Ratings Breakdown:
The season-finale of “The Big Bang Theory” led CBS to Thursday night victory, with a 9.8 rating/17 share in the household overnights in the 8 p.m. half-hour. But two original episodes of lead-out “The Odd Couple” dipped to a 5.5/ 9 at 8:30 p.m. (#2) and a third-place 4.7/ 8 in the 9 p.m. half-hour, which at this pivotal time may not be enough for a second season renewal.
Next on the Eye net was an encore telecast of “The Big Bang Theory” at a 4.4/ 7 (#3) at 9:30 p.m., followed by older-skewing “Elementary” at a first-place 4.9/ 9 from 10-11 p.m. While overnight dominance is certainly good, CBS can do better in this time period.
Second-place ABC was solid from 8-10 p.m. care of “Grey’s Anatomy” (#2: 6.4/11) and “Scandal” (#1: 6.1/10). But recent critically acclaimed entry “American Crime” continues to squander the lead-in support with a 3.4/ 6 at 10 p.m. (#2), which was 44 percent below “Scandal.”
Over at NBC, “The Blacklist” grew by nine percent from one week earlier with a second-place 5.1/ 8 in the overnights from 9-10 p.m. And the 4.7/ 6 one week earlier set a series record in terms of added time-shifting viewing in “Live + 3 Day” adult 18-49 rating nationally (growing by 99 percent from Live+Same Day to L+3: 1.25 to 2.49.
Next on NBC was “Dateline” at a 3.4/ 6 at 10 p.m. (#2), which tied aforementioned “American Crime” on ABC. And the network opened the evening with a repeat of “Law & Order: SVU” at a 2.5/ 4 (#4) at 8 p.m.
Elsewhere, two episodes of veteran Fox crime solver “Bones” averaged a ho-hum 3.1/ 5 in the household overnights from 8-10 p.m. And The CW could not compete with its deteriorating (and already renewed) combination of “The Vampire Diaries” (#5: 1.2/ 2) and “Reign” (#5: 0.7/ 1). Given the slippage this season for “The Vampire Diaries,” The CW would be wise to open Thursday next season with “Arrow” and “The Flash” spin-off “D.C.’s Legends of Tomorrow.”

Predict the A18-49 ratings for Grey's Anatomy, Scandal, and American Crime.
ReplyDeleteStable CW! Reign delivered one of it's best episodes, but once U lose viewers it's hard to get them back. VD rose a 0.1 in the HH hoping for slight demo boost.
ReplyDeleteHoping for better numbers next week.
Grey:2.5
ReplyDeleteScandal 2.4
AC: 0.8
And why was American Crime renewed again?
ReplyDelete"Critical aclaim" (it got a bunch of nominees for the Critic Choice awards) and probably to keep that writer/producer in house who is prepping that new Marvel spin off as well.
ReplyDeleteAmerican Crime's number doesn't look so bad here !
ReplyDeleteOUAT and Aos do less.
To give it another chance.
ReplyDeleteAnd because of Felicity Huffman.
But they are more demo focused. AC is olderly skewing.
ReplyDeleteNot too suprised at American Crimes renewal.
ReplyDeleteRatings are bad, but its a critical darling and it sure to scoop a few emmys..
The fact its an anthology means that it can be relaunced with a new ad campaing since it will be a new story.
Super happy Agent Cater will be back. :) Best new show of the season
Please don't hit that 0.5 again TVD!!
ReplyDeleteWow.. if you asked me in the fall, I'd never have guessed we'd see Grey's consistently beating Scandal by the end of the year. Grey's got a boost because of the controversy with Dempsey but it's incredibly stable. Scandal free-fell at the end of this season.
ReplyDeleteYou think Scandal went up? Last episode was a 6.3 and that came out to a 2.3.
ReplyDeleteAmerican Crime's renewal is a head scratcher and I dare anyone with a prediction model to try to explain this one but I don't really care since it didn't happen at the expense of Agent Carter.
ReplyDeleteThat had to renew it after submitting the show for Emmy contention.
ReplyDeleteRatings are bad, but its a critical darling and it sure to scoop a few emmys..
