    meh finale, not bad in any way just...not explosive like many finales tend to be. No huge cliffhangers or anything. A rather satisfying season finale

    great episode. really enjoyed most of this there are a few issues. One I'm very hit and miss with Davina. I like her in her relationship with Josh and Marcel but I can't stand this whole anger/hatred for Klaus. Not saying Klaus doesn't deserve it but the actress is too young or just not very good. She just choked off as petulant and annoying rather than interesting. I'm not looking forward to an entire season of Petulant Brat Davina.

    I loved Dahlia as the villain she so great and I loved that she was so badass, angry, broken, and so smart. would have preferred an ending that limited her powers but kept her around as a villain. The idea of Klaus/Dahlia matching wits and taunting each other is so appealing.

    I really hate the ships on this show, except Marcel/Rebekah, they're ok but the other two are just so heavy handed and melodramatic and OMG no one else in the 1000 years I've loved can compare to you...blah, blah blah. I hated the end scenes with Klaus/Cami and I especially hated the Elijah/hayley scene. Oh yes, lets paint them as romantic because obviously Haley didn't just tell Jackson she loved him last week.

    I'm also really annoyed that Rebekah is give, this show needs Rebekah in some form, Freya isn't enough. I'm fine with Freya joining the family but not in place of Rebekah. I do love that Vincent is sticking around, great character, great actor.

    Final thought, lived that image of Dahlia/Esther locked in a death embrace and turned to ash, quite beautiful in a very odd way.

    Got what I wanted at any rate, no more wolves and no more 1st generation Mikaelsons. I will take Esther being gone as a compromise, though I wish the writers would stop with this type of writing. Marcel I don't still see him as any reason for being here now.

    Im sure Griffith's prediction on Davina will come true.

    Great episode, but in my opinion there was no cliffhanger, however, I will return for the next season :)
    On the other hand, now I understand why writers insisted so much on those interviews, about the Klamille scenes weren't romance, damage control about a possible people reaction? Anyway, I'm glad to stay that way.

    It was a great finale.. hoping Freya sticks around I like her. Was hoping Davina could bring Kol back... but it looks like she's going to be the bad for next season. Good finale. Can't stand Cami, so glad her and Klaus didn't kiss there at the end. Would of ruined the episode for me. Lol

    RIP Originals, Teasing Kol for 7 episodes is not cool, Esther had barely any speaking, no epic battles, Claire is gone again and they have the gall to have Micheal/JP tell us in person that "oh we still have more story everyone, just forget about the title and watch again for more recycled Elijah/Klaus crap, curing werewolves and raising Hope". Yup, not gonna miss it now.

    Aw man what a trip!! I know I've hated Esther all season, and I know I even said she won't be back. BUT I was talking about the black actress. The ANNOYING one. I was NOT thinking about the Original Esther, and I just want to say, I could not be more happy about that!! I loved that! I really did. She was a gift I didn't see coming. And I'm SO thrilled it was her instead of Kol.

    The scene with Esther, Elijah, Klaus, and Rebekah. I loved it. Forget about the situation and Elijah going against Klaus, I enjoyed ALL of them together in one room!! Aw man so many VD flashback feels!! I loved it. There's seriously no actor or actress that can take over one of the Mikaelson's roles and bring THAT feeling to the screen. They just can't. And just like that, they're taken away from me. Oh well, that feeling was good while it lasted. Shrugs.

    Davina- My god. This little girl jus annoyed the crap outta me! I mean f*ck! All she did was whine about Kol. It was so obvious that Rebekah was distracting her. And I'm glad it worked! Davina gets no sympathy from me. Idc if she NEVER gets Kol back. In fact I hope she never does. Ugh. Just so disappointing.

    Marcel and Rebekah- Still as boring as ever, but if I have to be bored by this couple at least I can take satisfaction knowing I was bored by the Original pairing!

    Elijah's door...heavy sigh...I'm sad about that. I was waiting.

    Haylijah- I got one scene. Thank god that's all I needed. OTP!

