  1. Good episode over-all. I'll be surprised if Sean does not turn out to be Jack the Rippah.

And hello SORAS'ed Diana. I just hope Mama Burkhardt doesn't bite the bullet. :(

  2. Looks like Renard is possessed by Jack the Ripper and good night and goodbye Henrietta( too soon waste of a good character). I'm guessing Nick's scream in the promo is from his finding his Mother dead at his house. I wonder if Moma Grimm even appears in the episode and instead they just have him find her after the Royals have attacked the house and taken Diana. They really have set a one way road to hell for Juliette.

  3. Jinkies. I didn't even think about the supposed possessed solder!Jack the Ripper and everything that's going on with Renard. That totally makes sense, though.

With the exception of those deaths (RIP Henrietta), this was one of those "theater of the absurd" type episodes with enough morbid humor that you just know much of the rest of the season is going to be completely devastating. So, on that cheery note...

  4. I think that was why Nick screamed in the promo - he found his Mother. He is going to need all the help he can get from Trubel now. I guess Monroe will be in the hospital from being shot by Juliette the Mad Witch Of the Pacific Northwest ( by forcing Nick to do it). I was surprised that Adalind gave up her powers to test the potion after all she went through in the ritual to recover her powers before. It is almost like they are setting up Adalind to be the new "Juliette".

  5. Well being that Monroe is still standing when trubel shows up I think he's fine I'll be honest I'm having fun about this

  6. I am not having any fun if they kill Moma Grimm. And I stopped thinking Juliette was reclaimable after the trailer incident. Monroe was funny, as usual, this week. It was a good episode.

  7. Nick has got to be one of the worst ... Grimms ... ever. The gang knows Juliette is being overcome by the Hexenbeist, yet they hand the only jar of elixir that will surpress her powers and ask her to pretty please take it. That's in addition to the entire gang defensively surrounding her at the same time. Yep, that was going to turn out well.

It makes me wretch to see Nick tenderly tuck Adalind under the covers. Not only that, but to hear Nick say that no one will take away her unborn son is outrageous! Adalind has attacked and/or tried to kill every single person that Nick cares for ... family and friends alike. I guess all is forgiven though because Adalind is pregnant with his son and the show is determined to make Juliette the next big bad. This is wrong on every single level.

Judging from the previews, I would say Juliette lures Kelly to Nick's and it's the Royals who kill Kelly and take Diana without Juliette knowing. I just can't see Juliette doing the deed herself because then there is no where to go with this character than to have Nick kill her. Let's not forget that Nick has also taken a life while under a (Zombie) mystical influence. I know everyone covered up Nick's crime because he wasn't himself and it was self-defense. However if Nick was in his right mind, then he could've taken out the guy at the bar and not fatally injure him. The only difference between Nick and Juliette would be that Juliette's actions would carry far more weight because it could be Nick's mother who dies and not a stranger.

I'll join in the crowd who thinks Renard maybe possessed by Jack the Ripper as an unintended consequence of Renard's mother saving his life. A portal may have been opened that the Ripper's spirit could escape and take hold of Sean. Too bad the Ripper killed Henrietta because she knew what was happening to Renard.

I'll see what happens at the end of the season to see if I want to keep watching this show. Right now it's kind of doubtful because Grimm is really starting to go off the rails.

  8. Oh please don't let it be Monroe!

  9. Of course the show had Adalind's powers surpressed in the very same episode as the gang saw Juliette's powers in full force. It's a twisted way of making Adalind good and Juliette evil. This is so wrong, so very wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  10. "unintended consequence of Renard's mother saving his life" just as Juliette's turning into a Grimm is an unintended consequence of his mother's help. Elizabeth is batting zero as far as helpfulness goes.

  11. Well being that mamma grimm only shows up once ever season I'm not all that tore up. I don't care if Juliette is redeemable at this point she's doing good as a villian and she's actually a threat not like those small time wesen nick beats up or kills since she can take them on her own

  12. One of the better episodes of the season; alot of Adalind, who I've always loved, and she's getting more likeable as a character, hopefully she's not the one that dies.

