I do interviews and write articles for the site in addition to reviewing a number of shows, including Supernatural, Arrow, Agents of Shield, The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Forever, Defiance, Bitten, Glee, and a few others! Highlights of this past year include covering San Diego Comic Con as press and a set visit to Bitten. When I'm not writing about television shows, I'm often writing about entertainment and media law in my capacity as a legal scholar. I also work in theatre when the opportunity arises. I'm an avid runner and rider, currently training in dressage.
The second part had even more great moments than part 1.
ReplyDeleteFor the wtf cliffhangers then Simmons getting dragged into the Kree Stone. Its the getting dragged bit that really freaked me out! But also oh damn could we be getting people developing powers from fish oil, yep!
"I'm the guy who Kills Gordon" oh Mack I'm glad they kept you around and made you fun again.
Skye promises to visit and then does, I just liked the Cal arc a lot this season. Remember how the stringer for S1 was the bloodied hand of SKye's father and now a year later we find out he wasn't really a monster, just a father and a husband trying to keep his promise. Oh Cal I miss you already.
Would add the Skye vs multi redhead woman who I know has a name but I can't think! That was in part 2 right?
Okay, but where is Skye/Jiaying/Cal scene? I think that's the best scene from both parts.
ReplyDeleteAll of the above, plus, Cal killing his love to save Skye.
ReplyDeleteBobbi takes the bullet for Hunter...she was willing to risk her life for him. That was really sweet (she cares for him).
ReplyDeleteBut the whole season finale was awesome and action-packed. Can't wait to see what Season 3 brings for us :)
That's was just an amazing season finale! Can't even pick one. Probably every scene with Kyle MacLachlan. He is just amazing! So as Kal. He is one of the best things this season had. I was enjoying watching him. So deep and tragic character...Bravo! And his transformation in finale was realy creepy. And yeah, so glad trio Mac/Bobby/Hunter is alive. Mac becomes my favorite.
ReplyDeletePeople can vote for it right here! So many great scenes in 2 hours - I was bound to miss one, right?
ReplyDeleteYeah, I totally understand you. :)
ReplyDelete"Fish oil" was on my long list - I'm sure this is an easter egg for the next Captain America movie...
ReplyDeleteNow, just don't let Fitz think Jemma ran away!!!!
I was SO excited to have Henry Simmons on the show, so I was over the moon at him coming back to the team in such a big way! I'm sad for Palicki and Blood not to get their own show, but also thrilled we get to keep them!
Fish Oil makes me look at my own vitamin supplements in a new way!
ReplyDeleteMack being back on the team makes me happy, I like that Coulson found an ideal role for him.
I hope they realise quick what has happened with Simmons, they must have cameras in that room.
The redhead who can clone herself was named Alisha in the press releases, but I don't think the name was ever said out loud on the show.
ReplyDeleteahh that's it. Probably won't see her again but she had a cool power.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed when Mac and Skye teamed up to save SHIELD, but Skye lost her parents all over again broke my heart along with Coulson saying that "She's the closest thing that I have to a family"
ReplyDeleteJemma? I got us a reservation at this new sushi bar. I know you like sushi. Jemma?
ReplyDeletemy favorite part of second half is when Cal told daisy/skye you don't have to live with that guilt i will
ReplyDeleteboy i could break down the second have of this episode with so many good episodes its not even funny
ReplyDeletestill missing a plot hole from episode 20 Robert told skye's mother than skye told Robert what hydra did to her wondering if a scene got removed from the live version of Scars
ReplyDeleteI clicked on all of them lol. Another favorite was when Lincoln teamed up with Skye and May to battle the redhead.
ReplyDeleteFitzSimmons...so much joy, followed by SO much pain.
ReplyDeleteI mean, they lock the mystery alien weapon up with basically a latch. Cameras seem far too high-tech for that room now.
ReplyDeleteSo many highlights throughout the finale for me:
ReplyDelete- Fitz asking Simmons out to dinner. OH LORD. My science babies were adorable. Hopefully we'll see them take their first date once Simmons you know...gets out of that Kree weapon.
- Skye promises to visit Cal when he gets sent away and Cal saying that he only had one best day ever: July 2, 1988. That scene just wrecked me. Give all the awards to Kyle MacLachlan already!! Man is a national treasure to us all and his story this season was incredible.
