    Mary betrayed Francis in every imaginable way, had an affair, slept with another man, broke his heart on numerous occasions, and they have Francis forgive her in one episode.


    Mary really should have to earn his love back, but the writers really don't seem to give a shit about Francis so why would they take the time? Mary essentially got away with it because she was really really sorry and actually loved him all along.

    Mary/Francis got back together.and had sex no muss no fuss.

    Bash is magically tied to the witch and now.feels when she's in pain

    Bash/Kenna reunited and had sex but Kenna was pregnant with Renaud's child so she was just tricking Bash to protect her reputation.

    Kenna was.sent away to have the baby but met a boy king and zoomed in on him.

    Catherine did something really bad and Francis banished her so now she's teamed up with Elizabeth to take down Mary.

    Crazy stuff and most didn't make sense.

    There's a lot of doubt that he's actually forgiven her, or he may have forgiven her but doesn't actually love her anymore. Mary said she loved him multiple times throughout the episode, but I don't remember him ever saying it back.

    It's not really as bad as some people think:
    1. Mary realized the errors of her ways and did what she could to make things right and she did. As I've said countless times before, it gets worse before it can get better and the finale showed that it did.
    2. Catherine is well aware of her own mistakes but she has no regrets doing them and would do them again if she has to.
    3. Add Elizabeth into the equation, it's looking like Season 3 is gonna be a thrill ride of a rollercoaster.

    I just happened to come on this thread by accident, I've never seen Reign. I have always assumed it was a just a "realistic" teen version if The Tudors. If there are witches and such though I think I might check it out.

    NOthing realistic about it. I mean they really rip the history out of it. Elizabeth was the best QUEEN that England ever had. It was called the Golden Years. She reigned the protestants and catholics in peace. She was the virgin queen, because she never married nor had children. See Elizabeth with Kate Blanchett. I hope that Reign doesn't tarnish or ruin Elizabeth.

    I find it sad that when the women on the show aren’t conforming to the romantic expectations of the fans for this show- they recieve hate and anger from the fandom and are perceived as OUT OF CHARACTER.

    It is only when they are with their male counterparts, they are loved by the fans.

    Sad and hypocritical for all those people who speak on feminism and misogyny

    Mary shouldn't have to worry about her relationship with Francis. She has more important things to take care of : Elizabeth, Scotland, France etc.

    When Franco's does, Frary will be long gone. I fearsome people in this fandom only focus on frary and see it as the only thing Mary should care about. It's as if she is only truly loved and liked when she is with Francis andbcatering to his romantic needs.t is not the only part of Mary; her personal life's and failures should not be the most cared about and analyzed part in her life.

    We have to look at the bigger picture:

    She will only be Mary ,wife of Francis, once. She will always be Mary Queen of Scots

    Season 2A, Francis drew a wedge between him and Mary because of Stephane's blackmail that led to the events which resulted to her being attacked in the castle.
    Season 2B, Mary felt comfort in the arms of Conde who has been harboring feelings for her since the start of season and was only intensivce by her feelings of betrayal from Francis' earlier actions.


    Basically, Frary brought this upon themselves but they still found a way back to each other's arms after all has been said and done.

    What a hot mess! The episode was all over the place, pulled into all directions by too many story lines and with altogether too soap opera-style twists and turns. Mind you, I still love the show and I thought the second season as a whole wasn't entirely as terrible as people made it out to be, but I do hope season three will be more consistent and better written.

    I have to say...Best episode this season. Thank you! Frary is back but I would have I felt they could have waited a few more episodes to put them back together. NO! No, no, no to Francis dying! Kill Conde off instead of Francis! I will say yes to Lola and Narcisse but Kennash...I have lost all hope for that pairing. Kenna is never going to change and it makes me question if Kenna really ever did love him. Now as for Delphine, she has got to go! Don't need a crazy lunatic putting her paws all over Bash. I don't even know what to say about Catherine...