ReplyDeleteThe fact its an anthology means that it can be relaunced with a new ad campaing since it will be a new story.
This should have been Scandal's last season.
ReplyDeleteI'm really intrigued to see if the show can keep that momentum entering season 12.
ReplyDeleteThe buzz is fresh now but that won't last that long.
Why? It still delivers great numbers.
ReplyDeleteBecause the storytelling is not good.
ReplyDeleteGreys: 2.4
ReplyDeleteScandal: 2.2
American Crime: 0.9 (Why was this renewed again?)
Yea, 2.2 sounds about right. Scandal was a 2.3 last episode and HH numbers were 6.3
ReplyDeleteAnd I though the backlash of Scandal season 3 was bad... this back half of Scandal's season has been treated horrible. It probably has to do with its ratings fall
ReplyDeleteGuys, which network news should we expect today?
ReplyDeleteEmmy bait and winter filler (replacing The Taste, probably)
ReplyDeleteThat's my only guess
Grey's seems to be holding up ok for now despite last week's horrible weird episode. It's the end of the season so I don't expect any big drop until next season.
ReplyDeleteNBC, CBS, and ABC I believe.
ReplyDeleteI have the feeling NBC will do pickups and cancellations today
ReplyDeleteABC gave their news last night
ReplyDeleteWe should know the fate of TMOL today.
ReplyDeleteABC is already done.
ReplyDeleteThere were too many cases of the week and than B613
ReplyDeleteThanks to Netflix and DVDs it seems Grey's is continuing to make new, young fans. It's crazy.. I've been watching since the pilot over 10 years ago, and my young cousin and all of her friends who are just finishing high school have all caught up and are now watching live. They've got a new generation of young fans. Even if a few eyes do peel from this season as is generally the trend, for a show in season 12 it will still be dominant. Most freshman dramas would kill for Grey's numbers.
ReplyDeleteI meant FOX.
ReplyDeleteMarc wants Arrow/LoT on Thursday's next season? I can see it. They don't share the same audiene as Grey's and Scandal. It could work. I'd have something to watch on Thursdays.
ReplyDeleteIt's still a huge performer for ABC and gets tons of buzz. They've just made a mess of storylines this season, hopefully B613 is done away with in the finale and we start fresh next year.
ReplyDeleteB613 is still on?
ReplyDeleteI haven't watched Scandal in a while (will catch up on the summer), but really? That storyline is getting increasingly old
Do you think the network cares while it pulls of these demo numbers?
ReplyDeleteAnd CW will hear his suggestions.Ya,right!
ReplyDeleteAnd it's not like the rest of ABC's lineup is an embarrassment of riches ratings wise.
ReplyDeleteHe meant start the night with Arrow/Flash's spin off LoT. Arrow is not moving
ReplyDeleteYeah they need to get rid of it
ReplyDeleteI think he mean by that not have Arrow and LoT together, but that the Arrow/Flash spinoff LoT should lead off Thursdays. It just got worded weird.
ReplyDeleteThe B613 storyline has bogged down the backhalf of this season big time. S4 actually started off much, much stronger than 3. It's a same. The past several weeks have just bored me to indifference.
ReplyDeleteDid I say that? No, right?
ReplyDeleteLoT will air midseason. The Flarrow team confirmed it.
ReplyDeleteI think Thursdays will still belong to Plec.
Either scenario would be an improvement and still give me something on Thursdays. I like it.
ReplyDeleteJust to ask guys which shows ABC renewed and cancelled and which new They ordered i cantel look download to see American Crimw Galavant and Agent Carter cancelled
ReplyDeleteTVD-Cordon combo?Or,TVD-TO combo?
ReplyDeleteYeah, I remember enjoying S4A a lot. I dropped it around episode 15 merely due to not having the time to watch it and it piled on, but it's hard to believe the B613 storyline has stretched out this much
ReplyDeleteNo problem :)
ReplyDeleteCancelled-Cristela,Forever,Resurrection,The Taste,Revenge.Renewed-Rest.
ReplyDeleteI was about to write the exact same thing
ReplyDeleteAmerican Crime's renewal was based on internal politics, not ratings. Scheduling will be a challenge though as I doubt they will keep it on Thursdays.
