  1. And my enthusiasm for this show just keeps on dropping.

  2. I actually enjoyed his storyline but I wonder what will they do now. Act as he died or went away?

  3. Budget cuts?

Actually i should be doing this but i actually don't mind.Never found this character appealing in the first place,so.......

  5. And the actress who plays jenny is in a cw pilot so she might not return either. Or be used less than she was last season if that's even possible.

    ReplyDelete
  6. I guess they will say he moved far away with his family or maybe he will never get mentioned again, I wouldn't be surprised with this show.

    ReplyDelete
  7. That news really sucks :(. I liked him.
Way to add to the rocky uncertainty around a third season. I'm happy to have the show coming back and see the characters I love that are still there, but it'll be interesting to see how they continue to handle these changes as time goes on.

  8. NO! We can't lose Jenny, too! Agh! Is it bad I hope that pilot fails?

    ReplyDelete
  9. Sighs, its like why not stick with the core 4? If they bring another Hawley type character in again I might scream.

  10. Tales of the dark side

  11. I know I had to stop watching last season and thought maybe I'll catch up before the new season begins but it looks like I won't.

    ReplyDelete
  12. I know I hated how little screen time she had last season.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Unbelievable. I would have preferred they kept Frank instead of Jenny, but that's just my opinion.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Truthfully I wouldn't bother, I mean I stuck with it but it was a mess and whilst I will give S3 a chance my expectations are low.

    ReplyDelete
  15. What was so bad about Hawley according to you?I'm curious.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Actually TDS is turning out to be a dark horse for the pickup.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Yeah after this announcement I'm officially over sleepy hollow. I have to many other shows to watch lol.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Is she in TftD?

    ReplyDelete
  19. That means half the cast is gone

    ReplyDelete
  20. Then that's no big deal, because it is supposed to have only one lead, Kris Lemche. She's probably just guest starring in the pilot.

    ReplyDelete
  21. That show has only one lead and she'll probably be only guest starring.

    ReplyDelete
  22. That's good news coz i like Jenny very much.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Ohhhhhhh, that's what she's supposed to be in?
Yeah, I'd heard potential positive things...as someone else noted, if there's supposed to be one main lead character, though, and she's just guesting in the pilot, that I could be okay with. But if she were a regular, then I'd be very nervous.

  24. I didn't mind the character to begin with but I hated how he replaced Jenny so many times where her character could have been used. It seemed redundant, you have someone who can find magical artifacts and is a badass and has genuine stakes in what is happening, why use the new guy all the time instead. It seemed especially weird as Jenny was made a regular in S2 then misused.

    ReplyDelete
  25. True, sometimes you have to let go of the shows that just frustrate you and stay with the ones you can enjoy.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I can never hate/dislike any character played by matt,so i'm biased but you do have a solid point.Jenny was seriously underutilized this season,i didn't like that.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I'm suddenly much less enthusiastic about a third season.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I think he was fine in the role but I wished they had used him more with Jenny or Frank rather than instead of them, that would had made a nicer dynamic.

    ReplyDelete
  29. This show is so done...

    ReplyDelete
  30. Ugh. Irving and his family were a big piece of the show's heart.

I wonder what the behind-the-scenes story behind this is?

    ReplyDelete
  31. WHAT???? ARE YOU KIDDING ME????

    ReplyDelete
  32. Apparently budget cuts are behind it.

    ReplyDelete
  33. WTF? Now I'm pissed. I had hopes for a better S3. Ichabod, Abbie, Jenny and Irving.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Considering all the stuff I've heard about how FOX is struggling as a network overall, that sadly doesn't surprise me. Sucks that good shows have to bear the brunt of those struggles.

    ReplyDelete
  35. They lost tax incentives in NC so they moved production to Atlanta. I wonder what cost them more? Moving the entire production or Orlando's salary? Not a fan of this. (I live in NC so I'm really not happy) No more walking down the street to see New Hanover Courthouse shut down for filming. No more River Walk. Ugh. I hate it.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Oh well hopefullu she doesn't leave then.

    ReplyDelete
  37. He pretty much replaced jenny and he was interested in a abbie one day then when he got rejected he went with jenny, since he couldn't have one sister he just got the other sister. The writers thought ohhh let's add a hot guy to the cast but we didnt need any of that we wanted good storytelling instead of hawleys mess of a character.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Thank you I hated that he replaced jenny. I wouldn't be surprised if the actress did decide to leave the show since she didn't have much to do in season 2.