    I cant even remember when I stopped watching Reign. It was when everything with Conde started, I think, because I found it totally stupid and annoying.
    After weeks of not caring for the Show, I watched the finale and I loved it!!
    The Music was great, the acting, lovely costumes und so great to see Mary dooing something good. (stabing Conde and planing against him)
    I also liked Kenna with the King. It was funny, typical kenna :D
    I didnt know who Delphine was, but she annoyed me so much und Bash was so stupid for defending and believing her and I just want her dead, sry.
    What I really loved was the last Scene. We havent seen much of Elizabeth yet, but I already know I love her und the actress and Elizabeth with Catherine in Season 3 is going too be so good!
    I am really suprised with myself that I liked an Episode of Reign again :D But I loved it and actually exciting for Season 3. :)
    Sorry for my bad englisch, i hope you understand what i mean ;)

    Loved the finale! But NO to Francis dying so soon! At least wait until the end of Season 3 please! Looking forward to next season if the writing for the finale is any indication of how things will go.

    just skip it if you managed to by now. I should not still be wtching it myself. Conde as an exampe was his issues were in no way religious on the show to warrant his move aganst Francis and they used rape to bring in a love triangle. Just as examples.

    This is a shipper show, just like BatB, so that's the way it goes, we have to resign ourselves to that. The sad part is that it says A LOT about how women view themselves and what they aspire to be, an accesory to a man... It's very tragic...

    the only thing that gave me hope. I can buy francis wanting to protect her by giving her an heir. But I don't buy him still being in love with her. He straight up told nos I hope mary is pregnant so she'll be safe. He's no longer in the "I want a baby because I love you" stage. He's dying and he wants Mary to be safe when he goes. That still makes him too good for her but I take solace in the fact that toby still played their romantic scenes as francis not buying into mary's b/s. toby is a very skilled actor and when I watched just francis's actions in the francis/mary scenes you could see the change in him. He was not into it, at all. francis realizes the strong probability of mary being in love with his uncle in a few months.

    I think he may want to forgive her and that he really wants to mean it, but those feelings of betrayal don't disappear because you want them to. Mary didn't just sleep with Conde, she fell for him, she plan on leaving and she would've if he hadn't gotten sick. So yeah, I don't think he's really forgiven her and if he has, it's just like you said, because he doesn't care anymore.

    Hate Delphine & Bash/Delphine.Hope Kenna doesn't really leave or hook up with that child.So glad Frary got back together.Was happy at first Kennash was reunited til it was revealed she was pregnant with the generals baby.Am very excited to see more of Elizabeth.So glad Lola & John are ok.Was shocked Francis actually banished and de-titled Catherine.Glad to see Nostradomus again.Please Francis don't die yet.

    he's still sick and thinks he will die soon. He's taking meds from Nostradamus. I don't think he will leave until the end of season 3. And then reign will get a short season 4 to wrap up mary's time in france and transition her to scotland. I don't know if you know this, but reign got moved to the death slot next season, fridays at 8. The last two shows the cw moved to that slot only had a season and a half before cancellation. The same is happening to reign due to the low ratings this season.

    Yeah, I saw that, but it could be positive for the show too. In friday there're no expectations, so if it keeps the raitings it has now it could make a home there. I don't know, I'll be honest after BatB I think everything it's possiible.

    BATB is only getting 3 and a half seasons too. This one (season 4) will be their last and is a short order. It was the same for HOD and Nikita. HOD did better on fridays this year and they still cancelled it. Once the network moves a show to fri or summer, it's done after 4 seasons. They are just trying to get it to syndication.

    Good but not great. They messed up Kenna and Bash, and now Kenna is being creepy with the underage King.
    Wish we had more Lola and Narcisse, but give Katherines play, it could've gone worse.

    Did you guys see Sean Ts interview where he said he " doesn't think Monde romance will ever fade"?!WTF!Condes a traitor,wanted, married to Marys enemy,came to Mary as a spy ,tried to usurp her & Francis and she stabbed him,broke things off,lied to him about being pregnant,chose to save France,Francis,herself& reunited with Francis and he ran/married Elizabeth because he wanted for execution for adultery with Mary and he thinks their live won't fade?!Mary rejected his last few offers to flee to Scotland,and chose to stab him rather than flee,convert,marry him/be with him.Not to mention, an affair can and will result in their executions.

    A good season finale, for a weak second half of the season. This thing with Condé destroy the story and Mary looks so much weak this season, in for one her decisions are strong and clever, but the rape episode real ruin her as character. I have no doubt the next season will be the last, I hope the show us more about Mary final days and a little bit about Elizabeth threats.