ReplyDeleteI didn't say they did care. I was just giving my opinion. And I think this should have been the last season.
ReplyDeleteTVD-TO seems more likely.
ReplyDeleteThe premise of Cordon allows for it to grab The Flash's male skewing audience, so I think it'll go there
OMG They renewed AC,Galavant and Agent Carter OMG OMG Im dying
ReplyDeleteThanks, I didn't know it had been confirmed. I hope they don't handicap Cordon right from the start. I want it to have a chance.
ReplyDeleteAbsolute shocker-No one saw this coming!
ReplyDeleteWas revenge promoted last night? I believe it was or?
ReplyDeleteYeah, those were shockers. Agent Carter was the least shocking of them all, but still.
ReplyDeleteI was over the moon with both Galavant and Agent Carter's renewal
Does it matter anymore?
ReplyDeleteSo happy We'll get another season with Peggy!
ReplyDeleteI think Scandal will see a rating recovery when TGIT starts once again next season, but I doubt it'll see more than a 3.0 after its free fall.
ReplyDeleteMy predictions for Scandal are:
Season Finale: 2.5
Season 5 Premiere: 3.1
TBBT will not be a hit anymore next year CW will take viewers and so ppl will not watch BBT too bad :( but np because it's renewed. I wish S10 wasn't the last thou but I think it'll be.
ReplyDeleteTBBT has plenty room to fall to still be called a hit
ReplyDeleteI literally screamed when i saw this i am too happy, thanks ABC
ReplyDeleteYeah, it is such a great show! :D
ReplyDeleteThey went CW with their renewals :)
ReplyDeleteIt's a matter of it being able to grab the biggest audience possible for its finale. I'd like for it to go with a bang. Though I think it'll do 1.4-1.5, 1.7 if I'm being overly optimistic
ReplyDeleteNBC today.
ReplyDeleteI for one as a huge fan, would like it to end with a season high!
ReplyDeleteYes.
ReplyDeletewhat do you mean? Isn't it a hit now? You think it'll be cancelled after 10?
ReplyDeleteThx :) finally!
ReplyDeleteI don't know. Empire is coming back in the fall and even though its on a different day, I think so watchers of both Empire and Scandal are completely bored with Scandal now because Empire is so entertaining. I don't think Scandal will get its numbers back to where they were in Season 3. People are Over Scandal lol
ReplyDeletePlease do, you deserve it!
ReplyDeleteDon't say like that!
ReplyDeletelol like really. It's so annoying to keep asking like it matters. It's borderline trolling.
ReplyDeleteWill it be a bloodbath with the rest?
ReplyDeleteAnyone would be happy with pulling those numbers.
ReplyDeleteI was a hc fan since the pilot and enjoyed every part of the show, even the bad ones.
But I dropped the show atm, can't handle them killing of Derek after all these years. Didn't watch any episode since the Where is Derek ep.
But isn't it true? I for one can say that I'm ashamed to have been a fan of this show.
ReplyDeleteI still cannot believe abc renewed american crime
ReplyDeleteOnly 3 more days. Be happy
ReplyDeleteI agree, last night was bad & wrong on so many level.
ReplyDeleteFootball didn't hurt Scandal last season, but I can guarantee you that it will feel it this year. People are jumping off the Scandal train.
ReplyDeleteI still can't process American Crime's renewal.
ReplyDeleteWhile watching American Crime, I saw the Revenge series finale reminder pop up on the screen. But I didn't see any advertisement about it during commercial.
ReplyDeleteYes, all the bubble shows on NBC should be notified today.
ReplyDeleteWhere were U?
ReplyDeleteI overslept the ABC madness but caught up in the morning.
Pretty much. Revenge is like Hart of Dixie.
ReplyDeleteRegular mid and high 3s is a big hit.
ReplyDeleteTBBT could be hitting mid 2s and it would be still a hit since that is the landscape of television right now.
TBBT can run as long as it wants to because it makes 3 billion dollars worlwide. Any rating loss will be compenssated by syndication, international markets and as a whole the whole franchise is just incredibly popular.
