  1. The final music montage, Liz revealing to Red she remembers the fire and Liz shooting Connolly.

  2. Other- I'm not a Tom/Liz fan, but their boat scene was cinematically super beautiful .

  3. So are we to understand that Lizzie is now just fulfilling the destiny she was always meant to have , as a female Red? And so if Red had not started the chain reaction of hiring Tom's handler to just have someone placed near Lizzie to only keep an eye on her which led to his marrying her and then Tom's handler betrayed Red and switched employers to work for Berlin which led Red to create the whole idea of his taking The Blacklist to the FBI so he could watch over her himself - all leading to the current circumstances, none of this would have happened - so it is really on Red that she is now in this situation. I felt the finale seemed( in spite of lots going on) a little flat. Did love the moments between Cooper and Lizzie and the look on Red's face when she revealed she knew she had shot the "Father" ( or maybe just the man her Mother was living with and calling her father). Missed the team being more into the action and hope the game shifting changes find a way not to sideline the team even more but somehow incorporate the team members more into the storylines as I think they add much needed texture - I'm tired of just Aram and Navabi reaction shots.

  4. I don't know that I like this morally ambiguous Liz. We already have Red as morally ambiguous, I kind of wanted Liz to be good, all good though having her shoot an unarmed man and cover up the murder of an innocent man is certainly interesting character development.

  5. I liked a number of scenes but two that stand out to me are Red telling the press about The Fulcrum/ The Cabal and Liz remembering she shot her father the night of the fire.

When Red abducted media people and used the Fulcrum as a weapon against The Cabal I literally cheered! That is what I suggested Liz should do with it - not give it to The Director and expose herself! Liz played defense and actions came back to haunt her... Now she is on the run. Red went on the offensive... Point, Game Red.

Also love Liz getting her memories back!
It answers a few questions about her past and specifically what happened that night. That is, if we assume those memories are real XD

  6. True...
    I misspoke somewhat...

I actually thought Liz should anonymously call the Director and give him just his information so he knows she/ Red has the Fulcrum, threaten to go to the press, .

I thought that would have been enough to force The Director to make the call and save Red AND kept more leverage.

  7. Liz and Tom doing the dirty! bow chicka bow wow.
there are too many to just pick one. The episode was full of great moments. Liz being questioned, Tom and Liz looking for Andropov, Liz getting her memories back. Cooper confronting the Dr and not forget Red' s great moments. Looking for the reporters all around USA. telling them about the Fulcrum and the final montage.
    One is just not enough.

  8. She is not a female Red, she hanst commited any terrorist attacks, she is not like him, yeah she is in the run but the differences are huge to call her " female Red". I like what you said and it's what everyone's been saying, She in that situation because of him, if Tom would've get to her and they woul'dve left, everything would be different.
I do too want to know how teh atsk force is gonan work next season. Will she call them a give them a case? or they will follow leads and finds her while she is looking for a way to clear her name¿?.

  9. I too was wondering if she would start feeding new cases to the team as that would be one way to keep the team up front in the story - I would hate to see them only minimally in the picture.

  10. Love scene and intimate talking about feelings between Tom and Liz. Beautiful scene and real view how they feel about each other

  11. And the task force was form in the first place because Red feed tem information and now that he is gone, what will stop them from splitting them up?. It would be fun if they all go and do their stuf alone with no FBI or goverment to answer to.

  12. I think she was already sort of red-like... She did stab Red in the throat with a pen overall. She certainly isn't like Ressler (Boy Scout). I am not sure how they can ever bring her back into the gold of the team. My guess is we see a car and mouse game with them trying to track her and Red down which will never happen because the FBI on the shoe is incompetent. ;)

I kind of like her moving to the more criminal side. Red and his team are more interesting. Other than Cooper, the FBI team is expendable for me.

I also loved Red's face during the I remember scene. He conveyed so much emotion,. It was a mix of fear, sadness, regret., and disappointment. Brilliant.

  13. But their interaction together is fun.

  14. Spader did an amazing job of conveying emotions in that scene - it was really impressive, I agree. You would not miss Aram and Navabi ? - I love them

  15. Not too much. Aram is good comic relief, but Red has plenty on his team that can do that. Samar is already working for Red (which I wonder how that is going to work now that she is hunting him), so she can still be involved!