    Klamille- My other ship! Omg!! They will be the death of me!! And thank youuuu Cami for FINALLY admitting that you have feelings for Klaus. I've been waiting for that since season 1. Oh yes, closure, I love closure!

    Cami and Vincent- I enjoyed their scene. I really do enjoy this Vincent, the original model. He can stick around. He's a cool dude. I wonder what his role will be next season.

    Freya- Blahhhh, so I have to put up with her next season??? Ugh. REBEKAH COME BACK!

    Dahlia - Yes!! Witch bitch is gone. Ohhh, but I loved her face when she saw Esther. She looked Freaked! That was a great moment.

    Baby Hope - You cute little thing you! I'm so glad you're not taken. Time to see those powers next season.

    Overall despite what I did like that I mention above. I didn't care for this finale. (season 2 was way better) I didn't feel the hype with all the siblings dying. No one died, except the one person that was supposed to die, there was no cliffhanger, I felt jipped about Elijah, I lost two Original Mikaelson's within 10-20 min after they resurfaced. JOSH wasn't in this episode. Although I may be a happy about that, b/c that means he'll be back next season. I guess I can appreciate the name drop.

    But yeah everything was settled. Chapters were closed. I guess you can say this was a happy ending. Which is a little depressing. LOL Not used to that at all. Well you know what they say..."Happy endings are just stories that haven't finished yet.". Here's hoping season 3 is muchhhhh better.

    I voted "good" only b/c i got to see The Originals actually BE Originals. Having not seen that in years, they definitely gained some points with that for me.

    seems like it wont be an immediate thing, if they did not have Freya undo the curse in the finale, which I assumed they would(typical originals writing). So I assume it wont be immediately done next season.

    This episode could've been better with the ending of Klaus 's plan to kill Dahlia. Good to see Freya returning and

    Considering how easy it was to release them of the curse the first around i doubt Hayley will last more than three episodes as a wolf. I thought that the problem with the moon rings would take longer to resolve itself and it was done in one episode.

    I like Kaus and Cami, but if he isn't going to turn her, they might as well end it.


    Disappointed Claire Holt isn't staying.


    It was an okay ep, but I didn't feel like it gave me much to wait for till next season. No real cliffhanger, just nothing.

    I didn't really enjoy this season finale. I think that the episode was a bit flat and i don't see where the story is going in season 3. Davina really annoyed me , if she will be the "vilain" of S3 , i'm gonna laugh so hard , cause no one can take this foolish tennager seriously.
    The battle scene was too quick and kind of weird , & too bad the real esther didn't had better scenes , i love the actress . I didn't see the point of claire's return. It was too quick & not really pertinent.
    Love Klaus&Cami , they'r cute. And love vincent too , the actor is great. For elijah , no comment...
    So in general , it was so-so for me....

    It was surprisingly low key. I know it wasn't going to be huge like Arrow's or the Flash's will be. But surprised by the not much set up for next season beyond Klaus has hope and has alienated his family.

    I kind of liked that, it's not relying on a cheap cliffhanger to keep us attatched but tied up its storylines. I actually kind of liked that.


    They did set up Davina as the next big bad, although I kind of doubt that this is going to be all. Someone else will step up to wreck havoc. And you know who I want that to be (albeit it seems like Klaus/Elijah seem to be at the same point they were in season 2/3 of TVD again, so not much trouble there)

    Because Kol, like it or not, has been sidelined by the show. And this isn't a new thing but the status quo for the character.


    The problem is...if shown more Kol might actually turn out to turn annoying. Remember he's been in a total of 15 episodes max. on both TO/TVD.

    I love him but I'm afraid that the writers see the same I'm seeing and that being the potential fact that Kol might turn into something very annoying if kept longer

    I don't think Davina is there yet, they should develop hee motivation more before taking her there. Mostly because it dies not seem like she was completely in love with Kol, everything has been infatuation for her and her "hatred" for Klaus seemed underused and underdeveloped. But im sure she will get there.