So it really doesn't matter if TBBT's ratings keep falling or if the stars ask for more money, the show will run as long as the creative team wants it to
Last night's episode was really great
ReplyDeleteI was eating at that time.I almost choked on my food.LOL!
ReplyDeleteI guess they feel they will use this show during the hiatus of Scandal and How to Get Away With Murder instead of The Taste. I thought Revenge could have been used in this capacity as well. And it would have gotten the show to the 100 episode mark.
ReplyDeleteABC ordered Comedies Dr. Ken, The Muppets, and The Real O’Neals & Dramas The Catch, The Family, Of Kings & Prophets, Quantico, Wicked City, Untitled Pate & Fishburne Project
ReplyDeleteWhy do people try to use HH to predict demos? The only thing that I can really get from them are a guess of the total viewers number.
ReplyDeletesame for TBL it's no hit anymore but it'll survive for S4 i think. And OUAT is not a hit anymore too but decent. ABC might save S6.
ReplyDeleteSpot on comparison. Though HoD did decent on Fridays, while Revenge has been less than stellar on Sundays
ReplyDeleteWhich one was BOOM originally?
ReplyDeleteThere had to some behind-the-scenes stuff going on there. Either the C+3 are phenomenal or somebody had good blackmail material. Then again every network needs an Emmy bait show.
ReplyDeleteI don't see it happening this year, because TVD isn't dead yet and LoT is midseason anyway; but if LoT hits - and I can't see it not doing at least iZombie well, and I definitely expect better - and TVD dies, then I can see it happening the season after. And if iZombie continues to do well, they may well move it Mondays and have comic adaptation anchors anchors for every night. And that's if they don't try to squeeze out another spin-off or adapt another separate DC comic series in 2016. Who knows? The CW schedule is one of the most debated, and I really have no idea how things will fall out.
ReplyDeleteBut Arrow isn't going anywhere, because the back-to-back superhero night is doing well and it's easier to sell crossovers that way, plus Arrow has been holding that night very well for three years. I think The Flash and Arrow staying where they are is the only guarantee that can be made for the upcoming schedule.
You went to sleep early. You missed all the fun!
ReplyDeleteMaybe it's gonna be ABC's Hannibal.
ReplyDeleteI cannot say that i am happy with abc's decisions. Sure those who watch and love agent carter and galavant should be happy, i am just sad. Kingmakers was not Picked up :( and revenge is still ending in just three days
ReplyDeleteI think because there becomes a pattern with shows, and now we're at the end of the season ... it's pretty easy to guess the numbers.
ReplyDeleteI am happy abour secrets and lies though
ReplyDeleteTo OUAT advantage, it is a big franchise seller (and Netflix's most watched show after Daredevil), so ABC won't outright cut the cord. At worst it'll get a short farewell season.
ReplyDeleteCan't believe ABC renewed a show which hit a 0.8 for "critical acclaim". I hope season 2 is rpiied to shreds by the critics
ReplyDeleteRyan won't be there though :(
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised that they did not order another comedy in case one of these new ones flop. The Real O' Neals is probably going to Wednesday and Dr. Ken will be on Friday. I think The Muppets and Galavant will both be 8-10 episodes per season and most likely air on Sunday. I thought ABC would also pick up the NBA comedy. It must have tested badly. I wonder why it fell through.
ReplyDeleteTo TBL?
ReplyDeleteI know :( but cornell was my favorite and she will be there
ReplyDeleteI know right. But at least I t a baby, if I witnessed any of these renewals I wouldn't sleep the whole night.
ReplyDeleteIt's an anthology and Felicity Huffman has only been contraced for season 1.
ReplyDeleteI don't get that either. Really undeserved renewal IMO
ReplyDeleteI hated Cornell in the beginning but i grew to like her as the season progressed.I loved her even more after watching all those 10 deleted scenes.
ReplyDeleteUnless they go into direct competition I doubt that Empire will really affect Scandal that much. Sure, it may have grabbed the buzz spotlight, but TGIT will grab it back for sure. The promotion for TGIT was so powerful that it got people to watch 11 years old Grey's Anatomy.
