Great episode. Happy Mark is still alive, and really loved the scene with Helena and Parsons. The emotional high point of the episode for me, and Maslany was brilliant there.

Helena's storyline (and her scorpion) have been great so far! Cosima seems to be missing something without Delphine being with her. Alison is funny as always, but I'm not sure how her and Donny's current storyline (suburban drug - dealers) factor into this season. I'll wait and see how Sarah playing "Nancy Drew in the case of the Castor Conspiracy" storyline plays out before judging............so far it's OK, but just OK. The scene with Helena and the Castor clone reminded me of that scene with Hannibal Lecter and that FBI director. 4 THE ORPHAN CLONE CLUB, I am Nobody!!!
Really loved the scenes with Sarah and Mark, its nice to have some brother and sister time and clearly the best way to bond is over gross bullet wounds and digging up corpses!! Helena continues to be the best, I really thought that her decision to help the ailing Castor clone was both disturbing and yet kind of lovely of her.
The scenes between Sarah and Mark were the best. The moment between Helena and Parsons was touching too. I guess somehow Helena felt that he is her brother.
Awesome! I'm going to save most of my comments for Romain's review, but boy to get two open brain scenes two episodes in row, woaaaah!!!!!!! Glad Mark made it and I love the moments Sarah and him shared, which were beautifully (or some other word like horrifically) juxtaposed with Helena and one of the unknown Caster Clones!
"I'm loving Alison and Donnie's storyline this season but tonight it was just the best and a highlight of the episode for me. Of course Alison's ex-boyfriend would be the suburban drug boss! XD Great to see Justin Chatwin in another role and I hope we see more of him in the future. Another mention of Alison's infamous mother!! This has to be the season where we meet her, I can feel it."
I should be getting Orphan Black #3 (Alison's issue) Monday! I can't wait to see what it all in it. I know there's a flashback with her and Donnie from collage from a preview, but gosh I hope her mother is featured, just like Helena's scorpion was introduced in her issue!! XD
I'm rooting for Mark and Gracie too! --but unless Mark is playing Rudy, it almost seems like that when any of the Castor Bros get together, they psychologically snap back into line and put each other first--and that would be really sad, because Mark worked so hard to get away from them.
I was wondering about Allison's story line too---I keep wondering if there is also a connection back to Sarah and/or Felix ( and maybe Vick?), since they were drug dealing before, but I suspect they could be useful or get caught up in something LOL!
"The scene with Helena and the Castor clone reminded me of that scene with Hannibal Lecter and that FBI director."
Funny you say that, because I always thought those two would be hilarious together...to the point where I have been writing a Hannibal dinner party via meeting people in the grocery store, in which Helena, her scorpion, Felix, Walter Bishop. and Dexter all get invited to Dinner, as Helena eats like a pig, Walter discusses Stephen Hawking and time travel and where Dexter uses Walter Bishop's red vines to show unique blood spatter patterns coming from using Hannibal's samuri sword, and Felix raids Lectors closet and plays dress up---none of which is RUDE at all :p
Orphan Black does complications and twists like no other... They keep up the intensity soooo well. Highlights were everything Mark& Sarah.. what an interesting dynamic. & my favorite scene for sure was Helena mercy killing Parsons. Super dark.. Super awesome. My only complaints & I don't even like saying this really haha but the whole dyad/oliver/delphine stuff has been m.i.a for 3 episodes now... Things should be tying together soon(ish) atleast. Also as much as I loveeeee the break of comedy with Team Hendrix it is quite disconnected. Maybe thats the point? Alison tries to stay away from the clone stuff to protect her family & ends up getting in a mess anyway. But as the season moves forward I feel like it just doesn't flow very well. Or that time could be spent on more development elsewhere. But I suppose thats just nit picks. SEESTRA reunion next week! "sleep now lamb chop sleep".
I really liked the Team Hendrix stuff. Hope Allison doesn't go triangle-y on me with her high school sweetheart. I looooooove Donnie, and they're soooo good together. Plus she's the mastermind, she needs someone aloof like Donnie.
I really liked the Mark/Sarah team up. And I do think in the end there he was kinda trying to actually help Sarah, if he brings her back to base. He's taking her to Helena after all. Also nice to see there are ways to keep Rudy under check
Jordan was right. It has been a treat seeing Felix and Cos interact a bit more.
Helena's stuff was interesting. Crafty little survivalist bugger she is. But then the scene with Parsons... and, no lie, I started crying... poor guy... I'm glad we also got to see a bit more of Miller.
Poor naive Gracie. Kid can't seem to catch a break
Yeah, I agree. I also got the feeling that Mark is basically helping Sarah, by taking her to where Helena, is a payback for helping him. Finding her is all she wanted from him after all.
I think Jordan mentioned he gets involved in the Allison Donnie story at some point and I can't help to think a possible connection to one of the drug dealers (maybe even Allie's ex) might be how he does so.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

i am so convinced Mark is doing Sarah a solid that i would actually bet a nickel. 😀

ReplyDeleteIt felt a little slow... not bad, just slow.