    Seems like we can have Claire back for big moments, seems like she does not want to be tied down to a show permanant. Im elated about the wolves, but only because they are the most boring part of the entire series. If Plec wanted to attempt something maybe, but I doubt it. But hopefully no more melodrama with them anymore.

    Seems like they can close the book on Hope Klaus need for power being the main focus anymore.

    KLAUS MIKAELSON WHY DID YOU NOT KISS CAMI?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DAMN IT!!!!!!!! That scene was PRIME for a make-out session!!!!! I'm so GLAD that Klaus apologized to Cami about what he did, really glad. Cami admitting that she has feelings for Klaus and thinks and is basically sure that Klaus has feelings for her too was great. That Hayley and Elijah scene, i don't know what to make of it: hope, or...? The siblings fighting together was amazing and Freya basically proving herself showed that maybe she DOES belong with the siblings. I'm getting real tired of Claire Holt coming back for just one episode, it's stupid. I get the whole Aquarius thing but tell us before her episodes air so we can be ready.

    You don't have to agree.. I just would rather see Klaus with someone new. I hope they introduce a new character next season. Even if its a friend of Camis, or new witch. I've even got some actresses in mind to play the part. Lol but I'm sure the writers will force Klaus and Cami on us like they have been for 2 seasons.

    Great finale, Season 1's was better though, in my opinion.
    I was expecting a bit more... acting, I guess from Esther's scenes. Though it was all good once they were all in the room with Dahlia.
    Bit of a flashback to The Vampire Diaries Season 3 with Klaus, Elijah, Rebekah and Esther in the same room.

    I guess Finn was the only Mikaelson not to be shown in his Original Vampire body at some point this season, probably more to do with the fact that Casper Zafer doesn't act anymore.


    A bit annoyed that Kol wasn't brought back, they've been teasing that for half a season pretty much, but I'm glad they've left it open as an arc for next season. Perhaps if Nathaniel Buzolic's new show is cancelled he could return mid-season as a recurring / regular cast member.


    So The White Oak Stake is destroyed now? I guess there's no way to permanently kill Klaus, Elijah or Rebekah's Original body now unless an extremely powerful witch is involved.
    I was hoping Original Rebekah would stick around for at least the Season 3 premiere. Ah well. I quite like the new actress anyway, so no complaints.



    I'm hope the crescent curse actually sticks around till the writers can give the wolves a decent story.
    I'm pretty satisfied in that Freya will be in the main cast next season, she was one of the many, many highlights of Season 2.
    On a side note, I wonder if Finn is ever going to escape from Freya's talisman... Hmm.



    Pretty keen for Season 3. I'm not jumping with excitement for it, but I'll be very happy when it returns and to see where they go with the story.

    Nothing changes. Rebekah's gone again. Davina hates Klaus - that's been her thing since s1. Despite all the hype, Dahlia accomplished nothing. Hayley's still alive. Nothing will ever happen to baby Jesus, she's just passed around.


    22 episodes to tell a story that could have been told in 3.

    I thought this episode was really good. Liked the elijah and cami scenes and elijah was not on a happy mood about haley either I like the angry side of him. I don't blame elijah for bring mad at klaus but yet I can't help to feel sorry for him
    Kind of liked when elijah punched klaus and he said he was not going to be by his side that's new but wonder how long that will last because I love their relationship. Elijah and haley scene I loved because they are my ship and wanted cami and klaus to kiss maybe next season and elijah will help haley. The end scene was great and happy that all the siblings are together including freya. And love freya and klaus and wanted Claire to stay bur don't mind maize. The gia part was sad when they burned her coffin.elijah betrayed davina big deal she is always against them anyways and kol is like siblings and elijah needed to take dahlia down. Cant wait til the new season
    And hoping elijah can save haley like he always done was hoping elijah and haley would kiss but I will take what I get

    It's actually funny, I never thought for a second he would be back. All the fans kept saying it and I never took it to heart. I honestly didn't care, and for them to listen to JP or whomever said he'd be back, is just laughable. I think in this case, regarding who they actually brought back, they made the right call.

