  1. Stupid as hell that a lot of good characters are property of FOX and they ruin everything connected to it.

  2. That makes no sense. Kang debuted as Kang in a Avengers-comic. Fox have never done a great villian with Fantastic Four. And i don't think they will do it with Doctor Doom this time around either.

  3. What a shame I love Kang and was hoping post Thanos he may become a big bad in the MCU.

  4. I hope Fox makes use of the Shi'ar in X-Men movies! Otherwise there would be some great story lines that would never materialize!

The only reasoning I can see that makes sense is it's due to his last name and family ties. Depending on the origin he's either a descendant of Reed Richards and Doctor Doom or Reed Richards half brother.

  6. So you think the MCU will have a Phase 4?

  7. I pronounce the 'a' as in 'apple' (UK English).

As for if Phase 4 will exist? I think it will, and further phases as well; considering Hollywood uses the method 'find something good and run it into the ground'. The MCU is doing great and is amazing, but like everything, a time will come when people will stop being interested in it. How Marvel reacts to that, we will see.

  8. Ok, yeah because i've been pronouncing it ThaYnos for years LOL. I honestly don't think people will get tired of it, i mean come on there's MILLIONS of comics and people still read them to this day. Also in this day and age with the technology that's available, anything's possible.

  9. I think it will assuming that the whole superhero movie and TV genre doesn't collapse due to over-exposure. But seeing how they have planned up to 2019 it is a little hard to know how the movie industry will be in 4 years time.

  10. I hope it doesn't collapse, i bet it's holograms! LOL

  11. A good Phoenix Force arc that incorporates the Shi'ar is my dream for the X-Men movies. Although I won't hold my breath after The Last Stand's disastrous attempt. But I'm really pleased to hear Fox holds the rights to the Shi'ar, although I feel Kang would be put to better use in the MCU.

  12. I know /I/ won't get tired of it -and millions of other fans won't either- but I honestly think that one day people will think that it has gotten old, or something more interesting has appeared. I'm not talking next year or five years down the line, 'cause I honestly think it will be going strong till then, but interests come and go, and even though this is something that could last a long while, many a franchise have fallen due to one bad movie. Let's hope the MCU does not fall into that pot hole.

  14. Well, I Think that's why Marvel is focussing on other properties/series/characters so that people won't get tired, (and also boosting comics sales, of course), so I Think there might be a phase 4, pshase 3 has many Movies and even more characters (plus the series) so I Think it can survive even if one Movie would be panned! (And I've Heard that Guardians didn't do great with critics?)

  15. Shi'ar being owned by Fox was expected, but KANG? Seriously? Isn't he much more of an Avengers villain than Fantastic Four? Is his Rama-Tut past all that relevant in his story to justify him being owned by Fox?

  16. Feige has been on record before that Marvel Studios has plans for up to 2028, so yeah, there'll be a phase 4.

  17. If the superhero movie genre collapses the whole studio will collapse as well, they don't film anything else other than superhero movies! :)

Being a huge hardcore comics fan, I'm going to see every superhero movie in theaters, but I feel like eventually general audiences will get sick of it which sucks. When that will happen, I have no clue, but when it does it will be a very sad day for me.

Where did you hear that about Guardians? It was the most critically praised MCU movie next to The Avengers, maybe even more praised. It's at a 92% on Rotten Tomatoes.

i'm completely happy about the Shi'Ar being with Fox but not with Kang. Kang I was hoping would be the next villain after Thanos but I guess that isn't happening now. He would have been a perfect foe against the Avengers just like Ultron.

  21. Kang's THAT big? that he could've been the MCU's next Big Bad?

    ReplyDelete
  22. He's one of the Avengers' major villains, yes.

  23. Really glad Gunn's straight-forward about these things.

  24. Aw dang then that sucks that he won't be part of the MCU

  25. I would love to see a X-Men movie with the Phoenix Endsong arc included!

    ReplyDelete
  26. That would be brilliant, although there'd be a lot to get through with Jean's story before that could happen, but I would kill to see an Endsong arc in the films, especially if they can pull it off well. To be honest, any Phoenix Force arc that remains as close to the source material would be fine by me, as opposed to the split-personality mess of The Last Stand. I have high hopes for Sophie Turner as Jean, so here's hoping they do her justice and can use the Phoenix Force as a way to introduce the Shi'ar.

  27. Agreed! That would be awesome! Really have my fingers crossed for the new direction of the X-Men movies especially now that they've "fixed" the mess of The Last Stand!