ReplyDeleteTGIT promotion will kick Scandal's ratings back up
He was making a dig at Marc, not you, lol
ReplyDeleteI have liked her since the beginning. She is so entertaining
ReplyDeleteI don't know how they intend to fix their mondays. That is their current issue.
ReplyDeleteThe guy working on American Crime, was he not the same man that was going to produce the Agents of Shield spinoff? If this is the case, maybe ABC didn't like the spinoff so just gave him an a consolation prize in continuing a second season of American Crime.
ReplyDeleteI think NBC will renew more shows than most people are anticipating.
ReplyDeleteI could see up to 4 renewals announced by them today.
TBL makes 2 million per episode on Netflix. It will live long even if it is not longer the rating hit that it once was
ReplyDeletewhat American Crime means to ABC is what TWG means to CBS???? lol
ReplyDeleteWhat's even more confusing is that no way in hell they can run American Crime and Galavant till syndication, so just, I don't get it...
ReplyDeleteRevenge had the worst timeslot of the entire week
ReplyDeleteLast season Scandal ratings were much higher. This season has been awful
ReplyDeleteAt least TWG was able to run till syndication with full season. It will take American Crime 7 more years to hit syndication, if the creator wants shorter episode orders, which should be the case with anthologies.
ReplyDeleteI agree. I think that they will renew everything that is at least somewhat viable as backups in an attempt to rebound. I could easily see a Friday midseason schedule of Dateline/Grimm/Constantine again.
ReplyDeletethx. I will keep quiet hope I don't bore.
ReplyDeleteand JTV to CW
ReplyDeleteCBS please!
ReplyDeleteWhat's your plan today?Staying awake or going to bed early?
ReplyDeleteGalavant started off high and got crushed by competition, so maybe ABC believes it can do decent if they keep it away from big events. I think they decided to give it a 2nd chance, with probably better schedule.
ReplyDeleteAmerican Crime has to be emmy bait and winter filler... but even then, those are not good enough reasons. It's not like The Good Wife, which rated ok until its 3rd season and makes lots of money on syndication, or not even like JtV which rates ok-ish for The CW.
American Crime is outright a rating flop, and rating poison (it broke TGIT)
"I think NBC will renew more shows than most people are anticipating."
ReplyDeleteI agree for two reasons 1) they will follow ABC's lead because they won't want to admit being inferior this season to them and 2) according to a producer for Warrior, it is either Warrior vs. Game of Silence. Assuming, the Player is still a lock, that is only two additional pilots picked up. That leaves plenty of room to renew AD, The Night Shift, Mysteries of Laura, and yes... even Constantine.
ABC was the network I was most anticipating followed by CBS. It is going to be interesting to see what bubble shows they renew and cancel. And what dramas and comedies they feel will serve them best in the future. I really don't care about NBC. I'm glad to see America back in Superstore. But the other projects announced don't really excite me.
ReplyDeleteYES please.I cannot watch H50 finale without knowing it's fate.Urgh!!
ReplyDeleteI thought TBBT was a Warner show? It would be weird for 2 Warner shows to be up against each other.
ReplyDeleteBy far. It stuck with Resurrection's poor lead in ratings for quite a while.
ReplyDeleteEverything else had something to grab on, even Forever had 1.6-1.7s lead ins time to time.
The most embarrasing performances in terms of lead in are American Crime (by far!) and then Nashville, which falls big time from its lead in
You are a guy right, I want to be sure, lol
ReplyDeleteI agree.
ReplyDeleteI won't be shocked if NBC renews Constantine, Laura, The Night Shift, and Undateable today.
They passed on all of their other genre pilots and dramedy pilots so far, so I think that means they are seriously considering Laura and Constantine for renewals. Maybe a packaged deal with WB (they also own Undateable and Blindspot)?
I imagine iZombie will go there; it already held its ratings without The Flash and against The Voice, so it is the most logical move
ReplyDeleteIf it is Warrior vs Game of Silence, I think NBC should go with Game of Silence. I feel it has the potential of being critically acclaimed.
ReplyDeleteYa,i am 27 year old doctor.
ReplyDeleteI knew about the doctor part, not sure about your gender, lol
ReplyDeleteWhat is your opinion on the Fox pickups so far?