    Papa Klaus has good story telling voice. I wouldn't mind listening to his voice and sleeping in his lap.*wink**wink*

    It was a very satisfying finale. I am glad Freya didn't turn out to be a bad person. I think right now Klaus and her have better relationship than Klaus with his other siblings. It was great to see original Ester. Her and Dahlia dying together and standing there as ash statue with all the children behind them was a good scene.

    White oak stake is gone??? I was really surprised by that. There is not much standing against the Originals now. I am sad to see Masie leave. Davina one of my favorite characters from season 1 is really annoying now this season. It was understandable to an extend when she wanted to unlink Klaus and kill him. But her Kol obsession is really annoying and stupid considering what we know about the character.

    Surprisingly after reading all the bad/mixed comments here, I was quite pleased by the episode.
    It had a nice dynamic, the story was told in an interesting way and the conclusion was rather satisfying. Of course I would've hoped for a S03 tease, but we shouldn't be greedy. ^^ The only thing missing for me in this episode to be really perfect, was Marcel taking that stake instead of pushing Klaus away.
    It would've been a heroic way to protect the ones he turned. But NO, he had to survive. *roll eyes*
    I love both Rebekah's and loosing both of them is terrible but tossing between them could be fun and I would love for a pregnant Bekah to step by next week. She would really deserve it.

    I agree that destroying the white oak stake was a stupid decision, but we saw that a strong enough witch can almost rip Klaus apart, so bring it on (but not with Davina).
    Alice Evans was beautiful in her appearance and I loved the way her resurrection ended.
    DAVINA's face upon seeing Esther raise priceless!!!!!



    I hope we get at least a small teaser of what is to come next season. And assuming that this episode didn't end with a time jump, it seems like VD will. (TvLine sweeps scorecard item revealed ^^)

    I'm done with this show, maybe after it's cancelled or ended I will buy the DVD.

    It got so boring, I forced myself to watch the last episodes in the hopes it would got better, but it didn't.

    – I was so disappointed to see Hayley showing up in the finale, she should have died in season 1

    – The baby should've never be born, if she doesn't grow up fast the show is going to become more boring.

    – Cami is useless like Marcel, they too should have died

    – Rebekah was my favourite character, if the real person is not coming back, don't bother writing her in the show (NO FAKE REBEKAH)

    – The FAKE Kol was annoying, I watched hoping the real one would show up but he never did, again as with Rebekah if you can' t give use the real one, don't bother

    – I was hoping to see Esther since the beginning of the Season, too bad the actress came for such a meaningless role I hope she got paid enough.

    – Davina the annoying, arrogant witch bitch, I was so disappointed with her being resurrected in S1, Now that we have a better , more powerful and less arrogant witch (Freya) please kill Davina slow and painfully.

    Last season was revenge on Klaus, this season the better brother back, your promise to kol, resurrected KOL, blah blah.

    – Dhalia : I really liked her, I was hoping she could join forces with her family, she is their aunt after all.

    – Freya : I am glad she is staying, maybe she will be the one to kill Davina. The originals needed a sister that would not run off too become a weak human.

    As for this season & why I stopped watching after the finale:

    1. Finale was fast and weak with no action
    2. Hayley, Cami, Davina and Josh are still alive
    3. The siblings are fighting again.
    4. No interesting plot for season 2
    5. All my fav characters are killed or not returning “REAL” Kol, Esther, Rebekah and Mikael.
    6. Again all the characters that should have die are still alive
    7. I was rooting for Klaus, Elijah and Rebekah in tvd and s1 of the originals but now I won't mind if they die or the show ended/cancelled

    I do watch TO. I am just not obsessed about it like Arrow. I was rooting for Davina in season 1. I wanted her to get a win against Klaus then. Her best features were she acted like a teenager and her relationship with Marcel. But this Davina on a power trip who harps on about Kol is really unbearable.

