CBS Passes on Sneaky Pete, NBC Passes on Cuckoo and Strange Calls *Updated*
May 9, 2015
Pilot ShowsUpdate: NBC has also passed on comedy pilot Strange Calls starring Danny Pudi.
Per deadline, drama pilot Sneaky Pete has been passed on by CBS. NBC has passed on comedy pilot Cuckoo.
I'm a sucker for David Shore's work, and this did sound interesting... so colour me bummed... :(
ReplyDeleteThis is the first real bummer for me (with Taxi-22).
ReplyDeleteShame. This was one of the few pilots that I was actually interested in.
ReplyDeleteWow wasn't there a penalty for not picking this up?
ReplyDeleteI am really annoyed with CBS and NBC for not announcing the renewals.
ReplyDeleteCuckoo or Sneaky Pete?
ReplyDeleteNBC already renew their show already though.....chicago, BL, grimm, SVU, I sure there a few left...... CBS will likely tell us before 8 hopefully
ReplyDeleteI think NBC will also renew Undateable and one out of TNS and Laura
ReplyDeleteIKR! I thought for sure tonight would have been the renewals..
ReplyDeleteI want to know Doubt's fate!
ReplyDeleteIts already past 8pm on the east coast.
ReplyDelete8 pm pacific probably........ABC was late too
ReplyDeleteI am done for the day. Off to sleep now. Hope I don't wake up to a bunch of renewals and/or cancellations.
ReplyDeleteBut why do all the bad press part (cancellations) and then stop for hours until the renewals? Seem very weird to me. but both CBS and NBC did this
ReplyDeleteLooks like Griffin Gluck's streak broke. His pilots have been picked up in the last two years.
ReplyDeleteBut last minute decisions (i.e. tomorrow) are most fun!
ReplyDeleteStephen Amell is nice, he has just tweeted that he would guest star on Constantine wherever it would be picked up.
ReplyDeleteI need to sleep though lol
ReplyDeleteSo never?
ReplyDeleteI just got an hour and a half worth sleep because I could keep my eyes open anymore.
ReplyDeleteProbably yeah, but it is nice of him to try to help out
ReplyDeleteI am almost falling too. The problem for me was that yesterday I only slept 4 hours so now I am really tired.
ReplyDeleteCSI news!
ReplyDeleteI am seriously sleep deprived right now, and we still have upfronts week to go.
ReplyDeleteI could be wrong too but a post I read on deadline I think led me to believe sneaky Pete had penalty but maybe not idk
ReplyDeleteNo Strange Calls?!?!?!?! Ugh!!!!!!! NBC has done very little right today. Are the execs all just smoking meth in their boardroom and drinking vast amounts of liquor? Seriously, WTF. And they renew one of the most mediocre freshman shows they have?
ReplyDeleteo_O
Because it is from 20th Century FOX studios, I really would love for FOX to pick this show up. It has great potential. It could fit with Last Man on Earth.
ReplyDeleteBummed over Strange Calls too. :(
ReplyDeleteBuuh on Strange Calls but honestly, it would have bombed on NBC.
ReplyDeleteSo I guess NBC is done with orders, and it looks like they might just stick to the 6 comedies they have (I'm hoping they pass on Problem Child soon).
ReplyDeleteThey have a lot less comedy ordered this year than last year. It's almost crazy to think that they might go into next season with only 2 single-cam comedies.
Like I said earlier, almost every comedy bombs on NBC. NBC should be hoping that Telenovella and Coach bring in good ratings.
ReplyDeleteI think that is because, in a way, these variety shows "count" as comedies, so they take up a lot of space.
ReplyDeleteI really hope Telenova and Superstore do well, but I highly doubt it.
ReplyDeleteWas Odd couple picked up for S02?
ReplyDeleteNothing has been announced so far. Honestly, if they picked Cyber, they are probably picking TOC too.
