  1. It's about time they gave the Captain a storyline that wasn't just tied to his family.

I'm excited to see the conclusion, but sad that this will be the Season Finale...

  3. Actually I would love to see the captain promoted to demographics and Bell promoted to captain. Then have Holmes and Watson split their time between them.

    Absconded 3:23

Joan’s scalpel as it relates to discretion as contrasted with Holmes’ meat axe. Dramatizing by Joan’s concluding the investigation without offending a rising star in the police department. Holmes offending the corporate executives, who were actually initially grateful to him for solving the murders of their colleagues, and offending the diplomat.
Holmes and Watson are really bad-cop, good cop role models.
Love Holme’s concern for bees. It does cause him to go off on a tangent in his investigation. But even then his tangent provides information he can use.
Very tight episodes. A crime by the USDA inspector in the course of committing a crime, he’s murdered by a person whom he had committed a crime against whom in turn lead Holmes to, discovers a crime against USDA’s boss, which reveal a crime against the Sheik, and most important to Holmes, the crime of murdering bees.
Last scenes are a set up for future episodes. There is a hint that someone powerful wants the Captain out of major crimes.
On a personal note I had a boss just like the captain. He saw one of his primary jobs was looking out for his people. Good man and whenever I see the captain, I think of my old boss.
My accolades to the writers of this tight episode and the actors for carrying it out.
