of the owners of this fabulous show, are they just going to stand by and allow CBS to tank their masterpiece. WTF! Are they looking for another network who will bring the series back in September and give it a full season. This is such a stupid move from CBS's point of view, they are tanking their best show because it is not bringing in the money it once was. Did it ever occur to them that when they moved it from Thursday at 9pm to Tuesday at 10pm is when rating started to slide downwards. All they need to do is schedule it for 9pm Thursday, and evict Elementary. That show is not rating where it is so why does it deserve such a plum time-slot. Get a clue CBS, and put Person of Interest back where it belongs, in a 9pm timeslot with a show that the younger crowd watch as it's lead in. For once can a TV network please listen to the fans, instead of focusing on the bank balance. This show will make the money you want if you give the show the respect it deserves. If anyone here agree with all of that, then get on Twitter and tweet support, fans of POI from all over the globe will be tweeting their support for the show during the screening of a repeat episode on CBS, now is our chance to get the message across to the network. Tweet #DreamsOfInterest live from 8pm ET, 5pm PT, Sunday at 1-2am in UK/parts of Europe and Sunday at 10 am in Australia. We are hoping to get as many people as possible on Twitter at the same time as this episode is screening to get the networks and Warner Bros attention. The fact that CBS do not own this show is probably a blessing, it might mean that the owners are free to negotiate with another network to pick up the show. God I hope so.
ReplyDeleteObviously they don't or they would rethink their stupid decisions. Man I thought the ABC network were tossers when it came to listening to their viewers, turns out CBS are worse. If I did not love the Good Wife so much I would ditch this network forever.
ReplyDeletePOI won everything because it is a masterpiece of a show. It began as a procedural but from the very beginning I could see it had way more potential. The POI creators and writer should be winning every award available in this industry, this show is excellently written and acted. It is unique, I have never seen a show like this. Two AI's going up against each other and that's not even how it starts out. The story that we fans are in the middle of is about to be cut short thanks to CBS's wisdom to not see what's right in front of them. I really the writers and creators are fighting CBS on this idiotic decision to bring this show back in winter, and only give them 13 eps. They are killing the best show on TV. I have never fought so hard for a TV show, and I have been a lover of Grey's Anatomy for years, the writers at POI have so much more they want to do with this story and I really hope that they get the chance. CBS are not getting the number in the demo, that is why they feel the need to kill this show, do they think if they put something in its place that it will do better than POI, go back and check the ratings of Elementary for the last two seasons, I do not think it did very well. All they need to do is put POI back into the Thurs 9pm timeslot, the fans will do the rest. Have some faith CBS or give this amazing show to another network.
ReplyDeleteWhen a great show like Person of Interest is threatened, which it is. CBS plan to bring it back in January with 13 episodes, this will kill it unless CBS change their minds, or another network picks it up. I am praying for the latter. This amazing show is under-fire, I was well aware of how many people love POI so I am not surprised at all the fans coming out and protesting this stupid move by CBS. It has a huge following in Australia, but we are forced literally to pirate this series, because our network here do not care about the fans. It is all about showing these stupid reality shows on prime time that cost less to make, it is insanity. You cannot tell me Nine Network Australia that buying the rights to POI costs more than putting together a Season of Big Brother, give me a break. And then the Australian networks piss and moan about all the people in Australia who illegally download TV shows, what the HELL do they expect.
ReplyDeleteYeah too true DebraFan, up yours CBS!
ReplyDeleteSlow motion, if you are up for it at 8pm ET or 5pm PT or 1-2am UK/Europe time, or even 10 am on Sunday for Australians, there is a huge campaign to save Person of Interest on Twitter, come and live tweet your support for POI, You are right slowmotioncity, POI does not get nearly enough love, especially from its own network, CBS. They do not deserve to have the rights to this show, because what they are planning will kill it and the only people who can save it now are the fans, we need to tell the networks how much we love this show.
ReplyDeleteIt's funny, but I really do not see POI as science fiction, it is more of a crime cyber drama thriller to me. I guess it could fit under the science fiction because of the two AI's trying to destroy each other, but that's about it and there is so much more to this show than the competition between the two AIs
ReplyDeleteDeby, you definitely should, and you won't regret it I promise, however you should start from season 1 and work your way through to season 4, otherwise certain things will not make sense.
ReplyDeleteWe are only just seeing Forever in Australia, I saw it advertised for Channel nine the other day, so if another network does not grab it then it is only going to get one season, and I have seen a lot of people talking about this show, is it a CBS show?
ReplyDeleteThank you for the tip. I'll certainly watch it. I was always so curious about this show.
ReplyDelete
