About the Author - Lisa Macklem
I do interviews and write articles for the site in addition to reviewing a number of shows, including Supernatural, Arrow, Agents of Shield, The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Forever, Defiance, Bitten, Glee, and a few others! Highlights of this past year include covering San Diego Comic Con as press and a set visit to Bitten. When I'm not writing about television shows, I'm often writing about entertainment and media law in my capacity as a legal scholar. I also work in theatre when the opportunity arises. I'm an avid runner and rider, currently training in dressage.
Ghost's cameo! The entire scene, actually.
ReplyDeleteStill not seeing anything but antedote
ReplyDeleteSo many great scenes in this episode....
ReplyDeleteBest Action Scene - The Jorah Mormont Story: Beware of an Angry and Desperate Bear .
Best Repartee - Thornbird I: Queen of Thorns vs High Sparrow. I want a rematch!
Best Cowardly Lion 'Put 'em Up' Scene: Samwell vs the Black Crows: Sam the Layer.
Best Karmic Slap - Cersei, this is Karma. She's been wanting to meet you for a long while....
Best Twist - Absent during the Battle of Blackwater Bay,Tyrion's uses a chain to his advantage.
Best Musical Scene - The Dornishman's Wife sung to the Dronishman's bastards.
I know the episode title refers to Tyrion, but I think Littlefinger's gift to Olenna was my favorite scene! So much poetic justice in Lancel being used against Cersei. Ramsay may be the most deserving of payback recently, but Cersei has been deserving her downfall since Season One!
Jorah fighting tooth and nail in order to see his Khaleesi and then Tyrion meeting her!! Hell yes, a book change I am very much in favour off.
ReplyDeleteThe High Sparrow/Cersei scene, you know its really good seeing Cersei's smug grin fall from her face.
Sansa/Theon scene, in fact even if Sansa's situation is terrible she it at least trying to save herself. I hope it works.
Cersei FINALLY getting served a little karma was my favorite scene of the night. Ghost making an appearance and protecting Sam and Gilly was a close second.
ReplyDeleteSo many this week: Ghost !!! Ser Jorah going nuts on the competitors to reach Khaleesi and Tyron as his gift for her. Sansa finding out Jon is now Lord Commander. My desire to kill Melisandre... and so on....
ReplyDeleteGood to know that i'm not the only one who would love to see Melisandre burn...or die. :D
ReplyDeleteGo Jorah!
ReplyDeleteGiven what Liam Cunningham has said in interviews about a red wedding-level event later this season, things ain't looking good for Shireen :(
ReplyDeleteI thought it would involve the Battle of Winterfell or Sansa going "dark" and seeking revenge on Boltons and Freys when I read production news before the season started, but after seeing the last episode now I think you may be right....
ReplyDeleteI wonder if Stannis' wife might be the one sacrificed instead of Shireen - remember ,I think her brother was one of the human torches in Melisandre's first human barbecue party.
ReplyDeleteI had a icky thought about that corkscrew type tool that Sansa snitched. She might be thinking Ramsey but if she becomes with child by that monster.. I wonder about another use for it. Eck.
ReplyDeleteCersei visits Margaery and Olenna talks to Little Finger. By the way, Tommen was pretty good in this episode, he spoke like Joffrey ! "I am the king !!!"
