Game of Thrones, Silicon Valley, Halt and Catch Fire, Penny Dreadful and Salem for me. Sundays are the best night of the week now that the main TV season is over. And yay for season 2 of Halt and Catch Fire.
Yay the 100! You will love that show! It is so brilliant you won't even believe. Don't quit after the first three episodes. They are a bit slow but after that, there is no episode that was even close to being bad. They are all excellent
Penny Dreadful and the Critics Choice Awards. For the first time ever, I won't care who wins in my 5 favorite categories because they all deserve it. Though I am hoping Justified gets a lot of love. Drama - Series/Actor/Actress/Supporting/Guest.
How have you been liking this season? I know you are a huge fan so therefore I am asking. I feel as if this season was a bit underwhelming compared to the other seasons which were brilliant. While still being a good season, it is a bit slower, no? Or is it just me?
I thought it started off great, but then felt slower than normal. If not slower, maybe just more underwhelming than normal..... As of last episode that feeling has changed for me though. It feel like all the arcs have hit the turning point and I'm expecting a great final three episodes of the season!
Game of Thrones, Penny Dreadful and I'm excited for the return of Halt and Catch Fire!
Also finishing up my re-watch if The Wire! I saw Martin O'Malley declare he was running for president and all I could think was that he is certainly no Tommy Carcetti... Which is ironic since he inspired the character Tommy Carcetti! Maybe he should have Aiden Gillen give his stump speeches for him? XD
I can't count the times I've watched The Wire. I'll still go back for an episode or two on any given day. I always ask myself when I see certain situations on TV, "What would Omar do?"
I haven't even had time to look at all the stuff I need to catch up on. Or maybe it's jsut that I am afraid too. I did delete some stuff I decided wasn't worth it just to get more space. I can't wait for Teen Wolf to start either. Here's hoping for an amazing ride like season 3B. I'm hoping to do some special articles before it begins if I get my marathon done before that. I've missed my Stiles time.
I hear you. It's crazy how much I still have to catch up on. And I had a major derailment this weekend in the form of the entire first season of Aquairus, which I just finished binge watching. Really went in for the pilot with very low expectations but i got addicted to it and watched the whole thing across two days. Very addictive.
I don't think you are alone since I've seen that sentiment thrown around a lot but I personally don't feel it at all. I enjoy it as much as I always have.
I have just finished binge watching Aquarius and I personally highly recommend it. However, it is not everyone's cup of tea so I am not sure how much you will enjoy it but I would still give it a try to see what comes out of it. I wasn't expecting much and probably wouldn't have watched were it not summer but I liked the pilot so I kept watching and watching and a little over 24 hours after here I am lol.
I do, I love it. It's very good! Summer has been treating me well! And I am quite excited for The Whispers and, especially, Zoo! The trailers for Zoo look amazing
When I compare it to the other seasons it has been underwhelming. It's not so much where the story's heading that's bothered me, it's the execution of things. Did they need to kill Selmy off? No, they didn't.
Also, the Sansa's rape scene wasn't needed. It's a sensitive subject, but I thought it wasn't handled well at all.
I'll still continue watching because I'm invested into the show for the long run, but this season has been very underwhelming.
I have the screener for the first two episode sitting on my laptop for about two weeks now (NBC sent us the entire season in advance) and I just haven't been able to bring myself to watch them because I think I will get bored. Plus the reviews have been pretty negative. I will probably give it a shot sometime over the summer when I am bored as hell.
I don't think it is a mass appealing show so I can understand the reviews being negative on this one and like I said, I really don't think it appeals to everyone. So I will understand if you will get bored and dislike it but for me the show really did it, I had a blast with it.
I actually stopped after the second episode because it didn't appeal to me. If I didn't have so many other shows stockpiled (plus my new summer job), then I would have given it at least another episode.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteJust Game of Thrones for me. I am still drained from the big binge watch I just did for Aquarius, though it was very much worth it.