  16. Agreed.
I like the FBI task force, but they are supporting players who do not need or deserve much scene time. If they left I may notice, but I doubt I would care. Agent Navabi replaced Agent Malik without any noticeable loss of fun or quality. If doing a direct comparison some may think Navabi actually made the show better...

  17. I will enjoy that for a few episode I'm sure, but I think we need the team (not necessarily the same members) to hunt for Red and Liz next season. Or (as I hope) to aide Team Red in trying to prove Liz's innocence. I assume at some point Liz and Red will be brought back in somehow ... I cannot see them working outside the law for too long. Certainly not past next season or even for the full season.

  18. My favorite moment (or one of them) was when it looked like Lizzie and Jacob were really in love--the sex was about her letting someone in and learning to trust again-very symbolic and at same time steamy!

    ReplyDelete
  19. Totally agree, it wasn't about the sex as much as making that connection again.

  20. "The Truth WIll Out" on line with far reaching implications when you consider the events which surround it.

  21. No. Look up Gobbo Merchant of Venice and figure it out. Assume nothing but know that you have a Shakespearean allusion going on in this finale which is fare more sinister than it sounds at first. (Confession Daddy is not dead: Who is Daddy?) As in Aram and Navabi, Aram is most likely a Cabal mole and Navabi is most likely dead meat. Not sure Aram know he is a mole but he does things without question and things leak out like with Leonard Caul. How did they Cabal know where to find him?

  22. After the pilot it was firmly established the Liz was following in Red's foot steps, saving a little girl from being killed from being a weapon to be used against the country because of who her father is. It is what it is but none of this had to do with Tom as I am pretty sure Nick will turn out to be no good either. Notice how quickly he identified Reddington and extorted that money. Why was he still keeping up tabs on Liz and Tom? The fact is that Liz's existence gives credibilty to the existence of the Cabal and the Fulcrum, she is Harry Potter- the boy who lived in a way. the more the FBI looked into who she is the more they would figure out she was not Liz Keen, And The FBI is under the DIrector and the Attorney general and a load of Cabal people. The mistake with Tom was not in sending him but firing him.

  23. When you are #1 on the list you are #1 on all lists and the Black list becomes a thing of the past until the drive is checked and the fulcrum is checked and it is clear Connolly was a justifiable kill, a terrorist, guilty of sedition and espionage. Once the blame shifts she is cleared and the country goes under martial law where traitors and spies are shot on sight.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Director holds up News paper article Senate calling for complete investigation.

Cooper is taken into custody with evidence Connolly and the Cabal were behind the Senator's Assassination and the bombing as well. Press are all over the story. The Judiciary and Senate are accused of being corrupt justifying the President to declare martial law and let the military take over. Connolly is deemed a traitor based on Coopers info and in other countries much the same thing is going on.

  25. Red's emotion at the end were the best scene ever. Best outcome that Liz chose to go with Red instead of Tom.

  26. The final montage for me.Liz leaving with Red and her name joining Reds' on the board.I cant wait for Season 3!!!

  27. Spader always does an amazing job/he is one of those that I could listen to him read the damn phone book.......:-) I like Navabi & also Aram and I like the team interaction and there are times I welcome it & yet other times I am not certain I would miss all of it should some go away(talk about sitting on the fence carefully lol)I am curious how that interaction works next season then again there are many others that I am also curious about and hope this jazzes things up for wont of a better word.

  28. did not see that way. she I didn't feel that she chose Red over Tom, but rather that she wanted to clarify those memories that she recovered. The part she said "I remember everything" is not even close to what was going on at the time, she was only a child after all.

  29. It's hard to choose. All Tom/Liz scenes were my favourite. There was also something viciously satisying about Liz shooting Connely and wiping that smug smile off his face... But basically I loved the whole episode

    ReplyDelete
  30. Well, Tom predicted that she would not return to leave with him and the end she didn't and he left without him. The way I saw it, she chose her connection with Red over Tom. Maybe there wasn't enough time, but I think it meant something that Tom left without Liz. And they gave us that ending scene with Liz and Red in the car for a reason IMO, kind of reinstating that bond and trust that Red and Liz have...