ReplyDeleteI'm still watching it, just in case.
ReplyDeleteHahaha.Now u can be sure!
ReplyDeleteIt needs to go to 9 or it'll face another DC show which is also procedural. JTV and iZombie combo is still kinda iffy for me. I think TO-iZombie works better since their both supernatural shows.
ReplyDeleteI read this on The AV Club about Scandal and I think it is worth the read:
ReplyDelete"Revitalizing Scandal next season will be trickier than rebooting one of Rhimes’ sexy hospital dramas, but it can be done. The first step in that process is to burn sage and recite Latin incantations until the evil spirit of B-613 has been completely exorcised"
That's exactly what I am thinking. WB is packaging The Mysteries Of Laura/Constantine/Undateable in a deal, and they are going to throw in Studio City from FOX (the producers are very confident it will be taken elsewhere and NBC was their first target). All of the sudden, they become very advantageous to NBC.
ReplyDeleteI will watch it too but with different mental preparation.
ReplyDeleteNot sure yet. It depends if they come up a bit earlier, I'll probably stay awake. Tomorrow I have to get up earlyISH. So I'll see.
ReplyDeleteI didn't expect for ABC to pull the trigger last night, thought they would wait till today.
Maybe Muppets+Galavant?
ReplyDeleteThat would be a fun hour of television and Galavant's ratings might rebound if it has a compatible comedy paired with it.
I just can't I really can't. I feel a bit betrayed. Will wait till I have some calm days during summer and watch it. After that I'll decide if I stay.
ReplyDeleteI think Studio City would fit nicely behind The Voice.
ReplyDeleteThat makes as much sense as anything else.
ReplyDeleteI still can't believe that Abc renewed American Crime. I mean they have got to be kidding me, so they renew a freshman but yet not give Revenge that short final season? Galavant and Agent Carter I could understand cause I know that Abc would want something to air while OUAT goes on Hiatus.
ReplyDeleteI thought CDS would catch that timeslot but iZombie seems like a the most likely option atm, replaced by the gf in the spring. But than again I'm not sure if they put 2 DC shows against each other.
ReplyDeleteWell ya cause I would want it to go out with a bang
ReplyDeletecan you post the link?
ReplyDeleteEveryone said it would come out around 6 A.M in India. It did.
ReplyDeletePlease 0,4 Reign and 0,6 or 0,7 for TVD
ReplyDeleteTo be honest, they are rather lackluster. I like seeing Fred Savage back on TV. So I will check out The Grinder. John Stamos in Grandfathered may be a hit or miss. I'll have to check out the trailer. Rosewood does not excite me. The biggest show that I'm anticipating on FOX is Scream Queens. That could be huge for them, having Arianna Grande and Nick Jonas involved.
ReplyDeleteSo Fing true. I love Rowan but this whole story become a major drag.
ReplyDeleteI also understand Galavant and agent carter! I do not understand american crime at all!
ReplyDeleteAlso I find it sad, how people think revenge was a flop. Revenge has been around for four years, you cannot call a show a Flop then. In addition to that, it had the worst timeslot any show could have and aired in january against all the award shows and football. Now ir is getting a 1.2, better than most abc shows at 10! It is heavily serialized as well. People need to stop saying that it was a flop.
No. this has been Scandal highest season ( in the beginning). The ratings started to tank in Jan
ReplyDeleteGod i hope they get rid of B613. I have not watched last night yet but i hate B613
ReplyDeleteIt was definitely not a flop show.A flop show cannot run for 4 seasons.
ReplyDeleteOh and Revenge hardly ever had any promotion
ReplyDeleteExactly. Some People forget that though
ReplyDeleteIkr! Revenge has a huge international success for Abc. A flop is for shows that do bad on their first season.
ReplyDeleteWhat time is it now in India? 9-10pm?
ReplyDelete7.40 P.M.
ReplyDeleteYes, Abc has treated it like crap this season.
ReplyDeleteAgreed. I think that is probably what WB is pushing for to make a package deal advantageous. And since NBC put Smash there on point, they targeted the right network. NBC would be open to a project like Studio City.
