  1. This was hands down the best season yet. This finale was also great and it really cements Norman Bates as "Psycho". Really have no idea where they will take season 4 but if they keep it up it will be very good. My guess is there will be two more seasons after this one.

  2. I would just like to say that I called the deaths (Bob P & Bradley) and that the kiss was Emma & Dylan NOT Romero and Norma (so sad). Regardless, a great episode even though I was rooting for Romero & Norma. I definitely think they are grooming him to be the infamous lover she's killed along side. But I think this is the first episode which she has actually told him the truth, without him asking for it - so hopefully a big step. That and he killed for her - just saying.

  3. Ya, I read Carlton Cuse state they have a five season plan, so with any luck I think two more seasons it is! :)

  4. Awesome Finale! Can't believe they left us with a non definitive answer about Bradley's existence, which will be fun for next year or season 5...

Loved Dylan and Emma scenes, Romero and Norma also continue to get closer, kind of sad the writers killed off Bob Paris, but at least we still have some other characters out there that can seep back in whenever like Chick Hogan, Romero's father, Caleb, James, The DEA agent(s), and Cody & possibly Bradley...

Hope Emma's transplant goes alright, but I'm curious if the Institution will play an actual role next season?

All I ask is that if Ian Tracey's character didn't make it in The 100, then please bring him back to Bates Motel. I miss Remo.

Ok A&E, please renew this already!

  5. I think Bradley was definitely real. Otherwise, that little montage of her stealing and smashing stuff makes no sense.

  6. Agreed. I was on the edge of my seat with each passing episode. I HATE knowing we have to wait for the next season now! Agh!
Also, I will never, ever hear "Be My Baby" the same way again. Ever. God, that ending was creepy as hell.

  7. I had a feeling Romero was going to shoot Bob on that dock, but I still gasped out loud when he actually did it. They did a great job of ratcheting up the tension in that scene between those two. I'm really curious to see where Romero's storyline will go next season, with all he did tonight. I don't want him to die, and yet, I fear that you are right that his lifespan on this show won't be very long :(. Especially the more Norman sees them getting closer and closer.
But yes. Though their actions were tied to some really sketchy situations, this should pretty much confirm how much those two love each other.

  8. That's the big thing giving me pause, too, yeah, that and the actual murder scene with her tonight. Otherwise I'd been wondering if that was the route they'd take, too, that Bradley HAD died all that time ago and she was merely Norman's hallucination. I like that idea, mind, but at the same time, having her be murdered by Norman plays a big role in his transformation, so...

  9. I'm curious about that institution, too. I actually cringed a little when Norma brought that up to Norman, 'cause, yeah, you just knew that was not a conversation that would end well. But it'll be interesting to see if they bring that back-considering the way the movie itself ends, it would make sense we'd see that place again.
I loved the whole thing with Emma's reaction to the transplant news. I was on Dylan's side in wanting her to do this, but her reasons for hesitating made a lot of sense, too, especially the way she was spooked at the thought of taking the lungs of a poor dead person only to see if they MIGHT work in her. That was really poignant and heartbreaking. I'm glad Dylan was there to comfort her and talk it out with her :). I hope things do work out for her on that front, too.
And YES to A&E renewing this. I need that news, like, now :p.

  10. I thought that at first, but then they still didn't follow through with it, meaning we get no conformation from anywhere that the house was broken into...and I think Norman would like to brake his mother's things as a retaliation for throwing out his work, so it could still be a reflection of that. Plus I dont think they showed us any shots of the stuff Bradley stole in the car at the end to reconfirm that it was there....and it is almost a little too ironic that she took that many watches, when she was only ever after just the one before...

I still think it could go either way, as Normans psychosis gets worse....

  11. Romero just has to shoot the main villain in the season finale. I didn't expect anything else!

  12. Well, I was wondering if they were starting to set things up where more and more characters become more reoccurring to the end of the series to make it more and more serialized/inter related as we get deeper and deeper into the dynamics of White Pine Bay and so I wasn't sure if Bob Paris would be one of those or not, because he seemed to be a bigger fish compared to villains of previous seasons, but there are still other characters out there, such as Ramero's father that could be vital in the last two seasons story/stories...and they kept Chick Hogan and Caleb alive too so there's that.

  13. I'm not buying it. The show is quite clear when we are seeing Norman's psychosis manifest in that disassociative way. There's been no precedent set for seeing a second character all alone and having the viewer infer this is Norman. That's my take anyway.

  14. I didn't think he could ever have flashbacks/hallucinations/extrapolations of his mother and uncle as teens (which did not include him), let alone see him actually channel Norma, but over time, he did, but granted it was filmed a special way and this wasn't.

I'm just saying, until someone else in the White Pine Bay universe or the writers proves or disproves it, I'm not going to assume anything, because

  15. Fair enough. I can certainly admit the ambiguity exists. I'm just veering toward reality. To me Bradley seems the perfect character to bring in if you want Norman to commit murder again. She's already dead as far as the town is concerned. Her absence affects no one. No family will be searching for her. So Norman can kill with impunity and no suspicion would befall him. From outside forces anyway. It's really kind of clever. Had he murdered Emma or someone else that would be missed by anyone in WPB then it would drastically change the landscape of next season. Can't wait. This season was the strongest so far.

  16. OMG...that final scene gave me CHILLS... it was exactly the same scene as in Pyscho when Norman had Janet Leigh in the trunk and pushed her car in the water... im so happy we still have 2 more seasons of this Madness ...☺...

Except there could be evidence in the house, they didn't wear gloves or anything and it's also not like Norman usually hold on to trophies too---if he really killed her, it could bring a lot more problems on Norman is problem depending on how far Bob Paris got with his investigation (who he all told) and because the DEA is also investing the whole town now--where Harris has mysteriously disappeared, and where Paris could of updated Ramero Sr. on everything, and because Norma too also just went to a mental facility and revealed her son may need help.

  18. Well we don't have it yet. A&E is talking there sweet time with renewing it.

  19. Oh, i was sure i had heard it somewhere that A&E was doing only filmimg to season 5 and that was it for BM... maybe i am wrong ...☺...

  20. The producers have stated as much, but the network has not, other wise they would of renewed it for multiple seasons to begin with.
