    "Vanessa and Ethan give Sir Malcolm tragic news". This might be the end for Sambene, Danny Sapani's character. He's going to the new FX series The Bastard Executioner

    Yeah, but if Danny Sapani is going to another show, then he must be leaving this one. Being as dark as it is, I don't see leaving any other way

    I thought the same immediately but then again, why would that news come from Ethan and Vanessa? I am leaning more towards @jp1's theory about the tragic news being Sembene's death.

    I don't think John Logan would do that to a character that hasn't had a chance to tell their story. To kill him now would defeat the purpose of his character existing and having a past no one knows about. It would leave too many questions unanswered and I don't think John would do that. I'm still betting on Mrs Murray because Madame Kali is duplicitous in her actions and probably set in motion Mrs Murray's demise. She's probably out with Malcolm when the news arrives which is the reason for Vanessa and Chandler to know because they are mostly at home. This would of course throw Malcolm into some kind of guilt trip or remorse (depending on her death) so he would find comfort in Madame Kali/Poole.

    I sincerely hope that's the case. It would be a travesty to lose him so soon.

    Because somehow they are the ones who find out? The actress who plays the wife is scheduled to be on in episode 5. What point is there for her to appear, if not to die?

    Nah, if you watch the promo closely, the fetish doll Evelyn stabs looks uncannily like a certain sir's estranged wife...
    I still maintain that Angelique is going to somehow see Dorian's painting and die because of it, though - that theory is my hill to die on!
