Out of the choices I guess I'd go with:
ReplyDeleteDaredevil
N/A
There are lots of cable shows I prefer though, disappointed Penny Dreadful didn't make it but not surprised.
Daredevil & Person of Interest!
ReplyDeleteGame of Thrones and Chicago PD.
ReplyDeleteVoted for Outlander as I didn't caught up with OB and Daredevil, not a big GoT fans.
ReplyDeleteAnd voted accidentally for who knows what as my chubby uncordinated fingers accidentally pressed a column.
Game of Thrones and Person of Interest.
ReplyDeleteIt was hard to pick Favorite Cable Drama. I could have easily voted for any of them.
ReplyDeleteThe Walking Dead (I would have chosen Banshee)
ReplyDeleteCriminal Minds
The Walking Dead and Person of Interest. Today was actually relatively easy
ReplyDeleteOrphan Black and Criminal Minds
ReplyDeleteOutlander and Person of Interest.
ReplyDeleteHonorable Mention: Game of Thrones.
Yeah the term crime drama is a fbif vague. Does Scorpion count? Does Arrow count? Or is it strictly police force centered shows?
ReplyDeleteGame of Thrones is my favorite cable drama.
ReplyDeleteI don't watch any crime drama right now
Person Of Interest, that is all!
ReplyDeleteJust Bones for me.
ReplyDeleteGame Thrones
ReplyDeleteLOL i do not watch any crime dramas
Cable Drama - Very hard but I went with Daredevil
ReplyDeleteCrime Drama - Didn't vote, don't watch any of the nominated shows.
Game of Thrones - and nothing. The only crime drama I actually liked was The Mentalist.
ReplyDeleteFavorite Cable Drama-Daredevil.
ReplyDeleteFavorite Crime Drama-Castle.
Please watch Daredevil ASAP,it's amazing!
ReplyDeleteNot terribly invested in any of the cable dramas, but glad I could vote for NCIS.
ReplyDelete'The Walking Dead' and nothing.
ReplyDeleteSubmitted 'American Crime' but I guess it didn't make it!
Person of Interest
ReplyDeleteOutlander and NCIS for me
ReplyDeleteNone of my nominations made it for either category and I don't watch any of these shows regularly lol
ReplyDeleteI watched the first 3 eps( and liked them), will catch up these days I promise. Most likely by the end of next week.
ReplyDeleteUgh, nothing* again. It's getting boring.
ReplyDelete*I won't vote fot TWD cause last season was awful.
Please let me know what did you think about the series after you watch it.I'll be waiting.
ReplyDeleteTBL & Orphan Black
ReplyDeleteGame of Thrones and Person of Interest!
ReplyDeleteGOT & Criminal Minds
ReplyDeleteSo hard choices today for crime drama. My vote went for NCIS:LA but I must say NCIS share first place with NCIS:LA. Castle would be my 3rd choice.
ReplyDeleteGame of Thrones and Chicago PD.
ReplyDeleteOrphan Black & POI were a close second.
Game of thrones and Bones
ReplyDeleteDon't worry I will. ^_^
ReplyDeleteNow I can vote for Person of Interest!
ReplyDeleteGames of Thrones and POI.
THIS is a very good question. Guggenheim has always categorized Arrow as a 'crime drama', but I suspect it borderlines more on not being one because Arrow doesn't really focus on the crime aspect as much as the other shows listed in the poll.
ReplyDeleteI really wish Arrow did, though. I mean....if Arrow had a long subplot of gang wars, that would just make Arrow even more impressive.
Cable Drama was hard, again. Went with Daredevil, but any of the other does it the same (except The Walking Dead, the only one I don't watch).
ReplyDeleteAnd the easy one, Person of Interest, no contest there.
Daredevil and Person of Interest.
ReplyDeleteI mean Arrow was pretty much a crime series during season 1. Later in S02 it changed.
ReplyDeleteI even voted for Arrow during the nominations, cause I didn't really know the line.
But okay, Arrow is nominated in enough categories. ^^
I went with Chicago PD, but I love so many of those crime dramas!
ReplyDeleteFinally an easy one (for me):
ReplyDeleteOutlander
N/A
The Blacklist - Game of Thrones/Walking dead.
ReplyDeleteOrphan Black and Person of Interest for me.
ReplyDeleteI really did enjoy this season of TWD besides a few eps, but Orphan Black is just getting so good & Tat is as incredible as ever. Plus I for one find Ari Millen's castor boys a pleasant surprise... so my votes for OB.
ReplyDeleteI believe you would legitimately love POI, maybe even more than I do, if you get past the procedural aspect of it all. It's not really a crime drama IMO.
ReplyDeleteI would say Arrow was a crime drama in Season 1 but it evolved past it.
ReplyDeleteI plan on watching it at some point during this summer. Now that I'm through Heroes, I only need to make up my mind to get through S1 (the first 5 episodes didn't compell me at all, but I hear POI gets MUCH better later on)
ReplyDeleteYes, it does! You are through with Heroes already?? Wow!
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I cheated with Heroes: S3 was becoming so unbearable that I skipped to S4's ending and filled the gap with summaries and stuff.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, S3A was such a giant mess that I just didn't want to watch anymore, so I saw the S4 finale to see where things were headed... it didn't look pretty.
Sylar as a good guy? Peter believing him after all he did? Ugh, just no.
So, for my sanity, I just stopped watching. I may have gone through the whole series if S3A wasn't such a mess of epic proportions
Game of thrones (obviously) and person of interest : EASY CHOICES TODAY
ReplyDeleteYou see that crime aspect here and there, but never from beginning to end as you saw on Daredevil, which is quite frankly disappointing. Arrow could have been a great full-on crime drama because that's an aspect you really expect while making a "grounded" show/movie. It's what you got in The Dark Knight Trilogy and it's what you got in Daredevil.
