  1. Great episode until they repeated last seasons ending with Canning. I think I would have liked to have seen Alicia move on personally for a change whether it was with Finn or Peter!! Has it been renewed yet? I'm assuming it will but didn't see the official word yet!!

  2. The season finale was underwhelming. What was the point of this season? It felt like the show went in circles. The poor supporting cast (Kalinda, Diane, Cary, David, etc.) did not have much to do all season. The ending for Kalina was anticlimactic - a big build up that fizzled like a wet firecracker.

Also, why is Alicia still married to Peter when she clearly wants to move on with her life? The kids are grown and don't care if they get a divorce. Finn was right to back off since Alicia wants to cling to Peter for his political clout and still have a relationship with him.

  3. The episode was better than I expected... but that's not saying much. How were the ratings this season? I hope they pull the plug next year but if people are still watching I'm sure they'll drag it out a couple more seasons.

Archie Panjabi should consider herself lucky, can't wait to see what she does next!

  4. It was one of the first shows CBS renewed a few months back..

  5. Terrible.... I will no longer watch the show. I believe Matthew Goode is leaving this show and who can blaim him. His fantastic talent was wasted since he joined the cast so he will devote his time and talent to DA where I am sure he will shine like in anything else he did.

  6. Yes totally ridicules, they are going in circles without any fresh direction to make it more interesting. They had a very good chemistry betwin Finn and Alicia which could have been used to give new dimension to the show and have her move on with her life. Win, loose or draw with that venture would have been better than what they did now back to where I have no clue to be honest. Poor Matthew Goode I am sure he is very disappointed as are all of us who fallow his work and know what a great and versatile actor he is and what he can bring to any project he works on.
Too bad for TGW they have gone from bad to really bad.

  7. Oh I thought that the cancellations were all that they announced but were yet to confirm the renewals.

  8. Well the exit of Kalinda was pretty anti-climatic. So much interesting set up that I was expecting so much more and that fizzled. While the scene with Alicia and Kalinda was good, it too was anti-climatic.

What bothers me even more though is the fact that it appears they have written out Matthew Goode. He and Julianna have such great chemistry and their made a great team. I really hate that they are letting that go. I really hope that it was a mislead and we will find out that Alicia runs after Finn and says that she wants him as a partner in every since.

I can see her still being tied to Peter even if she divorces him because they have shared children together and a shared past. They still respect each other. So why not let her be free to be loved and to love someone who really wants her true partnership?

And ugh, please no with Canning. I really wish they would can his character. He really is not interesting in the slightest and is too mean and nasty to love to hate even. Nope, would love to see him gone.

  9. Reading the comments here I didn't know how a lot of people disliked this season, I thought it was pretty fun, but I can see the disappointment. Alicia's run for SA was one of my favorite parts, although it was extremely disappointing to not let her explore the job, the way they threw her back to the beginning was abrupt and pointless, especially since they planned to have her do a repeat of her storyline with Cary. Why can't she open a business all by herself? Still, I would have loved to see Alicia as SA, it would have given her a lot of conflict and great opportunities to develop as a character.
As for Kalinda, I really hope she comes back, because if this was it then I will be very sad, she deserves to go out with a bang.

Considering the ratings were the same for the finale last night as the previous season I can't imagine them not renewing.

  14. It's unrealistic to expect a show to be fresh, impeccably written & keep its momentum in its 6th season, especially after the male lead has been written out & another core cast member also needs to be written out. However, I never thought I could ever be disappointed by a single episode of TGW, let alone by 10 in a row.
The best part of the finale: Kalinda didn't die. It was a fitting exit for her character, even if it was underwhelming. She was ready to sacrifice herself for the people she loved (Alicia/Cary/Diane) & take all the blame, but she was also smart/practical enough to escape before Bishop or the police caught up to her. That's very much in character.
The worst part of the finale: Alicia's attitude towards Kalinda. I never put much stock in rumours before, but WTH was that all about?!Julianna barely looked at Archie during that bar scene.Whatever issues the two actresses had, they hurt the quality of the show. The last few eps of s6 made it painfully obvious that as far as Kalinda is concerned, Alicia can be quite an ungrateful b!tch & a hypocrite.
The second worst part of the finale: Canning. Nobody wants to see another contrived Canning plot. I hope Alicia turns him down. Better to partner her up with Geneva Pine and develop a friendship between them.

Wait a minute, isn't Prady the State's Attorney now? He wouldn't approve of the kind of shenanigans Matan Brody was involved in here.

  16. It would be several months before he comes into office, though. Also, I doubt Matan takes Prady's campaign promises seriously.
