Yeah, I think she is putting too much faith into her reasoning of "Drowning is a female's M.O. so the killer is female". It could easily be a man. Christy's brother Michael seems like the kind of type who would use drowning to kill Tom. Or maybe even Dave.
She doesn't need to.Natalie had the keys to Jess's house. The night Cristy & Ben had the big fight, she was probably up staying all night for her father to come back home. When he did,he went straight for Jess's home. She followed him secretly and found out he is putting tom to sleep. She got angry & jealous and after Ben passed out in the couch-She woke Tom up and lured him into the woods. The she tried to drown him,he tried to get away, she hit him with the flashlight. Now Ben will take the blame when he knows she's the killer. That's why the episode is titled-The Lie. This is my current theory.what do you think about it?
I don't think she is still going only by that. I think she got actual forensic evidence at the end. The drowning thing was probably just what made her suspect a female.
My theory: she realized it was Abby and that she did it out of jealously. So she went to Michael's house pretending that she was accusing Christy only to make Abby hear that Ben liked Jess now, to set her off and set a trap to catch her. I think the final scene from the last episode was a red hearing. Abby isn't the one being endangered by Jess, it is the other way around.
By the way, if I have been wrong all along about Abby, my distant second guess is Natalie, which I think has kind of been overlooked. But still on Abby here
I really think you're right. I was on ABC's site and found this below the press release for episode 10 : "Fourteen months later, we find Cornell unable to let the Murphy case’s resolution go. But her dogged pursuit of justice ultimately pays off when we see the final conclusion of Tom’s murder unfold from Cornell’s perspective in ABC.com’s original digital series “Cornell: Confidential,” which picks up where “Secrets and Lies” leaves off." I think Abby did it but Ben takes the blame and Cornell can't "save" him.
Hmm. So there will be a more definite conclusion but it will be shown in Cornell:Confidential. Will this be available online like the rest of the episodes or will international viewers have to do without?
If no one else does I'll screen record it and will post it here on STV. Every Sunday there's an all-new Cornell:Confidential after the East coast airing on ABC's website.
I think it was the mentally retarded boy next door that hoarded things. He had a crazy temper too. I think they moved away. I think he killed Tom. I thought it from the beginning. His Mom probably knew and thats why they moved.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Can't wait!
ReplyDeleteI wrote something above the video. There was a problem at that time.
ReplyDeleteIt is now fixed.
Cool promo, cannot wait!
ReplyDeleteThanks for fixing the video @Samy. The thumbnail on the homepage is not working though. Probably need to change to the code
ReplyDeleteI think its Abby, she's a daddy's girl and she didn't want to share her daddy with Tom
ReplyDeleteHow would she have known though?!
ReplyDeleteGREAT VIDEO! I think it's neat they are using twitter and stuff. Make the people feel more involved. Can't wait to find it out myself.
ReplyDeleteI think its jess sister !! she's wierd and in love with jess husband
ReplyDeleteWhat if Cornell got it all wrong and the killer's male...

This promo is awesome, I love this show!
ReplyDeleteStill on Abby here!

Yeah I agree. I also think Cornell set a trap for her when she went to Michael's house purposely so that she would hear that Ben cared about Jess.

ReplyDeleteDidn't someone say that 4 endings had been shot? It would fit with this promo about all 4 potential killers.
ReplyDeleteI said that in a comment and someone else commented that KaDee Strickland confirmed it :)
ReplyDeleteNow that you've said it... So it's one of them.
Finally found the article!