ReplyDeleteGame of Thrones and had to vote for Person of Interest since the best crime drama Blue Bloods wasn't there.
ReplyDeletewhat exactly does arrow need to consider a "crime drama" does that consider to gang/organized crime and small time thief.
ReplyDeleteThis is an easy one - Daredevil & Person of Interest.
ReplyDeleteAh, that makes more sense. For the record though, 3B is by faaaaar my favorite non S1 portion of Heroes and I rather liked that part. It had a horrible ending twist which you probably already know what it is but it had some awesome stuff happen too and I loved how most of the stuff had them all on the same side. The Tracy stuff in that arc is amazing too. They ruined Nathan's character in the process but it was a somehow worthy sacrifice to me.
ReplyDeleteThe Walking Dead - Honourable mention - Daredevil
ReplyDeleteThe Blacklist - Honourable mention - Castle & POI
Cable was easy for me, The Walking Dead. Crime Drama was impossible as I watch all of those shows. But in the end I chose Person Of Interest.
ReplyDeleteGoT and The Blacklist
ReplyDeleteIt was pretty much a crime drama till Slade revealed himself to Oliver. Maybe with the HIVE arrival and them infiltrating the city, they return to that aspect. But yeah this season besides the Brick arc there wasn't anything crime related.
ReplyDeleteDaredevil and Chicago PD, but I also love The Blacklist
ReplyDeleteOrphan Black and Person of Interest.
ReplyDeleteDaredevil and Castle :)
ReplyDeleteDaredevil and Game of Thrones are excellent shows, but Outlander ultimately gets my vote.
ReplyDeleteAs for the Crime Drama, it's a no-brainer for me: The Blacklist!
The Walking Dead is Amazing?
ReplyDeleteNCIS!
ReplyDeleteIt was a toss up between Orphan Black and GoT, but because I'm having issues with GoT recently, I gave it to Orphan Black.
ReplyDeleteAnd
Castle.
Yeah, if this was last season my vote would have gone to GoT. But this season has just been meh in comparison.
ReplyDeleteI don't understand your question, but what I can gather in your comment, I would categorize "crime drama" as something that's dealing with the criminal level and it's not really a "baddie" in one episode at a time as you could say The Flash is a "crime drama" as well. Not, it needs to deal with the criminal underworld such as the gangs and mobs and you rarely see that on Arrow even when Guggenheim categorizes Arrow as a "crime drama".
ReplyDeleteFor me, Castle. Nothing more.
ReplyDeleteI voted for Castle for my Favorite Crime Drama of 2015, and I voted for Outlander for my Favorite Cable Drama of 2015. An honorable mention goes to Game of Thrones.
ReplyDeleteYou should get on PoI. If you love Blacklist, you will love PoI
ReplyDeleteDaredevil and Person of Interest.
ReplyDeletePoi is definitely better though. One of the best shows on TV.
ReplyDeleteMy picks as well. Both are amazing.
ReplyDeletePoi is just amazing. One of the best shows on TV...
ReplyDeleteYes it is. Watched all of it on 1 day.
ReplyDeleteThe Walking Dead & The Blacklist
ReplyDeleteAlright, that first category was really hard, but I'm going to continue to support Orphan Black, and then for crime drama, I went with POI!
ReplyDeleteYou mean Person of Interest? I should check out the pilot, I don't know too much about it.
ReplyDeleteI ahd to vote for Dareddevil. It really had an outstanding first season.
ReplyDeleteSecond one: The Blacklist,
We have great taste. :)
ReplyDeleteOrphan Black & Chicago PD.
ReplyDeleteDaredevil - NCIS
ReplyDeleteBones for ever
ReplyDeleteYou should!? It's a very relevant theme/story to today's world written with intelligence, humor, and lots of kick-ass action. I love Blacklist, but that show really depends on Spader; PoI has a cast where everyone brings something different :)
ReplyDeleteDaredevil.
ReplyDeletePerson of interest.
So many shows I love watching in Best Crime Drama...
ReplyDeleteCastle and Outlander.
Many of my cable drama favorites not nominated, so I went with Daredevil that was very very good.
ReplyDeleteDon't watch too many crime dramas these days, so the other one went to Blacklist
Correct!!!!!
ReplyDeleteNot too keen on any of the choices today so I went with Outlander even though I haven't seen a single episode since it returned and NCIS:LA, although I mostly watched it this season because it came on after Scorpion. I prefer the cancelled police dramas like Backstrom and Battle Creek more this year.
ReplyDeleteDaredevil
ReplyDeleteNCIS: Los Angeles
Criminal Minds. The characters, the crimes, the profiles, everything.
ReplyDeleteIf I remember correctly, you don't like some of the explicit content of some cable shows, right? I could be mistaking you for another person here...
ReplyDeleteBut I just wanted to give you a heads up that when/if you decide to catch up on Outlander, things get pretty grim in 1.15.
Thanks for the warning. You're right. I do not most pay cable shows because they are too explicit with gratuitous sex, nudity, and language. For the most part, Outlander walked that line well in the first part. I'm sorry to hear that it's going in the other direction now.
ReplyDeleteNCIS:LA <3
ReplyDeleteThe Mentalist!!! FOREVER!!!
ReplyDeleteDaredevil
ReplyDeleteChicago PD
The Walking Dead
ReplyDeleteThe Blacklist
So hard. GoT or Orphan Black?
ReplyDeleteWhy is the crime drama voting closed but not cable drama?
ReplyDelete