    ReplyDelete
  13. so they ARE switching roles? Adalind for Nick UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  14. Another awesome episode, I'm loving this season. I almost cheered when Hank and Juliette decided to call Trubel. About time! Sadly it looks like Nick's mom might be the one to die. This show has so many great recurring characters in Grimm that it's sad to see any of them go...even if they're just guest characters. Killing off Henrietta also seemed like a waste of a character with a lot of potential. I wish they had kept her around. I really hope no one else dies, but the Renard story is looking a bit ominous.

Sigh. Juliette. Bitsie really does a great job at playing a villain, but they're really making it more and more difficult for me to feel empathetic towards Juliette after what she did. It would make sense that this new Juliette would want to hurt Adalind, but Monroe and Rosalee? I know she's a Hexenbiest, but we never saw this level of senseless destruction from Adalind, Henrietta , Renard's mom or Adalind's mom. I have to keep reminding myself that the transition period brings out the worst in Hexenbiests and that she probably has little control over this, but watching her plot with the Royals to set a trap for Nick's mother was such an awful and calculating move, , Juliette's new willingness to work with the Royals sounds like another Hexenbiest trait, paralleling Adalind's story. I remember reading somewhere (probably Wiki) that Hexenbiests are strongly loyal to the Royals, which would also be consistent with Adalind's, willingness to sed by Renard, Viktor and then Kenneth. Speaking of which, for a moment, I thought that Adalind was going to cry when she realized that she lost her Hexenbiest powers again. She went through hell to get them back after Nick took them away the last time, only to have to suppress them, Watching her talk to her dead mother and watching the reluctance of the team to let her stay with them really emphasized the fact that she had no one, which it why I really hope that the writers keep up the redemption arc with her character.

It's always nice to see Bud, but if Juliette contacts him, it's going to be impossible for Bud to lie to her without falling apart.!

  15. Yeah Elizabeth might be a
badass hexenbiest but she is not really good with potions or spells when it
comes to help someone. Also I think you made a mistake when writing your
comment you meant Juliette’s turning into a hexenbiest not a Grimm

    ReplyDelete
  16. Well for one thing Adalind and the rest (maybe besides renards mom) were never as strong as Juliette is and I think your forgetting one important thing they born as hexenbeasts they more or less had real guidance while Juliette was made. made hexenbeast are more dangerous the pure hexenbeast maybe humans can't withstand this power and were never ment to

    ReplyDelete
  17. Well seen this episode makes
me believe now that this last episodes are definitely going to get even
crazier. I mean Renard is by the looks of it possess by jack the ripper since
how come the jack the reaper shows at Henrietta’s house and we see in the promo
Renard attacking Wu ( i guess now the hands that Renard saw in his dream now
makes sense since they might be Jack’s reaching his body), Adalind is turning
into a good person since she helps the team with the potion to fix Juliette
(although you can say she is just doing this to not get herself kill by her which
is probably true),but I liked that scene with Adalind talking to his mother
about saying in the end she will raise her children in a good way not like his
mother raise her, and also Juliette is really turning into a really good
villain (even though I still hate when an ally turns bad in every show).
Overall I’m loving this season and I’m sure is going to end with a bang which
is going to make us the fans shock , angry and impatience since we will have to
wait god knows what for season 5.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I didn't forget that . As I said, we've never seen what the transition does to a person, which it makes it difficult to have any comparison.

They want to go Dark Willow with Juliette, but truly is Katrina all over again... DONT LIKE. I hope is the hexenbiest spirit who is doing this, I want the real... MY JULIETTE BACK.

  20. Didn't Henrietta say that Juliette was the most powerful Hexenbeist she's ever encountered? Also, Monroe said that the way Juliette became a Hexenbeist is unprecedented. Even if we did see a Hexenbeist come into her powers, I'm not sure it can be compared to Juliette's transformation because she's experiencing a once in a lifetime, worst case scenario.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Why the f*ck did those idiots give that bitch a choice! Force it down her throat or put three in her chest.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Katrina was way worse then this honestly, but I also never found Juliette interesting in any capacity before with her boring long drawn stories that just dragged the show down. But I do have a problem with what they are doing with Adalind though, everything she did is probably going to be brushed over because of the baby.

  23. Way to go to make Adiland look like a saint after all the crap she has pulled. She's carrying Nick's bay-So,now all is forgiven & Juliette is the one needs to get out of the way.Ya,right!