    ReplyDelete
  39. That was my first thought.

    ReplyDelete
  40. At least he was hot.LOL!

    ReplyDelete
  41. It's logical. They didn't know how to use his character properly and it wasn't the same show we loved for its first season. He's too good to be wasted there.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Well yeah he was lol. Not hating on the actor.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Ehhhhh...not my type, really. But to each their own :).

    ReplyDelete
  44. lol Katia almost surely won't return. John Nobles exited. Only Ichabbie stays lol

    ReplyDelete
  45. Very happy. I just didn't understand why he was there. I liked Corbin much better.

    ReplyDelete
  46. It's not like this show is not going to turn into a shipping focused love-snooz drama full of Ichabbie moments featuring hours of "I don't get this [insert new invention]" with her answering in some snarky way.

In fact...why not cut the headless horseman too? I mean....it's about the soulless showrunners, not the mystery

    ReplyDelete
  47. They already got rid of two leads, if their budget drops deep enough to prohibit a fourth regular they might produce the show for a sandwich and a coke

    ReplyDelete
  48. Yeah, no regret from dropping this show from my schedule.

    ReplyDelete
  49. This is a huge let down. Although I don’t know what the plan for season three is specifically, the writers sidelined Irving for a good chunk of season two. I was expecting some sort of way they could integrate him back into the storyline of season three.

    ReplyDelete
  50. His character was worthless anyway. I think if anything it will improve the show's chances.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Yea they tend to do that with this show. I think mainly FOX shows in general too

    ReplyDelete
  52. I can only imagine your frustration. I would be very annoyed if they moved production if I lived that close to it.

They probably moved the production to save money and maybe Orlando's salary was just too high. Perhaps, and of course this is only speculation, maybe they had to trim down there budget if they wanted a Season 3.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Smart man. Getting out while there's still time.

    ReplyDelete
  54. They better bring their A game this season, or else it's curtains.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Ok, it could be budget cuts, but it's just been announced the he's joining a show called "High school 51"

    ReplyDelete
  56. Lol, I had hope Dahne. A small window, but it was there. Now with the move, losing Irving. I just see chaos happening for S3.

    ReplyDelete
  57. They killed off all hope I had when they started fan pandering and made Katrina evil out of the blue. I hope Orlando Jones gets a new gig that's worthy of him.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Didn't they turn Katrina into a villain in the end in a really contrived way.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Yeah,

step 1 of shipper appeasement: turn the characters romantic interest into a villain and thus uneligable for romance, making it perfectly fine for the shipped couple to hook up

    ReplyDelete
  60. As much as Robbie Thompson loves him, I wouldn't be surprised to see him guest on an episode next season.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Unless they do it's not appeasement. It's just kill off the scrappy. It could just be that. Depends on where three goes.

    ReplyDelete
  62. looking at the way the writers handled social media in the past and paved the way I doubt that it won't happen.

Season 3 is the last, we all know that so....it'll happen I guess (but I hope it won't)

    ReplyDelete
  63. I'm just glad I dropped the show after one. Heard two was a f*cking mess.

    ReplyDelete
  64. I would be really good with that. I would also love if someone gave Mark Sheppard, Tim Omundson, and Orlando Jones a show. I think they would be awesome together.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Yeah, 2 was....a weird follow up to 1. I mean, season 1 didn't hold my interest for long either but 2 really proved that this show has nowhere to go but down.

The premise is limited and would only offer good writers material for more

    ReplyDelete
  66. I never really cared for the direction they ended up taking his character in to begin with..guess he didnt either maybe...they def will have to step it up some if they want to keep their fan base as this show has been half and half hit and miss..

    ReplyDelete
  67. Thank god! I can't stand him!

    ReplyDelete
  68. Nooooo. :( I love Frank.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Losing Irving is a pity. But on the bright side at least we didn't lose Ichabod Crane. I like Toms acting style and the occasional jokes. Will give it a go, to see how it goes. Not giving up on Sleepy Hollow, just yet!

    ReplyDelete
  70. I don't watch the show, but I've gathered he's quite a popular character, so that doesn't seem good....

    ReplyDelete
  71. It's ok for me and he's not a factor in the mission of Ichabod and Abbie. So, cutting him off don't affect to the story.

On the other hand, let Katrina die is not ok since she has an important role to help the witness but Mark kill her for nonsense reason!

  72. His tweets were the life of the internet after the latest episode screened. Please Fox employ him for commentary on all shows.