- The "Science, biatch!" line from Fitz will surely go down in the history books as the most badass line he has ever said. I freaking cheered.
- Bobbi holding her own against Ward! My damn Mockingbird did so well against the bastard and she almost sacrificed herself for Lance. Bobbi Morse is my hero.
- Jemma being sucked into that Kree weapon. For the sole reason that I literally screamed for a moment after it happened. I was not expecting that at all and that scene just made the wait for season 3 feel even more like hell.
- May taking a vacation from SHIELD in a long time. The Cavalry deserves it after all the pain that she went through this season. Looking forward to seeing her in a bikini, relaxing on the beach with a drink in her hand ;)
- Jiaying dying. I immediately was rooting against her when she attempted to murder her own daughter with no hesitation. Lady was crazy but seeing Cal kill her was so emotional. It must have been so tough for him after all these years.
- Skye/Coulson working on the secret project!! Here's hoping it's the long anticipated Secret Warriors!
Kal kept his promise to protect Skye even when that meant protecting her from her mother.
ReplyDeleteand
FISH OIL.
Skye promises to visit Cal.
ReplyDeleteOther: Cal kills Jiaying to protect his daughter.
The exact description of my next scene! Thanks for adding here!!
ReplyDeleteThe ginger fight was on my long list! Thanks for giving it joy here!
ReplyDeleteIt's almost traumatizing to only pick 9!
ReplyDeleteMay packing her red bikini. LOL.
ReplyDeleteIs Jemma an inhuman or is the Kree artefact that swallowed her sentient and hungry?
ReplyDeleteI adored all of those scenes. So many truly excellent moments. Loved every minute. I voted Bobbi takes a bullet for Hunter as I am a total sucker for those two :D
ReplyDeleteI think Skye's fight with her mother and she used her push power to knock off the quinjet into the sea then Cal had to kill her Mother to prevent her from killing Skye/Daisy.
ReplyDeleteYes everyone is wondering how Captain America Civil War is going to start since the Age of Ultron did not really show it. It comes from super powered people appearing everywhere or deaths.
ReplyDeleteI think it is sentient and chose Jemma to be it's avatar to this planet.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I imagine she won't appear again as she was played by Adrianne's stuntwoman rather than an actual actress, but it would be cool if Lincoln called her for help from time to time and she could show up for more fight scenes.
ReplyDeleteI can see that as a valid option but it went back to its original shape.
ReplyDeleteMaybe it needs time to "transform" her?
ReplyDeleteTo me that does not feel right then I would have expected the goo to slowly crawl up her body or a sort of infection.
ReplyDeleteI could see it turning to stone the team trying to break it and finding an intact Jemma inside.
It did because that is the only way the artifact can reprogram Simmons. In it liquid state the functions of the sentient wouldn't work.
ReplyDeleteI also liked the scene Cal kills Jying and Skye visits him in his new life.
ReplyDeleteI actually thought Bobbi wasn't gonna make it, or Hunter, or even both. I imagined Kara would be killed off, but Simmons surprised me !!!!!! Please, let them figure out what happened to her and save her !!!
My seven year old cousin told me Jemma went to Asgard because Thor summoned her. LOL. Hey, you never know...
ReplyDeleteOther - I liked the visit skye did. For starters: Cal talking about his clinic being a magical place. I loved it. also that hast to be foreshadowing right? He's eventually gonna get his memories back. Also i liked that skye got to drive lola, for coulson that's a huge show of trust. i mean left arm or not, did anyone else ever get to drive her?
ReplyDeleteThat scene almost made up for that stupid cliffhanger. I could spent hours renting about that, but i'm not. That's how well adjusted i am ...
When yoyu say it like that it sounds plausible.
ReplyDeleteSkye getting to drive Lola is a nice tie back to the pilot for me as well.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I liked that as well, and Skye fighting without her powers against all the Alisha's. And the VFX did a great job with the multiple Alisha thing.
ReplyDeleteThat too, and his "We're misled, not evil" comment.
ReplyDeleteYeah, that was a high point for me as well.
ReplyDeleteThat's a pretty good list of the moments I loved as well. Like you I think Cal the entire season was brilliant and how he grew from "a monster" to the person who didn't just kill his wife but did to protect Skye from both Jiaying and the burden of having to kill Jiaying.
ReplyDeleteThat pretty much sums up FitzSimmons in the entirety of Agents of Shield.