    I couldn't agree more... And to tell the truth, the forced Hayley /Elijah romance and the way it's portrayed make the show often unwatchable for me (especially as Elijah's my fav character).


    Enjoyed Esther, I always enjoy Alice Evans, I just miss the orginal Kol (kind of hoped he might be back)...


    A decent finale.

    She's not all alone, she has Josh her best friend, and she should've been by his side to mourn with him at least. She's been very selfish in that department, I don't understand why they separated these two all season long, Only giving them a few scenes here and there, it was ridiculous. Davina's obsession with Kol is too much. She's acting like this is her first boyfriend ever In life. He spent half the relationship using her, hell they haven't even slept together yet. She should not be this hard up for his affection. (Pun intended). I know she's young, but shit,she's 17 now, not 16, have some freaking wisdom and stop being a brat. When she was 16 her actions were acceptable, she was a dumb child that knew nothing, she's been through a helluva lot since then, you would think something could've stuck. And the funny thing is she was more mature when we first met her.

    U're right, I can't justify her clingy attitude but I mean understand it yes. There is also the fact that Kol was only hers, just like Josh found Aiden.
    The major issue is that their "lovestory" was demonstrated that powerful to understand her actions at this point.

    Josh had Aiden, but he didn't abandon her. And he's not obsessing over his death either. So that's not an excuse. Her attitude is tiresome. I hope she is the big bad next season so everyone can kick her ass.

    My comment was not meant for people to agree with me, I merely wanted to express my disappointment and frustration for the show.

    I started watching to see the family together (ALL OF THEM) and be entertain instead Rebekah left, Kol, Finn and Esther were replaced with other actors.

    When the show is over I will buy the DVD, but the show became way to boring for me to invest my time in it.

    I watch other show too like TVD(after this season not anymore), Game of throne(after last episode not anymore), Da vinci demons, from dusk till dawn, Supernatural(after this season not anymore), I gave on most of them for the same reason.

    I don't watch a show to become a fan, I watch to be entertain, or for the action.

    As for Hayley, I don't hate her, I just think that like Cami and Davina, she doesn't have a interesting story.

    To tell you the truth for the last 4 episode I kept skipping through all scenes with Cami, Davina and Hayley and after watching the last episode without skipping, Cami still didn't had any purpose, Davina is still mentioning Kol in every scene and Hayley was still trying to run away with Hope but getting nowhere.

    Did they really destroyed the only two weapons able to stop an Original and Klaus in less than 45 minutes?.
    I really didnt liked those parts, first teh freaking dagger that took ages to make and then the oak stake? You freaking kiddin me?.
    It was a good episode and i love that everyone is leaving Klauss. Yeah his plan worked but he still needs to pay for wehat he has done, and leaving Hayley like that was the worst.

    I know a lot of people are annoyed by Davina now but I'm not. I still love her because I absolutly get why she is pissed. They lied and betrayed her AGAIN!! They do it to her over and over and over again and I'm glad she is not taking anyones crap! I know she has the wrong idea about what kind of person Kol is but hasn't anyone of us been seeing thinks thru rose-coloured glasses because of love at some point in our lives? I hope she findes a way to bring Nate!Kol back and I believe it will be interesting to see that rose-coloured glasses being lifted ..
    I was pretty disappointed that he didn't came back in the finale but I still loved it. There wasn't a big cliffhanger or a new big bad introduction which was different.. but I kinda liked it BECAUSE it was different. And I guess the TVD finale is going to wreck me enough as it is .. so it's probably a good thing the TO finale didn't.

    I don't care what you mother have done to you, what did they to Esther was just wrong.

    Rebekah and Elijah was willing to kill Klaus because he killed their mother in TVD but know they have no problem taking her out of "heaven" chain her and drag her barefoot outside.

    That is just wrong, she did not deserved that. It's like she is going to die anyway why bother with shoes. From Klaus I expected the worst but I lost all respect for Elijah and Rebekah.