    ReplyDelete
  24. I hated Juliette because I couldn't see where her Character was going, now I double hate her because of what she is becoming... I think that somehow the writers are ding to much of her as villain... What they do to her is kind of punishing Nick and it is not fair to him... (it is certainly not for her either..) ..I don't like the idea of Adalind becoming a good one .. I kinda cannot wait to see Trubble, mama Grimm and all of them in the Battle ... Think it will be a great episode !..

    ReplyDelete
  25. Oops. Right, Hexenbiest. It was late and I was sleepy.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Totally off subject, but whatever happened to Dr. Harper, the medical examiner? I liked her.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I'm sorry but getting sick of this complaining about Juliette no one liked her because she was boring and had no direction now she has direction and is moving things along and it's too much and she hasn't even killed anyone yet and if nick can't handle being a grimm he shouldn't have turn back into one
Bottom line things have only just begun and there already a fuss and honestly I don't get it

    ReplyDelete
  28. It's totally you're right !
And it's also mine to like or not a character ... and giv my opinion ..
if everyone love the same thing it's kind of boring don't you think !?

I'm a firm believer that for compelling drama to work there should be more grey than black and white and as such there is always the possibility for redemption. For Grimm this is true for both Juliette and Adalind.

Juliette is behaving pretty badly but she shouldn't be written off entirely just yet. There's still hope for her. Adalind is a different story in that Claire Coffee has a better sense of comedic timing. The absurdity of having Adalind be pregnant with Nick's baby comes off with just enough silliness that it makes it more fun to watch.

Sorry to say it but David Giuntoli, Silas Weir Mitchell and Bree Turner play it better with Claire Coffee than with Bitsie Tulloch. The result is a better dynamic. Sorry guys but its true.

The result is that I'm enjoying where this story is going and lends to the suspicions I've had from the beginning that its not Nick and Juliette that are the star crossed romance of this show but Nick and Adalind.

  30. Nick & Adiland -Star crossed Romance? Are you serious?!?

Yes. These things happen in movies and shows more often than we think.

  32. Well,if they go this route,i'm definitely out.

  33. Thanks to Adalind and Claire's comedy skills I can vote for Good.

  34. Awesome episode, I always like Adalind, I think she will replace Juliette (because after this episode, she will be dead by the end of the season). What happening to Renard, he going crazy, I hope they reveal this for us in the next episode.

Mama Grimm and Trouble are coming back, great.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I've always hated Juliette and I always wanted Nick and Adalind together. So i am happy if it happens.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I cannot express how strongly I hope Juliette is NOT being *played* by Kenneth because that would mean that they have taken a smart character and made her stupid so they can can't their plot to turn out the way they want.

The other major issue I had with the episode was the lack of a single cool head in the whole get Juliette to drink the suppressant broth scene. I can easily understand Nick and Rosalee being in denial to the point that they believe that deep down Juliette wants to go back to the way things were. But NO ONE (Wu?) pointed out they shouldn't give her all of it?

The Super Duper Hexenbiest went down way too easily. Unbelievably (not in the good way) easily.

I can't give the ep an awesome this week. It ended with some major elements that bounce me out of the story. The Jack the Ripper case was proving quite interesting. I do like it when they run a case over more than one episode.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I have to admit, I would have been upset if they did try to force the potion down Juliette's throat. At this point in time, they have no real way to tell how much she actually wants to be a hexenbiest vs. how much is denial, since she's had no reason to believe there was a cure vs. a magical personality change.

This way they at least tried to get her consent first, even granting that they badly mishandled the situation.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I wish that Nick had been able to even try to accept Juliette as she is, because I would hope anyone who claims to love someone so much would be willing to at least try. But I also feel like this is somewhat Juliette's fault as well. She practically forced the Hexenbiest on Nick by wanting him to kiss her and love how she looks when she is hideous with glowing red eyes and doesn't even HAVE lips to kiss! (Has anyone else noticed how the skin is shredded around her lips and strings together?) When I saw Juliette pretty much baiting Nick to be repulsed by her I kept thinking that she was going too far, obviously he would have trouble with it. She could have just showed him once and then only transformed in self-defense. The story would have been very different.
Even Adalind knows better than to constantly show her Hexenbiest side to people. It makes people scared or grossed out. And if she did constantly do that in front of Nick he would not be treating her as gently, even with his son in her womb.
