ABC FAMILY HAS CAST JON COR AS HODGE STARKWEATHER FOR THE SAGA SERIES “SHADOWHUNTERS”
Burbank, CA (May 28, 2015) – ABC Family has cast Jon Cor (“Dark Matter”) as Hodge Starkweather. It was announced today by the network. Cor will be a recurring guest star on the series.
Based on the bestselling young adult fantasy book series The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare, “Shadowhunters” follows 18-year-old Clary Fray, who finds out on her birthday that she is not who she thinks she is but rather comes from a long line of Shadowhunters – human-angel hybrids who hunt down demons. When her mother, Jocelyn, is kidnapped, Clary is thrown into the world of demon hunting with mysterious Shadowhunter Jace and her best friend, Simon. Now living among faeries, warlocks, vampires and werewolves, Clary begins a journey of self-discovery as she learns more about her past and what her future may hold.
Hodge Starkweather is the weapons trainer at the Shadowhunters New York Institute and a former Circle member.
“Shadowhunters” is produced by Constantin Film and executive produced by Ed Decter and McG. McG will also direct the first episode. The network has previously announced Katherine McNamara as Clary Fray, Dominic Sherwood for the role of Jace Wayland, Alberto Rosende as Simon, Emeraude Toubia as Isabelle Lightwood, Matthew Daddario as Alec Lightwood, Isaiah Mustafa as Luke Garroway Harry Shum Jr. as Magnus Bane and Alan Van Sprang in the recurring guest star role of Valentine.

I believe they're casting Raphael right now.

ReplyDeleteThey will be like Midori, they will only get guest appareances.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to really enjoy this show with all the hunks they've cast Lol.
ReplyDeleteI believe all the regulars were already cast, with Magnus being the last one.
ReplyDeleteJocelyn, Valentine (I believe), Dorothea/Dot and Hodge are recurring characters. I believe Hodge doesn't even appear until the second episode. Same goes for Raphael, who they're currently casting.
Alaric will also possibly be cast (he was in the sides) but may not be announced, I don't think he's a major enough character for it. Not sure about the others. There was also a mention of Eric, but, yeah not sure about that either.
ReplyDeleteI was just about to post the same thing lmao
ReplyDeleteMmmm... I have to say I didn't imagine Hodge this hot when I read the books, but hey, I'm not complaining...
ReplyDeleteHe seems pretty young to be Hodge. Hodge is about the same age as Valentine or older. He has been looking after the Institute for quite a few years in the books. He is hot but doesn't really seem to fit.