ReplyDeleteNBC seems to be very high on their other drama pilots, so I don't know if they will take on Studio City.
ReplyDeleteBesides that, I don't think the producers will have enough time to pitch it to the network this late in the game.
Anyway, an interesting schedule for NBC with the potential renewal of Laura and Constantine could be: Laura and Heartbreakers on Fridays. Grimm, Constantine, and Emerald City pushed to Sunday's in the Spring.
No TOP25 numbers the whole week! Awful!
ReplyDeleteRevenge is not leaving as a loser, it is leaving as a Winner IMO! The only show where abc announced thr cancellation earlier than the others. That must mean something
ReplyDeleteJan started off with 10 million. It started to drop after Olivia returned and went off the deep end to the Fergusion redux, Russell, B613 Return, and Mellie's campaign. All boring to most fans.
ReplyDeleteIf WB is packaging Undateable, no one told them. Also, Constantine's structure would make such a deal very difficult as it is a DC property. Such a proposal would be highly unlikely to materialize beyond fan wish.
ReplyDeleteIKR
ReplyDeleteVery sad! I hope thr finale at least Hits a 1.4
ReplyDeleteIf NBC passes on Studio City, they would be idiots. FOX most likely didn't want it to tarnish Empire. Most likely it probably doesn't even have the same tone as it. So I can understand why it wasn't need. But NBC needs it. They have too many thriller dramas. Studio City may not be a mega hit like Empire but it will at least perform stronger than Nashville.
ReplyDeleteUr just 4 hours away from Central European time ?? O.o
ReplyDeleteSo it came around 2am in Serbia, no way I'm staying up that late tonight. Will bash in the morning about NBC's masacre!
WB owns DC, so that's a moot point.
ReplyDeleteThe prime benefit for WB/DC for a Constantine renewal, is product cross selling such as video games, branded comics, action figures, and toys using the TV version of the comic character. That really helped boost the Green Arrow, of whom like Constantjne was a minor DC character before the TV show.
I guess, but it still feels like a slap in the face knowing that Abc renewed American Crime over Revenge
ReplyDeleteyes, i know. that's when it began to tank. went from a 3.3 to a 2.1 in a matter of weeks.
ReplyDeleteI really like that schedule. Heartbreakers is apparently already sold to France and other international territories, so a Friday timeslot shouldn't be detrimental to the show.
ReplyDeleteIt's still early, the numbers may come.
ReplyDeleteVery true.
ReplyDeleteMaybe ending Revenge had to do with Emily Van Camp. I know it is going out with a bang. But I feel it could have done that with an additional 11 episodes as well.
ReplyDeleteSomeone once wrote if they don't come till 4pm CET, 10am US east coast time, they usually don't come. So I don't know how far that is truth, but still don't recall a week where we hadn't T25.
ReplyDeleteActually, DC and WB are completely separate entities in regards to merchandising, etc. As for the rest, if Constantine remains on roster, it will not be in a package with Undateable or MOL. I could go point by point as to why the rest of XYZ's theory of a packaging deal and his analysis on Sony's barganing position is askew, but I don't feel like hijacking a ratings thread for unfounded conjecture.
ReplyDeleteSupposedly, the writers and the head of abc sat down at watched the series finale. After that, both agreed that it was the right time to end it. If there had not been closure, it would have been renewed
ReplyDeleteI know :(
ReplyDeleteI totally agree. What happen to Revenge is January was downright horrible. It was already standing on its last leg and ABC decides its ok to air it against award shows and football once more. It was if they really wanted justification for ending it this season. But now it looks bad to renew a show garnering worse ratings airing behind one of the networks highest rated drama.
ReplyDeleteCould be but I also think just like the show runner has mentioned that maybe despite low ratings they also ended it due to creativity. If you remember back in January when the Abc president said that they will see where they go with it and I think with that Abc didn't what they could do with the show if it got renewed for a fifth season.
ReplyDeleteI agree Screan Queens will be a hit next fall.
ReplyDeleteFOX is already advertising it, which is an awesome strategy.
But I can understand the producers and writers not wanting to take the chance and then leaving viewers with no closure. It would upset people to see a cliffhanger and then hear Revenge has been cancelled.
